Thank you to the publisher and the author for this audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review!
I actually almost DNF-ed this book due to a few issues (mostly Rosie coming off like a high schooler rather than a 29-year-old adult, because I love dorky adults, but she fell short of that in immature), but with its shorter and quick, so I figured I'd stick it out. And although I cannot say that it had some huge turn around that made me adore the book, I am glad I finished.
First, this isn't really a romance. I marked it as such as there is romance in it, but it's far more about Rosie's journey of self acceptance and her dream than the romance between her and Booker. There's just enough of Booker around to let me throw the romance tag on.
I was honestly way more invested in the relationship between Rosie and the inhabitants, whether that be Arthur or Dylan or even miss Drama Queen whose name I cannot recall (Belinda?). They all interacted in such fun ways and helped each other grow. Also, as someone whose grandmother was in a care facility due to her age, I really appreciated seeing a book that gave care to those who are so often just ignored by society, especially when it was mentioned how much they truly can thrive when given care and something to love.
So while this book didn't absolutely hook me or anything, I did love the cast of 'old people' and the different theatre workers (even Rosie, who eventually grew on me), and just what this book set out to accomplish.

This was amazing! Courtney Walsh has such a knack for writing lovable heroines in her romance & women’s fiction novels.. Rosie is one every reader will love. Her journey was believable and made me feel like I was cheering on a friend. In a stressful world, I know I can always count on Courtney Walsh to deliver a much needed and fun escape without ever leaving my home.

Courtney Walsh never fails-I love her books! They always promise a good time, light hearted sweet clean romance and spunky characters. I particularly had fun with this book because it involved a quirky group of seniors living at a retirement community. Rosie the typical "Fear of failure female" must return home to face the fact she cannot land a job in the acting business, just when she is about to reveal she is out of money and a job, she lands a position at a retirement community to direct "Cinderella'
If you are looking for a fun pallet cleanser that is guaranteed to put a smile on your face then this should be next on your shelf!
Thank you Net Galley for allowing me to review this Advanced Copy of Everything's Coming Up Rosie. I was not paid for my honest original view.

I absolutely adored this book!
Courtney Walsh has become a must read author for me with her ability to create loveable characters, swoony romance, and well-crafted and engaging storylines.
I loved Rosie and her journey of self discovery, and the sweet romance between Booker and Rosie was delightfully swoony. However, what made this story truly shine was the cast of endearingly colorful side characters. The whole ensemble brought a smile to my face. This book was a joy to read from beginning to end.
I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook after reading this and it did not disappoint!
The narrator truly brought this story to life. Her delivery was emotive and engaging, her pacing was spot on, and I found myself able to get lost in the story while listening.
I highly recommend this book in either format!
*Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson Fiction for the ARC and to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson & Zondervan Fiction Audio for the ALC. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

Oh Courtney Walsh... you did it again and why am I even surprised??? What a wonderful, sweet story that I am so sad now that it is over!
Everything's Coming Up Rosie follows our star, Rosie (Ro to her friends). She is a struggling actor who left home to make it big in New York, but she's afraid to tell all her people back home just how hard this acting life is - especially when her group of friends all seem to have life together and are thriving! So, she applies to many jobs, so many and so quickly that she doesn't read the job descriptions very well. Suddenly she finds herself accepting a position to join the creative team for the production of Cinderella!...... However, it isn't at all what she expects. But, it quite possibly could be the best thing that ever happens to her.
This story is full of laughter, charm, and with just enough depth of emotions that it easily gets a 5 star rating! Courtney Walsh knows how to give us the people we need through her cast of characters. All of them are so lovable, so believable, and so relatable!
A big thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for this audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The narrator for this book was great and the story was amazing and I couldn't wait to see what happens

This is a sweet coming of age story of Rosie, who is really trying to navigate who she is and who she wants to be. I felt a big old reading this, and Rosie felt quite young and she had such strong feelings about her older counterparts (even though I'm in my 30's). Rosie thinks she knows what she wants from life, but also is questioning how she has been approaching things. I enjoyed the setting, the overall plot, and the senior citizen characters. I found the narrator sounded very young, so perhaps that added to my perspective of the story coming across as young. I also found Rosie's inner monologue and what she said out loud to be a bit confusing, and she often thinks first and then says something, so I found myself confused as to whether she actually said something or if it was just her inner thoughts. It was cute story and if you enjoy a younger protagonist you may enjoy this! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.

Booker might just take the cake for the title "book boyfriend". I loved this book so much. The ending ?!?!?!? it gets all the stars! Courtney Walsh is ;perfect!

