After reading book 1 and loving this series, then soaking up this book very slowly I may add and loving them pretty sure I will read anything this author writes from here on out. I enjoy the fantasy part, the romance and all the creatures and world building. Now I will be patiently waiting for the next book in the series. Thank you for an early copy.

This is a new to me author and subgenre and I have to say I am obsessed!
So many twists and turns! I was pleasantly surprised. I came to this read with an open mind and curiosity and I was rewarded.

You have to experience it yourself so I recommend you pick up the first book and follow with this one,as you have to read everything in order.

5 stars! I can't wait for what's next,!

Fated mates romance, found family, murder mystery, magic, and drama combine to make this an addicting book and series. Fallen Court picks up right where Filthy Rich Fae left off, then takes it up several notches in intrigue and lore. I spent the whole book trying to guess the twists (unsuccessfully) and reveling in the love story between Lach and Cate. Lach is the shadow daddy we all deserve, with a morally grey heart and a dirty mouth. The cliffhanger was SO RUDE and I can’t wait for book 3!!

Thank you to NetGalley and Entangled for the ARC of this book in exchange for my honest review! I’ll be buying the gorgeous sprayed edge paperback for my shelf and rereading it on audio very soon because I just know Aiden Snow is going to knock it out of the park as a shadow daddy.

This book picks up right where the first one left off—and it does not slow down for a second. I was completely hooked, hanging onto every twist, betrayal, secret, and emotionally charged moment between Cate and Lach. The way this man loves? Absolutely feral. Obsessive, alpha, mysterious—and Cate? She’s fierce, loyal, powerful, sharp-tongued, and just the right kind of unhinged. She’ll burn the world down for the people she loves. Together, they’re chaos and comfort wrapped into one, and I’m obsessed.

The worldbuilding continues to be top notch—high stakes, darker magic, juicier secrets. We're diving deeper into the courts, the Wild Hunt, and maybe even a spicy little enemies-to-lovers subplot that has my full attention. This book is dark, steamy, emotional, and packed with twists—all delivered at a breakneck pace. I love how the subplots weave seamlessly into the main storyline, keeping things rich and layered beyond just the central romance.

These cliffhangers are slowly destroying me, and I am not okay with how long I have to wait for the next one.

A huge thank you to Entangled Publishing for giving me the opportunity to ARC read Filthy Rich Fae: Fallen Court as part of the Insiders read-along!

Summary (including some maybe spoilery details):

Where to begin… we ended book 1 with Lach marked by the memento mori and on the run from the Wild Hunt and Cate having been kidnapped by Oberon at the behest of her younger brother Channing who thought he was doing her a favor. Book 2 picks up immediately where book 1 leaves off and you get a little bit of an info dump in the beginning with Oberon and his plans/reasoning for making the bargain with Channing and going thru with her kidnapping. Oberon has been up to NO good and wants to star a war between the Fae Courts to take over the fallen Terra Court and name himself King of the Fae, and in order to do that he has to take out Lachlan Gage. With Lach on the lam he is still determined to get Cate back by any means no matter the cost and let’s just say he is very much a do first think later kind of guy.

Despite all Lach’s efforts, Cate managed to get herself free with the aid of some witches. Upon Cates return Lach has some explaining to do about the status of their relationship and some revelations about Cates identity… she may not be who she seems and the key to this information lies in removing Cates mother’s ring. Except it’s stuck, or rather magically bound to her and it’s imperative to the future of the Fae Courts that they get answers. Ciara in Lach’s absence worked with the other creatures of New Orleans to place a spell around the city to prevent the Wild Hunt from entering in order to bide them time to remove the memento mori from Lach and get some answers on all of the issues that have arose. When a string of murders starts happening across the city, tensions between the Parishes have never been higher and the pressure has never been more on for the Gage family to find out who is working against them and how do they stop it.

