"Wendy Darling has transformed into a captivating young woman whose life is a blend of elegance and adventure. The contrast between her glamorous social life and the thrilling escapades of her past in Neverland with Peter Pan is beautifully depicted.
The introduction of a mysterious stranger adds an intriguing twist to the narrative. His familiar yet elusive presence evokes memories of Peter, pulling Wendy back into the enchanting world she once knew. The tension between the allure of her past and the promise of a new future creates a compelling dynamic that keeps readers engaged.
As Wendy embarks on a new journey filled with danger and discovery, her quest to reclaim her courage and wonder resonates deeply. The emotional pull of her memories versus her evolving feelings for the handsome stranger adds layers to her character.
This summary captures the essence of a story that is both nostalgic and fresh, making it a must-read for anyone who cherishes tales of adventure, love, and self-discovery. Highly recommended!"

What happens years after Wendy leaves Neverland and is all grown up? Well in this YA Fantasy, we find out. Wendy meets a Mr. Liam Blackwell at a masquerade ball. The chemistry is instantly there but when he starts saying things that only someone has been to neverland would say she becomes curious. When he leaves she follows him and they end up in Neverland. But Neverland seems different than before. Something is not right. Things have become dark. I really liked this story overall. The first half is very interesting and mysterious. The writing flows nicely. We get a great feel of Neverland and how it looks and the creatures. I personally didn’t love how dark it became with the dark fairies and shadow stuff but it was well done. The reason for it all was a bit of a let down but still ok. I did really like Liam and Wendy. And of course we get to see Peter Pan and Captain Hook again. I liked the happy ending! Overall a good story!

At the end of J. M. Barrie’s Peter Pan, Wendy decides to return home from Neverland and grow up. In Wendy’s Ever After, Wendy is regretting that choice. She misses the adventure and excitement, and she misses Peter.

But when Wendy returns to the magical land, she can’t help but see things through older eyes. Her perspective has changed, and that experience is what will resonate with YA readers. Like Wendy, young adults often look back on their youth with fondness, but are being pushed toward adulthood at what seems like a fast pace. Some may even be racing toward it. And in Wendy, you see it all.

Author Julie Wright has done a great job building on source material while making Wendy’s Ever After entirely her own. Her world building is superb, and Wendy and her “love interest” are well developed. Both experience growth, and some of the best bits are when they spar with each other.

Wendy’s Ever After is a strong read that should appeal to fans of the classic story as well as the Disney and musical adaptations.

This was a fun story of what happens to Wendy after she leaves Neverland. Following Wendy’s story as she enters the season in English society, and wonders if she ever really got over Peter Pan. This was an enchanting tale that made me want to keep reading. I really enjoyed getting some insight into Hook and his life. The descriptions of the setting really took me back to Neverland.

I requested this book because I love all versions of Peter Pan's story that I've had the privilege of watching through the years. Most notable of these are the Disney cartoon and the live action movie where we all fell in love with Jeremy Sumpter. So when I saw this as I was browsing through Net Galley, it was an immediate request for me.

This was a lovely continuation to Wendy's story and a very unique take of how her life after coming back to London is tied back to Neverland. There are so many things I love about this story but one thing that will always make any book worth a read for me is how it's written. If there's a way I can describe this that current fans of Peter Pan would probably relate to, the story is narrated exactly how Wendy tells it in the live action movie. Fun, magical, exciting, and full of adventure. Exactly what you would expect from a fairytale.

I enjoyed meeting new characters and seeing more of Wendy's life outside of the original story. It answers all the questions we have about what happens next and wraps it all nicely with a beautiful conclusion to all its character's stories, even the villains we've grown to understand as we got older. Very aptly named as Wendy's Ever After.

One of the best coming of age stories I've read this year.

It's been a while since Wendy flew the skies of Neverland with Peter at her side. She longs to return again
or to Peter to come for her as he promised. But instead of that, now as a beautiful grown woman, she passes her days between balls and social events.
One night she meets a mysterious man who catches her attention inmediately. There is also an element of familiarity that drawn her to him. Are maybe his mischivous eyes? Or the way his words touch every one of Wendy's fibres? And why him reminds her of Peter? Before she realizes what is happening Wendy find herself back in Neverland. At least what she wants most! Or have growth and time change her? She Will have to must the courage to battle again old enemies and forge new frienships while she is torn between stay with the boy who she has been waiting for years or choose the man who has her heart in his hands.
If you have ever wonder about what happened to Wendy after Peter left her in London this is the book for you! I have enjoyed reading this ubnque and entertaining story.
Julie has done a great work here. Can't wait to read more about her!

This novel is the story of what happens to Wendy after the events of J.M. Barrie’s Peter Pan. Five years after her trip to Neverland with Peter, Wendy is a lovely young woman struggling with societal expectations and her longing for adventure. When she meets a mysterious stranger with ties to her past, she is drawn back to a Neverland that is different from what she remembers.

