What a heartwarming way to end summer with this book. I loved all the sisters and their relationship. A favorite part of this book was the menu descriptions where I could vividly see what an amazing place Mimi’s is for the island. I want to have lunch there!

Don't read this book when you're hungry! 3.5 stars

Mandy, Emma, and Jill inherit their grandmothers favorite restaurant after her passing. They were shocked to know that their grandmother was a secret owner, and she won it from a bet. They can sell the restaurant, but only after they all work there for a year. One sister lives in Nantucket, one in Arizona, and the other in NYC. All three with different things going on in their lives. Will they be able to run this restaurant for a year, or will they sell to Paul, the manager, who their grandmother left a share of the restaurant to.

All three sisters go through some things in this year, and they all find a piece of themselves as well. There is new love, mourning of love lost, and friendships made along the way. This book is filled with all the food, and will make your mouth water and make you want to make a trip to Nantucket.

Perfect for fans of Nantucket stories, Elin Hilderbrand, and just a family fiction story. Nothing crazy happening, but a light palate cleanser for you and a good beach read!

I'd say since this book has 1/3 of new content, don't listen to past reviews, because I found it to be a quick and easy read! I'd love to know what wasn't included in the previously published version.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advanced copy!

I really wanted to like this one, because it seemed like it would have the same vibes as an Elin Hilderbrand's books, which I love for a good palate cleanser. There was just no substance to the story, the characters were flat, and I felt no connection to any of it. Very disappointing. Maybe her next book will redeem her.

really enjoyed reading Nantucket Summer. It’s actually two books in one, and it follows a girl named Cricket through two summers on the island of Nantucket.
At first, Cricket is excited to spend the summer with her best friend Jules. But something tragic happens, and things don’t go the way she planned. Her friendship with Jules changes, and Cricket has to figure things out on her own. She ends up staying on the island, getting a summer job, meeting new people, and even falling in love. The second book continues her journey as she deals with more choices, including college and her future.
What I liked most about this book was how real the emotions felt. Cricket goes through heartbreak, friendship drama, love, and a lot of personal growth. I could relate to how she sometimes felt confused and unsure of herself, but kept trying to do the right thing.
The setting was also really beautiful. The way the author described Nantucket made me feel like I was there at the beach, the town, the sunsets. It gave me that cozy summer feeling, even when things in the story got emotional or serious.
Some parts were a little predictable, especially the romance, but I didn’t mind too much. It still kept me interested, and I wanted to see how Cricket’s story would end.
Overall, Nantucket Summer is a great book for anyone who likes summer stories with romance, friendship, and personal growth. It’s an easy read, but it also has a lot of heart.

This was my first Pamela M. Kelley book, and I loved it! Three sisters (Jill, Emma, and Mandy) rush to their dying grandmother's side at the hospital. They all make it there to say goodbye. However, upon reading her will, they find out she has left them her restaurant, Mimi's Place (which they didn't know she owned), but there's a catch. They must all work together for a year before selling, or they forfeit their shares to the fourth owner, the head chef, Paul.

I practically raced through this book. It was so comforting to see these sisters supporting one another and working through issues. It's like a Hallmark movie in a book, and a very feel-good, cozy read. Thank you to Sourcebooks Landmark for providing this book for review consideration via NetGalley. All opinions are my own.

This one was not for me. I tried to finish this but I was not engaged so I think it just wasn’t for me.

The Nantucket Restaurant follows three sisters who unexpectedly inherit their grandmother’s secret stake in a popular island restaurant, only to discover they must work there for a year alongside the longtime chef before making any decisions. What starts as a surprise inheritance quickly becomes a test of family, priorities, and the charm (and challenges) of life on Nantucket.

This book reminded me a bit of Here’s to Us (maybe because I read that recently), but without a lot of unique Nantucket details to really pull me in. The characters were a little dull and sometimes hard to keep straight, and overall it just didn’t leave much of an impression.