Some of my thoughts:

The amount of revelations in this book and the fun little murder mystery game we all got to play was fun. We learn a lot more about the world as a whole, with the major introduction and roles of the other creatures in it. Cate as always was WILDLY irritating to me, she continues to put Channing above herself when he has continuously fucked up again and again and even put her in serious harms way, making decisions for her as if he knows best. He’s not even her actual brother and she places a higher emphasis on his safety than her own. She continues to insert herself where she does not belong in Lach’s work and responsibilities as head of the Nether Court in the name of “equality” in their relationship. If a man acted toward a woman the way Cate acts toward Lach, demanding to go to meetings and crime scenes and be involved in his LITERAL JOB everyone would hate him… but Cates a girl so everyone thinks she’s “a badass independent woman who can handle a lot more than you think”… the hypocrisy is crazy, but what do I know 🤷🏻‍♀️. I think her character growth was minimal and while yes finding out more and more about the supernatural world and stuff about yourself that’s been a lie is a lot and very stressful… she could at least have SOME growth!? Lachlan continues to put Cate above everyone else and continued to keep his family in the dark about important things while still acting like an asshole to them despite how that caused more problems for him throughout the book, and yes love and what not and he doesn’t want them to worry blah blah blah but bro… you could’ve prevented sooooo much shit if you just like asked for help/considered others???? Ciara was put in a position she never wanted to be in and is a little avoidant at times in this book about certain things, but still maintains the things that made us love her in book one and is still the sister and best friend Cate never had. Her and Rourke have some tension and oooh girl if they don’t get together by the end of this series I stg. Shaw is still a brat and will forever and always be sus, he gets into some massive shit in this book and then tries to redeem himself like he didn’t cause problems constantly like no sir doesn’t work like that. I loved the involvement of witches so heavily in this book and getting to see more of everyone’s magic and their capacities a bit. I think the lore/history could be expanded upon way more but I think that will come down the line in the series for sure based on what we know now.

Some very important stuff happens at the end that I predicted from miles away and was concerned about the whole book that the characters just conveniently forgot and set us up for dealing with almost the same problem heading into book 3. Lach is still on the run, Oberon is still trying to start a war, and Cate is at the center of it all. With the craziness of the final chapter we’re headed into even rougher waters in the next book, betrayals were made, war is imminent, secrets have been revealed and we were teased with Fiona having information that could be vital to it all.

Despite my irritation with some of the characters I still very much enjoyed this book and it was 4 stars with about 1.5/5 spice… I’m just opinionated and easy annoyed but I still loved it😂 I can’t wait for book 3!

I initially thought this was the finale, but it turns out there's more to come, as it ends on yet another cliffhanger. The story is steamy and packed with secrets, drama, and scheming characters set in the fae world. If you're a fan of romance and high-stakes intrigue, this one won’t disappoint.

The plot picks up right where the previous book left off, which I appreciated—it doesn't waste any time and quickly dives into the action. That said, I still feel the previous installment was stronger overall.

Dark, sexy, and addictive—this book delivered exactly what I wanted from a fae fantasy romance. The world is dangerous and decadent, and the tension (both romantic and political) kept me turning the pages. The main characters have serious chemistry, and the twists added just enough edge. A few parts felt a little over the top, but honestly, that’s part of the fun. Perfect if you’re into morally gray fae, steamy drama, and court intrigue.

Geneva Lee has outdone herself with this sequel, deepening the intrigue, romance, and suspense. Cate, a trauma nurse, is thrust into the dark fae world, where she strikes a deadly bargain with Lachlan Gage, the fearsome fae prince. Their chemistry is intense, and the world-building is rich and immersive. The stakes keep rising as the tension between fae courts escalates, and Cate’s role becomes more crucial. I loved watching the characters evolve and grow, especially the tender moments between Cate and Lachlan. The cliffhanger at the end left me desperate for the next book, and I can’t wait to see how this thrilling series concludes.

