big time actor/director buys a house in a small town, to start fresh and to film his new historical film. But soon he starts to develop feelings for his housekeeper. Romance starts to blossom between the pair. But when nasty texts, strange letters and fake press releases all start happening the pair must work together to put a stop to it.

There were times that the story felt disjointed and the pacing was off but overall it’s a quick and easy palate cleanser with a lot of heart

Title: A New Arrival at Samphire Bay
Author: Sasha Morgan
Genre: Romance with a Mystery Element
Medium: Ebook
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
Review: This warm and charming seaside romance pulled me in from the very beginning. When local musician Emma takes a job as a housekeeper at a stunning Art Deco mansion, she finds herself working for the enigmatic Felix Paschal—better known to fans as actor-director Adam Sinclair. As sparks fly and a sweet romance begins to blossom, a series of unsettling events—anonymous threats, disturbing messages, and online sabotage—put both their budding relationship and new life in Samphire Bay to the test.
Sasha Morgan brings the coastal setting to life with vivid detail, and her characters are layered, endearing, and easy to root for. The romance elements genuinely warmed my heart, and I found myself growing to love the characters more with each chapter. I especially enjoyed the Agatha Christie–like mystery woven throughout the plot—it added a clever, old-school whodunit element that kept me guessing and engaged.
A delightful blend of heart, suspense, and community spirit—this is the perfect cozy escape with just the right mix of charm and intrigue. I hope we get to return to Samphire Bay again soon!

Bunty has sold her beloved house at Samphire Bay. Rumors abound about the new owner and his plans. Felix loves his new house and can’t wait to start filming for his tv show there. He realizes quickly that the house is huge and he needs help running it. Emma takes the offer from her employer to voluntarily leave her job. The job working at the big house is what she is looking for since she loves Bunty’s old house. The two of them work together to keep the house and the tv production running smoothly. Will they be able to have a relationship that’s smooth sailing too?

I was sad that Bunty sold her house but I think the author made a good choice having Bunty move into town and someone new move in. I like that the author included more about Perry and his relationship with Emma. He seems like a really good dad. I like the story of Bunty and Perry finally getting their happily ever after. Felix visited the house during the open house when it was for sale. That’s important to the story because it’s where he first “met” Emma. It helps to drive his decision to hire her to care for the property. The author did a good job showing how committed Felix is to the tv production and his desire to become a director instead of just an actor. He seems like a nice man who treats people fairly. He’s a good addition to Samphire Bay. Emma is written as a bit impulsive but also steady once she is committed to a course of action. She is a talented musician and performs regularly with her band. I like that the author had her fall into the role of caretaker for the house with so much grace and talent. There’s a little twist at the end that I won’t mention but it made total sense in the story and it made me happy for the characters. Robin and Jasmine get an update in this story. I like that the author continues to tell the stories of the characters from the prior books. I am looking forward to Jack’s story and happily ever after. There is a bad guy that plays a big role in the story. It helps to bring Emma and Felix together.

This story takes place in Samphire Bay. It is a contemporary romance between two characters seemingly from different worlds who turn out to have more in common than is readily obvious. I thoroughly enjoyed the story and I look forward to reading more from this author in the future.

This is a delightful blend of romance, mystery, and small-town charm, set against the atmospheric backdrop of an English coastal village. When former actor and now director Adam Sinclair (known to the world as Felix Paschal) arrives in Samphire Bay to renovate an iconic Art Deco home and film a period drama, he’s seeking privacy and a fresh start. Enter Emma, a talented local musician in need of money, who takes on the role of housekeeper and quickly finds her life entwined with Adam’s in more ways than one.

Their chemistry is immediate and believable, with sparks flying amid the clashing worlds of celebrity and ordinary life. As the film production ramps up, so does the tension—not just romantic, but from outside forces, too. Mysterious messages, media leaks, and threats to their peaceful haven add a compelling layer of intrigue that keeps the story moving.

Morgan balances romance with suspense beautifully, while capturing the spirit of a close-knit community. Emma and Adam are both likable, well-developed characters, and their slow-burn relationship is easy to root for.

