Lady Patience Nicolet is the third daughter of the Duke of Pelham and.. does not live up to her name. She is always in a rush, and is also in a hurry to marry. Marcus Langley, the Earl of Stanford is her exact opposite. Cue the chaos.

This is part of Dragonblade's Sweet Dreams line - so closed door romance. It is still really enjoyable and a great read.

Thanks to Kate Archer, Dragonblade publishing and NetGalley for an arc in exchange for an honest review.

The third book in the series follows the same recipe as the previous books in the series, which is fine by me. I love the humor and the characters. What I wish for is that Mrs. Right will stop meddling because even if she means well, her actions don't sit well with me. Marcus and Patience are complete opposites, and yet they suited each other very well. So far, all the pairings were good in my opinion. Having read the 4rth book as well, I have to say that in all four books, I didn't have a single issue with the pairings. The author did a very good job on that aspect. The series is better read in order because even though each book features a different couple, it feels like going into the series from the third book will be very abrupt for a new reader.

This is such a fun and charming series. Like Patience herself, I’m toe tapping away waiting for Serenity’s story to come out next.

Lady Patience is the Duke of Pelhams third daughter to have a season. Unlike what her name would suggest, Patience does not like to waste time dawdling. She’s decided she knows exactly how her season will go. She’ll lay eyes on a gentleman, deem him the perfect match, and live HEA.

Rather unfortunately, Patience sets her eyes on Lord Stanford. A man the complete opposite of Patience. His idea of a fun time is to spend weeks stewing over a decision. But alas, the heart wants what it wants and she wants him.

What follows, though, is an absolute comedy of errors. Mistaken identity, miscommunication, and errant moths abound. Will the Lord and Lady get their HEA? Only time can tell.

What to expect:
-Multiple POVs
-Standalone in an interconnected series
-Historical rom-com
-Closed door

Of the three books out in this series so far, I found this one to be the most successful on the romance front. Our two MCs actually spend some time together and their desire for each other is believable. Don’t get me wrong, it’s still very campy and quite Shakespearean comedy in nature. Don’t go into this expecting a swoony romance.

But, I really enjoyed Patience as a character. She felt much more real and realized compared to the two sisters whose books came before her. And Lord Standford was a great foil to her. And his rain soaked declaration? Very good. Applause all around.

Another fun, lighthearted read. Again- recommend for anyone looking for something easy to read. Do not recommend though if you’re someone who really hates the miscommunication trope. This story is chalk full of it.

My thanks to Netgalley and publishers for my ARC of the book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

This third book in A Series of Senseless Complications series is a delightful, light-hearted, clean historical romance. I absolutely enjoy this hilarious and peculiar family, including their staff and the three-legged dog. I can't wait for the next book! I highly recommend reading!

Lady Patience is the 3rd sister on the chopping block, oops, I mean marriage mart. She a hare, running fast through life, and she's chooses her mate, Marcus who is the tortoise in this story. Two very opposite personalities have to figure out how to pace their love and attraction to get to their hea.

A decent read with Kate's usual quirky sense of humor and side characters who are stalwart motivators.

Lady Impatience is the third story in the A Series of Senseless Complications series, and although I have not yet read the earlier stories, I didn’t feel the least bit lost. Anything I needed to know was provided through either dialogue or the narrative.

I had such a good time in this world that I’m definitely going to go back for the earlier stories and will continue to follow this series. Patience is the type of personality that runs through life, she doesn’t have the time nor the need to take things slowly. The man she will find as her match is the opposite in so many ways, and for good reason. Marcus will never make a hasty decision, especially about the woman he will marry. He will not have a marriage like his parents, so he will take his time before committing himself to Patience. They love each other, that’s obvious, but they each approach a lifetime together far, far differently.

If you love a well-written Regency Romance with believable characters in a story filled with charm, wit, banter, and as opposite from each other as is possible and still be in love, then you’d love Lady Impatience by Kate Archer.