Rosie Waterman has always dreamed of becoming a successful actress. But life seems to continually have different plans for her. Out of work and desperately searching for a job, she is ecstatic when she finds out she’s been hired as the director of a regional theatre’s production of Cinderella. She doesn’t have much experience with directing, but she decides to give it a go. After all, she doesn’t have any other options at the moment, and the pay is good.
When she arrives in Door County, Wisconsin, she very quickly realizes that this job isn’t at all what she thought it was going to be. Instead, the “regional theatre” is in the middle of a retirement community and the actors are senior citizens who live there.
Not sure what to do next, Rosie refuses to tell her friends what she’s really doing, and is struggling to figure out the direction of her life.
There are a lot of challenges facing Rosie as she begins to work with the senior citizens, some of whom clearly don’t want her there. She has to learn how to step up and be the director that the community needs. As she learns to work with others and figure out how to lead this group of wannabe actors, Rosie finds herself softening and enjoying the process in a way she never thought possible.
Maybe- just maybe, this was what she needed all along.
I loved listening to the audiobook of this story. The narrator did such a great job with this one! This was my first book by Courtney Walsh but definitely won’t be the last.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book from NetGalley and am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book is a love letter to the theatre. I loved all the characters, the story, all the accurate details about the theatre world and I especially loved the ending. No spoilers, but Rosie made the right choice and I was so happy she did what felt right in her heart.
I relate so hard to Rosie Waterman. Her need to be perfect, to hide when she’s struggling, and the feeling that if she’s not doing exactly what she thought she was going to do, she’s failing. I feel that all on a daily basis and it was so cathartic to read about a character who has all the same feelings I do in the same industry I’m in!
The narrator Jorjeana Marie brought a beautiful lightheartedness to the character of Rosie, but she was also able to dig into the deeper more emotional moments of the book.
Professional theatre is pretty broken right now. It’s impossible to get cast if you haven’t already had a big role. Those Nationwide Casting Searches for the Dolly Musical and Heathers? Yeah, they cast Broadway Stars - all us little people? Nothing. There are SO MANY talented people just waiting to be discovered. Casting Directors, we are begging you to see us. Hear us. Take a chance on us. The theatre world is HARD, but it’s especially crappy right now and Courtney Walsh’s reminder to Dream Big Dreams, but also don’t be afraid to let them shift and evolve is something everyone (especially us theatre people) need to hear right now. Thank you, Courtney Walsh, for the reminder that sometimes our paths aren’t straight lines.
If you love theatre, you’ll love this book!

This was a cute listen! Most of what I appreciated was how flawed and real Rosie seemed. I liked hearing her doubts and watching her overcome the obstacles of the story. I didn’t love the tidy and quick wrap up at the end, but it still was a really solid read!
Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for this ARC!

After a string of setbacks, Rosie’s dream of becoming an actress feels out of reach. Jobless and homeless, she jumps at a directing opportunity outside New York—only to discover the theater is part of a retirement community, and her actors are seniors with zero experience.
Still carrying trauma from her past, Rosie keeps her emotions bottled up, always pretending she’s fine. This is a story of healing, self-discovery, and realizing it’s never too late to follow your dreams.
I especially enjoyed the romantic subplot—Rosie and Booker had great chemistry, and while I wished their relationship had been explored more, the epilogue was touching. It was a cute, fun read, even if it didn’t fully resonate with me. I’m still interested in reading more from this author.
Thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for this ARC in exchange for my honest review. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advance reader copy of Everything's Coming Up Rosie by Courtney Walsh in exchange for an honest review.
Everything's Coming Up Rosie is a charming, witty, and heart-filled romantic comedy that follows Rosie, a vibrant and determined woman whose life takes an unexpected turn when takes a new job without reading the job description. Once she arrives at the new job and it is something unexpected, she makes the most of the opportunity, while also meeting the eye-catching, adorable "Booker" who seems to think the same of her.
This book was cute, couldn't totally get into it, but the story was catching and I felt myself rooting for Rosie throughout.

Thank you, Netgalley and Thomas Nelson, and Zondervan Fiction Audio, for an Arc of this book in exchange for an honest review. This story was not what I was expecting in so many ways. I loved how Rosie developed and grew throughout this story. I loved that she built relationships between friends, her boyfriend, and the cast members of the play she is directing. I found Rosie's character so interesting. I found that her growth and development related to me so much as I read, which was so nice to feel connected to her character as she was figuring out her dream and how it might look different from what she expected. I also loved her relationship with Booker, he was there for her as she began to learn more about herself. Their relationship was so sweet, and I loved reading about it. I also loved her relationship with her friends and how they were all there for each other. I enjoyed the theatre portions of this story, and it was so interesting to read about. I genuinely loved this story and Courtney Walsh's writing in this book. I also loved the narrator of this book.

