A calling to see both sides to every coin, this features the title characters, who prove themselves to be weather fronts. When a bad storm ruins a perfect, sunny day, Harry the High demands Larry the Low naff off, for good. When he does, of course, it's just permanent still, hot, rainless weather – and everyone suffers. This clearly can be taken to be a metaphor for anything in life where balance between two extremes is called for, but it's also definitely about the weather, with them designed as superhero and cloudy villain in turn. This brings us on to the art, which is fabulous – but also AI, unless I'm a Martian. Being a fan of human art for humans by humans, this is down to three and a half stars – it lacks everything that would prove it to be the author's labour of love, it only remembers to rhyme about 5% of the time – and is a common sense story with little to surprise. But it's still a valid lesson...

Children’s picture book. I liked the premise behind this story that we don’t always like things but they have a place, working together. There’s a bit of a weather pun in the names of the characters. However, while the drawing of Harry the High is shiny and pleasant, Harry the Low might frighten some children - it did me. Doesn’t get better when he’s meant to be smiling, in fact is probably worse. The fact that Harry the High brings as much destruction, I personally don’t think Harry the Low should be quite so grim. Thank you to Atmosphere Press and NetGalley for the ARC. The views expressed are all mine, freely given.

Story: great! Pictures: fell very short.
I've mentioned before that the AI-generated images annoy me. This book has changed my opinion to: AI-generated images have got to stop. There were a lot of flaws in the images of this book that made it painfully obvious the origin of the images. Pictures in a kids' book don't have to be professional or perfect by any means. They just have to be colorful and appealing to a young audience. Additionally, as I said earlier, there are obvious mistakes that are made in AI-generated pictures, and it distracted from the story. However, speaking of the story, I really liked it! The author's decision to use superhero characters to create a story about teamwork and uniqueness was a very smart one, and it will definitely be a fun read for many kids out there.