*I received an e-ARC of this novel from the publisher via NetGalley, and I sincerely thank the author or publishing house for their trust. It is my choice to leave a review giving my personal opinion about this book.*

I like all of these Kate Archer series, and Lady Impatience is no exception. The Nicolet family are once again back in town for the Season, and it is the turn of Lady Patience (toe-tapper extraordinaire) to find her match. Marcus, Earl of Stanford is much more measured (a little ponderous, in fact). This does not work out well, initially, but all is well in the end. As ever, there's an unwanted butler, a wily housekeeper, helpful inputs from the Duke and vengeful letters from Mrs Wendover...

I recommend!

I just love this entire family. I think the youngest, Valor, is gonna be a doozy - with her hearing murdred ladies/screaming foxes every night. Kate Archer's sense of humor just SPEAKS to me. I laughed a little too much and my cat, Yan, got annoyed and jumped off my lap.

And the girls' father, Roland Nicole, the Duke of Pelham. WE NEED his story! Please write his story too!

Thank you to Dragonblade for the copy of this book. Opinions are my own.

This historical romance series is connected by the family that the sisters belong to. Every member of the family is wonderful in their own right. Their father is so much fun, and knows his girls so well. I do feel a little sorry for what the various heroes have to gone through so far.
Our hero this time has no idea what a happy family looks like. Despite being a very cautious and organised person he will learn to love the chaos.
I will definitely read every one of these books as they are released. They are guaranteed to make you smile.
Great fun.

I love this series and look forward to each sister’s story. Patience is sister #3 and the Nicolet’s make their way to London to quickly dispatch her out of the Dukes house. The humor in the book adds many a chuckle throughout the story and will make you fall in love with this family, and that includes the household staff. This is no ordinary Dukes family and you’ll love it. Patience will quickly determine who her husband will be and she’ll be engaged and married with no time wasted. Marcus, Earl of Stanford, also knew exactly what he wanted and needed from a wife and Patience was not it but, the heart wants what it wants and even though his careful contemplation throws a major monkey-wrench into Patience’s plan, love always prevails. Cannot wait for Sister Serenity’s tale.

I enjoyed this third book in the series just as much as the previous. Lady Patience, who is anything but, is third daughter of the Duke of Pelham to enter the marriage mart. She meets her match in Marcus, her complete opposite in every way. Neither is happy about their attraction to the complete opposite of what they're looking for. Yet neither has realized that what you want is not always what you need. Throw in the sisters with their crazy advise, a protective, diabolical housekeeper and a hilariously eccentric Duke and you're in for an adventure.
Thank you, Kate Archer, Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley for allowing me an advance copy for my honest feedback.

Patience is any thing but...

The third daughter. of the Duke of Pelham is impatient, which is ironic, as her name is Patience. She is anything but. In a hurry, she does fall for Marcus. a very measured earl, is her foil, her complete opposite. I liked this book more than the previous two, as it was a little less flighty. Maybe I just liked Marcus more, as he did have some reason and wasn't as silly.

Lady Patience Nicolet is the next daughter of the Duke of Pelham to have a season and hopefully secure a love match. Unlike her other sister, Lady Impatience as she is affectionately referred to (due to her toe tapping habit and perpetual need to make all decisions very quickly), knows exactly what she is looking for in a match and insists that she will know the man the minute she sees him.

When they make their way to London for the season, the sisters bring their Dale ponies with them to race through London in a similar fashion to what they do at home and during their first outing, Patience sees Marcus Langley, the Earl of Stanford, out of the corner of her eye and is intrigued. Marcus feels the same, although being the opposite of Patience, takes an inordinate amount of time making any decision due to his cautious nature. He feels drawn to her but is hesitant to commit due to their nature being directly opposite to each other! Unlike the Duke of Pelham’s girls, Marcus grew up in a vastly different household where both his parents detested each other and theirs was a home where shouting, insulting and general misery abounded! He is determined that he should settle down with someone who is as cautious as he is to have the quiet life for which he is hoping.

Another lovely story by Kate Archer who brings comedy, love, drama, a little of the ridiculous and over the top that I have come to expect from all her stories. I thoroughly enjoyed it and am waiting for the next installment when Lady Dramatic, (Patience’s twin) takes centre stage! I received an ARC from Dragonblade Publishing and NetGalley and submit my honest review voluntarily.

