Interestingly, a case of a missing housekeeper and her children from ten years ago resurfaces. When bodies are discovered in a wall in a home, FBI Special Agent Nikki Hunt is assigned to the case and determined to ensure that the remains belong to the family. If they are indeed the victims, Nikki is committed to delivering justice. However, Nikki’s attention is diverted when the local sheriff’s teen son, Taylor, goes missing.

With the cold case and with Taylor having gone missing, Nikki certainly has a lot going on. She soon becomes curious as to whether or not these two cases could be connected, as there is something specific about the bodies discovered while there is something she soon discovers while looking for Taylor.

This Nikki Hunt series has been thrilling from the very start and Little Child Gone is no exception. The way Stacy Green brilliantly weaves the past and the present together is exciting, and keeps the reader engaged from the very first page.

Many thanks to Bookouture and to NetGalley for this ARC for review. This is my honest opinion.

This series seems to be getting better with each new installment. I absolutely adore the main characters and their bond.
This is one of my favourite crime series. Nikki is just awesome.
The balance of her personal life and gritty investigation is done perfectly. I also love her team.
They work so well together.
This book started on the edge of your seat and ended on it. There was action throughout it all.
This read had me flipping through the pages so fast so I could find out what happened next. It kept me on my toes the entire time.

This is the best series I've read. The best thriller series. I'm so glad there will be more Nikki Hunt books. This author knows how to pull you in and keep you turning the pages. Holding your interest and making you feel like you are there. Stacy Green is one fantastic thriller/mystery writer.

In this, book #10, Nikki Hunt has a couple of cases going. One a cold case. Two bodies found in a boarded up apartment in a house. The other a boy is missing. Actually there are a couple of boys missing around the same age.

Ms Smith and her three children move in with Karl Hendrickson. Not in a romantic way but to work. To help him and have a safe place to live. Karl cared deeply for Ms Smith. Like the daughter he always wanted he said. He had a daughter but she was a bit cruel. She didn't care about anyone else and hated Ms Smith and her children. She accused them of sponging off her father and stealing from him. She said they were using him to get money. Karl told his daughter to leave and never return.

When Christy and Jared's son goes missing Nikki wonders if it's possibly related to two other freshman boys who went missing. One was found washed up on the creek bed but the other was still missing. Taylor was mad at his mom and she figured that was the reason he didn't come home. Until she finds out he never showed for work. And he never contacted anyone.

There is a whole lot going on in this book but I promise it's easy to follow. You hear all about each family. Both the cold case and the newly missing boy. Nikki and her team work hard to find out who the bodies in the closet are and who took Taylor. Or if Taylor ran away. She investigates all the involved parties and uncovers a few things that these people didn't want her to know about. Or anyone to know about.

This author always writes books that keep you guessing but rarely will you figure out who did what and why. At least with this one I didn't. The descriptions are so well done and the edge of your seat thrills are perfection. Stacy Green always produces the best thriller books.

Thank you to the publisher for this ARC.

Yes!!! Nikki Hunt is Back!!!

Little Child Gone by Stacy Green is the 10th book in the excellent Nikki Hunt series and what an excellent book this was. Hang on all these books within this series has been a 5 star read and this one was no different! I loved it.
It was a twisty and gripping mystery thriller that will have you hooked from the beginning till the very end!
This series ahs been one of the best out there to read and a great series to get your teeth into especially if you are on holiday, a great way to follow a great character especially as she is a woman!!!! Yes!

Big Thank you to NetGalley and Bookouture for my ARC.

I was immediately drawn into this story. I like that this was technically a cold case, but was connected to a current case that Nikki’s department was involved in. Even though there was a big of animosity among the local law enforcement and the FBI (I assume that happens far too often in real life), Nikki still had a huge impact on the cases.

Nikki is a compassionate FBI agent. I like that Stacy makes her so relatable. She’s a single working mother, with a boyfriend and an ex, all the things that make her more than simply her job.

This is my first Nikki Hunt book, and I definitely want to go back and read the others in this series. My love for female law enforcement officers continues to expand.

Thank you NetGalley and Bookouture for my copy of this book.

Stacy Green is still hitting it out of the ballpark with Little Child Gone, the 10th book in her thrilling and gripping Nikki Hunt series!!!!!! Woohoo! The thrilling and shocking prologue had me glued to the pages! That not only piqued my interest but had my heart pounding right away! Talk about an opener! I had to, not I needed to know more. Stacy Green delivered and then some! Wowza, what a book!

This book starts off strongly and never lets up as Special Agent Nikki Hunt is called to a home with a hidden room and the bones of two people have just been found!!!!! Nikki can't help but wonder if the bones belong to a housekeeper and her children who went missing from the home ten years earlier. Then she receives a frantic phone call from a local sheriff informing her that Taylor Hall, a fourteen-year-old has gone missing from his family's home!

Whew! Nikki has a lot on her plate in this book as she investigates the current case and wonders if it could in any way be connected to the cold case she is also investigating. This book had me turning the pages at warp speed. I was fully invested in the mystery and the investigative work. As with the other books in the series, I enjoyed getting glimpses into Nikki's private life as well which I always love. It has been wonderful reading the character development of Nikki, her daughter and those in their lives over the course of this series. I enjoy how the author balances Nikki's home and professional lives.

