This was my first Nikki Hunt book and I was sceptical seeing as though it was the 10th book, but Stacy Green does an excellent job of letting you know about the main cast in a way that won't be too repetitive for people who have read all the boks, but gives enough information so if you missed the rest, you aren't completely lost.

I will definitely be going back and reading the previous books though as this book was amazing. It was suspenseful and twisty and extremely well written.

Holy crap!!! This is my first book by this (amazing) author as well as my first Nikki Hunt book. I was hooked from page one until the very last.

Nikki Hunt is an FBI agent working missing children's cases, expecting to find a serial kidnapper. Meanwhile, a friend found remains in a house he just bought. Is the timing a coincidence? Or are all the cases connected?

Nikki and her team work through many twists and turns before reaching the emotional conclusion.

Please note this is book 10, and while I was able to follow it, it referenced several past cases that I now HAVE to go back and read from the beginning.

It was an honor to read this advanced copy and I will be devouring the earlier books, and any future ones!!!

Matt is renovating his house. As he and his partner are demoing the attached apartment they come upon a skeleton! Matt immediately calls his from FBI agent Nikki Hunt to investigate. This is clearly a cold case, Nikki's favorite kind but Nikki also has her hands full with two other missing teenage boys. Could these case possibly be related? Only Nikki can find out! Great book! Exciting ending! Lots of twists!

The tenth installment in the Nikki Hunt series starts off with a slow burn, but quickly builds momentum—and once it does, you won’t be able to put it down.
Stacy Green masterfully weaves together past and present mysteries, layered with unexpected twists that keep you guessing. As similarities emerge between old and new cases, the suspense intensifies: are these events truly connected?

This is a well-written, suspenseful thriller that showcases Green’s talent for crafting gripping psychological drama.

I’ve been a fan of Stacy Green ever since I read Delta Crossroads Trilogy and the Lucy Kendall books. Now, I’m hooked on Nikki Hunt. I’ve just finished Ms. Green’s newest thriller, Little Child Gone. Hunt is a fictional FBI Agent who operates practically in my backyard; that is to say, about 90 minutes north of me. In actuality, the FBI does not operate in Stillwater, Minnesota. Their main office is 25 miles away in Minneapolis, but they do have a satellite office in the Stillwater area. So much for facts. On to the book!

Nikki is celebrating daughter Lacey’s birthday when she gets a call from a man who’s renovating an old home nearby and has made an unsettling discovery. Bones behind a closet door. A housekeeper and her children had disappeared a decade previously. What if…She’s barely arrived at the office the next day when a call comes in about a missing teenage boy. With one boy already missing, the fear is that this could be related. She talks to the parents and learns that their son never showed up for his after-school job the previous afternoon. Further interviews reveal, however, that the mother may have some “issues.” Indeed, some things don’t quite add up.

Then there are some discoveries about Taylor, things in his tidy bedroom compared to his school locker that raise Nikki’s eyebrows and cause her to wonder what’s really going on with that blended family which, on the outside, may seem too good to be true.

Then there’s the whole deal about the old man who had owned the farm property. He’d had a contentious relationship with his daughter, as did most other folks, Nikki included. In fact, the father was so fed up with the daughter that he cut her out of his will and named a replacement…but where is that person now? Alive? Or dead?

And is there a connection between the bodies in the farmhouse and the missing teenager? This was one wild ride!

I received an advance copy of Little Child Gone as an ARC. Thanks to NetGalley, Bookouture, and Stacy Green. My thoughts and opinions are my own.

Plot: Nikki Hunt is a fabulous in her field FBI agent who has been called to the scene of two suspicious dead bodies. There are twists. There are turns and there is an ending that blew me away. If you like mystery, clues, dark secrets, and playing the detective yourself, you will really enjoy this book.

Nikki is a great character full of grit and grind and it is portrayed beautifully in this read. You can't help but be drawn to her.

This book was a ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ read for me and I really enjoyed the layout, the flow, and twists and turns along the way! I have not read the other books in the Nikki Hunt series, but this is most definitely a stand-alone read as well, so that was not an issue at all for me. I will be going back though and reading the other books as I enjoyed this one so much. I can't wait!!!

Thank you #NetGalley and the publisher for providing me with an advanced review copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

These are always such quick reads with good plot and pacing. Nikki had a couple more annoying comments than usual and her superiority gets irritating. The team wasn’t in it as much. The one part is toeing the line on being too connected.

Wow, this was my first experience with this author and series but it certainly won’t be my last! I was up until 4am because I simply could NOT put this one down until I was finished

Nikki Hunt is a very likable character, an FBI agent called to investigate two decomposed bodies found in a boarded up apartment. The story takes hold within the first pages and never lets go.

Even with multiple character and story arcs (ex: a cold case and an active missing persons case being investigated simultaneously), the book is easy to read and follow. The story kept me guessing until the very end, with so many twists and turns I couldn’t put my finger on exactly who did what. But not in a frustrating or confused way….more of an intriguing “how does this crazy puzzle fit together??” way!

I can’t wait to read more about Nikki in the previous 9 books!

I have always enjoyed this series and this one was really good. What made it good for me was the case. It kept me interested. I can’t wait to read the next one.

