Everything’s Coming Up Rosie is a heartfelt, charming delight from start to finish. Courtesy Walsh has crafted a wholesome, feel-good romance that’s as uplifting as it is emotionally resonant. I had the pleasure of listening to the audiobook edition, and it added an extra layer of warmth and immersion to an already enchanting story.

Rosie is a wonderfully relatable protagonist—endearing, imperfect, and deeply human. Her journey of self-discovery is filled with humor, heart, and the kind of quiet resilience that makes you want to cheer her on every step of the way. The romance is slow-building and incredibly sweet, grounded in friendship, mutual respect, and authentic emotional growth. It’s the kind of love story that feels real, not rushed—refreshingly wholesome while still tugging at all the right heartstrings.

The narrator does a fantastic job capturing the tone of the story—light and humorous in some moments, tender and heartfelt in others. It’s a well-produced audiobook that enhances the overall experience.

Overall, Everything’s Coming Up Rosie is a lovely, uplifting read that reminded me of the power of starting over, embracing who you truly are, and finding love in unexpected places. Perfect for fans of cozy, character-driven romances with depth and charm.

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance audiobook copy in exchange for an honest review.

“Sometimes I find fiction easier than reality. Easier to escape into someone else’s story, than to face everything on my own."

I think that this book did a lot of things well! It hits home pretty hard and I love that Rosie has big feelings too.

In the first third of the book, I was unsure this was going to be a good fit for me. I did not find Rosie to be very endearing and I found some of the interactions a little bit unreal — not like how people normally would ever behave. So some of the banter felts disjointed or forced and Rosie seemed to behave more like a meme than a person. But I think that toned down a bit as time went on. And it was easier to have compassion for her behavior/interactions once we got to see more of her dimension.

Rosie demonstrated major growth in the book. I can truly appreciate a character that, upon receiving new information/experiences, adapts. Sometimes she was a little slow on the uptake but it was lovely to watch her figure out how to build community and have vulnerability in her relationships.

This book has a strong focus of community and self-reflection, with a sprinkle of romantic interest.

Audiobook wise - the performance was really good and Rosie’s voice was clear and distinct. I think Jorjeana Marie did a great job voicing different accents and making each character have their own tones. A couple of the voices were a little shrill for me lol. Overall it was pretty impressive and added immense production value to have so much personality put into each character’s dialogue and I loved being able to see this extra dimension of it through the audiobook.

This was a really cute closed door romance. Rosie is likable, and she doesn’t realize how well she is doing, until she is willing to open up to her friends. Booker is wonderful, and I wish there was more of him!

Rosie is a successful NYC actress...or so that's what she wants everyone to think she is. She is an actress but she hasn't had many upcoming opportunities lately. Her friends are either married, pregnant, or have amazing jobs. Except for Rosie. She is still trying to figure out this thing called life and how to make it. Rosie has a job opportunity that she applied for and she got the job as a director at a regional theatre for the theatre's production of "Cinderella"...at least that's what she thinks she is getting herself into. When Rosie arrives at the "regional theatre" she realizes that she is at a retirement community and that her "actors" and "actresses" will be senior citizens. She has a huge challenge on her hands? Will she accept the challenge or will she run from it?

I absolutely LOVED this book! Especially on audio! Jorjeana does a wonderful job telling the story! I felt like I was on stage with her when she was describing everything that was happening! I love Courtney Walsh's books! She is such an amazing author! Thank you to Thomas Nelson for this ALC in exchange for my honest review!

Thank you to the author, narrator, publisher and Net Galley for providing a free e-audio version of this title in exchange for my review.

Books like this are usually fun and enjoyable for me. Lighthearted, quick reads or listens. They tend to go pretty quickly. Sadly, not this one. This was a struggle to get through, and as it was an audio, I couldn't skim. I never really cared for the Main Character, Rosie, or her attitude. By the end of the book, her life view has changed a bit, which is enjoyable, but was "too little, too late" for me this time around. The book was slow for over 50% of the book. For me. Maybe a younger reader would enjoy it more.

2.5 stars rounded up to 3 for the ending.

This book was so cute! It was light-hearted and innocent. I loved it! The setting was probably my favorite part of the story; a retirement community full of lively septuagenarians! How could it not be a good story?! Rosie was a great main character who followed her dreams. By the end of the book, she realized that our dreams can change or the path to the dream can change and that's ok!

I'm so sad to say this was a dnf for me. I normally love Courtney Walsh's books but, as a primarily audiobook reader, this didn't keep my attention. I'd take this review with a grain of salt because the narrator often makes or breaks an audiobook for me. I'd like to eventually try this one again in a physical format.

