I really wanted to like this more because of some good reviews I seeing. Unfortunately this book was not for me. I considered DNF'ing this but wanted to give a review based on the entire story. I found that I just did not care for any of the characters in the book. All are very superficially described and no real depth in the character development. Almost every theme imaginable was touched on in this book--death, infidelity, divorce, addiction, etc. Of course the ending was pretty predictable and unsurprising.

*The Nantucket Restaurant Inheritance* follows three sisters—Mandy, Emma, and Jill—who inherit their grandmother’s restaurant on Nantucket and must work together for a year before they can sell it. As they navigate their personal crossroads, they confront the challenges of running a struggling restaurant, reconnect with each other, and discover the tight-knit complexities of their hometown.

Another wonderful story of family who you as a reader want to know more about you want to learn what will come next for them Pamela Kelley always invites the reader into her world of friendship, life situations and recipes that are mouth watering I anxiously wait for the next time we are in their world

I've read several books by Pamela Kelley and loved them all. This one did not disappoint. I did not realize that is a reissue of an earlier published title, but that didn't matter. It is a feel good story about 3 sisters and their lives coming together for a year on Nantucket as a condition of their grandmother's will. It was like watching a Hallmark movie, and I felt like I was on Nantucket getting to know each of them.

This is definitely a feel-good book. It is a good book for a summer beach read. The plot was a bit predictable. There were no surprise plot twists. I felt it needed a bit deeper dive into the characters. I see it as a nice visit to Nantucket.

Pamela Kelley is a must read author for me. Her next book, The Nantucket Restaurant is a perfect summer read! Don’t miss it!

Title: The Nantucket Restaurant
Author: Pamela Kelley
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Previously published as The Restaurant in 2020, Mandy, Emma, and Jill inherit their grandmother’s restaurant, Mimi’s Place, after her passing. Located on Nantucket, the sisters have to live and work at the restaurant for a year before deciding, along with the fourth member of ownership, head chef Paul, if they keep the restaurant or sell. A lighthearted read, this re-release tells each sisters’ story of how she rebuilds a new life in a delicious setting. Goodreads shows it as the #1 book of a series, but I don’t see any others listed beyond it.
Positives: Sisterhood and starting over are the core themes of The Nantucket Restaurant. This is also a quick read at just over 200 pages (233 digital copy).
Struggles: There always has to be the disliked character and in this one, the character of Cory is an egotistical narcissist.
Thank you to NetGalley and SOURCEBOOKS Landmark for the advanced copy. Opinions expressed are my own. This book will be republished on June 10, 2025.

This is a fantastic summer-at-the-beach type of book. It was easy to like the plot, and Kelley crafted interesting characters with three sisters and the memory of their grandmother. I adored that connection as I was super close with mine. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

Pamela Kelley is an auto-read author for me. I truly enjoy her books and the revamp/refresh of The Nantucket Restaurant was a pleasure to read.
I enjoy the comradery and support the sisters give each other. And the back story of Gram is so touching.
This Nantucket based story is a clean, women's fiction style and would fit nicely on the list of Tammy Grace, Annie Cabot, Maggie Miller and Hope Holloway readers.
Five stars from me with thanks to #NetGalley for the opportunity to early read.
