Excellent sequel to Westfallen! The suspense, mystery and time travel elements continue in part two and set up for part three as well. The author's world-building for each time period is well-written. The beginning took a bit to get into, but once my memory of the characters was refreshed, the plot picked up speed. Definitely looking forward to reading the final book in the trilogy.

An uneven follow up to the highly compelling Westfallen. The first two thirds of this book was a little muddled and meandering- it was very difficult to catch my attention. The final third was a return to the compelling and exciting story started in the first book in the series, leaving off on another big cliffhanger. Ultimately, I’d recommend to fans of the first book but am hopeful the final book in the series has a tighter, more engaging plot.
