Full disclosure...This is my first Lexi Blake book so clearly I missed reading the earlier books in the series. I thought this was a fun read. I am assuming from what I read, if you loved Blake's previous books then you will devour this one as well.

Love some grumpy/witty banter. Interesting family dynamics...dont you just love a protective MMC...I do.

You can NOT go wrong with this read--I will absolutely be reading the previous books in this series now.

Grab this book immediately and then go knock a wall down in your house.

Excellent Narration...might I suggest an immersive read.

Thank you to GetRedPR for allowing me to read and review.

These two are wild together. The heat, the banter, the explosion all add up to a very feisty couple. Harper and Reid will entertain you, surprise you, and bring on all the tender feelings as you learn their backstories and the secrets and pain they carry. The audiobook is a fabulous way to enjoy this novel. This series of three friends making their way in Manhattan has become a favorite and I've grown to love these characters and their love interests. I can only hope there are more stories to come.

This series has been an absolute delight, and I'm wondering if this is the end. Regardless, it was a fantastic read, and I've grown to adore these friends. Despite their diverse paths, their unwavering love and support for each other are truly heartwarming.

This is Harper’s story, a tale of construction and romance. She's given the opportunity to renovate the house of her dreams for her friend's new production company, but there's a catch - she has to work with the Dorsey brothers’ design team, especially Reid Dorsey. Their dynamic is like oil and water, sparking a tension that's impossible to ignore.

There's plenty of fun to be had in this story; the banter between Harper and Reid is sassy, and the sexual tension is palpable. Yet, beneath the surface, there's a wealth of emotion and depth that Lexi has masterfully woven into the narrative. Both Harper and Reid are grappling with family issues, there's a meddling ex, and some heavy secrets. These things could either tear them apart or bring them closer, but Harper’s friends are there every step of the way.

🎧 Kitty Bang does a great job with the narration, making it a delight to listen to. I flew through this audiobook in a day.

This is the third book in the Park Avenue Promise series, and I will definitely be going back to read Ivy & Anika's books after this one! I always enjoy reading stories of fierce female friendships. I enjoyed the setup for Harper & Reid's meeting, which led to all of the banter and snark between them (at first).

Harper is a woman working in a male-dominated field. Harper's family was so toxic - I got angry several times while reading. I love how Reid is not afraid to stand up to them for her, which taught Harper to advocate for herself by the end of the story.

Were parts of this story unrealistic? Yes. Did I still also eat it up because this is a fun rom-com? Also yes.

Audibook Length: 11h 30m
Narrator: Kitty Bang

Kitty Bang did an excellent job with the narration. She was able to bring out both the humor and the emotion in the story, as well as differentiating her voice between multiple male and female characters. This was a quick listen for me and I read it in two days!

Thank you to Blue Box Press, GetRed PR, & Brilliance Audio for providing me with copies of this book. This review is voluntary, and all opinions expressed are my own.

What an incredible way to wrap up the series! Harper and Reid were absolutely perfect together—everything about their connection just felt right. I flew through this book because I literally couldn’t put it down. The pacing, the emotion, the tension—it all kept me hooked from beginning to end.
I especially loved how this final installment brought everything full circle. The ending was so moving, I found myself in tears—in the best way possible. It was a beautiful conclusion that tied all three books together perfectly.
If you’ve been following the series, this finale will hit all the right emotional notes. So satisfying and heartfelt. Highly recommend! 💙💜

This was my first foray into this series but it didn't diminish my ability to enjoy this story. Fun characters, crazy chemistry between Harper and Reid, truths revealed, family drama - I'm listening to the story for the second time and enjoying it just as much. The narrators did a fabulous job bringing the story to life.

Grumpy meets Grumpy but with a whole lot of attraction. This fun story is the 3rd book in the series that follows a group of besties who are more than just friends… they are sisters and will have each others back no matter what. Reid and Harper are two grumpy people with so much family baggage and responsibility. Reid is a celebrity home interior designer and Harper is the CEO of her family's construction company. When Reid makes a bad first impression, Harper is ready to cut him off. They have to work together on a big project and be civil with each other until one night Reid loses the fight and makes the first move. Ever since that night the two have been by each other's side and have leaned on each other. Together they learn to let go of all their baggage with the support of their friends.

