Thank you netgalley for the ALC of this book in exchange for a review.

This book was soo sweet. Like Happiness for Beginners type of sweet. I loved this book. Rosie figured out who she was and what she wanted she just needed to leave her life in NYC behind.

Rosie goes to a small town not knowing that she's just accepted a job directed a nursing home's Cinderella production.

And there she meets Bridger, he's handsome and the only other person her age there. Their relationship is super sweet.

Courtney has a way of writing the best stories that pull you in yet aren’t overly stressful or traumatic. I found Rosie to be so relatable and the audio was super easy to listen to! Also love that this was set in Wisconsin !

This was a sweet and heartwarming story! I loved the retirement community setting, quirky characters, and slow friends-to-more romance. Rosie has a sad (not overly tragic) backstory and struggles a lot with self-doubt, being a failure, and life not going in the direction she envisioned, something I think many readers will relate to.

I found the beginning of the story to be a bit slow and focused a little too much on Rosie’s insecure internal dialogue at times. At first, I wasn’t quite sure if I was going to like the direction of the story, but Courtney has a way of bringing the lighthearted, funny, make-you-smile moments with depth that I love, and this book was no exception. I will read anything she writes! This book definitely grew on me, and I ended up really enjoying it. I loved the author’s note at the end✨

I listened to the audiobook and enjoyed it! This is a great one to read/listen to this summer☀️

Content to consider: Parental abandonment (recounted), remembering death of a loved one, kissing and some mild innuendo, 1 H word, 1 Lord's name in vain, some sexual joking (not graphic)

Thank you, @thomasnelson and @netgalley, for a complimentary audiobook ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed are my own.

This is another beautiful story by Courtney Walsh. I'm honestly not sure if she could miss even if she tried. The characters in this book alone are fantastic, but then add in some major arcs involving the magic of second chances and an authentic study of "the human condition" and Courtney has created the perfect storm containing all the feels. Not to mention, I'm not a theatre person, but even I could appreciate this absolute love letter to that world. Now, as always, I'm left craving the next read Courtney will bring to life!

Rosie...This girl is adorably awkward and I was so here for it. She marches to the beat of her own drum and has crazy big dreams. I really appreciated the vibe that she doesn't feel grown-up and hasn't achieved all the things. That's literally my life. But then again, I guess it's everyone's life and that's the entire point. I loved seeing Rosie come into her own, learn, grow, finally embrace change, and refuse to give up. Her arc was such a wild, but super fun ride and I loved every moment.

Booker...What an absolutely precious man. At first, he was so aloof, but then out came all the golden retriever energy...but only for Rosie. It was such a treat experiencing them genuinely get to know one another and interact with all the characters around them. And I of course enjoyed seeing how Rosie inspired Booker to dream again most of all.

Things I loved:
❤️Rosie's friend group
❤️Connie (and that accent)
❤️golf cart stuck in the mud
❤️Daisy (what a super fun roommate!)
❤️Arthur (my fave character...what an absolutely adorable grump)
❤️late-night snack raids
❤️Bertie (especially her scheming)
❤️the non-date date
❤️Friday questions
❤️people and community (especially after that one truly challenging event)
❤️Belinda (even with all her difficult ways)
❤️all the theatre references
❤️all the emotions Courtney draws out from the reader...Her books are an entire experience. You get the romance you adore plus so much more!
❤️epilogue

⭐⭐⭐⭐.5 rounded up

I love the banter and characters that Courtney Walsh creates. I found the narrator's voice comforting and engaging but it did sound a little younger than what the main character is (almost 30) and I prefer a male voice for a male character but once I got used to her voice I enjoyed this sweet, clean, fun story. I found listening at 1.5 to be the most comfortable and recommend it.

Thanks to Netgalley for the chance to listen to this one. All opinions are my own.

I have read all of Courtney's Walsh's books and I think that Everything's Coming Up Rosie is my new favorite in her large collection. I can't count the number of times that I laughed out loud while listening to this audiobook. Courtney does a masterful job of weaving humor into all parts of her book, even the more emotionally heavy scenes. I love the journey that Rosie takes throughout this book and the way she grows from the beginning to the end. I will probably also read the physical copy of this book I loved it that much, but the audiobook experience with this book is exceptional. The narrator is wonderful. I give this audiobook a huge 5 stars!

I received a complimentary copy of this book. Opinions expressed in this review are completely my own.

