Thank you NetGalley and publisher for this ARC audiobook for an honest review.
This was the perfect summer read and such great narration! I love Courtney Walsh and her sweet, fun romances. This one had it all...great heroine (Rosie), swoony book boyfriend (Booker), quirky cast of senior citizens (and one teenager!) and great supportive friends. This audiobook made me so giddy listening to it. It is one of those books that make you smile and giggle out loud. The banter was great not only between the romantic leads, but within the whole community. So much snark and I loved every minute! And the ending was chef kiss...:)

This was a cute story about finding yourself in the most unlikely of ways and really start to find what you really want with your life.
Rosie has always wanted to be a working actor being on the stage is the best feeling. But with moving to New York she learns its not as easy as she thought and she felt lost. When she gets a job offer to direct she jumps at it only problem she didnt read the posting on where and who before she applied or took the job. But as she submerse herself in doing the best job she can she truly finds herself and what her next steps will look like.
This was a heart felt and lol story.
Thank You NetGalley for this Audio Arc in exchange for my honest thoughts.

One thing about me - I’m a theater nerd. I have loved broadway shows since I can remember and acted any chance I could get growing up. This book brought all the nostalgic feels! The way the characters love the theater - I wish I could be part of the “old people” Cinderella production with them!
While I was rooting for Rosie and Booker, I will admit I was most invested in the relationship between Rosie and Arthur. The way they help each other grow is the kind of supportive friend we all hope for!
Another great one by Courtney Walsh who is masterful at building the chemistry in close door romance!

3.5 rounded up to 4
This book surprised me with how charmingly funny and sweet it was. It was a little slower paced at the beginning and took a little bit to really grab me. The narrators voice is a little nasally which combined with how much the fmc was whining at the beginning made me a little apprehensive, but I grew to appreciate her voice and the quirkiness it lent Rosie. The side characters were lovable and varied and the growth in relationships there was really satisfying to read. There was lots of character growth through this and it was a very sweet if very clean romance (only kissing). I did also find the occasional prayers and Christian references a little jarring but know that's a personal preference.

4.5 stars.... This book was funny, heartwarming, and had a little romance thrown in. I saw myself in Rosie, feeling like a failure while everyone else is thriving. Booker and Rosie's relationship was sweet and felt very natural, not rushed or thrown together. The narrator made me feel like I was in the story. Highly recommend this book/audio to everyone.

Everything's Coming Up Rosie is a book for the dreamers - those with a dream that has seemed out of reach and those who have had to reimagine that dream. It is an uplifting story that centers around our heroine, Rosie, and her journey of personal growth and self fulfillment.
After losing her job and apartment, Rosie is at a crossroads; with no acting prospects on the horizon, should she give up or keep pursuing her dream? She hasn't exactly been forthcoming with her friends and family regarding the true state of her life and career, so she also faces the dilemma that making that choice might require her to come clean. She doesn't want to be seen as a failure, even as she struggles with those same feelings and self doubt. Out of desperation, she takes a job directing a regional theatre's production of Cinderella; and it is there that she meets the people who will impact her in ways she never expected.
The supporting cast was my favorite part of this book. Give me all the sassy grandmas and grumpy curmudgeons with secret hearts of gold. The unlikely friendship between Rosie and the residents of the retirement community and the way they force her to face her insecurities and examine what she really wants is what makes this book so heartwarming and endearing. I also adored Booker, the MMC. He is kind, honest, thoughtful, and a total cinnamon roll. It is no wonder that all of his fellow staff loved him and the residents try to set him up with their daughters. He is the type of MMC that you root for from the start. I loved the witty and flirty banter between him and Rosie and the way he won her over to being more than just friends.
While I enjoyed the overall premise and arc of this book, I struggled with it at times. Rosie often came off a little immature for a woman in her late 20s. There were also some issues with pacing and repetition, especially in Rosie's inner thoughts and dialogue, which there was too much of in general for my taste. There are only so many times I can hear her say she's ready to come clean to her friends before I wanted to yell at her to just do it already. I would have preferred to see more of her interactions with the staff and residents, and a bit more development of her relationship with Booker, especially since they are the primary impetus behind her growth.
I won't call this "clean romance" because, to be honest, I loathe that term. Instead, I prefer to use a spice rating/level for those that want to know that information in advance. This book would be a zero on that level, as there are no intimate scenes. I'd also put it in the romance-lite women's fiction category rather than general romance. There is a love interest, but that part of the story is secondary to Rosie's struggles and her journey of self discovery and personal growth.
When I came across the book on NetGalley, I knew nothing about the book, author, or publisher; but the blurb sounded interesting, so I decided to request it and give it a try. And I'm glad I did. Overall, I thought it was heartwarming, sweet, and worth the listen.
The narrator, Jorjeana Marie, was new to me as well, and I enjoyed her performance. The reading was a little slow, but she did a great job conveying the emotions the characters were feeling and bringing the story to life. I think she was the right choice for Rosie, and now that I've heard her, I don't think I can imagine anyone else voicing Rosie's character.
I received an advanced listener's copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving my honest review. Thank you to NetGalley, Thomas Nelson, and Zondervan Fiction Audio for the ALC!