By Stacy Green

Thank you to netgalley for this arc. I am so grateful I got to read this book before the publishing date! I’ve read this entire series from the beginning! I’ve been so excited for this one for months now! I’m a big fan of Stacy Green and the Nikki Hunt series. This was a page turner and a hard to put down book for me. There’s always twists and turns and this book takes you on quite the roller coaster ride. I did not see some of those twists and turns coming! I love when it is hard to guess what is going to happen next! If you love thrillers, I highly recommend this book and the rest of the Nikki Hunt series.

Nikki is back in her game with #10. When two remains are found in an abandoned house and missing kids, she has her hands full. So we’re following Nikki as she tries to solve a cold case and trying to find a missing teen boy. Nothing is as it seems in this case. I liked that this was just go from the start. This never had a dull moment. Highly enjoyed this one.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Stacy Green has once again delivered a jaw-dropping, edge-of-your-seat thriller with Little Child Gone, the latest installment in the Nikki Hunt series. From the very first page, the tension is palpable, and I couldn’t put the book down until the final shocking twist.

The story begins with Special Agent Nikki Hunt investigating a chilling discovery in an abandoned farmhouse—a hidden room, a dark stain, and the remains of what appears to be two children. The connection to a ten-year-old disappearance only deepens the mystery, but just as Nikki begins to uncover the truth, she’s pulled into another case: the disappearance of fourteen-year-old Taylor Hall.

What follows is a brilliantly crafted narrative that intertwines past and present secrets, with Nikki at the heart of it all. The complexities of the Hall family’s hidden lives, the eerie connection between Taylor’s disappearance and the long-forgotten tragedy at the farmhouse, and the relentless pursuit of justice make this book an absolute page-turner. Green’s writing is sharp, atmospheric, and filled with just the right amount of suspense. The twists are unpredictable, and each clue Nikki uncovers sends her—and the reader—down a new, thrilling path.

Nikki Hunt is one of the most compelling characters in modern crime thrillers. Her determination, grit, and empathy shine through, especially as she digs deeper into a case that threatens to unravel everything she thought she knew about her own work. The relationships she navigates—both with her team and those she encounters—feel real and grounded, making the stakes feel all the more personal.

With impeccable pacing and a storyline that grabs hold and never lets go, Little Child Gone is a must-read for fans of tense, emotional, and suspenseful thrillers. Stacy Green has outdone herself, and this book is a perfect example of why the Nikki Hunt series is so addictive. Be prepared for a rollercoaster ride of twists, turns, and heart-stopping moments. Highly recommend!

Yet another jewel from Ms. Green.
Before you even start this book, make sure to fasten your seat belt, and make sure it's snug cuz you're gonna be in for one helluva ride!
Nikki and friends are trying to figure out why some teenage males are disappearing close to her town, and one more has just vanished. The farther Nikki gets into this puzzle, the more confusing it becomes. With every win there's a loss. With every piece added to the puzzle, the bigger the puzzle gets.
Get this book and get one for all of your friends, too! It will be well worth your time>

Nikki Hunt book #10 and still going strong!

I feel very lucky to have discovered a brilliant author such as Stacey Green from being a part of NetGalley. She’s such a hardworking author, pumping out multiple books a year - all brilliant in their own right - and yet she is still what I would call ‘undiscovered’. The world of crime fiction is a busy one, and with writers from other genres trying their hand in it, it’s a talent if you manage to stand out. For my Stacey Green is a stand out and she deserves a lot more air time and presence than I think she receives in the UK.

This latest book was brilliant. Stacey jumps straight in and from the first chapter it’s hard not to be hooked. If you’ve not read Nikki Hunt before don’t be out off that it is book 10. Each book can be read independently and still enjoyed. And enjoy it, you will!

Thanks to NetGalley for my advance copy in exchange for my honest review.

First, I need to clarify that this is the first book I’ve read by this author. It’s clear immediately that these are recurring characters in a series. Perhaps if I’d read the other books first, certain things wouldn’t have seemed so overwhelming/confusing at the onset. We are hit with a lot of character names and their relationships right off the bat. Some relationships related to the case went back generations, then of course all of the recurring characters all within the couple of chapters. I found myself more focused on trying to keep them straight or even grasp the exact relationships instead of focusing on plot. I understand knowing who everyone are is necessary, I just would have preferred it spread out a bit more. But that’s just me.

However, once I got to the fourth or fifth chapter, I was hooked. Green did an excellent job of weaving everything together and trusting the reader, not giving away too much too fast. I really enjoyed the story, and felt so much empathy for several of the characters. It’s a fact that many abusers are excellent at wearing two different faces, and know just how to pick their victims. Green did such a good job creating a very believable cast of characters…with just enough red herrings thrown in that the reader isn’t sure what’s really going on until the end.

I’ll definitely be reading more books by this author.
5⭐️.

Another great Nikki Hunt thriller and it certainly didn’t disappoint. Enjoyable from the first to last page. Plenty of twists and turns to keep me enthralled. Well rounded characters and very well written. Look forward to her next offering. Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the chance to review it.

This is the 10th book in the Nikki Hunt series. I love this series! Being honest, I have to say this was my least favorite of them all. I didn't really connect to any of the characters. I wasn't crazy with the flow of the story from past to present. Parts of it felt jumbled and I found myself having to go back and reread sections. For me, this one just okay.

Than you #netgalley and #bookouture for the eARC.