I just adore this series! The entire family as well as the staff are so quirky that every moment is filled with joy and humor. Out of five daughters, this is now Patience turn to find a husband. Marcus is the exact opposite of Patience which leads the reader through a series of humorous events. Like the fable about the turtle and the hare, you will definitely have to read this to see who gets to the finish line first. And while you are following these main characters, sit back and enjoy the antics of the secondary characters as well, it's a riot and a half! Super sweet story not to be ignored.

This whole series is a must read! Patience is a toe tapper. She wants everything organized, ready and done in quick time. Somehow that doesn't seem to work as well as a debutante. Marcus isn't quite as decisive as Patience is which makes her more impatient. The two together lead each other on a merry chase! To further delight the reader, the whole cast of characters in the family add to the antics, humor and joy of reading this book!

As a fan of Kate Archer’s charming Regency romance series, I dove into the latest installment with high expectations, especially having enjoyed the earlier books. While this novel can stand alone, my perspective is shaped by the context of the series, and unfortunately, this entry left me wanting more originality.

The author’s signature style—clean, sweet romance laced with humor—remains entertaining, and is as engaging as ever. The story follows a familiar pattern: an eccentric yet kind-hearted duke, a debuting heroine who falls for hero almost instantly. The hero, predictably, takes his time to reciprocate, nudged along by the meddling Mrs. Right, Duke, and the youngest daughter, Valor. While this formula worked wonderfully in the first book, by the third installment, it feels repetitive and, frankly, lazy. The plot structure mirrors previous two books so closely that it’s as if the author is recycling the same template, with little effort to innovate.

Characters that once sparkled have lost their shine. Valor and her stuffed toy, Mrs. Wendover, were delightful in the first book but now feel like caricatures, their quirks growing tiresome. Mrs. Right’s schemes, intended to push the romance forward, border on cruel, making her increasingly unlikeable. The humor, too, leans heavily on recycled jokes and constant callbacks to scenes from the previous books, which disrupt the narrative rather than enhance it.

While the book retains the series’ warmth and lighthearted tone, I couldn’t shake the sense that the author is coasting on the success of the first novel. For devoted fans, this installment may still offer some comfort in its familiarity, but I found myself wishing for a fresh approach. I hope Kate either reinvents the series with new dynamics or considers concluding it to preserve its earlier charm. For now, this book feels like a missed opportunity to elevate a beloved series.

Thank you NetGalley for ARC, all opinions are my own.

A fun romantic read!

Patience was anything but patient, she made snap decisions and decided on what to do in the moment.

Marcus was laid back, took his time and pondered over things before he made a decision.

When they meet opposites do attract but sometimes misunderstandings occur and things get taken out of context which is why this next storyline in the series is such a fun read and a perfect addiction to the series!

A wonderful clean romance with lots of depth and entertaining from the first page to the last!

I really enjoyed the quirkiness and the romance that went way beyond animal attraction. This author has done a fine job of letting her audience in to the hearts and minds of the characters. I smile as i write this because this is a love story that I think will stand the test of time.

Thank you for this NetGalley. I am enjoying this series. It has so much humor in it. Now it is Patience turn for her coming out. She feels she will know her true love right away. Her father thinks she is being too optimistic. She goes to Allmacks but he doesn't write his name in her dance card right away so she has to think maybe he is not meant for her. They have some misunderstandings but in the end it all works out, but not easy for either of them.

Another of the Duke of Pelham’s daughters is having a Season. Accompanied by her sisters, her madcap father and mischief-making housekeeper they travel from Yorkshire to London causing havoc and dismay at all the Inns they stay at en-route. Lady Impatience is well named, she makes decisions quickly and is known to toe-tap whilst others dilly-dally. From the moment of setting eyes on Marcus Langley, Earl of Stanford, she is sure he is the man for her but his hesitation at even putting his name down on her dance card has her second guessing everything. Meanwhile Stanford overthinks everything. After three years of consideration he has decided to choose a wife but what will happen in the Marriage Mart if the lady he decides to marry gets snapped up while he is analysing the pros and cons?
Another fun book in the series.