Anything that @courtneywalsh writes I’ll read! I love her writing style and I love that I can go into her stories knowing that there’s a HEA! I loved the character growth in this story and I loved the where Rosie works! 💛 watching her give her best efforts in this situation was so sweet and seeing her fall in love with her new work friends was amazing! 💛

Courtney Walsh serves up a cozy story of a struggling actress on the brink of giving up on her dreams when she lands a summer job as a creative director-in-residence. Little does she know, she has signed on to work in a retirement community of senior citizens. Nevertheless, Rosie gives it her all and finds herself, and a little romance, along the way.
Thank you, Courtney Walsh, Thomas Nelson, and NetGalley, for the opportunity to read an advanced copy of this audiobook! The sound quality was excellent. The narrator, Jorjeana Marie, did a great job bringing the characters to life and portraying Rosie in the innocent, gentle way she was written!

Oh this book was amazing! The story is all about a girl named Rosie, an aspiring actor. When she hits rock bottom, she is surprised with a job offer she doesn’t expect. I think what I loved about this book so much was that I could see the authors experience seeping through the book. And it made it all the more enjoyable!

Rosie is not thriving in New York as an actress. All her life, being an actress has been her dream, but sometimes life takes a turn. Somehow, Rosie ends up with a directing job for a theater in Wisconsin. But it isn't an ordinary theater and the people she works with are not who she would expect to work with. But unexpected places lead to unexpected relationships, and Rosie finds that diversions don't always mean giving up on dreams.
Thank you Courtney Walsh, Thomas Nelson, and Zondervan Fiction Audio for the audio ARC of this book in exchange for a thorough and honest review. All thoughts and opinions written here are mine and mine alone.
This was a very fun and light-hearted story that kept me engaged and interested the whole time. I really appreciated the ending as it did not follow the usual script of making a new life that fits in with what a character wants in the moment rather than the character sticking to their original dreams. Well done and honestly refreshing!
I also liked the narrator; her pacing was just right and she voiced Rosie well. I recommend this book to those looking for a sweet romance that has deeper characters and touches on the reality of life.

Sigh… loved this one! All the feels! I shouldn’t have been surprised because The Summer of Yes and Isadora Bentley are two of my favorites but I just loved this one! It sucked me in so fast and even made me think theatre sounded fun and I am not an actor nor do I have any desire to do theatre in any form- I took a class in jr high with my best friend but we quickly volunteered for the sound/lights and I was much happier there 😅
Rosie is an actor living in New York but life isn’t turning out quite the way she imagined and she ends up broke and homeless and takes a job out of desperation to direct a play at Sunset Hills but when she shows up to work she realizes it was not what she was expecting and she really should have read the job description before accepting. But maybe she is suppose to be there for a reason…
I loved the underlying message in this book so so much! It’s okay for dreams to change. A lot of the time they change for the better- because we change and isn’t it great because man when I was a teenager I made some pretty awful choices and I am so glad not everything in my life ended up the way I wanted it to back then.
I loved all the side characters and residents of sunset hills- Aurthur- he was such a gem- all gruff on the outside but man there were a few scenes with him that just made me cry.
Belinda- she was a feisty one and I equally loved her character and wanted to shake some sense into her.
Daisy- she was the perfect roommate for Rosie
Booker- in Rosie’s words he isn’t perfect but maybe he is perfect for her- seriously he was 👌🏼 I mean a physical therapist for a retirement community- can it get any cuter?
Rosie- she had some struggles and I just wanted her to be honest with her friends and family and she just kept digging herself deeper and then she meets Booker and he just cracks into her protective shell and all the residents of Sunset Hills just really do a number on her and help her to find joy in her life again.
I listened to the audiobook and the narrator did an amazing job bringing this story to life!
And to the Author I loved your note at the end- I’m sure glad you let your dreams change and that we all get to benefit from your beautiful stories ❤️

Everything’s Coming Up Rosie is a sweet, feel-good story about finding yourself when life takes an unexpected turn. I really enjoyed Rosie’s voice—funny, self-aware, and relatable. Her journey from struggling actress to unexpected director in a retirement community is both heartwarming and humorous.
The premise is charming, and the senior cast adds plenty of quirky charm. While the plot felt a bit predictable and slow in parts, the message about redefining success and embracing change was uplifting. A light, cozy read with a strong female lead and a satisfying arc.
