Lady Anna Parbury is in trouble. Her father has passed on and his estates and title have passed to her cousin who wants the fortune Anna’s father left in trust for her, and he’s willing to compromise her—or worse—to get it. But Anna has discovered her charming rogue of a father was also a charming rogue of a blackmailer, and that leads to brand-new sorts of trouble—like Mr. Elliott Ward, who has arrived looking for the evidence her father held against someone he cares for. And like Mrs. Dove-Lyon, the famous Black Widow of Whitehall, who has come for the same reason—and with a bargain in Anna will give the Black Widow the files Anna’s father held over her, and in exchange, she will find the girl a husband.
Another very good book in this connected series & we see a different side to Mrs Dove-Lyon & more of her past is revealed too. I really liked both Anna & Elliott, the chemistry between them smouldered & they worked well together to avoid a ruthless villain. Fast paced with strong characters had me devouring the book in a sitting. I loved how things were resolved

The Lyon’s Love Letters by Deb Marlowe is a Lyon’s Den Connected World novel featuring Lady Anna Parbury, whose father, the earl has recently died and she is scrambling to find a situation in which she can support herself, when her cousin, Thomas, the new earl rears his ugly head. With him he brings a cluster of other wastlings despite the fact that her house is in mourning. She is frightened for herself: he had inherited the earldom, but she had inherited the money, or would when she reached the designated age. Elliott Ward had known her father as a cheat, a scoundrel, and a blackmailer. He just turned up at the right time. What was to follow was more a gift than anything and it involved the two of them, with an assist from Mrs. Bessie Dove-Lyon.
Lady Anna was as independent as society would allow. Her deplorable cousin was determined to ruin her so she would be forced to marry one of his cronies, who would then share the inherited money with him. He didn’t realized there was an age stipulation. And he and his “friends” were not easy to avoid. They were really no better than her father had been. Elliott was a younger son and as such, had nothing. The old man had something that his mother wanted. He intended to get it for her and she, in return, would give him a property she owned that he wanted. Of course, people who do things that are rewarded with blackmail don’t always keep their word. It was an intriguing novel, full of mystery as are the novels Marlowe is known for. Good story. Fun read. Yay, Mrs. Dove-Lyon!

Fun fast read. Characters are clever, smart, strong, the conversations are real and constructive. The obstacles they need to overcome make the story real and it is well paced. The black widow of Whitehall was a great addition to the main characters! I love that she was involved and helped Anna and Elliott. For the love of green apples, go read the book. You won't be disappointed.
Content 411: one sexually intimate scene (which added nothing to the story).
Thank you Dragonblade Publishing, Netgalley and author for providing an advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

A delightfully different story from the Lyon’s Den .Elliott is a Baron’s son, wishing to make his life count. Anna is an Earl’s daughter and in her evil cousin’s sight for the money her father left her. I adored how they met and seemed to find an immediate connection!. The mystery they solved was twisty and seeing Mrs. Dove-Lyon in the mix was very original. The climax was a tad exciting and the ending was adorable! I will never think of little green apples in any other way again! Enjoyed it immensely!
I received this story for free and these are my own views.

After her father dies, Anna realizes that he was blackmailing many people. When her evil cousin comes to take over, he brings a cruel man that is looking for the information her father held on him. Anna instead goes on the run with Elliot and is also helped by Mrs. Dove-Lyon to find justice and receive what she is due. I received an ARC from NetGalley and Dragonblade Publishing for my honest review.

This was a sweet addition to the series. It is a fast afternoon read. The plot includes Mrs. Dove-Lyons, who has a personal interest in the story line. She is very mysterious and deserves to be front and center which allows us to learn more about her.

Lady Anna Parbury is desperate to find a position so that she can escape from her cousin who wants to ruin her to gain access to her inheritance. She has learned upon her father’s death he was not the man she thought he was. He was actually getting money from people who he was blackmailing.

I really liked Anna and Elliot’s story!! It was a lot of fun, so very sweet and absolutely delightful!! I liked how they both worked together to solve the trouble that they found themselves in. Both characters were very likable and I enjoyed reading how they found their happily ever after together!! I highly recommend this book!!

A lively story in which Bessie Dove Lyon features in a meaningful way.

They work together to find out things about her cousin's friend and what he has done. they become quite close but she is not to get her money for four years. This book was well written, Deb Marlowe weaves in adventure and tops it with romance and Mrs. Lyon.

But there is one ruthless villian who now has his sights on Anna and Elliott, and the chase begins. With the help of Mrs. Lyon, the villain, is brought to his knees, and Anna and Elliott get their hea.
This book was fast-paced and the romance sweet.

I loved the story. It’s well written, entertaining and last but not least, Mrs. Dove-Lyon plays a major role in this story. Elliott and Anna are attracted to each other but danger is lurking as they stay one step ahead of it. Mrs. Dove-Lyon has a history for unique games of chance and this is one of the best because a villain is uncovered, Elliott gets his hearts desire and Anna gets her future with Elliott. They get their HEA but there is so much going on in this story, besides what is mentioned above, that it makes for great reading. I absolutely loved the story.