As someone who appreciates the theatre, this book spoke to me! I loved Rosie’s passion, and determination to follow her dreams! And her realization that dreams can still be your dream, even if they shift a little bit. Booker is such a sweetheart, and their love story was so cute. His willingness to support Rosie in whatever she chose to do was a great representation of what, I think, all women want in a relationship! Courtney has such a talent for writing deep meaningful stories with heart and humor. Loved the book!

Everything's Coming Up Rosie is a heartwarming story that explores what happens when the dream you've chased for years no longer fits and how sometimes the path you never considered turns out to be exactly what you need.
Rosie, a struggling actress, is trying to cope with the fact that her life is not turning out how she thought it would. Then she gets the job offer of a lifetime, or so she thought. Once she starts the job that she accepted, she realizes it is not what she thought (a true lesson in learning to read the job description BEFORE accepting the job). The romance in this book is super sweet; it's closed-door, so there's nothing overly spicy. I wasn't a fan of the narrator, but that was just personal preference; in no way hindered the story.
Thank you to netgalley, Thomas Nelson and zondervan fiction audio for the ALC in exchange for an honest review.

The narrator was an excellent choice to tell this story. She fit the role of Rosie and brought the story to life.

Our main character feels like she is failing at life in her late 20s and wonders if she should change direction. Her friends seem to be thriving, but her career has taken a hit and she doesn't have any job prospects. That is until she is offered the job to direct a play in a retirement community.

This story has a variety of characters, young and old. Each one has their own story to tell and personal growth within the story. The author was able to give readers their story and show the reader character growth without it feeling like there were too many characters to care for or keep track of. I also enjoyed the banter between the main character and the love interest.

This is a clean romance, friends to lovers story. It is a heartwarming story that teaches us about the importance of friendship and chasing our dreams.

Highly recommend checking out this audiobook when it releases in June.

Thank you Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Audio and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this ALC.

I loved this!!! As someone who works at a re
gional theatre and has asked some of the same questions and felt the same way Rosie has, I really REALLY related to her! I'm still struggling with adjusting to the new dreams, but it was so amazing to read Rosie's story and it felt so inspiring for me! I also loved the whole cast of quirky characters and how they helped Rosie realize her new dreams. I listened to the audio version of this and loved the narrator! Thank you sooooooo much to NetGalley and to the publisher for my audio ARC!!

This was a sweet, clean, and heartwarming story of starting over, yet never giving up on your dreams. Nothing is going quite right for Rosie, and after a job application binge, she ends up in Wisconsin. The characters are fun and charming, and her growth throughout the story was nice to see. The pacing was a bit off in parts, and her relationships with her family and high school friends seemed like after thoughts. Overall, a cute, easy, and uplifting read.

This book was just fun, uplifting and all around wholesome perfection. Rosie had big dreams but none of them have come to fruition. All of her friends seem to have it together and she's just struggling, but letting everyone believe she's doing okay.

When an unforeseen opportunity comes her way, Rosie isn't expecting much, but she gets more than she bargains for and maybe it's everything she needs...

I loved this book. It was such a heartwarming, sweet story that was enjoyable all the way through. Put this on your TBR list, you'll be glad you did!

Rosie is getting close to 30 and life has definitely not been what she was hoping it would be. An aspiring actress who I'd say her biggest acting role she's done lately is with her family and friends, and so she's desperate for something. Enter a cast of fantastic characters who help Rosie find herself and show her a new outlook on life.

I loved the banter and Rosie's quick wit and since this one I listened to, the narrator absolutely killed the reading. But more than banter I loved the depth of the story too. It had a level of thought to it that made you think about a little bit more, about life and your dreams and love (welcome back quarter-life crisis!). There were some exasperated sighs at some of the characters actions, but they're still all very lovable.

While I personally wished for a slightly different ending, I still really enjoyed this one!

This book brought me to tears in the end despite taking some time to get into at the beginning. It's a sweet romance feel good story with some cathartic personal growth (which is what makes this book worth reading, IMO). I listened to the audio with narration by Jorjeana Marie. Her voice has a lisp or similar impediment and that took some getting used to. In addition, I just didn't buy these wonderful friends at the start of the book who only want what's best for Rosie (despite Rosie ghosting them for seven years- what about social media?). I don't think I was really invested in the story until sometime after chapter 14. That said, this is a wonderful, simple, sweet romance. My only gripes are 1. that everyone around Rosie is so sincerely nice (a couple folks are gruff on the surface but nice deep down) which hasn't been my life experience for sure and 2. that there was some lewd joking about wishing a non-married couple had had sex when they said they had not and wishing to see a very good looking man full on naked- I just didn't think it was necessary for the story and did think it was inappropriate in a "Christian" book. Both of these things are in the same scene which could have been easily cut or rewritten. for providing an audio arc in exchange for my honest review. All opinions are my own.

