I loved this!!! As someone who works at a re
gional theatre and has asked some of the same questions and felt the same way Rosie has, I really REALLY related to her! I'm still struggling with adjusting to the new dreams, but it was so amazing to read Rosie's story and it felt so inspiring for me! I also loved the whole cast of quirky characters and how they helped Rosie realize her new dreams. I listened to the audio version of this and loved the narrator! Thank you sooooooo much to NetGalley and to the publisher for my audio ARC!!

This was a sweet, clean, and heartwarming story of starting over, yet never giving up on your dreams. Nothing is going quite right for Rosie, and after a job application binge, she ends up in Wisconsin. The characters are fun and charming, and her growth throughout the story was nice to see. The pacing was a bit off in parts, and her relationships with her family and high school friends seemed like after thoughts. Overall, a cute, easy, and uplifting read.

This book was just fun, uplifting and all around wholesome perfection. Rosie had big dreams but none of them have come to fruition. All of her friends seem to have it together and she's just struggling, but letting everyone believe she's doing okay.
When an unforeseen opportunity comes her way, Rosie isn't expecting much, but she gets more than she bargains for and maybe it's everything she needs...
I loved this book. It was such a heartwarming, sweet story that was enjoyable all the way through. Put this on your TBR list, you'll be glad you did!

Rosie is getting close to 30 and life has definitely not been what she was hoping it would be. An aspiring actress who I'd say her biggest acting role she's done lately is with her family and friends, and so she's desperate for something. Enter a cast of fantastic characters who help Rosie find herself and show her a new outlook on life.
I loved the banter and Rosie's quick wit and since this one I listened to, the narrator absolutely killed the reading. But more than banter I loved the depth of the story too. It had a level of thought to it that made you think about a little bit more, about life and your dreams and love (welcome back quarter-life crisis!). There were some exasperated sighs at some of the characters actions, but they're still all very lovable.
While I personally wished for a slightly different ending, I still really enjoyed this one!

This book brought me to tears in the end despite taking some time to get into at the beginning. It's a sweet romance feel good story with some cathartic personal growth (which is what makes this book worth reading, IMO). I listened to the audio with narration by Jorjeana Marie. Her voice has a lisp or similar impediment and that took some getting used to. In addition, I just didn't buy these wonderful friends at the start of the book who only want what's best for Rosie (despite Rosie ghosting them for seven years- what about social media?). I don't think I was really invested in the story until sometime after chapter 14. That said, this is a wonderful, simple, sweet romance. My only gripes are 1. that everyone around Rosie is so sincerely nice (a couple folks are gruff on the surface but nice deep down) which hasn't been my life experience for sure and 2. that there was some lewd joking about wishing a non-married couple had had sex when they said they had not and wishing to see a very good looking man full on naked- I just didn't think it was necessary for the story and did think it was inappropriate in a "Christian" book. Both of these things are in the same scene which could have been easily cut or rewritten. for providing an audio arc in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

My Quick Takes:
- 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Language 🤐 none
- Spice ❤️🔥 kisses only
- Content 🤔 parental abandonment
For anyone who is chasing after a seemingly unattainable dream, or has grieved a dream they had to let go, this book is for you. Rosie’s struggles and insecurities and half truths are all so relatable. I could see myself in pieces of her struggle.
This is a closed-door romance but leans a bit more toward women’s fiction. The plot focuses more on the struggles and character development of the female main character with the romantic interest being secondary. There was plenty of witty banter and flirty, which I loved. I usually don’t lean toward women fiction but Rosie was so relatable that I was quickly pulled into her sphere.
If you’re an audiobook reader, the audio is a MUST! I think I found a new favorite narrator, Jorjeana Marie’s narration made the story come to life.

While I really enjoyed Courtney Walsh's last book, "Everything's Coming Up Rosie" fell a little flat for me. It was cheesy, predictable, but a cute squeaky-clean book--almost felt more like YA.

This was a fun one. I had to laugh at several awkward situations that Rosie got herself into. She was quirky and fun- the type of person I would love to hang out with.
I loved getting to know all the residents of the retirement community- they each added so much to the story. My only complaint is the name Booker (ugh I hated it- made me think they were saying booger)
I enjoyed the plot and loved that it was a romantic story but it was also wholesome. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
I read this book and then got to listened to it on audio and the narrator did a fantastic job. It was well done and easy to listen to.

