For people who love following pop culture online, this is a great, easy read with plenty of fun twists and music industry influence all over it. The inclusion of articles, Reddit threads, etc. makes this more immersive and engaging.

The synopsis of this book sucked me in as Swiftie but I went in not looking for the Easter eggs so I could see if my guess was correct and boy was I way off!
At first the POV of Naomi drove me a little mad and her constant talk of her sister felt like a lot but… it all made sense eventually!
I thoroughly enjoyed the articles and interviews throughout the book but wished that we didn’t also get Naomi’s thoughts immediately after reading them.
The sudden change of POVs was *chefs kiss* and gave voice to the one who deserved it and was a perfect choice!
This book could have been 5 stars if the ending wasn’t so quick! I wanted the guilty parties to face more scrutiny which I’ll leave at that to save spoilers! I also wanted a stronger reaction from Naomi in the end!
Amazing first book from the Mancaruso Sisters and cannot wait to see what you write next!
Thank you to NetGalley for this E-Arc!

Rumoured was a fun book! It was different than what I usually read, but I ended up enjoying it. It started off kind of slow but really picked up in the second half. I enjoyed the different POVs and all of the easter eggs, and the big twist was good!
It was a little long for my liking, and I had to really push through the first part, but it ended up being a fun time!

Thanks to the publisher and Camp Netgalley for a chance to read this book. This book was different than other books I have read. I really enjoyed the different social media posts, articles and everything throughout the book which helped get the full story. Naomi Barnes is a writer for C*leb News and is offered to cover the story of Harlow, the celebrity pop star who is rumored to have killed several people. She travels to NYC and stays there while she is working on the story. Her own life and family are intertwined in the story as well in a different twist than expected. Good book despite not being my usual type, just because it being based on a celebrity. I dont usually read books based on celebrities whether real or fictional but it was good.

If you're looking for a gripping murder mystery with a glamorous twist, Rumoured by The Mancaruso Sisters delivers in every way. I absolutely loved this book. It's sharp, suspenseful, and unexpectedly fun.
Told from the unique perspective of a celebrity reporter, the story explores the high-stakes world of fame and scandal as our narrator investigates a rising pop singer who is accused of killing her actor ex-boyfriend. The Hollywood setting adds an exciting layer, blending crime-solving with tabloid drama in a refreshing way.
What makes Rumoured so compelling are its constant twists and turns. Just when you think you've figured it out, another surprise changes everything. It's fast-paced, addictive, and has just the right touch of chick-flick charm—think red carpets, heartbreaks, and hidden secrets—while still holding strong as a mystery.
The Mancaruso Sisters have created a true page-turner filled with glitz, drama, and suspense. If you enjoy celebrity gossip, thrilling mysteries, or juicy storytelling, this book should be at the top of your list.

Rumoured is a fantastic debut that immediately drew me in with its strong characters, layered storytelling, and emotionally charged family dynamics. The Mancaruso sisters are unforgettable, each one distinct, complex, and full of personality. Their relationships felt real and raw, and I loved how the story explored sisterhood, loyalty, identity, and the weight of rumors.
The pacing was solid, and the plot kept me engaged from start to finish. There’s an outstanding balance of drama, heart, and mystery; the writing felt confident and fresh. For a debut, this truly stands out; it’s clear the author has a strong voice and a gift for capturing emotional nuance.
I’m definitely looking forward to seeing more from this series and following the journey of these fierce, flawed, and fabulous sisters. A great start with tons of potential!
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This is a newer author for me which I enjoyed reading from beginning to end. I enjoyed this author's ability to pull me into the character's world from the start and keep me turning pages to the end. This is a well written story that is fast paced and hard to put down. A story that is told in the perspective of a journalist but done so in a way that kept me engaged throughout. The characters are strong, connectable and will keep you coming back for more. They bring the twists and turns to life on every page. I also enjoyed the growth of this story throughout which made the story easy and entertaining to read. This is a great story that you don't want to miss. I highly recommend this book.

4.5 stars rounded up
Phew, this book took me on a RIDE! I’m truly amazed that this was a debut novel. It’s so well researched and well written, and very twisty.
The authors tell you right up front that they’ve hidden tons of Easter eggs throughout the story. I’m not a huge music buff, so I absolutely know without a doubt that I pretty much missed everything except the explicitly obvious. 😂 But if that’s your thing, this will be right up your alley!
There’s also a ton of mixed media thrown in here: social media posts with comments, Internet deep dives, articles, etc. and I literally always love when these types of things are added in a book! It added lots of context to the story and especially helped to build the reader’s knowledge of Harlow Hayes, mega global phenomenon she is in this world.
I really enjoyed seeing the FMC completely spiral over her research and still dealing with her grief over the loss of her sister. I got irritated with her rash article maybe halfway through the book, BUT I really appreciated how she realizes later how immature and reckless this was, and works to change—this made her character redeemable for me.
The way things end up playing out were definitely not on my Bingo card and were definitely…far-fetched, yet also not? I can’t say much more without spoilers but the conclusion was mostly satisfying and although it requires some suspension of belief, I think most readers will really enjoy the wild and crazy adventure regardless!
I loved this book and found it so entertaining and engaging the whole way through. Major props to the authors for an insanely good debut!

