Drive Me Crazy is a slow-burning but rewarding friends-to-lovers romance set against the thrilling backdrop of Formula 1 racing. Chloe’s determination as one of the first female F1 team principals is inspiring, and her chemistry with Matt—an ex-champion with a complicated past—feels genuine and well-developed. The racing scenes are detailed and exciting, showing the author’s clear passion for the sport.
The backstory was a little confusing at first and I like to see romance more at an earlier point in my books, but the character growth and supporting cast kept me hooked. If you like sports romance with strong leads and some spice, this one’s worth a read!
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC.

I am not an F1 girlie but the story description and cover caught my eye — and I was not disappointed! A great read that had me cheering for the heroine throughout and rooting for Arden racing with every page.
Overall I thought this was a great romantic comedy read written in a way that was easy to follow, fun to enjoy and a joy to review.

This book was absolutely delightful the tension the angst ugh it was so amazing. I can't wait to get my hands on a physical copy. I love the couple together so much

Drive Me Crazy is a fun, heartfelt romance set in the fast-paced world of Formula 1. Chloe, a determined team principal, and Matt, her estranged childhood crush and former champion driver, share great chemistry as they navigate their complicated past. The story blends humor, emotion, and strong character growth perfectly. A must-read for fans of enemies-to-lovers and sports romances!

I didn't end up finishing this before it expired on Netgalley. I made it to page 105 and it took me 2 weeks to get that far. It's pretty slow and I wasn't as into it as I thought I would be. I liked the FMC sometimes, didn't really like the MMC at all. It was really annoying that almost every paragraph talked about how gorgeous one of them thought the other was but oh no FMC can't think he's hot because he left her for the big leagues!! This just isn't for me. If they're going to do an enemies to lovers thing they have to actually be enemies and can't constantly think about how much they want the other person. I might give it another try when it releases but as the audio book so I can do other things while listening through the annoying/boring parts but as of right now, I won't be finishing it. Since I didn't finish it and I'm rating it less than 3 stars I will not be sharing my review elsewhere, I don't want to share bad press.

Drive Me Crazy had me laughing out loud and feeling the nerves in the pit of my stomach at every turn. Lizzy Dent serves both a lovable found family and a leading couple to root for. She meshes the thrill of the will-they, won't-they with equally nail-biting action on the Formula 1 circuit. Chloe - determined, intelligent, and finding her footing in the good ol' boys' club that is Formula 1 - had my heart immediately. I found myself zooming through Drive Me Crazy in full Grand Prix fashion. The sprinkling of wry humor and shenanigans only made it a more entertaining read. In very few situations are you sad to reach the checkered flag, but this was one of them: you won't want this season with Chloe, Matt, and Arden Racing to end!

ARC - 3/5⭐️ this one had me torn…I loved the concept of the F1 racing team and the romance, however it was definitely a little slow for me. I just wasn’t motivated to pick up this book and it took me forever to get through. It was cute and the racing scenes were exciting, but I just felt like it was a little drawn out. I wish the romance picked up a lot sooner than it did. The character development between Chloe and Matt was nice to see.
I just felt confused for a while about how Chloe and Matt knew each other and their mysterious past; I wished it explained sooner because I hate feeling confused while reading a book.
Still it was a nice read and I’d recommend it to anyone who likes romance and racing. Thank you to NetGalley for the ARC! 🩷🩷

From the title and synopsis of the book, this one caught my attention. It is a quick, cute, and entertaining read - even though I don't know anything about F1 racing. Reunited childhood friends who reconnected in an unwanted way actually becomes a rediscovering path of each main characters and their relationship. Good reminder that things happen for a reason and to let go of all planned expectations in life. Would recommend.
Thank you to NetGalley, the author, and the publisher for the opportunity to read this book as an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.

This was officially my first F1 romance book and it’s safe to say I’m so into it!
I love that the FMC was a woman in power and learned to really fend for herself and make her voice heard. The MMC was sweet, and he stood up for his girl when she needed it. We love a man that’s secure enough to know when to take a step back and let his girl defend herself instead of trying to play the hero!
It was a quick, fun read.
Overall, the plot was good, but I did feel like I needed a bit more drama to really hook me 😅

I know nothing about F1 racing but I didn't have any problems following along. It was cute though there wasn't a lot of depth. I liked that we got a glimpse into the future with the epilogue.

