Definitely not a light read, to understate things just a bit. Very, VERY dense - but also impressive in both its thoroughness, and the new lens through which it provides a religious history of the lands that eventually came these United States. Very informative, and while not a casual read for me personally, would be a perfect edition to the religious history section of the academic library that I work in.
