I didn’t have a great time with this book and probably would have stopped partway through if it weren’t an arc. I think the fantasy plot and the prose were both fairly weak. the romance was enjoyable in some parts, and the three characters had good chemistry throughout.

Wow, this book combines all of my favorite tropes- why choose being #1, of course!
I picked Winds of Destiny up and was immediately enthralled in the story. I mean, we have our charming prince, who falls for his spymaster. However, he is forced to marry a man he has never met, and (cue miscommunication trope...or maybe just a little white lie?!) he ends up falling for one of the warriors on their journey to meet his soon-to-be husband.
What was my favorite part though? That's easy (excluding the romance)- the imagery! I loved how I could basically imagine the rugged landscapes and feel the tall grasses or the soft fur of the little kitten that always seemed to pop up. So many books tend to either lack in conclusive building of the setting, or they go overboard and end up describing every minuscule detail until I'm completely distracted from the main plot line. But Cari here describes everything with just enough detail that I can form my surroundings in my little daydreams but I'm still able to stick to the plot.
Also- the plot twist?!? I needed to put my Kindle down and walk away so I could breathe for a couple minutes because my heart was *racing*; it was that crazy.
This is a must read for anyone who enjoys epic quests, the feeling that love conquers all, and (dare I say) handsome men with...uh..big swords😏😂

I really enjoyed the world building, and it's clear the author is talented. There were elements I love to see in a fantasy, though this did veer more toward romance and it's SPICY! I enjoyed reading a love triangle between three MMM, something you don't see often in the genre. I found the pacing to be a bit wonky with some parts moving too fast and some dragging, but overall I enjoyed to opportunity to read this!

A childhood love, an arranged marriage, why choose, poly relationship, enemies to lovers, secret identity, adventure, spice and a great story line-this book has it all! When your father betroths you to the neighboring kingdom’s son, you do what is best for your kingdom. And its future. A tale of adventure, love and betrayal. Not my typical ready thought it had a FMC but no love triangle between three male characters. Despite this I really did enjoy reading this book. It was fast paced, kept my interest and would recommend to those who love this type of book and those who may be wanting to try something new. Just the right amount of spice with a solid plot that keeps you engaged to the end. Thank you to Entangled and NetGalley for the ARC which I voluntarily read and these opinions are my own.

Winds of Destiny by Cari Z is a breathtaking whirlwind of fantasy, passion, and peril! With vivid world-building, magnetic characters, and a delicious mix of intrigue and slow-burn romance, this story had me absolutely spellbound. The tension between loyalty, desire, and destiny crackles on every page. I was especially captivated by the layered relationships—each of the three leads is compelling, mysterious, and heartbreakingly real. Cari Z masterfully balances political stakes with raw emotion and steamy intensity. I devoured it in one sitting and didn’t want to leave this world. A mesmerizing must-read for fantasy romance lovers! 🌪️💫 #WindsofDestiny #NetGalley

As much as I enjoyed this book, and I did, the pacing was … not the best. While the plot itself — an evil prince determined to do evil things — was solid, it wasn’t given time to breathe and came across as super rushed. The focus of the story was on the romance between the two princes and the spymaster, and I think the romance was decent. Turo and Cam have known each other all their lives, but because of that the romance didn’t have any urgency. I think there was more tension and chemistry between Kai and Cam, and between Kai and Turo . Between Cam and Turo the relationship was so expected and so much a given that there was no surprise to any of it.
The writing was good, and I think the character work was good. I could easily tell all three characters apart, and they all had a distinct point of view. I’m not sure I’d recommend it as a fantasy story, but as a romance, sure. It’s nice to see a polyamorous relationship with all three characters given even attention. Thank you very much to Net Galley and the publisher for the ARC.

I enjoyed reading this book. Though it was more romance then fantasy, I like how the author timed world-building. The overall ideas and plot were new and I honestly found it refreshing. Some places in the book, I would feel lost when it came to characters reactions to situations. It made me feel disconnected to the plot at times. I hope to see more from this author!

This was an interesting read with a unique world and some solid character moments. I liked the overall concept and the slow build of the story, but it took a while to really grab me. The pacing felt uneven in places, and I found myself wanting a bit more emotional depth or connection between the characters. That said, the writing was strong and there were definitely parts that kept me intrigued. A decent read for fans of slower-paced fantasy with a touch of romance.

Overall the story is good. The oysters was clever but the extra part of intimacy making it work better doesn’t make sense if it works when they are close to sleep. Also the sacrifice of the gods didn’t make a lot of sense- that whole section was confusing.

I flew through this book! Definitely heavy on the romance more so than the world building but I didn’t mind that too much though, I hope in the future we do see more of the world in depth because it was really interesting. The ending leaves it open so fingers crossed for another book following Cam, Turo and Kai on new adventures and settling into their relationship ❤️

Thank you Entangled for the ARC! I wasn’t expecting this to be a MMM but it was a good spicy read!
It wasn’t really normally my cup of tea, but it was still pretty good! It’s categorized more as a romantasy but like others have said, it felt like romance wasn’t at the forefront of the book.
Thank you for the arc!