This book took a while for me to get into but once I was I had a hard time putting it down. Naomi is my least favorite part of the story but the mystery made this book quite interesting and was the only reason I kept reading. This book is hard to rate because it has some really good parts but for the most part it was okay. Mystery = 5 stars. MC= 2 stars. Overall 3 stars.
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher or the arc

If you like murder mysteries and celebrity drama, this book is for you. Loaded with conspiracy theories and hidden easter eggs, it keeps the reader engaged.
Investigative journalist, Naomi Barnes, is assigned to the case of Harlow Hayes, a pop star and global sensation who was arrested on suspicion of murder. As Naomi digs deeper into the scandal, she starts to discover that she has more ties to this case than she could ever imagine.
I flew through this book so quickly, it is easily a bingeable read. The twists kept me guessing but I had the ending figured out before Naomi did. Once I started connecting the dots, I could not put the book down until it was over.
This book felt more like a whodunit mystery than a real thriller. I was flipping the pages trying to solve the mystery rather than being on the edge of my seat in anticipation. Aside from the sex and drugs, this feels like it would be a great YA celebrity mystery. I would have thoroughly enjoyed this back when I was always reading celebrity magazines.
Thank you to Bloomsbury | Head of Zeus – an Aries Book and NetGalley for the ARC.

As a writer for C*Leb News, Naomi jumped at the chance to go to New York and cover the arrest of pop star Harlow Hayes. What starts as just a ordinary celebrity gossip story, soon turns into a full on investigative story when Naomi learns that Harlow is charged with two murders and may be connected to several more. Naomi dives in head first into finding out the truth about Harlow Hayes and who she really killed or did not.
I really enjoyed this book. There were so many twists and turns that it really left me guessing until the end. I thought that it was a little slow to start out, but that is about the only criticism that I have. It was really fun that the Mancaruso sisters included faux news articles and comment sections in the story. It made me think as if the articles were really being published. This was definitely a book that was a page turned and was hard to put down when the plot really got good. I was shocked at the end and I loved it. I also really like that the authors included their own Easter Eggs and mysteries in their writing. I wish that some of them would have been more obvious because I didn't find them and that some were not so spread apart. However, it was a fun touch.
Thank you NetGalley for the ARC. I really enjoyed this one!

I love books about pop stars and the music industry, this was a pretty fun one. It wasn’t the most memorable and i felt it definitely dragged on for longer than it needed to but i enjoyed Harlow.

Rumoured was an entertaining and quick paced read following a journalist (Naomi) as she dives into a major popstar accused of murder. I really enjoyed Naomi's narration, she. kept me hooked and I fell down the rabbit hole with her.

Rumoured was such a great read. A famous pop star Harlow was arrested for the murders of two separate people, and Naomi is sent to NY to cover the story for her celebrity gossip column.
There were so many unexpected plot points and twists. It was so hard to put this one down. I truly couldn’t have guessed who the murderer was. The characters had great dimension and were very believable.

4.5/5 ⭐️
Wow this book was wildly entertaining, I finished it in 3 days.
Naomi is such an interesting narrator and reminded me a lot of June (the main character in Yellow Face) with her chaotic problem solving. Her ever growing interest in this murder case goes to pretty insane levels and her connection to the case will keep you on your toes through out the book. I also really liked the mixed media format, we got to see threads & articles that pertained to the case throughout the book; I’m a fan of the addition of outside formats in novels.
I was able to guess the plot twist fairly early, but I was so enthralled I didn’t even care.
This book would be perfect for anyone who loves the latest celeb gossip, musical Easter eggs (I’m talking to you T Swift fans!), or a thriller / mystery that will keep you guessing.
Bonus points: The authors were so sweet and gave me hints to solve the last anagram 😊
Thank you Bloomsbury USA and NetGalley for the advance reader copy! All opinions are my ow

If you’re a Swiftie or love solving crimes, you HAVE to read Rumoured by @the_mancaruso_sisters! Pop star Harlow Hayes is arrested because of multiple unalivings, and investigative journalist Naomi Barnes is tasked with covering the trial, but when the trial gets cancelled, Naomi’s stubbornness and determination prevents her from stopping. This case is absolutely insane. There’s so many angles, and I didn’t see the result coming until the end. This is a keep track of everyone type of case, and if you know me, you know these are my favorite kinds of cases. I LOVED this book, and I can’t wait to go back through and figure out the secret code!

A fun thriller that I think will be a big hit with music fans. I really loved the first half, but felt it lost it's way in the second and really let down some of the side characters.

Harlow Hayes is loved by many and hated by some. At the pinnacle of career she is arrested for murder. Enter Entertainment Reporter, Naomi Barnes. Naomi’s late sister was a huge Harlow Hayes fan and now Naomi is thrust into a chance of a lifetime and will do anything to find out if Harlow is the innocent singer her sister loved or a murderer. In her attempt to discern the truth Naomi gets in deeper and deeper. As she delves into the life of Harlow Naomi finds herself immersed in something she may not live to see the end of and if she does, her life may be irrevocably altered.
A page turner from the start! Twists and turns of the best kind! Don’t miss this one!
I received this book as an ARC. I am not being compensated for this review, it is my honest opinion. Thank you Bloomsbury USA and NetGalley for the opportunity to review this book.

Thank you so much to NetGalley for the early copy of Rumoured. I had so much fun reading this one and am beyond impressed by the creative format and fresh concept! The storyline was smart, twisty, and honestly a lot of fun even with the heavier moments.
I loved the layers of fandom, fame, grief, and media obsession. It gave me so much to think about while still pulling me into the drama like I was binging a headline-worthy true crime docuseries.
That said, I did find a few plot points a little too convenient, and some of the character development felt surface level in places. Nothing major, but just enough to keep it from being a full five stars for me. Reading it digitally also made some of the clever formatting harder to appreciate. I would absolutely love to get my hands on a physical copy and experience the story the way it was meant to be consumed.
If you're a thriller reader who loves mixed media storytelling, unexpected twists, and a peek behind the curtain of celebrity culture, this one will keep you flipping pages.
I would definitely read more from the Mancaruso sisters! This was a strong debut and such a unique reading experience. Thank you so much!
