I DNFed on page 33.
I couldn’t get past the title of the second chapter bringing “For the Glory of Us.” I tried to be open minded and give it a fair shot but it was too far for me.

I found this book to be a great way to understand the big story of the Bible. The author explains how all the parts of the Bible fit together starting with creation and taking us through important stories, like Noah, Moses, and Jesus. Each part shows how much God loves people and wants to be close to us. The book is easy to read and makes big ideas simple. It helped me see how the Bible is one big story about God and us, not just a lot of little stories. I think this book is good for people who are new to the Bible or want to learn more about what it all means. It also reminds us that God is still working in our lives today. I really enjoyed it and would recommend it to others who want to understand the Bible better in a clear and easy way.

With a relatable voice that is grounded in the Gospel, Pastor Murphy thoughtfully walks us through the story of all stories, the Bible, from the beginning and Creation, to God's people turning away from God, and God's plan for rescue through Jesus Christ. I loved seeing the common themes of humanity's need for a Savior, and God's character and love toward His children. The history references throughout also add rich context and enhanced my understanding of the corresponding scripture.
This is a great resource for anyone wanting to start reading the Bible, or for those who are on their 10th year of reading the Bible. The discussion questions at the end of each chapter are perfect for journaling solo and/or discussion with a small group or bible study.
Thank you to #NetGalley and W Publishing/Thomas Nelson for the opportunity to review an ARC.
