I know nothing about F1 Racing, but this novel made me want to check it out. I loved the descriptions of the race and it made me feel like I know things about race cars without overwhelming me with all the details. The love story was so sweet and I usually get frustrated with the secret romance trope, but this one had a very good reason for it and it played out so well!

I am a huge fan of sports romance, but this was my first Formula One romance. And I loved every second. Chloe and Matt grew up racing together, and Chloe always had a crush on him. In the present, Chloe has just been named team principal for an upstart racing team coming off a scandal when the team owner surprises her with a new driver- Matt. She is trying to prove herself, he’s trying to rehabilitate his image and recover from tragedy. Sparks fly but it’s complicated.
I loved this book because I love a good underdog story. I can’t speak to the accuracy of how formula one was portrayed, but my lack of knowledge of the sport didn’t keep me from enjoying the book. Overall it was a great book and I couldn’t put it down.

This was such a cute and fun F1 romance. While I read a lot of romance books, I've never ventured into sports romance or F1 romance before. However, this book has sold me and I'll definitely be reading more of this genre!
What I loved about this book was the strong female lead, childhood crush trope, and forbidden romance aspects! It was a quick, easy read that kept me entertained from start to finish.
My only complaint is that they're relationship felt a little rushed to me. I would have loved for it have been dragged out a bit more to build more tension!
Thank you to Putnam Books, author Lizzy Dent, and NetGally for an ARC in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts are my own.
A video review will be posted on my TikTok @alireadsanywhere closer to the release date!

**Thank you to NetGalley for the early access to this book!**
This was not a favorite for me. I struggled to maintain desire to keep going at every stopping point.
First, the spice felt forced and cringey. Like listening to teenagers talk about what they think sex is like. The scenes just felt thrown into the storyline to check off a box that they were there.
Second, I love a good f bomb. I don’t mind reading it at all and in fact feel like it can really beef up conversation and make a strong argument. This book used f*ck in the most random spots, like it caught me off guard almost every time… like what? It’s not that deep.
Third, we may need a bit more time in editing. Spelling and grammar errors in a book are immediately points off for me.
In the end, the story was ridiculously predictable. No twists, no unexpected drama.

First off, I knew nothing about racing at all when I started reading this book, and by the end of it, I was already looking up other Formula 1 romance books. For someone who had never read or had any prior knowledge of racing, the author wrote this in a way that showed how knowledgeable she was about the sport, but also made it very easy to follow and learn for someone like me. I loved it from the very first chapter!
The main characters both had great character developments throughout the book, and the supporting characters were well written and just as enjoyable. One of my favorite characters was the team owner, Barry. I just loved how he quit his family business of animal racing to get into cars instead, and made his pet dogs the logo of his F1 team!
The plot was fast paced and fun without rushing the romance. Overall, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this book to a friend, and I am definitely a Lizzy Dent fan now!

So, I just read "Drive Me Crazy" by Lizzy Dent, and it was pretty decent. It's an F1 romance, which is always cool if you're into that whole high-stakes racing world. The main character, Chloe, is one of the first female team principals, so she's trying to prove herself and turn her failing team around. Then, of course, they bring in this new, super skilled driver, Matt, who also happens to be her estranged childhood crush.
I thought the setup was interesting—they have to work together to save the team, and there's obviously a lot of unresolved history and chemistry between them. However, if you're a super big F1 fan and you're looking for extreme accuracy, you might notice some things that aren't quite right with how the sport works. It felt like the F1 aspect was more of a backdrop for the romance, rather than being super detailed or precise. It's got that classic workplace romance vibe with some forced proximity on the F1 circuit. If you like stories where people are dealing with past issues while also trying to succeed professionally, you'll probably find it engaging. It wasn't my absolute favorite book ever, it could definitely improve with the F1 aspect.

Such a cute read! The racing world is vividly brought to life, offering just enough technical detail to satisfy motorsport fans without overwhelming newcomers. The tension between professional ambition and personal feelings adds real emotional weight, and both characters are given satisfying arcs as they confront fears, past regrets, and the intense scrutiny of life in the spotlight.
While the plot occasionally veers into predictable territory and some secondary characters could have used more development, the dynamic between Chloe and Matt keeps the story engaging from start to finish. It’s not just about whether they’ll win races—it’s about whether they’ll let themselves win at love.
If you're a fan of enemies-to-lovers with a healthy dose of adrenaline and heart, this one is worth a spot on your shelf.