I loved this story based in Samphire Bay which in itself sounds like a wonderful place to live. Supporting family, friends and neighbours made for a great foundation for a lovely story. I loved the description of the Art Deco house which really brough the surroundings to life. Great characters, I especially loved the description of the narrow boat holiday. Full of love, friendship and love and understanding. Excellent read.

A wonderful read that you will not want to put down.

Thanks NetGalley for this Arc!

Although this story was sweet and heartwarming, I was utterly bored after Anika got caught. I would have preferred not to have so many different povs and character storylines. I was expecting just Emma and Felix but it was so much more. I loved the intrigued or the underlying suspense but it wrapped up so quickly then the rest of the book felt like an extended epilogue.

Looking for a reprieve from prying eyes and a place to film a historical drama, Felix/Adam finds himself in Samphire Bay in a beautiful and secluded house. Along comes Emma who takes the job as housekeeper. It isn't long before Adam and Emma start to fall for each other. Can they get past his stalker though? I love all of the characters in Samphire Bay and how they all tie together. I cannot wait to read more!

This was my first trip to Samphire Bay, and I have to say—I wasn’t disappointed! It’s a sweet, easy read that I flew through in no time. There’s quite a bit going on with storylines from three different couples, which was fun, but I did feel like it pulled some attention away from Felix and Emma, who I was most curious about.

The romance was a little predictable (which, honestly, I don’t mind—I love a good chick lit), but I didn’t fully buy into them as a couple. Not sure what it was—maybe just a lack of spark for me. That said, I really enjoyed the stalker storyline. It added just the right amount of tension and mystery, and I liked how it played out.

The side characters and their stories were also cute, and I get the feeling we haven’t seen the last of them in future Samphire Bay books. I’d happily come back for more.

Thanks to NetGalley for the advanced copy!

I was happy to receive this book in advance. This is the first book I have read by Sasha and I knew after a few pages I was going to enjoy it. Liked her easy style of writing. Felix is an actor but is doing his first spot of directing which is how he sees his future. He buys a large mansion set on a headland in Lancashire as it fits well into the setting of his film. Emma is fed up with her job at the bank and gets the opportunity to take redundancy. She is a singer in a local band but they haven’t quite taken off. Bunty was the owner of the big house and she and Emma’s Dad Perry are partners, Jasmine and Robin are Buntys neighbours. Felix advertises for a live in housekeeper as he needs someone to look after the house and serve drinks and food to all the actors and back room staff while filming. Emma gets the job and her and Felix settle into a routine and develop feelings for each other but don’t admit it to each other. A blot on the horizon is Felix’s ex Anika ,a model, she is a nasty piece of work who wasn’t happy when Felix broke up with her. The book goes between a few of the characters but the main writing is about Felix and Emma, I would recommend reading it,I couldn’t put it down, this is the second in the series(I haven’t read the first but that didn’t matter)Hopefully there will be a third.

I loved being back at Samphire Bay. Sasha's descriptions of the places was fantastic. as well as her characters both old and new. the place feels familiar whether youve read the first in the series or not. i would recommend it just because its so good and you'll want to be involved in this community just like i do. but if you havent or dont want to this one can be read as a standalone just as easily as it give you all the info and backstory you need.
Adam and Emma had great chemistry. they were both witty and there interactions made me smile so much, this book was filled with so much good feeling and warmth. i feel so lucky to read these books especially when authors i love come out with yet more delights for us all.

This is book 2 of the series, I would recommend reading book 1 but it does give good back story if you do want to, this is a really good read and the setting sounds fabulous, the characters are well written and have depth, I am really hoping there will be a third in this series

This was my first by this author but I will be looking for back catalogue.

A bit disjointed which was a shame as it spoiled my enjoyment. I found it confusing with all the different characters and so I got bored quickly. My thanks to Netgalley and the publishers for giving me the opportunity to read this book in return for an honest review.

I always love a book that showcases an actor trying their best to live a private life and I really enjoyed this sweet romance. It gave me all the feels. Adam and Emma had great chemistry and I enjoyed it immensely. It’s amazing and heartwarming how to people from different walk of life can find love.

Overall I enjoyed the story. I would have preferred it not be split across three separate couples, as it felt disjointed even though there were loose connections. Emma's story was the most enjoyable. Perry's felt very repetitive. And Jasmine and Robins was ok, but you would definitely be best having read the first book..