*ARC and ALC Review*
This book was a cute read overall. Full disclosure, it took me a little while to get through it. I didn't quite connect with the main character or her hobbies, which slowed me down a bit.
That said, there were definitely some hilarious and heartwarming supporting characters that kept me engaged. Arthur was a real standout for me. I loved his growth throughout the story and his wise insights.
The audiobook was engaging. Jorjeana Marie, the single narrator, did an awesome job bringing all the different characters to life with her voice. If you're thinking of picking this one up, I'd highly recommend giving the audiobook a listen!

I actually almost DNF-ed this book due to a few issues (mostly Rosie coming off like a high schooler rather than a 29-year-old adult, because I love dorky adults, but she fell short of that in immature), but with its shorter and quick, so I figured I'd stick it out. And although I cannot say that it had some huge turn around that made me adore the book, I am glad I finished.
First, this isn't really a romance. I marked it as such as there is romance in it, but it's far more about Rosie's journey of self acceptance and her dream than the romance between her and Booker. There's just enough of Booker around to let me throw the romance tag on.
I was honestly way more invested in the relationship between Rosie and the inhabitants, whether that be Arthur or Dylan or even miss Drama Queen whose name I cannot recall (Belinda?). They all interacted in such fun ways and helped each other grow. Also, as someone whose grandmother was in a care facility due to her age, I really appreciated seeing a book that gave care to those who are so often just ignored by society, especially when it was mentioned how much they truly can thrive when given care and something to love.
So while this book didn't absolutely hook me or anything, I did love the cast of 'old people' and the different theatre workers (even Rosie, who eventually grew on me), and just what this book set out to accomplish.

This was amazing! Courtney Walsh has such a knack for writing lovable heroines in her romance & women’s fiction novels.. Rosie is one every reader will love. Her journey was believable and made me feel like I was cheering on a friend. In a stressful world, I know I can always count on Courtney Walsh to deliver a much needed and fun escape without ever leaving my home.

Courtney Walsh never fails-I love her books! They always promise a good time, light hearted sweet clean romance and spunky characters. I particularly had fun with this book because it involved a quirky group of seniors living at a retirement community. Rosie the typical "Fear of failure female" must return home to face the fact she cannot land a job in the acting business, just when she is about to reveal she is out of money and a job, she lands a position at a retirement community to direct "Cinderella'

I absolutely adored this book!
Courtney Walsh has become a must read author for me with her ability to create loveable characters, swoony romance, and well-crafted and engaging storylines.
I loved Rosie and her journey of self discovery, and the sweet romance between Booker and Rosie was delightfully swoony. However, what made this story truly shine was the cast of endearingly colorful side characters. The whole ensemble brought a smile to my face. This book was a joy to read from beginning to end.
I had the opportunity to listen to the audiobook after reading this and it did not disappoint!
The narrator truly brought this story to life. Her delivery was emotive and engaging, her pacing was spot on, and I found myself able to get lost in the story while listening.
I highly recommend this book in either format!

Oh Courtney Walsh... you did it again and why am I even surprised??? What a wonderful, sweet story that I am so sad now that it is over!
Everything's Coming Up Rosie follows our star, Rosie (Ro to her friends). She is a struggling actor who left home to make it big in New York, but she's afraid to tell all her people back home just how hard this acting life is - especially when her group of friends all seem to have life together and are thriving! So, she applies to many jobs, so many and so quickly that she doesn't read the job descriptions very well. Suddenly she finds herself accepting a position to join the creative team for the production of Cinderella!...... However, it isn't at all what she expects. But, it quite possibly could be the best thing that ever happens to her.
This story is full of laughter, charm, and with just enough depth of emotions that it easily gets a 5 star rating! Courtney Walsh knows how to give us the people we need through her cast of characters. All of them are so lovable, so believable, and so relatable!
A big thank you to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for this audiobook. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

The narrator for this book was great and the story was amazing and I couldn't wait to see what happens

This is a sweet coming of age story of Rosie, who is really trying to navigate who she is and who she wants to be. I felt a big old reading this, and Rosie felt quite young and she had such strong feelings about her older counterparts (even though I'm in my 30's). Rosie thinks she knows what she wants from life, but also is questioning how she has been approaching things. I enjoyed the setting, the overall plot, and the senior citizen characters. I found the narrator sounded very young, so perhaps that added to my perspective of the story coming across as young. I also found Rosie's inner monologue and what she said out loud to be a bit confusing, and she often thinks first and then says something, so I found myself confused as to whether she actually said something or if it was just her inner thoughts. It was cute story and if you enjoy a younger protagonist you may enjoy this! Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the opportunity to provide my honest review.