I'll be honest, I was teetering between a 3 and a 4 star rating for this book; I ultimately decided to round it down because I don't think it is as memorable as I wanted it to be. I don't want to give too much away, so I'll just say this: I am so proud of Harper and the choices she makes at the end of the book! I was worried she wouldn't get there, but it was so satisfying to see everything happen the way it did. The writing in this book was great and I really felt connected to the characters, even the less likeable ones. I don't think I've ever disliked a fictional character as much as I disliked Harper's mother, and the rest of her family wasn't much better. I know what it's like to deal with toxic family members and how difficult it can be when you love them, but you need to set boundaries for yourself. I also greatly appreciated seeing a male main character take joy in things that society tends to view as more feminine (like knitting and interior design). Reid was a total dreamboat all-around and I loved the way he stood up for Harper against not only her family, but Britta too. This was a very cute love story and I'd be glad to read the rest in the series. As for narration, Kitty Bang did a fantastic job! She performs accents and emotions so well! Zero complaints there, this was a blast to listen to.

Built to Last by Lexi Blake was a sweet & snarky romcom! Harper Ross strives to restore the beauty of classic NYC architecture while adding practical updates. Reid Dorsey takes more of a new & shiny, modern beauty approach to his designs. When they’re thrown together on a mutually beneficial project, the fire and ice dynamic may just destroy their chance at a new career. The brash & sassy contractor beauty and the suave & arrogant designer made a deliciously combative pair. Built to Last caps off a lovely trilogy about three childhood friends who always put each other first and built a beautiful community for themselves! This fiery and heartfelt love story explored family dynamics, women struggling & striving in a male-dominated workplace, and healing past traumas.

Kitty Bang did a wonderful job bringing Lexi’s romcom off the page. Her performance brought the delightfully relatable Harper and Reid to life perfectly. I enjoyed her character choices and story tone. This opposites-attract, charming, slow-burn romance was a fun and flirty listen!

I enjoyed the first two book in this interconnected triology. I was excited to jump back in. I absolutely adore this trio of besties who refer to themselves as sisters. Their connection and support of each other created the perfect found family - especially with the drama with the main FMC’s family. Each book in the series is about a different friend and are written as standalones.

Enemies forced to work together for a fixer upper reality show, a strong found family, messy family conflicts, and an unexpected twist! This was a fun rom-com! Like most rom-coms, it slowly builds…and then suddenly, you can’t put it down. The banter is fun, the spice is there, and the characters are complex.

The narrator was easy to listen to and brought the story to life.

The cover, the title, and the tropes really drew me in when it came to Lexi Blake’s Built to Last. I have never read an enemies-to-lovers book that has to do with construction and the renovation of a building. This was such a novel idea, and I could not wait to read this book.

I was able to listen to the audio book via a gifted ALC, and the narrator Kitty Bang did a wonderful job bringing the characters to life. It is not an easy task to be the sole narrator for a book with several characters, but Kitty Bang did really well. She kept me engaged and I was able to differentiate between the different characters.

As far as the plot, having not read the other books in the series, I was still able to enjoy Built to Last. I thought it was a lighthearted read; it was very cute, had some spice and a little mystery and lots of romance (though it was a bit of a slow burn).

I just want to say props for having the FMC be involved in the construction business. I just love a strong FMC and Harper sure fits the bill. Reid and Harper’s banter, and both of them being grumpy was kind of new to me but they sure were able to keep me entertained and reading and laughing. I also thought they had great/fiery chemistry. I also really enjoyed the side plots and side characters in the story.

Overall, this was a great read, and I cant wait to go back and read the other books in the series.

