Seemingly Impossible..
A sweltering heatwave, a seemingly impossible cold case and the very welcome return of Hillary Greene and her team in this twenty second book in the series. Another immersive and compelling outing with a cast of well drawn, credible and likeable main characters, a propulsive plot littered with red herrings and with a solid mystery at its very heart. A very worthy addition to this enjoyable and entertaining series.

This was the first book in this series I have read but didn't find any problem getting into it and I have read others series from this author before. It was a very good mystery with the answer providing an unusual turn. However for me while the ending might be expect in the real world in my mysteries I prefer a better ending. It is still a good book and an entertaining read but this is the reason for my 4 not 5 stars. I received an advance review copy for free, and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Excellent as always. I can never fault books by Faith Martin, more so those in the Hilary .Greene series. If they are unfamiliar to you, then you are missing out. Recommended.

I was given an ARC of this book by the publisher, Joffe Books, and NetGalley. This review is my own. I very much enjoyed this DI Hillary Greene mystery. Hillary is working as a civilian contractor on cold cases and investigates a 15 year old murder of a model. Hillary is her usual sharp and confident self, and the mystery is very cleverly written. Very good mystery!! http://www.joffebooks.com/

DI Hillary Greene, known for her impressive solve rate, is now retired and serving as a consultant for Thames Valley cold cases. She and her team are assigned an unsolved case involving an older would be model who was murdered fifteen years ago. There is no known motive. Could it have been a family member, disgruntled business partner, a secret lover, or something to do with her modeling career?

I really like Hillary Greene and especially her wry humor. She lives on a long boat and drives a car nicknamed “Puff the Tragic Dragon.” She is a strong, capable leader and it is a pleasure following her as she solves her cases. This is a solid police procedural that is an engrossing, entertaining read.

Faith Martin and her Hillary Greene series is another one of my automatic reads. This is the twenty second installment but it can be read as a standalone

Another fantastic Former Detective Hillary Greene book! I’m such a fan of this series and have read every one. I’ll admit when the fabulous heroine retired from the force, I was afraid the story would end. I was so relieved when it didn’t. Having her take over as a civilian working on cold cases with her team was a brilliant idea. Mind you this is not the first case she’s solved as a civilian, but it’s just as good as the others. It’s set in a very (rare) hot summer and Faith Martin is brilliant at making you feel that heat. This book was full of twists and turns. I didn’t see the ending coming. Can’t wait to red the next one.

I was thrilled to see there was a new Hillary Greene book to read!

Murder Under the Sun is set in a summer heatwave, with Hillary and the cold case team looking into the murder of Imelda, a model, who died 15 years ago. Hillary has a fantastic solve rate so I wasn't surprised that eventually she pieced together the clues. Puff the VW and other familiar characters made an appearance which was appreciated.

I enjoyed reading this and hope there are many more Hillary books in the future!

This book was short and sweet but I throughly enjoyed it! It was full of suspense, doubt and it was highly addictive mixed with so many twists and turns that kept me gripped to my kindle!

There were many moments throughout the book where I thought I had got it right but I was so wrong I genuinely could never have predicted the outcome it was craaaaazy!
