"Home Sea Home" is the second graphic novel in the middle grade "Super Boba Cafe" series by Nidhi Chanani. Aria is having nightmares and thinks that she needs to go back to San Francisco and Nainai to help the monster beneath the city. She discovers that she has developed new water powers since the last time she interacted with the monster, but she can't fully control them yet. An exciting story about family, support, and believing in yourself, this is a must buy where the first book is popular.

I read and enjoyed the first Super Boba Cafe, and was pleased to read the second book in the series. The mystery deepens as Aria develops magical powers, and has recurring nightmares once she is back home. The solution reached in the first book is still working at Nainai's cafe in San Francisco, but Aria senses something must be amiss.

In this adventure, they meet and converse with the monster, with a goal of helping him with the root of his problem. There are important life lessons, such as when Nainai tells Aria that she is stronger than she thinks and compares her challenges to her own challenges as a young single mother.

Readers will enjoy the supernatural, sweet, and mysterious story with familiar characters and new adventures!

I recommend this book for schools and libraries!
