I AM SCREAMING.

THIS WAS SOOOO GOOD OMGGGG WTF

ALRIGHT I NEED MORE.

The way Kai, even at the VERY beginning, put Cam’s happiness first and was SO DETERMINED to make him happy melted by fuckin heart. He was so determined to make Cam happy, he was going to bring Turo into the mix and the way he handled Cam’s heart was just the fucking sweetest.

Turo and Kai were absolutely enamored by Cam and all they wanted was him happy.

Be still my heart

Entangled, thank you SO MUCH.

This book gave me so many emotions. I've been waiting to read this book a joke and it didn't disappoint. Can't say enough good things about it and I would read it over and over again.

I am living for the premise of this book. Give me all of the bodyguard and whiny prince romances. The characterization was nice, and the romance was definitely at the forefront of this, rather than the fantasy elements.

Thank you for letting me read but this one was just not for me. I did not end up finishing it. I didn’t fully understand the premise from the blurb.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for this book.

It really wants my cup of tea, but i can see the allure for cetain readers.

The characters, setting and story line were spot on it was just not for me.

I can, however, recommend it for individuals who enjoy the genre.

A spicy romantasy featuring a spymaster and two princes.

Camrael is engaged to Prince Elian for a political alliance, but isn't happy about it because he's in love with Turo, a childhood friend and warrior who guards him. Kai arrives to Camrael's city to pick him up to bring back to Prince Elian for the marriage, and acts as a marriage proxy. On their journey, they encounter a villainous plot and Kai and Turo have to work together to get Camrael back.

Camrael and Kai were an insta-love situation, which is not my normal jam, but the build up for incorporating Turo was more realistic. The plot moves quickly and includes evil men, magical creatures, gods, and a missing city. Thanks to Entangled Publishing for the ARC. My opinions are my own.

The plot of Winds of Destiny is great. The lore and magic of the kingdom is fantastic. The animals gods were my favorite aspect of this story. The romance is also great. My main complaint for this story is the lake of female characters. I realize this is a LGBTQ story, and not hearing a single slur was refreshing, but for a “kingdom with liberal ideals” I would have expected to see some female soldiers also.

Prince Camrael is engaged to a man he’s never met. It’s a political match, and to make matters worse, Cam is already in love with someone else—his quiet and dangerous bodyguard Turo. But there’s no escaping Cam’s fate, especially once Commander Kai arrives, handsome, flirtatious, and charged with escorting Cam to Huridell where his new husband awaits. In a world with weakening gods, dwindling magic, and an enemy King who will do anything for power, a journey is never simple, and when a betrayal splits the group, all three men must embrace their destinies, protect their gods, and accept the love they share—before it’s too late.

When I picked up Winds of Destiny, I was expecting a fun, spicy, M/M/M why choose romance (which Cari Z certainly delivers!), but this book really shines through its top-notch fantasy writing. The author strikes the perfect balance between bedroom and battlefield, and I found the magic system, political history, and overarching plot so compelling that I was almost (ALMOST, I say!) impatient when the focus shifted to the growing tension and spicier moments between Cam, Kai, and Turo. I mean that, of course, as a massive compliment to Cari Z’s worldbuilding skills, because the romance element was a delight—steamy, dynamic, and heartwarming in all the right ways.

Each of the men are ridiculously easy to fall for (Cam is the Crown Prince of Snark and you can pry him away from my cold 💀 hands), but their characterizations feel important beyond their likeability—Winds of Destiny features queer men who experience and express the full spectrum of emotion, who are strong, who cry, who feel hopeless and helpless, who fight for their freedom, their realm, and the safety of those they love. Each is unique, and I enjoyed getting to watch their relationships shift and unfold as the plot progressed.

I hope to see Winds of Destiny stretch into a series, and though this story doesn’t end on a cliffhanger, there are more than enough unanswered questions to explore in a sequel. For now, Winds is a satisfying standalone read, and an absolute must for fans of why choose, queer romance, and well-crafted romantic fantasy!

Thank you to the publishers at Entangled /Amara for allowing me to read an ARC of this book via Netgalley. All thoughts in the review below are entirely my own.

I want to start off by saying that I think that the romance is really the main focus of this book. There are some more fantasy plot elements, they really take the back seat, and in the end feel a little bit underdeveloped/rushed for my liking. I still overall had a good time while reading this book. I just ultimately felt like it needed more depth in some parts.

I thought the characters had good chemistry with each other. Some of the spicy scenes that happen between them were top notch! The three of them had good chemistry and banter with each other. I also liked the moments of jealousy that popped up. The romances felt believable and had moments of buildup. I just didn't really like that Kai was hiding his identity from the other two for a good chunk of the book. It is one thing if he wasn't intimate with either of them but once he crossed that line he should have told them the truth. Regardless of whatever is accepted in his kingdom or not.

The setting- I think that some of the scenes lacked description. I had a hard time picturing what things looked like. I also wish that more of the magic system was described, and we got to see more of the political strife and buildup between the kingdoms. I just really wanted more from the fantasy elements of this book. It had some interesting building blocks but just ultimately didn't get put all together.

