A good murder mystery which is a real puzzle with lots of twists and clues. It works well as a standalone but probably best to read the series in order for full enjoyment.

Ah this was amazing. This book fulfilled all my suspense and thriller needs. Gritty, not obvious...I was gripped right until the end and left wanting more.

I have really enjoyed the previous books in this series and The Putney Bridge Killer is a great addition to a very good series. The story begins well and I was quickly drawn into the story and its characters. I've always liked the main character, Rob Miller and he and his team are tested here when a historic case returns to haunt them and puts them under heavy scrutiny. The writing is very good and engaging and the story flows well. The plot is intricate with lots of different threads that grabbed my attention and had me wondering what would happen next. Biba Pearce certainly knows how to connect with her readers and I think this is a cracker of a read full of tension and suspense. I really liked how the story ended, it sets up the next book perfectly and I for one will definitely be wanting to read it. If you like police procedurals I woukd recommend this book, although would say if you're new to this author read the previous books in order to get to know the characters and their histories from the start.

Copycat..?
The eighth outing in the Detective Rob Bridge series of mysteries finds Miller called to a brutal scene - all the more concerning as it mirrors almost exactly the crimes of a previous killer. As the body count rises and media attention escalates, Miller works against the clock. With a well drawn cast and a pacy, gritty plot, this is a worthy addition to the overall series.

Excellent read and surpasses any of Biba’s previous books. Really enjoyed it and would highly recommend it and of course Biba’s previous books

This book was another great one in the series. The twists were good. It would work as a standalone but is so much better as part of a series.

DCI Rob Miller and team have a nasty murder case to investigate. The modus operandi is exactly like the one of the Surrey Stalker but he is dead and buried. Then another murder and this includes details not revealed in the earlier murders. Teasing out how and who was a challenge even for this specialist team. Copycat? If so, who and why? Leak in the team? Ditto. As usual Rob runs a little too close to the line at the time, the team members are great together and there is no way that they are backing down to politics. Rather gory at times but a good read even if I did guess the perpetrator rather early on. How they were what they were was interesting and convoluted. Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an advance copy.

This is #8 in the DCI Rob Miller series and it was great to be back with him, his team, and his family. It can easily be read as a standalone, but I highly recommend reading the whole series as it’s really good.

The body of a young woman is found under Putney Bridge and it’s clear that she suffered a brutal attack. Rob arrives at the scene and gets a huge shock; everything matches the handiwork of the Surrey Stalker. But it can’t be him, because he was caught five years ago and he’s dead.

The first thought is that it’s a copycat killer on the loose, but then the killer starts referencing things that weren’t revealed to the public or the media. Is there a leak in Rob’s department? Or did Rob get the wrong man five years ago?

Another brilliant episode in one of my favourite series.

Thank you to NetGalley and Joffe Books for an advance reader copy in return for an honest review.

When a woman's body is found under Putney Bridge, DCI Rob Miller is called into investigate. But for him it reminds him of a case he investigated years ago, it mirrors the one back then but the killer is dead so who did this? they need to find out before more woman die. I found it quite fast paced to begin with then it seemed to slow down. I liked the fact that I knew the area, that always peaks my interest in a book. The details of the places were spot on and the characters really worked well for the book. I would be intrigued to read another one of Biba's books. I found this one did not hold my attention as much as I would of liked.

A brutal murder. A deadly secret. A killer who’s done this before . . . DCI Rob Miller is called to a murder scene in the early hours of the morning. A young woman’s body has been discovered under Putney Bridge. There are clear signs this was a brutal attack. The crime scene is especially unnerving for DCI Miller. It mirrors the victims of the Surrey Stalker, a sadistic predator Miller took down five years ago. But the Surrey Stalker is dead?!! Wow! Fantastic read! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book! It had gripping suspense, gruesome murders, mystery, kidnapping, serial killers, dark secrets, intriguing, action, fantastic characters and some crazy twists and turns! The story was very interesting! I highly recommend reading this book! Thank you NetGalley and the publisher for sharing this book with me!