My Quick Takes:
- 5/5 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
- Language 🤐 none
- Spice ❤️‍🔥 kisses only
- Content 🤔 parental abandonment

For anyone who is chasing after a seemingly unattainable dream, or has grieved a dream they had to let go, this book is for you. Rosie’s struggles and insecurities and half truths are all so relatable. I could see myself in pieces of her struggle.

This is a closed-door romance but leans a bit more toward women’s fiction. The plot focuses more on the struggles and character development of the female main character with the romantic interest being secondary. There was plenty of witty banter and flirty, which I loved. I usually don’t lean toward women fiction but Rosie was so relatable that I was quickly pulled into her sphere.

If you’re an audiobook reader, the audio is a MUST! I think I found a new favorite narrator, Jorjeana Marie’s narration made the story come to life.

While I really enjoyed Courtney Walsh's last book, "Everything's Coming Up Rosie" fell a little flat for me. It was cheesy, predictable, but a cute squeaky-clean book--almost felt more like YA.

This was a fun one. I had to laugh at several awkward situations that Rosie got herself into. She was quirky and fun- the type of person I would love to hang out with.
I loved getting to know all the residents of the retirement community- they each added so much to the story. My only complaint is the name Booker (ugh I hated it- made me think they were saying booger)
I enjoyed the plot and loved that it was a romantic story but it was also wholesome. Can’t wait to read more from this author.
I read this book and then got to listened to it on audio and the narrator did a fantastic job. It was well done and easy to listen to.

Thank you NetGalley for the ALC of this book.

I have read many books by Courtney Walsh and typically really enjoy them. Unfortunately, I struggled to get into this audio version of the book - I found the narrator's voice absolutely awful to listen to. Her voice was what can only be described as moist, and her alternate voices for other characters were far too shrill. At times it felt like I was listening to a children's or young adults book, as the voice just didn't feel "adult romance novel" to me. It honestly made me dread tuning back into this book - and usually I love audiobooks.

I was intrigued by the characters and storyline, so I think I will give this another try via my Kindle, as I do think it had potential!

Everything’s Coming Up Rosie is a charming, heartfelt read about what happens when the dream you’ve been chasing starts to feel just out of reach. Rosie loses her job and apartment in the same day (relatable, anyone?), and after a tough visit home, she’s forced to face the reality that all her friends seem to have “figured it out” while she’s still hustling for her big break.

When a job offer comes to direct a Cinderella production at a “regional theatre,” she takes it—only to discover it’s in a retirement community with a cast of enthusiastic but untrained seniors. What unfolds is a funny, sweet, and surprisingly emotional journey about redefining success, finding joy in unexpected places, and the power of community.

I really appreciated how this book explored the shame and isolation that can come with feeling left behind—and how refreshing it is when characters actually talk about it. Rosie’s tenacity is inspiring, and the supporting cast is truly delightful.

Also, the audiobook narration was spot-on and brought the story to life in such a warm way.

Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to listen early in exchange for my honest review!

I loved this! It started out a little slow for me but in the end, I really enjoyed where the story went. Rosie is a flawed character. She makes some poor decisions in my mind in not being honest but that’s what made her real to me. Her personal growth throughout the story was so well done and I loved the message of not giving up on your dream but also being willing to shift when needed.

The romance was so sweet! I loved Booker and how he pursued Rosie even with the unknowns of where they would find themselves at the end of the summer. I also loved that it was paced just right with a budding friendship that turns to more as they spend more time together. There were such tender moments between them and some sweet kisses. He supported her but also made her do some hard thinking as well.

Arthur and Birdie were great side characters and just the whole community as they came together to put on the show and ultimately support Rosie. Rosie’s friends at home were also a great reminder that true friends don’t care if you’re doing big and exciting things, they just care about you.

The narrator did a great job with the voicing of all the characters. I highly recommend enjoying this with your ears.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the audiobook copy. The thoughts and opinions in this review are my own.

This book publishes on June 10th and I definitely recommend picking it up.