This book has all the ingredients for an epic Romantasy! Royalty, adventure, betrayal, kidnapping, magic, loyalty, tension, you name it, it’s there. Camrael is your MMC. The book starts out with the author showcasing the relationship dynamic between him and his bodyguard/spymaster in training/ best friend, Turo. It also delves into the action, setting the stage for the protagonist of the story and the ensuing action. I found it a little hard to follow in the beginning. There are lots of names of people and place dropping. I felt a bit lost. But after the first big action scene, things calmed down and leveled out.
After the first action scene, we find out more details of the plot and where the story is going. Camrael is betrothed to Prince Eleas and he must travel with Prince Eleas’ proxy,Kai, to his future kingdom. Without revealing too much, feelings enter the stage. The dynamic between Camrael, Turo and Kai develops and changes. I didn’t read the synopsis very carefully and didn’t take in the fact that this book is MMM. That relationship dynamic isn’t my cup of tea, but if you are into that, this book is definitely for you! The push and pull, intensity and feels are all well written and developed.
As a huge romantasy lover, my favorite part of the book was the magical elements. I loved seeing how Cam’s magic developed and the differing abilities of people from different areas.
The journey and climax were very well paced and laid out. I would have liked a little bit more backstory on their ultimate destination. It’s a big deal because this place was thought to be lost, but other than what happened to the Gods we don’t know much about it and why it is so important. I also was just waiting on more information on Turo. It alludes to him being more important than what is strictly written.
All of the major points in the action sequence are wrapped up nicely at the end, but there is plenty of room for this plot line to grow into a series. Especially the dangling carrot that is Turo! If you like a book heavy on relationship and romance development, with a big huge helping of fantasy dessert- this book is for you!!!
I did receive a digital ARC of this book. Thank you Entangled Publishing and Cari Z.

I appreciated the representation. It started strong and kept a face peace throughout the book which was good. This is more of a romantasy from the beginning esthetic then a fantasy book. I found the characters hard to relate to though.

Winds of Destiny gets 3 stars from me! From reading the blurb I thought this was going to be more of a romantasy but romance was definitely on the forefront of this book. I'm not saying that's a bad thing, just that I expected a bit more of the fantasy aspect to be involved.
This was not my first time reading about a threesome but it was in a fantasy setting and boy oh boy it was spicy! I liked the tension and the jealousy! Call me toxic but I definitely thought it made the plot fun!! Cam, Turo, and Kai are all well developed and have distinct personalities which I enjoy. Sometimes when you read a book with multiple love interest you lose the individuality in the characters.
Each of these things normally would make for a 5 star read but that lack of real fantasy elements is where I had to take away! Now, if this becomes a series I may have different thoughts!!
Thank you Entangled Publishing for the arc!

I think we need more romantasy books like this. These three kept fighting for each other, every step of the way and that shows in each chapter and point of view. Honestly, such a good read and I recommend it for everyone! We need more queer romantasy stories out there, and this one is so good! I am glad their story is not over!
Thank you Entangled Publishing for the eArc in exchange for my review!

Spicy with a good plot!
A M/M/M romantic fantasy is not my typical choice, but I am SO glad I read it. I was hooked from the start.
If you're looking for a fun read with great, yet easy-to-follow world building, multiple main characters full of personality, and well-written spice, then you will enjoy this book!
I love the writing style of the author, the different POVs, and the creative God's characters. I will definitely look out for future books by this author. Thank you for broadening the horizon of my normal, go-to book picks.

I loved the story, the world building and meeting the different characters. I felt completely immersed in the story and couldn't stop reading it.

This was my first MMM romance and it did not disappoint! It was steamy, emotional and the plot was plotting. Really enjoyed it though I could have used less winning. All in all a solid read!

This book was a whirlWIND (get it? HA) and I had so much fun with it!
An MMM romantasy with arranged marriage AND bodyguard trope! The relationship development and growth is wonderful as the characters navigate their own personal responsibilities and feelings. I honestly found myself loving all three, Cam, Kai, and Turo equally throughout the story.
The pacing is insane, I feel like things were constantly happening - between action fight scenes or deeply emotional relationship-building scenes (both the sexual and nonsexual kinds), I feel like for most of this book I was just going going going. In the second half, however, the pacing takes a little turn and the sequence of events leaves a few more gaps but I still found the story very enjoyable.
The fantasy elements are fun - with regional gods and blessings, abilities that change the course of political powers. It's all very exciting and fairly easy to imagine/follow.

This was such a fun and steamy MMM romantasy that brought together two princes and a loyal bodyguard in a story filled with heart, danger, and swoony tension. Camrael is on his way to marry Prince Eleas to secure a royal alliance, escorted by his longtime bodyguard and secret love, Turo. Along the way, they’re joined by the mysterious and charming Kai, who’s actually Eleas in disguise, and a group of trusted guards as they travel through dangerous lands, dodge a ruthless king, and face betrayal that tests their bond.
Cam wears his heart on his sleeve and definitely brings the drama, but that’s part of his charm. Kai is the calm, protective force with the patience of a saint, and Turo? He’s the ride-or-die protector who would burn the world down to keep Cam safe. Their chemistry is off the charts, and the romance unfolds with tenderness, passion, and a deep sense of soul-bound loyalty. The world-building was rich without being overwhelming, and the pacing made it an easy, engaging read. The ending teases more adventure to come, and I’m already hoping for a sequel to spend more time with this trio and the world they inhabit.