Rated 4.5 Stars

Filthy Rich Fae: Fallen Court was fantastic. It was the perfect blend of paranormal romance, fantasy, urban fantasy and romantic supense. I loved it. It was packed with action, twists, turns, secrets galore and so much more. This book was a crazy-wild ride that I thoroughly enjoyed. It kept me engaged and at the edge of my seat waiting to see what would happen next. It was intense. The pressure was definitely on for Lach and Cate. There were many tense moments. The stakes were super high. I can't wait to read the conclusion especially after that ending. I can't wait to see what is to come for Lach, Cate and the rest of the gang. I have so many questions that I can't wait to get answers to. Do yourselves a favour and come join me in cliffhanger heaven.

“You can question my authority. You can question my decisions. You can even question our future, but you cannot question that. I love you.”

Swoon 🫠. The second book in this series is just as amazing as the first and contains so many incredible, highlightable moments! It picks up right where Filthy Rich Fae ended and continues with non-stop action, twists, revelations, and captivating moments that will have you entranced.

It was so hard to keep pace with the Entangled Insiders read-along 😂. Political machinations between the Fae courts and other paranormal factions play a larger role in Fallen Court, and the plot's suspense kept me turning pages, eager to find out what happens next. Not to mention, that ending was insane! Hello, emotional damage! I need book 3 like yesterday!

I definitely recommend checking out this series if you enjoy:
✨️Morally Grey Fae Prince
✨️He Falls First (and hard)
✨️Deadly Bargains
✨️Slow Burn
✨️Found Family
✨️Touch Her and 💀
✨️Secrets and Betrayal
✨️Dual POV

“I will always find my way back to you. Not even death will stop me."

I don't always say this, but this is one instance where the second book is as good if not better than the first, and I highly encourage anyone who has a thing for the fabulous world of the Fae to pick these books up and sink into the story.

When I think of fictional couples I love, there has to be conflict, there has to be heartfelt emotion, and there has to be chemistry; Lachlan and Cate have all of the above.

While the story is beyond what I had been expecting, I find myself wondering what's next, and I can't wait to find out.

Happy Pub Day to Geneva Lee - Fallen Court (Book 2 in the Filthy Rich Fae Series).

Dare I say, Book 2 in this series is better than book one?!?? Yes it is, sorry not sorry! For the record I LOVED book one, five stars!

This book was everything I needed and never realized it, with so many unexpected turns. And I absolutely adored it. In this book Lach has been marked for death but that won’t stop him from getting to Cate ❤️ some may have called it crazy knowing that one wrong turn and he would have been dead but the thought that he loved her that much and was willing to fight to have what’s his had me so drawn into this book. If you’re looking for a book with touch her and die vibes this book is the one for you!!

You are NOT READY for Cate and Lach's next adventure!!

The intrigue. The romance. The banter. The spiiiiiiiice.

Fallen Court picks up where Filthy Rich Fae ended. Lach is running from the Wild Hunt. Cate is in enemy territory. The New Orleans supe community is, begrudgingly, trying to help them both. And then the murders begin...

Geneva Lee is an evil genius. She'll rip your heart out with one hand and dry your tears with the other. I knew going into Fallen Court that there would be a cliffhanger, but I wasn't expecting the epic insanity that occurred before the end.

You DO need to grab book 1 first, so get ready to binge the series and thank me later! Now remind me...when do we get book 3????

Thank you, Netgalley and Entangled, for the opportunity to read this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

I had my theory where this story would lead, but as close as I was, I was still a ways away from where it was leading.

Fallen Court picks up right where it left off, with Cate being stolen by someone she thought was a friend. Lach is still on the run from The Hunt, Ciara is still running the Nether Court trial by fire method with Roark trailing behind.

Lach and Cate still have so much to learn about each other, and they're still on borrowed time. Loyalties are tested; there's betrayals, heartbreak, and a sprinkle of spice and good times.

