Fran Landesman is a lyricist, and that fact alone drives her poetry. They are technically simple with uncomplicated themes and rhymes. Readers will not have trouble absorbing the meaning or catching the rhythm. I do not believe that more advanced poetry readers will find the collection stimulating, but it will be enjoyable for fans of her work as well as people just dipping their toes into reading poetry.