What a wild ride!
Loved Chloe and Matt.
Chloe is the lead Principle in F1 Arden racing.
Chloe has worked her whole life to get this job. She is blindsided by her team owner and he Springs a new driver Matt. her childhood friend.
Matt is pissed he has been traded from the #1 Rossi team but he has had his struggles.
Matt and Chloe are upset but together they make a pact to have Matt get his crap together, and Chloe run this team to better finishes. Chloe has faith in young driver Noah and Matt coaches him along.
Chloe has a great vision and gets an old analyst from Matt's old team to help make his car better.
Matt works hard and proves he isn't ready to retire yet.
Chloe is a strong character and Matt is her biggest fan.
In the end Matt shows what true dedication and the love of driving F1 and the love of his life can be great.
Chloe shows the world she does a remarkable job with her team and her # F1 driver.

When I saw the cover, I knew I needed this one. It did not disappoint. Fun story that kept me reading. Thanks for allowing me access to this one!

Drive Me Crazy by Lizzy Dent - 3 Stars
Drive Me Crazy is a fun, fast-paced second chance romance set against the exciting backdrop of Formula 1 racing. The banter between the main characters was a highlight, and I appreciated how Matt (the MMC) genuinely respected and supported Chloe (the FMC), especially in her efforts to protect her job and assert herself in a high pressure environment.
Chloe was a relatable protagonist, grappling with imposter syndrome and the challenges of stepping into a demanding new role while navigating evolving relationships. I did wish we got a bit more insight into her and Matt’s shared past as a deeper look at that history could have added emotional depth to their reunion.
Overall, this was a light, enjoyable read that kept me entertained throughout.
Thank you to Putnam Books and NetGalley for the ARC in exchange for my honest review.

This was a cute and quick read with the friends to not really enemies back to friends and then lovers trope. I enjoyed the love interests being old childhood friends that parted ways due to diverging career paths falling in love once they end up on the same F1 racing team. The pair dealt with some realistic (to me) trauma and fell in love after years of not speaking. I loved that the power dynamic put the FMC in the more powerful role. I also really enjoyed the lack of a big blowout third act breakup. This book was sweet and highlighted women in powerful positions.

This was my first book by Lizzy Dent but I found it so fun, she will be an immediate read for me!
Loved the backstory of Chloe and Matt, how strong and likable the FMC was and how the story unfolded! For sure ready to recommend this book to my book besties in 2026.
I knew next to nothing on F1 racing, but felt so immersed in it right away!
Thank you, Lizzy Dent and PutnamBooks for the ARC!

While I've heard wonderful things about this author and I'm eager to read more of her work, I personally had a difficult time getting into this particular book as a Formula 1 fan.
For me, some of the technical aspects of the sport felt inaccurate, and that was a consistent distraction that kept me from fully immersing myself in the story. However, I can see this being a very fun and accessible read for those who are new to the world of Formula 1 or aren't concerned with the finer details of the sport.

One of my favorite things is when I choose a fiction book and wind up learning all about a subject completely new to me- Drive Me Crazy is a fun romance read but it also taught me so much about F1 racing! Some of the romance plot felt a little contrived but overall it was cute and the setting felt very fresh and unique. I wish I could give half stars because while it wasn’t a perfect read for me, I’d grant 4 1/2 stars for originality.

What a fantastic idea. I loved this book about a formula one race driver and the team Principal. I don’t know much about racing but it was such a fun read. Matt and Chloe are old friends who have gone their separate ways due to Matt’s career that took off as a formula 1 driver. Chloe, also a fan of racing, has worked her way into a team principal position for a run down team on its last legs. Fates collide and Matt and Chloe end up on the same team. Sparks fly between the two, but it’s so much more. Definitely check this book out.

Loved this book! I have no knowledge of F1 but this book had me captivated. Matt and Chloe had me had me grinning and cheering. The childhood crush aspect also added to my love for them because that just so cute! Overall loved this book, definitely recommending to my reader friends.

As an avid reader and Formula 1 fan, I always search for my next fix as the breaks come around. I was so excited to see a workplace romance and F1 collide. Overall, it was an enjoyable read. Childhood friends coming back together on one of the world's biggest stages. I thought both characters were delightful, and it was fun to see real-life references to the sport. I can tell Liszt is a David fan and was meticulous when it came to incorporating F1. With that being said, I have two things with this book.
First, I noticed some errors when it came to positioning in the grid. Some of the placements for characters were incorrect and were switched. At one point, Noah was 18th on the grid (I think it was Austin), and in the next chapter, he was 16th. Additionally, I felt there was no real buildup to romance; it was kind of thrown in there. I wasn’t feeling the chemistry between the characters, and I felt as though the trials and separation weren’t I big deal. Overall, I felt the pacing and world-building were off. I would have liked a little more emotionality built into it, and having me feel for them.