Am I now an F1 girlie?!
Thank you to NetGalley and Putnam Publishing for the opportunity to read an advanced reader copy of Drive Me Crazy by Lizzy Dent in exchange for an honest review.
This book made me realize that I could be an F1 girlie!!
I’ve never understood the whole F1 obsession, but this book CHANGED MY MIND.
I genuinely loved everything about it! Yes, it was fascinating to learn about the F1 world in a way that felt very factual but was also captivating, but the storyline and the romance was incredibly well-written, too.
The pace was great, I never felt like this book dragged and I was always annoyed when I had to pause my reading— if I could’ve read this book in one sitting, I would have!
The characters felt very authentic, I loved that we really learned about their personalities and their motives (the main characters AND side characters), rather than having surface-level characters. The main characters’ connection and their attraction made sense and was well flushed out, and I really enjoyed that!
I can’t stand insta-love or attractions that don’t make sense, but this book made all the sense. It was cute and sweet and a touch spicy, and I will genuinely recommend it to anyone and everyone!
Oh, and I actually cried happy tears towards the end. If that doesn’t equal 5 stars, I don’t know what does.

This book was super cute. The childhood friends to enemies to lovers storyline got me!
The story is that Chloe and Matt grew up together in the racing circuit because they shared a hometown. She'd always been in love with him and when he got signed to a formula 1 racing team, he left her and never connected with her again. After a terrible accident where his arrogance and overconfidence (and ultimately his selfishness) cost him a close friends relationship and left him with flashbacks on the track, he gets canned by his prestigious team and hired on by Chloe's new team without her knowledge. They start angry and ultimately become each others person again over time. She helps him work through his blocks and become the racer he IS and he helps her become more confident as a leader and president of the team (the first female to do that job!).
The hometown visit, the playfulness, the way Matt embraces his own vulnerabilities to really see Chloe...the way she doesn't choose the man over her career because she chooses both...it was so good! The chemistry was good...some of the physical things felt like they came fast and out of nowhere because the dialogue was "we shouldn't" that quickly turned into "we can't help it!" but I loved that they made it. They freaking made it and got the best of all the worlds, as it should be.

While I’m no professional about F1 racing this book has made me absolutely invested and will definitely need to start watching it! The author made you immediately feel like Chloe and Matt are meant to be together and waiting for their slow burn kept me rooting for them the whole book. There was just the right amount of a third act “break up” before they resolved everything and worked together to find what would work for their relationship. Overall such a cute book!

Loved to jump into the world of Formula 1 with Lizzy Dent's new book!
Chloe Coleman is the new team principle and her hot-shot driver, Matt Warners is her childhood crush.
The tension in this book is deliciously palpable and as a F1 fan, I loved the immersive world Drive Me Crazy builds. I had a lot of fun following Chloe as she navigates the politics and setbacks that are present in motorsports.
Overall, this was a very fun summer read I couldn't put down.
Spicy level (2 peppers).
Thank you to Net Galle and Putnam books for the e-ARC.

this book is an entertaining and fast-paced romance that does a great job of combining high-stakes Formula 1 action and a sweet childhood friends x lovers storyline. the book follows Chloe ( the fmc ) one of the first female F1 team principals, as she fights to lead her underdog team to a win. along the way, she reconnects with Matt ( her childhood friend & former racing champion ) who joins her team after recovering from a serious crash.
the chemistry between Chloe and Matt is heartfelt and engaging. i REALLY enjoyed the dual pov’s, they offer a nice balance between romance AND personal growth. the author definitely did her homework on Formula 1, making the racing backdrop feel authentic, immersive && easy for someone ( aka me ) who doesn’t know anything about Formula 1.
while the story was fun and filled with tension && a touch of spice, some parts felt A BIT predictable. still!! if you love sports romances AND strong female leads you will find plenty to enjoy here!!

