Easy reading, but the writing lacks something, most of the time it just describes what is happening to Celeste and only sometimes her emotional reaction to it. Still, it was an OK read in my opinion. Thank you to netgalley and the publishers for giving me a copy of the book.

As we follow Celeste Mogador across the glittering ballrooms and seedy gambling hells, we follow her life and experience her ups and downs as a French Courtesan at the start of the Revolution.