Overall I thought this was a fine read. I think that it is perfect for a reader who wants a more romance focused book with just a hint of fantasy. I also should say that I liked that the world in the story is accepting of M/M relationships, and poly relationships. I feel like that is something I haven't read a lot of in this genre so I really appreciated that aspect of the story.

A clever prince, the spymaster who is both his friend and bodyguard, and a fierce warrior with a secret, set off on a quest that quickly turns into more danger and intrigue than any of them could have imagined. At risk are their homelands and gods, but most importantly, their hearts.

I loved every twist and detail of this book so much that I'm afraid talking about it will give away anything, so I'm keeping this review as light on details as possible. Which I'm happy to say is something that Cari Z did not skimp on. The lush descriptions of locations, people, battles, and emotions are on full display to bring the characters and their world to life so that you're instantly connected and engaged in everything they're going through. Cam, Turo, and Kai are perfect together in any combination and even better all together, and reading about them slowly accepting that fact as they fight for their lives was thrilling.

Delighted thanks to NetGalley and Entangled: Amara for the sizzling read!

I truly enjoyed this read. It was fun and packed full of adventure and fun. It is my first read from Cari Z, but it will not be my last. I will defintely be recommending this book to book clubs!

Sadly, I was not able to get into this book. I have it 20% and just couldn't get into the storyline, and was struggling with the plot. I found it hard to connect with the characters as I don't resonate with a spoiled brat of a prince.

I wish there was more substance.

This fantasy book drew me in with its plot of elusive magic, scheming, and spicy romance. I enjoyed the world that was built in this book. It was easy to understand while still being interesting and unique. The dynamic of Cam, Kai, and Turo worked so well. Their personalities meshed like they were fated to be together. The side characters also intrigued me. I hope there are future books about the other characters we met in this book!

This was everything I didn't know I needed and I had a great time reading this.

Prince x Spymaster x Warrior: We have Camrael, Prince of Zephyth, Turo, bodyguard & childhood friend to Camrael, and Kai, royal guard to Prince Eleas of Huridell (Cam's betrothed).

Romance: I freaking loved it. Camrael/Kai is a bit of an insta-love situation but Camrael and Kai/Turo is a delicious slow burn. Best of both worlds. I loved how they were so different and had distinct personalities that complimented each other so well.

Fantasy: While this is a bit romance heavy, I thought it was balanced perfectly with the world-building and magic. The world-building was pretty complex and at times I felt a little confused but ultimately it all made sense and I loved it. There were a lot of unique aspects to the world & magic systems that made it stand out from other romantasy books I've read.

This ended in a way that wrapped up the story while also leaving some things open-ended, with potential room for more books. I have no idea if this is going to be a series but I really hope so because I need more Cam/Turo/Kai and I especially want to dive deeper into Turo's backstory!

What could go wrong with an arranged marriage to someone who won't meet until after the wedding?

I really enjoyed this story, however I felt it to be poorly executed. I struggled to imagine both the scenery and the characters. The current book cover does show characters, but only one vague characteristic is given for a character, and it's not shown on the cover. This story perhaps could have been a duo with so much more description given.

I found the types of gods in the story to be unique, and they each had their own story to tell. The stories of the cities were fascinating, from beginning to end. The story wraps up nicely, but if a sequel were written, I would likely read it. Especially if the story was told in more detail.

Thank you Entangled Publishing for the ARC opportunity. This review has been left voluntarily.

I really wasn’t sure what to expect going into this book, but I was not disappointed in the slightest! This book has a bit of everything, if you are looking for adventure, magic, suspense, spice, romance.. I loved all three MMC's and the different gods were all so well written. The plot was well paced and kept my attention the whole time. I really don't want to wait for the next book, although there isn't a cliff hanger here, the door is left open to continue the story and I would love to hear from Cari Z and this trio!!

Set in a world where the everwinds have died and magic is fading, this story follows a prince, his bodyguard, and a new husband as they navigate betrayal, court intrigue, and the growing love between them. I loved the rich world-building, the fast-paced adventure, and the emotional depth between the three men. Their chemistry felt natural and powerful, making the polycule romance believable and heartfelt. The blend of action, magic, and spice kept me hooked from start to finish. I especially appreciated how the characters' relationships evolved so organically. If you’re looking for a spicy MMM fantasy romance packed with adventure, betrayal, loyalty, and steamy connections, I highly recommend picking this one up.

Thank you entangled for the eARC and the opportunity to read this in advance. This book did not hook me like I thought it would. Loved the characters and the spice, but felt like some details were left out on world building and plot.

I loved the dynamic between these 3. Cam is the playful one, Turo is the broody protector, and Kai is the sweet patient one. We even get POVs from all 3!

This story is full of adventure, suspense, magic, romance plus some spice. I loved seeing these characters evolve throughout the story. The uniqueness of the gods and their magic was nicely done.

Unfortunately, this book was not for me, I tried to keep pushing through it and it came to a point I had to DNF it, around 50%. I could not connect with the characters that much, being that it was a 3 POV book, when I only like reading one character, Kai, it made it hard to connect to the book and keep reading. Overall, I found that this book was more of a romance than a fantasy book, as it was very heavy on romance. As someone who also does not love heavily romance based books, it can also explain why I had to put it down as the romance started right away. I wish the book had more world building and fantasy.

Thank you NetGalley and Entangled Publishing for this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