The suspense of the cliffhanger definitely makes me want to read the third book ASAP.

I’m always so nervous for sequels, especially when I really love a book as much as I did the first one. But Geneva Lee didn’t have to worry about a sophomore slump because this book was flawless. It’s giving The Originals, and I’m here for it. Lots of touch here and die. Some very fun witchy moments. All the vampire drama. This book ate and left no crumbs. Can’t wait until the next!

LACHLAN EFFING GAGE. HOLY SMOKES.

I have been absolutely dying to get my hands on book two of FRF as soon as I finished book 1. Let’s say that Geneva Lee somehow packed even more into this book than book 1. Literally picking up where we left off with Cate and Lach, diving right back into all of the action. FRF Fallen court keeps us on the edge of our seats, with the possibility of anything happening at the drop of a dime.

Diving even further into who Lach and Cate are, we watch as they try to figure it all out. Hidden secrets, the ever present threat of death and a spell that could bring it all crashing down at any moment, and I absolutely could not put this down. I gasped, I cried, I shouted (I’m pretty sure people now that I am weird), and loved every second. The characters only got deeper, the betrayal heavier, and Lach has surpassed Julian (Filthy Rich Vampires) in so many more ways than one. The world building was so rich without taking over the story as tends to happen in book 2 of many series, and really helped the characters develop. I am so happy I got to read this, and now I am impatient patiently waiting for book 3.

Thank you Entangled for this early copy, it was greatly appreciated!

Thank you so much to Riki and everyone at Entangled/Amara for an eARC of this novel! All thoughts and opinions are my own.

3.5 stars rounded up ⭐️

First off, I’m gonna need Geneva to pay for my therapy after ANOTHER MASSIVE CLIFFHANGER. I waited a whole year just for the sequel to end like that?! I literally laid in bed after finishing the book and said “YOU’VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.” Miss Lee, be expecting a bill from my therapist.

Overall, I really enjoyed the book. It did start out a bit slow and that maybe from where it had been so long since I read book one. It took me a moment to remember all of the characters and put myself back in that world. The other issue with the beginning of the book was there was a lot of characters introduced and very quickly. It was definitely hard to keep everyone straight and I had to keep referencing back to the first novel.

I also didn’t like how Lach and Cate were seemingly fighting every other chapter. There were times I had to go back and try to figure out why they were fighting this time. Cate almost assumed Lach was angry with her or trying to push her away and Lach thought the same. This installment was heavy on the miscommunication trope to some degree (sometimes they were just mad at each other to be mad it seems like). It made the book drag on a lot longer than it needed to be.

I do feel like the character development could have used a bit more detail instead of the constant bickering of Lach and Cate. For example, Channing and how he was handling being in the Gage family now after basically betraying his sister. It was mentioned several times that a conversation would need to be had between Channing and Cate but nothing ever came out of it. Another would be Shaw. I can understand why he was kept as a background character but I would have loved to see more development prior to the end of the book. I feel like it would have made what he did more profound.

Same with Ciara and Roark. It was said throughout the book that they acted like something was going on between them but never really gave examples. And then all of a sudden at the end, Lach says Roark and Ciara all but confirmed what he had long suspected. If mates are so rare, why are there two right in front of the Gage family? I would have loved to see more of Ciara and Roark’s interactions to make their possible mate hood more believable.

I did enjoy how Lee brought everything full circle with Cate’s ring and the meaning behind it. I hope we get more Willow in the next book and she gets a chance to explain why she did what she did. We know now that Cate is at least part fae but what else is she? Is she the Terra Court lost princess or is she the witch’s lost princess or something else entirely? Also the wings??? I don’t remember Lach having wings in the Otherworld. That has me questioning things!

Overall I did enjoy the book and cannot wait until the next one. While it felt like it dragged on at times and felt like the character development could have used some extra work, the book kept me engaged and wanting more. I need book three asap. I have to know what happens. There are still so many unanswered questions.