This is a lively, fun story. The plot moves quickly, making this a fast read. The setting is nostalgic with some interesting new elements and characters. It is an enjoyable reading experience, especially if you love action and adventure. This is definitely a more plot-driven novel. I personally would have loved to see more depth of character. There are moments where the reader catches a glimpse of complexity, but they just didn’t go far enough for me.

If you love an action-packed tale and want to return to Neverland with a slightly more mature Wendy, definitely give this a try.

Wendy's Ever After by Julie Wright is such a good story. I loved every single second of it. I totally recommend everyone to read this book as fast as they can because it's really good and the characters are fantastic.

I so enjoyed this new novel continuing Wendy Moira Angela Darling's story! Wright made her character so likable as a grown young woman struggling to navigate London society and the marriage market. Enter Liam, a handsome stranger who engages her like no other suitor has and could it be possible that he has been to Neverland too?
I promise not spoil anything but every reader will enjoy this jaunt back to Neverland and find out what Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, Captain Hook, and Smee have been up to since Wendy last went to Neverland. The reader will also meet some new characters. I really loved how each chapter began with a quote from the original tale by J.M. Barrie and a picture of the Jolly Roger.
Wendy and Liam's interactions are adorable and realistic. The kisses are heartwarming too. I was so satisfied with the ending!

If you love the Peter Pan story and have always wondered what happened to certain characters after the original Peter Pan story ended then Wendy's Ever After is definitely the book for you. I'm a big lover of the original Peter Pan story and Captain Hook is my favourite Villain ever so any bit of Peter Pan inspired/retelling/reimagining I can get my hands on I'm there. Now I have to be honest and say Wendy has always be my least favourite character from the story however, the Wendy that Julie Wright wrote was fantastic. She was everything I've ever wanted the original Wendy to be. I loved the fact we got to see Wendy grown-up and how integral Peter, the lost boys, Neverland and even Captain Hook were to Wendy even after so many years. You as the reader truly got to see the importance of these individuals to Wendy's story arc. It's clear to see that many things have happened to Wendy since Neverland and how these things have changed Wendy in ways she probably didn't even expect. However, I loved how Julie showed two sides to Wendy's character the side that wanted to grow-up and has grown-up but still isn't ready for certain adult life events such as marriage and then the side that is still very much trying to hold on to the young girl who viewed the world and Neverland through a magical and whimsical lens. Both sides are so important to the character arc of Wendy throughout this book. It was such a joy to be back with the original characters however, it was so good to meet the new characters that Julie created especially the one and only Liam Blackwell. His character arc was so well developed by Julie and he quickly became a favourite character of mine who truly was the best of both worlds. I'm not going to say anymore on that subject as we don't do spoilers here. I can honestly say after reading Wendy's Ever After Julie truly has made me like Wendy as a character and in my eyes that is such an achievement!!! Overall, Wendy's Ever After is a nostalgic, feel-good, magical reimagining with a pinch of romance and pixie dust!

It takes place after Wendy has been to Neverland. From the beginning I really liked this book. I also really liked the characters. The ennemies to lovers was clearly present. I really liked the writing style and it reads very easily.

Thanks to Julie Wright for this beautiful story!

My actual rating of this book is 3,5 stars.

When I saw this book, I was so thrilled to read it, because Peter Pan, especially the Disney movie version, was my childhood obsession, and I am truly glad to come back with more mature Wendy (sometimes).

The beginning had me on the hook, the eighteen year old Wendy, wanting to please her mother by going to a masquerade ball with a promise to find a suitor. And she found Liam. They were made for each other from the first moment they locked eyes, their conversations and how they were around each other was what made me want to read more of it, to find if they can have their happy ever after.

Unfortunately, this sweet picture of them together of mine was crumbled many times. And only thanks to their fights. And there were a lot. All were about the same topic. Most of them could have been prevented, if she would have just listen to him (I hate the miscommunication trope, I trully do). At many points, she was like, I believe him, and just few lines below she did not trust him at all. My head was hurting from all her bickering and picking fights, and it reminded me of America in the book The Elite with how quickly she changed her opinions on him.

But I have to say I liked the dark Neverland, and I would have liked it better, if the threat was more present, all they did was just talk about it. But when it came to facing it, it was over so quickly a told myself - that´s it, just like that? In my opinion, it would have been much pressing, if they actually faced a little of the first threat (iykyk) before, just so we can fear it more, just like the characters.

Hook. That´s another story. He´s the villian, and for his big role, I would have prefer, if the story enlightened me in more details how he became the way he was, not just say it. I crave the backstory. And I also crave Liam´s POV, I think it would make the story more dimensional.

What I really liked, was the pacing. I think the book takes place over a span of four days? Five? And I think the author really made it work. Just like with the resolution or Peter´s and Wendy´s relationship, where both realised, that what they want was just an illusion of the past and what the author had in cards for Wendy´s future.

Overall, it was a really nice read.

