Amberly Reiner, behavior analyst for the FBI finds herself drawn into a dangerous situation that threatens national security when she is given the assignment to find the links between the victims of a serial killer’. She is once again teamed up with Luke Steele, military aid to the president. Together they must follow the clues to try to prevent an assassination and a possible attack on US soil.
Victim #8 is the second book in the Luke Steele series. While it starts a little slow it ends with a bang! The last half of the book is action packed and suspenseful. I loved it! This is a book I would definitely recommend reading!

A race against time to stop a threat and save lives
An intense story of high power stakes and threats that must be addressed. Luke Steele, a military aide to the president, finds himself drawn into an investigation of the loss of a journalist who might have had important info for the president. Soon he is paired with Amberlyn Reiner of the FBI and they begin tracking leads, digging up hidden information, and even finding clues in very unexpected places. As their mission continues, they find themselves not only in danger but the only ones able to stop a deadly plan. A great read. Thanks to the publisher and Netgalley for the copy. This is my review and all thoughts are my own.

This is the second book in the Luke Steele series. I read this book in less than twenty-four hours it was intense, and action-packed.
When a series of murders come to the attention of the White House and the FBI Amberlyn Reiner is in the thick of it trying to find a
link between the murder victims. Luke Steele gets tied up in the same investigation as Amberlyn, and they find themselves heading to
Istanbul to try to find some answers. My heart was racing as Luke and Amberlyn were being chased through the streets of Istanbul.
Traci Abramson continues to keep me on the edge of my seat.

Another book down! Traci Hunter Abramson is an amazing author! Definitely one of my favorites. You can tell how much research and love she pours into her books. Victim #8 is the sequel to Hometown Vendetta. I really enjoyed the relatable characters and the open and honest portrayal of mental health. I'm definitely hoping for another sequel to this series. Thanks again for the early read #NetGalley !

This book started a little slow. But as I continued reading I really started to enjoy it. Things also started off slow with Amberlyn and Luke. In the last book they had to pretend to be together and this book throws them together again. With Flying bullets, knife fights and a possible attack on the USA things are never dull.