Booker might just take the cake for the title "book boyfriend". I loved this book so much. The ending ?!?!?!? it gets all the stars! Courtney Walsh is ;perfect!

Rosie Waterman has always dreamed of becoming a successful actress. But life seems to continually have different plans for her. Out of work and desperately searching for a job, she is ecstatic when she finds out she’s been hired as the director of a regional theatre’s production of Cinderella. She doesn’t have much experience with directing, but she decides to give it a go. After all, she doesn’t have any other options at the moment, and the pay is good.
When she arrives in Door County, Wisconsin, she very quickly realizes that this job isn’t at all what she thought it was going to be. Instead, the “regional theatre” is in the middle of a retirement community and the actors are senior citizens who live there.
Not sure what to do next, Rosie refuses to tell her friends what she’s really doing, and is struggling to figure out the direction of her life.
There are a lot of challenges facing Rosie as she begins to work with the senior citizens, some of whom clearly don’t want her there. She has to learn how to step up and be the director that the community needs. As she learns to work with others and figure out how to lead this group of wannabe actors, Rosie finds herself softening and enjoying the process in a way she never thought possible.
Maybe- just maybe, this was what she needed all along.
I loved listening to the audiobook of this story. The narrator did such a great job with this one! This was my first book by Courtney Walsh but definitely won’t be the last.
I received an advanced reader’s copy of this book from NetGalley and am leaving this review voluntarily.

This book is a love letter to the theatre. I loved all the characters, the story, all the accurate details about the theatre world and I especially loved the ending. No spoilers, but Rosie made the right choice and I was so happy she did what felt right in her heart.
I relate so hard to Rosie Waterman. Her need to be perfect, to hide when she’s struggling, and the feeling that if she’s not doing exactly what she thought she was going to do, she’s failing. I feel that all on a daily basis and it was so cathartic to read about a character who has all the same feelings I do in the same industry I’m in!
The narrator Jorjeana Marie brought a beautiful lightheartedness to the character of Rosie, but she was also able to dig into the deeper more emotional moments of the book.
Professional theatre is pretty broken right now. It’s impossible to get cast if you haven’t already had a big role. Those Nationwide Casting Searches for the Dolly Musical and Heathers? Yeah, they cast Broadway Stars - all us little people? Nothing. There are SO MANY talented people just waiting to be discovered. Casting Directors, we are begging you to see us. Hear us. Take a chance on us. The theatre world is HARD, but it’s especially crappy right now and Courtney Walsh’s reminder to Dream Big Dreams, but also don’t be afraid to let them shift and evolve is something everyone (especially us theatre people) need to hear right now. Thank you, Courtney Walsh, for the reminder that sometimes our paths aren’t straight lines.
If you love theatre, you’ll love this book!

This was a cute listen! Most of what I appreciated was how flawed and real Rosie seemed. I liked hearing her doubts and watching her overcome the obstacles of the story. I didn’t love the tidy and quick wrap up at the end, but it still was a really solid read!
Thanks to NetGalley and Thomas Nelson for this ARC!

After a string of setbacks, Rosie’s dream of becoming an actress feels out of reach. Jobless and homeless, she jumps at a directing opportunity outside New York—only to discover the theater is part of a retirement community, and her actors are seniors with zero experience.
Still carrying trauma from her past, Rosie keeps her emotions bottled up, always pretending she’s fine. This is a story of healing, self-discovery, and realizing it’s never too late to follow your dreams.
I especially enjoyed the romantic subplot—Rosie and Booker had great chemistry, and while I wished their relationship had been explored more, the epilogue was touching. It was a cute, fun read, even if it didn’t fully resonate with me. I’m still interested in reading more from this author.

Everything's Coming Up Rosie is a charming, witty, and heart-filled romantic comedy that follows Rosie, a vibrant and determined woman whose life takes an unexpected turn when takes a new job without reading the job description. Once she arrives at the new job and it is something unexpected, she makes the most of the opportunity, while also meeting the eye-catching, adorable "Booker" who seems to think the same of her.
This book was cute, couldn't totally get into it, but the story was catching and I felt myself rooting for Rosie throughout.