Thank you NetGalley for the ALC of this book.
I have read many books by Courtney Walsh and typically really enjoy them. Unfortunately, I struggled to get into this audio version of the book - I found the narrator's voice absolutely awful to listen to. Her voice was what can only be described as moist, and her alternate voices for other characters were far too shrill. At times it felt like I was listening to a children's or young adults book, as the voice just didn't feel "adult romance novel" to me. It honestly made me dread tuning back into this book - and usually I love audiobooks.
I was intrigued by the characters and storyline, so I think I will give this another try via my Kindle, as I do think it had potential!

Everything’s Coming Up Rosie is a charming, heartfelt read about what happens when the dream you’ve been chasing starts to feel just out of reach. Rosie loses her job and apartment in the same day (relatable, anyone?), and after a tough visit home, she’s forced to face the reality that all her friends seem to have “figured it out” while she’s still hustling for her big break.
When a job offer comes to direct a Cinderella production at a “regional theatre,” she takes it—only to discover it’s in a retirement community with a cast of enthusiastic but untrained seniors. What unfolds is a funny, sweet, and surprisingly emotional journey about redefining success, finding joy in unexpected places, and the power of community.
I really appreciated how this book explored the shame and isolation that can come with feeling left behind—and how refreshing it is when characters actually talk about it. Rosie’s tenacity is inspiring, and the supporting cast is truly delightful.
Also, the audiobook narration was spot-on and brought the story to life in such a warm way.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to listen early in exchange for my honest review!

I loved this! It started out a little slow for me but in the end, I really enjoyed where the story went. Rosie is a flawed character. She makes some poor decisions in my mind in not being honest but that’s what made her real to me. Her personal growth throughout the story was so well done and I loved the message of not giving up on your dream but also being willing to shift when needed.
The romance was so sweet! I loved Booker and how he pursued Rosie even with the unknowns of where they would find themselves at the end of the summer. I also loved that it was paced just right with a budding friendship that turns to more as they spend more time together. There were such tender moments between them and some sweet kisses. He supported her but also made her do some hard thinking as well.
Arthur and Birdie were great side characters and just the whole community as they came together to put on the show and ultimately support Rosie. Rosie’s friends at home were also a great reminder that true friends don’t care if you’re doing big and exciting things, they just care about you.
The narrator did a great job with the voicing of all the characters. I highly recommend enjoying this with your ears.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the audiobook copy. The thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.
This book publishes on June 10th and I definitely recommend picking it up.

📖 Bookish Moments:
This was the most wholesome book ever! I was not expecting to love it this much! Rosie, our FMC, is definitely going through it—questioning her life, career, goals, and basically everything except that she needs a job and a place to live ASAP. She’s self-critical and totally convinced that all her friends have it figured out. (Rosie, bestie… we’re all just winging it out here!)
Her new role directing Cinderella at a senior living community’s theater was unexpectedly adorable, and I loved every quirky, lovable character we met along the way. The romance with Booker? Cutie alert! I was very happy with how it all wrapped up—though the author had me sweating for a second.

I can’t believe I was ever hesitant to read this book because it turned out to be one of my absolute favorite stories! Everything, from the characters to the plot, was absolutely spot-on! I’m so glad I overlooked my initial hesitations and tried out this book, because otherwise I would have missed out on one amazing story. Don’t be like me—go read this book as soon as it’s available!
Rosie’s sense of humor had me laughing out loud more than once 🤭 She was inherently awkward and, yet, so much fun—Rosie definitely had a knack for getting into the most comical of situations. I’d definitely want to be her friend in real life if she existed outside of her book! Oh, and I can’t forget her friends—I’d love to be a part of their friend group too!
Mmm, Booker was an absolute dreamboat and the perfect counterpart to Rosie! I love the way he went along with her wackiness during their first meeting—he was such a sweetheart. Booker was so good for Rosie in numerous ways—especially in helping her figure out her life. I enjoyed all of their many conversations and amusing incidents (the golf cart and mud debacle, the chipmunk in the house, date setup by Bertie, etc.).
Every single character in this book worked to make this such an amazing book! I didn’t dislike a single one of them, as they were all so highly entertaining and lovable—even when they tried to be grouchy. The elderly residents at Sunset Hills were definitely some of my favorites (Arthur, I’m looking at you) 😆 Watching them audition for the show was absolutely hilarious! I love that the other young people at Sunset Hills quickly befriended Rosie and welcomed her into their circle—they were exactly what she needed, and she was exactly what they needed ♥️
Okay, this narrator was PHENOMENAL!! There was something about her voice that truly brought this book to life. The southern accents (Connie and Daisy) were spot-on and highly entertaining to listen to. I highly recommend everyone listen to this audiobook!

I received a complimentary alc from NetGalley and Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Audio. All opinions listed are purely my own.