As with the other books in this series, Little Child Gone is brimming with tension, dread, suspense, and danger. It also has a nice number of twists and turns as well. Although this book is the 10th book in the series, it can easily be read as a stand-alone. Having said that, this is such a fantastic series that I recommend picking it up and reading it from the very beginning!

Wonderfully written, well thought out, perfectly plotted and mysterious!!!!!

Highly recommend!

Fast-Paced, Twisty, and Utterly Addictive
This edge-of-your-seat story in the Nikki Hunt series takes off from page one and never looks back.
The pace is relentless, packed with unexpected twists that keep you hooked as secrets unravel and deception falls apart, all leading to a finale that’s both shocking and deeply satisfying. A riveting, can’t-put-it-down read and a standout addition to this gripping series.

I jump on this tour every time that Green has a new book out in the series and say the same thing every time - I love these books and characters!!

This is another gripping book with a brilliant investigation. With two crimes being explored alongside each other - one in the present and one in the past - it's obvious that there will be a link somewhere along the lines, but I definitely couldn't predict which way it was heading! It certainly kept me guessing throughout!

Most of all, I just love these characters. There wasn't as much character development as there usually is in this one, but I'm glad her family were able to have a bit of a break as she gets on with work for a change.

I've said it many times but I'll say it again, if you haven't started this series yet, get on it!!

Little Child Gone is the tenth Nikki Hunt Book but still oh so good. By Stacy Green Nikki is married, her daughter happy and family is all around her. Such a sharp contrast to other families that are at the center of this mystery. Powerful story telling that keeps the reader engaged and page-turning. The Prologue seems so distant from the found bodies, then the missing boy but all these come to be woven intricately together.

Little Child Gone is an outstanding suspenseful FBI story which had twists and turns that I never saw coming. Highly recommend Little Child Gone and the entire Nikki Hunt series.

FBI agent Nikki Hunt is back with the 10th book in the series, Little Child Gone.
Besides the prologue, which was great, I found that the book started slow until around a third of the way in, then it picked up substantially, and I loved it.

I enjoyed the storyline with Nikki working on a case that could be years old, as well as a current case of a missing boy. The twists were brilliant as always, and I love how Nikki and her team work through the case to get answers and eventually solving the case. I felt like I was reading a script from Criminal Minds.

Stacy Green is a fantastic author, she has me completely invested in Nikki Hunt, and I hope there will be another addition to the series.

FBI Special Agent Nikki Hunt is pulled in two directions in this story. First, she gets called when some human remains are found in a closet. Then she gets a call to help when a 14 year-old boy goes missing. While reading this story, I felt like I should have been keeping notes in a little notebook to keep the facts straight - much as a law enforcement officer would do. I loved how there were these two storylines and the two cases were worked simultaneously. There were many interesting and varied characters, plot twists, suspense, and danger. I can't wait to see what is in store next for Nikki.

Thank you to NetGalley, Bookouture and the author for the opportunity to read this book for my honest review. All opinions expressed are my own.

Special Agent Nikki Hunt is called to the scene where bones have been discovered in a home that is being renovated. There are toys scattered around, and a trunk that is padlocked looks deeply suspicious. She is intrigued and also a little sad as she thinks about the child who played with those toys. While she is at the house, she receives a call from the sheriff that a 14 year old boy (Taylor Hall) is missing. Needless to the say this case will have to take precedence as she hopes to be able to bring Taylor home to his family. But there is something about those bones that is nagging at Nikki's brain. She is determined to find answers to both mysteries.

As they dig into the Hall family, there is also something in that house that is just not quite right. Everything is just too perfect. My antenna went up immediately. There were many puzzle pieces with more than one case going on at one time, but the author keeps the story on task so that you don't lose where this one is headed. Something horrible happened in the past on that farm, but there is also something sinister going on now.

This wonderfully penned mystery will keep you on your toes as everything comes to a head with twists that I did not see coming. There was a good mix of suspense, intrigue, secrets and deceit to keep you wondering just exactly what is going on in this small town. I love the character of Nikki Hunt. There is one particular instance when she puts a local attorney in her place, and I wanted to cheer. She is fiery, laser-focused and always ready to take on the bad guys. She is definitely someone you want in your corner.

Thank you to Bookouture and NetGalley for this ARC. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

FBI Special Agent Nikki Hunt has a lot on her plate and takes us with her as she is called upon when a body is found boarded up. There are a lot of moving parts in every Nikki Hunt novel that take you on a twisty thrill ride. Blended family, missing children and more. Two horrific topics that occur daily were dealt with gently off the page, spousal abuse and pedophile. I did get a little lost with all the different names as they intertwined, but that's on me. I highly recommend this series to anyone who likes law enforcement that is about people who care and happenings that in reality take place all over the world and we read as fiction. Thank you for the advanced copy. I freely share my honest thoughts and opinions. # LittleChildGone #NikkiHunt #StaceyGreen #Bookouture #NetGalley

Nikki Hunt is one of my favorite female characters. Strong and feisty and always looking for the truth, someone who takes on the darkest of evil to help bring justice for the innocent and to stop monsters in their tracks; Always a clock ticking ride as you fly through the pages. Could an unsolved mystery of the past be a clue to her newest case involving a missing child? You will not want to put this book down as the twists in her case unravel a dangerous predator.
You have done it again Stacy Green! An awesome un-putdownable edge-of-your-seat ride!

