As an introvert myself I thought I would really enjoy this one. The first chapter really pulled me in but the story started to lag pretty early on. I had a hard time connecting with the main character. But if you’re introverted and got caught up in remote work ad solitude during the pandemic I bet you’ll enjoy this one!

Honestly, I don't have a long review for this. I thought it was a cute and easy read! Mallory and her Gramps relationship was super sweet to read and watch it grow. And Daniel was a solid love interest.

Mallory and Daniel had no business being that adorable. Perhaps I teared up. This book is perfect. A gift to literature.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for my honest opinion
Mallory Rosen is comfortable with the life she’s built. She works remotely from home and leads a solitary lifestyle in Seattle. When her late grandmother leaves her the deed to her home in Florida and instructions to look after her grandpa, Mallory heads to the sunshine state to get property in order to rent and to check in on her grandpa and make sure he’s okay. What starts off as a weekend turns into a month long stay. The longer she stays the more roots she puts down. But when her company issues an order for employees to return to the office, Mallory is left with a decision: return to the lonely life she was living in Seattle or permanently become part of the community in Florida.
This was cute women’s fiction coming of age story with likable characters. While there is a romantic subplot, I’d say the real focus is on the relationship between Mallory and her grandfather. It was so heartwarming to watch them become closer. Ms. Appelbaum did a solid job of creating a more intimate relationship between the two. Mallory was a layered character with insecurities, yet at the same time there was an optimistic, hopeful side to her that really shone through as she cultivated relationships with her grandpa and the community around her. That was the strength of the novel. While the love interest Daniel was sweet, I did feel he was a bit one dimensional. I didn’t really get a sense as to the depth of feelings he had for Mallory. It seemed like it was business as usual when she had to go back to Seattle. In fact their relationship felt more like a friend one than a romantic one. I didn’t really feel as a sense of yearning or chemistry between the two. This could be because the focus was more on Mallory’s journey and her relationship with her grandfather.
Overall though, it was an enjoyable read with no angst.

There's just something about An Introvert's Guide to Life and Love that had me smiling from beginning to end. Perhaps it's the sweet relationship between a girl and her grandfather, or the meet cute with the perfect man. Either way, it's a sweet journey where an introvert finally gives herself permission to live the life she truly wants.
Couldn't go less than five stars for this sweet story. Highly recommend.