I loved the idea of this books, and enjoyed parts, but overall did struggle with the story. I might come back to it, since it doest release for quite a while. But for now, it is just not something I see myself loving.

Sizzling chemistry, second-chance tension, and high-speed stakes—Drive Me Crazy is pure Formula 1 romance perfection. Chloe and Matt are fire together: smart, messy, and magnetic. Lizzy Dent delivers a story full of heart, heat, and horsepower. I laughed, swooned, and couldn’t put it down.

As an f1 fan I love the big insurgence of formula one romances. However this lost me because it felt like the author was just trying to name drop popular pieces of formula one. I prefer when the essence of formula one is involved but I don’t want to feel like it’s just a current pop culture name drop.
I had high hopes for this book due to the FMC but the actual plot of the book lost me.

Really enjoyed this one, great characters, a story that pulled me in, and writing that felt super easy to sink into. It was hard to put down and stuck with me after I finished.

Wow the pipeline from hockey romance to F1 romance is fast and hard I guess. Have I ever watched a single F1 race? No. Did I absolutely devour this book? Yes. Am I going to deep dive into every F1 romance ever written? Absolutely.
I really enjoyed this book and the banter between Chloe and Matt. I found Chloe a bit annoying to be honest. She didn't reach out to Matt either or go into his going away party...so she was a bit unsupportive and frankly bitter for her unrequited love and I didn't like that Matt let her get away with that unscathed. But all in all this was a fun entertaining read with a little spice.
I also felt like Chloe's best friend wasn't a good friend at all? Maybe that was just me but she also seemed rather unsupportive. Matt was so arrogant and funny with all his one liners and flirting. Barry was just a brute teddy bear trying his best. All in all a great read and I would recommend it for anyone who likes F1 or is trying to get into the F1 or sports romance genre!

The way I DEVOURED this book in two days is crazy. It was so fun to read this after watching the Monaco Quali!
What I liked: the characters. Chloe was competent and good at her job, which was refreshing to see in an FMC. The pacing was very well done, and everything flowed smoothly. The characters demonstrated substantial growth throughout the book, which I appreciate. If you're an F1 fan or a sports-romance fan, you'll certainly enjoy this book. It wasn't too jargon-heavy, so even if you know nothing about F1, I think you'll be able to pick up on everything.
What I didn't like: I wish everything had been fictionalized, as it was a bit jarring to read about this fictional team and then see the names of current drivers like Lewis Hamilton and Lando Norris, along with team names, appear. And then also having a couple of characters say, "What in the name of Senna/Hamilton," pulled me out of the story, but only for a moment--I was able to dive straight back in. There was one discrepancy I noted, which was in talking about the Singapore GP. In the book, it talks about the "gravel" on the track, but Singapore is a street race, so there is no gravel.
Huge thank you to NetGalley and Putnam Books for the e-ARC in exchange for an honest review!

This story centers around formula 1 racing. Chloe Coleman is forced to work with her childhood crush and newly acquired driver Matt Warner in order to save her entire failing team. As the competition heats up so does the relationship between the two. Lots of pressure mounting on Chloe in order to succeed as the first female team principal and her relationship with Matt. Sparks fly in this Romance but will they cross the finish line together?

I enjoyed this book. I've never read a Formula 1 book, so I learned all sorts of new things!
Loved the characters in this story and the very real struggle that they were both faced with..
The FMC is trying to make a name for herself with a failing team. She must find her stride quickly in order to be successful.
MMC is struggling after a serious crash involving his racing best friend and losing his ranking and support of fans.
Many hurdles are placed within this book, which makes it very interesting. The chemistry heats up quickly between the two childhood friends.
I enjoyed reading this one. However, it seemed a little rushed, and I wasn't totally pleased with the last 20 pages or so. I get why it went that way. Just personally, not my ideal way it would have gone. Totally personal opinion on that.

It’s been a while since I’ve read a F1 book and it’s so obvious Lizzy Dent knows what she’s talking about. I just wish the book had more eyes on it for continuity. I noticed skipping a lot of places and characters knowing/showing up at things they were never told, etc.