Another great read in this excellent series. It’s all about the main plot this time when a friend of Nikki’s finds human remains in a house he has just bought. An engrossing twisty turny tale then unravels. Meanwhile two other cases simmer along and suddenly links are made, secrets uncovered and a legacy of abuse uncovered.
There is not much development in the subplot this time, but that said it’s lovely to catch up with the cast of characters that have come to feel like friends.

Another intense case for Nikki Hunt!
A reno job unearths two skeletons and some teenage boys’ disappearances have gone unsolved.
Nikki tries to find clues to connect the cases but her investigations is slow going.
I kept asking where is that kid and I suspected many things were off about a certain family but one thing I was afraid happened fortunately did not.
It’s a tense read and as always the writing is superb!

4.5 stars

Little Child Gone by Stacy Green is the 10th in the FBI Agent Nikki Hunt series, and looks at the case of a missing 14-year old boy, as well as a cold case.

First, let me thank NetGalley, the publisher Bookouture, and of course the author, for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

Series Background:    (Contains spoilers from previous books)
Nikki Hunt is an FBI Agent whose parents were murdered when she was young.  Their real killer is now behind bars, after she helped free Mark Todd (who she originally helped incarcerate). She now lives with his brother Rory, and family dynamics are settling down. She has a young daughter (Lacey), and her ex-husband (Tyler) was murdered by a serial killer (Frost) who is also now behind bars, and is apparently Nikki's half-brother.  Nikki heads the BAU unit based out of St. Paul Minnesota.  Her team consists of Crime Scene Analyst Courtney Hart and Agent Liam Wilson.  They work closely with Sheriff Kent Miller.  She has a new boss, Henry Garcia...and the verdict is still out.

My Synopsis:    (No major reveals, but if concerned, skip to My Opinions)
The remains of a woman and child are found in an abandoned farmhouse when the new owner decides to renovate.  Lye had been used, so there isn't much left to identify them, but Nikki has some time, and wants to find out what happened.  Apparently the housekeeper and her three children disappeared from the farmhouse one night, and were never seen again.  If so, where are the other two children?

But Nikki and the team get side-tracked when 14-year old Taylor Hall goes missing.  Jared, his father, is sure he just ran away again, because he's not getting along with his mother.  But Taylor's mother Christy is beside herself with guilt and anxiety.  The other children, Amelia, Caden and Penny are just worried, and swear Taylor would not leave them behind.   Although Taylor is not Jared's,  he really looked up to his new father, blaming his mom for all the problems.  Whispers about Christy's drinking habits have reached far and wide, and the perfectly groomed children and beautiful home puts doubts in Nikki's mind.  There are secrets in this household.

There is already another child missing in the area, and the team wonders if there is a connection.

When Nikki finds a note in Taylor's locker that seems to tie-back to the old farmhouse, the investigation takes another turn

My Opinions:
This was a really good addition to the series.  Nikki Hunt is a wonderful character.  Her compassion, empathy, and determination to find the truth once again shines through. Liam and Courtney also have the same characteristics, so they make a good team.  I love Sheriff Miller.

I like how the story went back and forth between the housekeeper's story, and the Hall family.  This worked very well to keep us a little better informed.

The story looked at physical, mental, and emotional abuse of both adults and children.  Manipulation was a key factor.   This is a complex tale, with a lot of characters, as the story involves three different cases being investigated  The plot, although somewhat predictable, had a number of twists.  There was one twist right at the end that I did not see coming.

This book is fast-paced, and action packed.  So, pay attention!

Definitely recommend this series....and do yourself a favour, read them in order!

I’ve really enjoyed the Nikki Hunt series overall, and Nikki and her team remain a big part of why I keep coming back. Their dynamic and dedication always draw me in, and this book continues to build on that strength.

That said, this wasn’t my favorite in the series. The plot—missing children, dark family secrets, an old case resurfacing—felt a bit too familiar. It’s a compelling premise, but lately, I’ve read several thrillers with similar setups, and this one didn’t manage to bring quite enough freshness or surprise to stand out. Maybe it’s just timing, but I didn’t feel as gripped as I usually do with Nikki’s investigations.

That said, fans of the series will still find plenty to enjoy here, especially in the character moments and the emotional undercurrents. It’s a solid addition, and it is well worth a read!

Wow book 10 already with Special Agent Nikki Hunt, Nickki is juggling motherhood & missing teens, when she gets a call of two bodies found in a recently purchased farm house that has been abandoned for years, The bodies have been their for a number of years and now she has a cold case to deal with as well. Stacy Green does a great job at keeping the tension & pace up to a satisfying end, I look forward to the next instalment.