Built to last by Lexi Blake

I absolutely enjoyed this story to the fullest. But I do deeply recommend if you are going to read or listen to this story, to do it from the first book. Although, I enjoyed it. I feel like I missed out on a lot with the first two couples. Regardless, I do recommend this story and better yet, if you have already read or listen to the first two stories. Kitty Bang did a wonderful job narrating this story.

Story Vibes:
Harper is a strong willed woman running a business and it's the best story vibes! Loved loved loved it! Then you get the grumpy/grumpy, enemies to lovers vibes when Reid enters the story. Two of my favorite tropes in one!

Audiobook Vibes:
𝐾𝑖𝑡𝑡𝑦 𝐵𝑎𝑛𝑔 is not a new to me narrator, but it's been a hot second since I listened to her narrate a story. But, I'm so glad she was narrating this one! She brought out all the banter, the women empowering women vibes and all the chemistry that was between Reid & Harper. She was an amazing choice for narrating!

Overall Vibes:
I am definitely recommending this one. The "meet cute" between Harper & Reid turns into a "hate cute" pretty quickly, and the fun begins. Their angry banter and chemistry is off the charts captivating and I loved every second! 𝙻𝚎𝚡𝚒 𝙱𝚕𝚊𝚔𝚎 chisels her characters in the best way, making them feel more like friends than just characters. This one is a keeper for sure!

We finally get Harper's story in the third book of this series. Harper comes off as tough as nails. She runs a construction company and works herself raged trying to fix her family's company. Her family doesn't appreciate her and her friends are her real family. When her best friend Annica marries the king and they get the chance to renovate a NY mansion that means so much for the girls, Harper takes time off of work to lead the construction. Her first meeting with Reid doesn't go well. These two have a pretty good love/hate relationship going on.

Reid Dorsey comes off a little conceited at first until you get to see the man behind the curtain. He is a fiercely loyal and protective person. Watching him and Harper fall for one another brought a smile to my face. Watching Harper open herself up and become Reid's protector brought me so much joy.

Harper and Reid are both broken people who haven't had a great family life. Their friends are their family they have made and they recognize that in one another. I loved watching these two let their walls down and learn to love someone else as they let them in.

I loved this story in the series and I'd love to see these girls come back! Maybe a couples book :)

I listened to the audiobook and the narrators did a great job. They really did a great job telling the story and bringing in the emotion to the characters. Loved it!

This audiobook was so fun to listen to! I loved the enemies to lovers trope and how the main characters had misconceptions about each other. When they finally got to know each other there were intense fireworks and of course, i was blushing. Thank goodness i work at home and no one was around to hear the squeals of delight! I love when the narrators bring the characters to life and make me feel connected to the story. I would highly recommend this to anyone!

This is a very well written and entertaining enemies to lovers romance. Harper and Reid truly despised each other which lead to some amazing banter and some really entertaining drama. The tension between the two of them was palpable and their chemistry was amazing. I enjoyed their romance with swoon worthy moments, spice and humor throughout.

Kitty Bang did an amazing job with narrating this story. I loved the way she brought the characters to life and brought out their personalities and emotions.

ARC AUDIO REVIEW ~
3/5
Thank you so much to NetGalley for the opportunity to read this amazing book!
The plot felt refreshingly unique and had strong feminist themes that I truly appreciated. We love seeing women who support women!
This is a perfect example of the grumpy x sunshine trope, and it was done so well. Reid was incredible— adored his character and loved his confidence! Harper (the FMC), was so strong and confident. Iloved her no-nonsense attitude and the way she took charge.
The romance was swoon-worthy, with just the right amount of drama to keep things exciting. Overall, this was a fantastic read

From the outside Harper and Reid are from successful families, they both carry unexpected trauma that impacts their daily life. what they find is a found family and a live they never expected.

Really enjoyed the banter with Harper and Reid. When she overhears a conversation between him and his brother, she automatically has a dislike for him. Really great listen and the storyline well done. Haven’t read/heard the others in the series but doesn’t seem to be needed to understand this one though I will probably go back and listen to them.