The Nantucket Restaurant is a sweet story about family and food with a little romance sprinkled in like freshly shaved parmesan cheese being added to a dish tableside. The food descriptions are impeccable. It’s no secret that I love to travel, and I especially love finding restaurants to try. Mimi’s Place has been added to my list of Nantucket restaurants from books that I wish were real, joining The Blue Bistro. Three sisters are bequeathed their grandmother's secret restaurant after her passing with one big catch - they all have to work there together for a year before they can possibly sell it. The timing is perfect for the sisters to unite on the island, and I loved reading about how they balanced so much change. It's a story of healing and growth as much as it is about the restaurant, and I read it quickly. I think it would be a great read to finish the summer - because August is nearly over 😭
Many thanks to Sourcebooks Landmark and NetGalley for early access to the ebook in exchange for my honest opinion. The book is available everywhere now!

Pamela Kelley has such a gift for writing warm, cozy stories, and The Nantucket Restaurant is a perfect beach read for summer. 🌊 It follows three sisters who return to Nantucket after their grandmother passes away, only to discover she’s left them Mimi’s Place, their favorite restaurant growing up.
I loved the mix of family dynamics, second chances, and coastal charm. This book has everything I want in a summer book: sisters finding their way, a little romance, and the heart of Nantucket life.
If you enjoy Elin Hilderbrand, or just want a heartwarming story about family, friendship, and food, this one is for you. 📚💕

Pamela Kelly’s books are always warm and cozy, and reading them makes me happy.
I enjoyed getting to know each sisters story and reading how they rekindled their relationships with each other. We were about to see how each sister would enjoy working at their grandmother's restaurant that was left to them and what jobs they would be drawn to. They all of course fell into the job that suited them perfectly and that they enjoyed. I like these books where there is a certain time period that the benefactor have to be at a place before they can sell. You know how that's going to work.

If you’re looking for a lovely summer read, give this one a shot.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the arc.

The Nantucket Restaurant is a short slow burn that is amazing!! I love the three sisters and loved that each were facing different issues but were there for each other. I thought this book was such a good cozy summer read.

I received an ARC of this book from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.

There were a lot of things that I liked about this book, but my favorite was the way the author captured the feeling of being in Nantucket. I felt like I was transported there!

I loved the sister theme to this story and how they teenaged up and moved to Nantucket to run the restaurant their grandma left behind. I could just picture the way Nantucket looked and it made me want to transport myself there. This was such a cozy and feel good read.

When their eloped grandmother dies, she leaves her restaurant to her three granddaughters, with the caveat that they keep it and work there for a year. All three knew it was their family’s favorite restaurant, but did not know their grandmother owned it. Emma, Mandy and Jill are all facing their own personal issues, but get along well together and are anxious to be successful. The chef at the restaurant is also part of the deal, getting his 1/4 if all goes well. I’m not sure it is a book I would rave about, but it was a pleasant and quick read. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

I enjoyed the setting, the characters, and the story, but found it was very slow. Three sisters inherit their grandmother's restaurant and have to keep it open and running for a year. Lots of life changes and decisions for the sisters.

This is my second book I have read by author Pamela Kelley. It was a short book yet it took me forever to finish. It was a slow burn story about three sisters who inherit a restaurant after the passing of their beloved grandmother. I enjoyed the setting and all the food talk. The perfect backdrop for a summer beach read…

Liked it! Felt like a food tour of Nantucket. Easy to read and a great beach read, especially if you love the Cape and Islands.

Thank you for the opportunity to read and review this ARC,

I didn't finish the book, so this is just a placeholder rating.

I read about 30% of The Nantucket Restaurant and just could not get invested. I really wanted to get sucked into a summery read on Nantucket, but the writing didn't pull me in and the storyline felt very predictable, almost cringey (again, I didn't finish, but I have a pretty good idea about how it ended). Thank you nonetheless for the eARC!

I wanted to read this book because I loved the cover. It was a quick read, which is what I was looking for in this book. This is my first book written by Pamela Kelley, and I will definitely be grabbing more of her books. The characters are relateable.