Very cute and inspiring, love that the romance wasn’t the main focus. The characters were great and so was the character DEVELOPMENT. Some of the romance aspects were a little too cheesy for my liking

Funny, heartfelt, and full of charm—this book totally surprised me in the best way. Rosie’s journey from struggling actress to unlikely director in a retirement home theater was equal parts hilarious and moving. It’s a lovely reminder that dreams can change, and sometimes the detour is where the real magic happens.

Thanks so much to NetGalley for the early access of the digital and audio book of Courtney Walsh’s new novel! If you are looking for a sweet romance that also really focuses more on internal growth and life lessons and friendship and finding and chasing your dreams? You’ve come to the right place. And if you’re a theatre person—big bonus because you’ll adore all the theatrical references. I loved Rosie and Booker! But i also was in love with the full cast of characters! It was adorable and thought provoking and a lovely read—or listen!! Highly recommend both the audio and digital/physical versions of this!!

Rosie is living an unauthentic life. She pretends everything is going great, but she’s floundering. She accepts a new job as a director of theatre at a retirement community- not the dream job, but the job she needed.

Rosie learns how to be authentic and how to speak her mind. There’s also some romance involved.

I enjoyed this book. It was a quick read, not overly emotional, funny, and endearing. Solid 4 stars.

I listened to this on audiobook- narrator was great!

Thank you to NetGalley and the publishers for an audio copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I found the beginning/middle of this story to drag on but thoroughly enjoyed the ending. I was hoping for more depth in Rosie's character development and finally saw it towards the end of the book. Regardless, I did find myself sucked into the story and rooting for the characters, especially Arthur. I will recommend this to people who are looking for a lighthearted romance/chick lit story. 3 out of 5 stars!

With a title like Everything's Coming Up Rosie and such a cute cover, who could resist this new release from Courtney Walsh and Thomas Nelson Publishing?! Luckily, it's not all flash, but substance too. Don't miss this adorably sweet five-star read about chasing dreams and accepting who you are.

Rosie's dream has always been to make it big as an actor. For years she's had half a foot in the door, getting just enough jobs to keep her going, but her big breakout moment remains elusive. She's on the verge of a full out existential crisis when she applies to every possible job she can think of willy-nilly style, and takes the first (and only) job she's offered. When she shows up in Wisconsin, she realizes she should have actually read the job description, because putting on an entire production as a director is a bigger bite than she's qualified to chew, even if it is 'only' for a retirement community's theater program.

Oh, this book. I want every young girl to read this. Rosie has a dream she's chasing, but she's never stopped to think about why she's chasing it, and if it's really even what she wants. As she slogs through the problems she's facing with the play, she gains confidence, experience, and friendships along the way. In the end, the situation she thought was just going to pay the bills until she moved on to bigger and better things turned out to be just the thing she needed to become her happier, healthier self. New and improved Rosie!

There is also a very sweet romance subplot with a man called Booker. He won he over quickly when he shrugged and said "I'm a hard person to know". With a line like that, you just know someone else put that into his head. The friendship he and Rosie have is so sweet and romantic and a little bit risky, because opening up your heart is always a risk.

I was blown away by this book. Every aspect was just done so well, and I was fully engaged. There were a few ways that seemed plausible for the plot to go, but it still kind of surprised me, and I was proud of Rosie and her ultimate decisions.

This is a book I would put into the 'feel-good' category, which, to me, is hard to achieve. If you need a lift in spirits this summer (or ever), Rosie's got your back!

Note:: I received an early copy of this book from the publisher through netgalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

The premise was cute but I had to start the story many times. The narrator wasn't my favorite and the fmc was not very likeable or memorable for me. I wanted the romance to be more prominent, instead of an after thought. I am glad it had a hea and I would try this author again

Everything’s Coming Up Rosie by Courtney Walsh audiobook ARC
Narrated by Jorjeana Marie

I got to read the book first and then I got the audiobook. Narrator Jorjeana Marie was the perfect choice for Rosie. I loved the romance and the plot, it was perfectly balanced.
Rosie is very relatable, nothing in her life or career is going how she thought and is struggling. She ends up getting a directing job but it's not what she thinks.
Booker is her perfect match and helps Rosie open up and she finds her true self again.
This rom-com has quirky-witty-banter, life challenges/ lessons, only kissing, lovable side characters, and you definitely need tissues on hand.

Thank you NetGalley and Thomas Nelson and Zondervan Fiction Audio for the audiobook ARC.

This was an easy, feel good read, written with a lot of heart and you’ll know why when you read the authors note. I found the beginning to be a bit slow but once I got into it, it was a pleasant story.

The narration was a little cringe-y, sounding almost like baby talk at times. So, yes, read this sweet book but skip the audio version when it publishes June 10.

Thanks NetGalley and the publishers for this advanced audiobook copy!