While I was reading this story, I kept feeling like I had read something similar to it before. (Not the Peter Pan story that we all knew and loved from Disney.) I vaguely remember reading a book or possibly a series several years ago where Peter Pan wasn't necessarily the good guy that Disney made him out to be. This story definitely leaned in that direction. It was a well-done story, and I always love fairy tale retellings.

A well-written, entertaining sequel/retelling of the end of Peter Pan. I loved the characters and the settings. But that was pretty much it.
This book wanted to be many things, but I'm afraid it ended up being none of them.
First of all, it's very short for a fantasy. Which I don't mind that much. Except for the fact that nothing important happens? Wendy and Liam don't get to know each other that well, but they are suddenly in love?
Secondly, the ”twist” is not that big of a deal. I mean, with all the tension that was built during the book, when the truth was revealed, it felt flat. I was honestly disappointed by it. I got to the end and was like: ”Wait, this is it??” I would have loved an epilogue with them back on the mainland
What I liked most were the vibes. And the writing style.
If you like a very fast-paced fantasy, what more is to say, this book is for you! I think it deserves to be read at least to see Wendy getting her ever after.

A well written retelling of Wendy’s story. You get transported back to the wonders of Neverland. But there is something wrong.

I really liked this book. It was a easy light hearted read, but it had a very gripping story line. I also thought that the writing style was very good. The characters had depth and had great personalities. Also I thought it was interesting how the characters weren’t inherently bad or good. The lines blurred and that made it interesting. The romance was very good even though I often don’t like romances that develop so quickly. The one thing I have to say is that it felt just a bit rushed. But it wasn’t very disturbing to the story. Just wished there was more.

So in conclusion I really thought it was a enjoyable read. With interesting characters and plot line. I would definitely recommend for people that like light fantasy with good characters.

I'm still soaring after reading this one! It is a beautiful story with wonderful themes! Perfect for YA readers and older readers! I can't wait for my teenagers to read it, and all of my friends! While reading it I just kept thinking that my teenagers and all of their friends would adore this one! I need to get a physical copy for my bookshelves and that can be leant out to all of our friends!

I loved watching Wendy try to discover her place in life and society. She's considered a debutante and her mom is actively trying to find her a suitor to marry her. Wendy is wistfully looking back at Neverland and Peter in her heart and mind. I loved the theme of growth and change, and learning to continue on in life that was throughout the book.

Whether you've read Peter Pan or not, or watched any movies of it, you'll be able to enjoy this sweet and beautiful story.

I loved at the beginning of every chapter, there was a quote from the book, Peter Pan, that fits with the chapter. They were quite delightful!

We see some familiar characters from Peter Pan and get to meet a few new ones.

Some favorite moments from the book for me:

The masquerade ball *Happy, Happy Sigh!!!*
Hook and his new cape
Figuring out how to fly again
The maze and telling truths *Oh my heart, yes I had tears in some moments*
That kiss!!! *Oh My!!!*
Peter Pan and Tinkerbell
Wendy and her strength
The new friend Liam
The Lost Boys
The mystery
The mermaid
Truths and Heartaches
Being back in Neverland!!!

There's soooo much more in this book. And I was trying to be very vague in what I shared because I want you to experience it all and enjoy the journey. Just like the journey of life. It's messy and ugly and hard and not what we expect at moments, but it's lovely and beautiful and worth the journey!

Content: Clean. Some very mild moments of peril but nothing graphic.

I received a copy from the publisher, Shadow Mountain Publishing, via NetGalley. All thoughts and opinions in the review are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

Rating: 4 stars!

A cute, reverse story based on Wendy and her adventure to Neverland with PeterPan. What if everything Wendy thought she knew about Neverland wasnt true? What if Pirates weren't as bad as she thought? It's wholesome, it's fun, it's a super quick read!

Thank you NetGalley and Shadow Mountain Publishing for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

What a fun book! How many times have we wondered what happened to Wendy and her brothers. There have been some movies over the years, but this is a fun imagining.

Wendy does not want to grow up, she does not want to marry and become a mother. She wants more. She keeps waiting for Peter to come back, but he doesn't.

And then, one magic night at a ball, she meets someone. He is mysterious and keeps making statements that remind her of Neverland. As he leaves the ball unexpectedly, she follows him, and he leads her to Neverland. But Neverland is not as it should be, nor is this man.

Can she find out what has happened, can she save Peter, and what to do with this man! So fun! I loved it.

Thank you to netgalley for an ARC.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Admittedly I am not a huge fan of the original Peter Pan, at least the Disney movie. (Gasp! I know, I haven't actually read the original book). But I have loved all the adaptations of the original that I have read. I loved experiencing Neverland through Wendy's eyes both youthful and matured. I loved the way the book makes you wonder who the real villain is in this story. The complexity of the relationships between the characters. The draw between wanting to stay young and growing up, what is the true adventure? I loved it all. I would very much recommend this to anyone and everyone who loves a great adventure.