The perfect easy, clean summer read! If Courtney writes it, I will read it. I fell in love with Rosie and everyone at the retirement community. Booker ... swoon eyes. Rosie is an aspiring actress whose career is not going as planned. She is embarrassed to share with her three best friends how life is really going. As fate would have it, she ended up as the creative director in an unlikely place ... but that place changes her life for the better. While her life was changing and she was growing, she was helping others realize their potential. So many fun characters in this book. I would love to read Birdie and Arthur's story and Dillian"s story.
No spoilers ... but I can see how the ending might frustrate people, but I personally loved it. It felt right, but I wish I had more.
Thanks to Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Audio and NetGalley for the the advanced copy of the audiobook.
I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ A sweet, quirky, and heartwarming read
Everything Coming Up Rosie by Courtney Walsh was such a joy! While I didn’t love it quite as much as The Summer of Yes, it still delivered all the feel-good vibes I was hoping for. I actually listen to this one on audio and LOVED the narration!
The standout for me was definitely the setting—a retirement community filled with a cast of zany, lovable characters who made every chapter fun and memorable. It was such a unique backdrop, and I found myself laughing and smiling so often!
The relationship between Booker and Rosie felt real and relatable, which I really appreciated. There was something about the story that didn’t quite hit the same emotional high as Walsh’s previous book, but I can’t quite put my finger on it. Still, it was charming, heartwarming, and full of good-hearted fun.
If you’re looking for a feel-good romance with a lot of personality, definitely give this one a try!
Thanks netgalley for giving me the chance to listen to the audiobook early!

3.5 rounded up
This was a slow start, but a cute, cozy, clean romance once it finally got going. I wish we spent more time with Arthur, the grumpy retired theatre professor and director, and Rosie, the main character who takes a job directing a show at a retirement community. I loved watching Rosie's confidence grow in both directing and living a more open and truthful life. Her moments with Arthur and the way they were helping each other heal from past experiences were lovely. As a theatre person, I would have loved this relationship to be more specific in detail and give us a bit more about the creation of the musical. I feel like the theatre aspect was toned down so that non-theatre people would not be put off from the book, but since acting and directing were the major focus of the book, it could have used some more specific examples.
The romance almost seems like a minor subplot, or maybe I was just paying more attention to the other aspects. Booker is loved by everyone, and even though Rosie tries to avoid the romance, knowing she is only there for the summer, they can't help themselves. Booker and his trust and support for Rosie are definitely reasons that Rosie can make so much growth throughout the book. Very positive relationship moments are displayed throughout.
A few times, I struggled with some of the comments that were made by these twenty-something individuals that referenced things that were definitely not popular culture for their age group. It might have helped them fit in with those in the retirement community, but those references were often used when there were only twenty-somethings in the scene. As a 50ish-aged person, I related completely with those comments, but know that my students would have had no idea what I was talking about when making those references. (speaking from experience)
It has many characters opening up about their journeys and growing into a more confident or happier version of themselves, not just the main character. It stresses the importance of honesty with yourself and with others. There were many moments that felt like therapy breakthroughs, even though the characters were only talking with each other. It was great how their open conversations with each other really helped them to become better people. Such a feel-good, happy story.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an audio ARC.

Solid 3.5 stars! It is more a coming of age (in your late 20s) story than a romance. Very cute. The audio threw me off a bit as the narrator made the character seem younger to me. I kept forgetting she was supposed to be 29. I loved the old folks. I loved the passion she had for her dreams. I loved the ending! A great story about following your dreams and embracing where you are in every step.

Sometimes a book just comes to you at a time in your life when you really need it. I think the stars aligned for me on this one.
Rosie is an endearing and funny FMC with realistic daily life struggles. Booker is possibly the most believable book boyfriend I’ve encountered. I feel like I’d run into him at the mall. The minor characters and found family were so sweet. I just loved this story.
The narrator is PHENOMENAL. My new favorite. I could not believe how good she was while listening. I plan to look for her other works as well.
Thank you to NetGalley and publishers for the ALC in exchange for my honest review. I will post my review on my instagram in a couple of weeks and will update this feedback with the link once it’s posted.

3.5 cute story! I enjoyed listening to Rosie find herself. The narrator’s fit the roles well. Thank you for the ARC!

I would say this is a solid 3.5 stars. It’s a very quick, lighthearted read. Something safe to listen to in front of your family or coworkers. The main vibe I got out of this was the journey of self discovery into adulthood. The comedy is light. I would say it’s PG rated. The romance is very very mild. Main character is very quirky and clueless. The old folks are the stars of the show for sure.
I appreciated the narrator. She was very easy to listen to.
I feel like I could safely recommend this book to most people. This would be a good option for a book club with your coworkers.
