This was a great debut novel!! I loved how patient and understanding James was with April when she was figuring everything out. I also loved the communication between the two of them, it was so refreshing to see after reading multiple books with constant miscommunication. The friendship groups in this was were amazing and Basil was so cute and funny!

This was an enjoyable debut book!
I love the friendship April has with Gemma and Anna. Everyone needs girlfriends like these in their life. James’ group of friends were just as fun. The camaraderie and banter in this book had me laughing out loud. James is such a dream book boyfriend. I’d recommend this book to friends who love a good slow burn with lots of spice. I can’t wait to read more from this author.

The Other Brother by Tierney Page was a well written story that kept me hooked from the very beginning.
The characters draw you in and keeps you flipping the pages.
The characters were all realistic and very well developed.
I really enjoyed the writing style. I found myself hooked, turning the pages.

I don’t even know where to start with The Other Brother… this book completely took me out. 🥲
It’s messy, emotional, complicated and I devoured every second of it. One minute I was swooning, the next I was screaming into my pillow. The tension, the heartbreak, the slow unraveling of everything? Yeah… it hurts, but in the best way.
This wasn’t just a love triangle it was a full on emotional rollercoaster. I felt so much for these characters and couldn’t stop flipping pages, needing to know how it all ended. Tierney Page really knows how to write the kind of love that lingers even after the last page.
I’m still thinking about it. Still not over it.
If you love messy, real-feeling romance with all the angst, add this to your list immediately.

I could not put this book down! I was absolutely sucked into this story from chapter one! April got the ending she deserved after everything she went through and so did James. James is so kind and caring and exactly what April needed. After the trauma, their story is so cute & I had butterflies reading their ending!

I love watching Tierney on TikTok so I was super excited about this book, unfortunately the writing was mediocre at best. This book lacked depth and development.

📖 Review: The Other Brother by Tierney Page
London Hearts #1 | Released Today!
“𝘐’𝘮 𝘧𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘐 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥𝘯’𝘵.”
Okay, romance babes Tierney Page did NOT come to play with her debut. She came to cause chaos in our hearts and set fire to our kindles. And I loved every scorching, giggle-filled, rule-breaking second. 🙌💥
April had the dream for a house, cat, and a picture-perfect fiancé… until a gut-punch betrayal made it all come crashing down. Just as she’s picking up the pieces, enter James, her ex’s younger brother. 😳 A forbidden, tattooed, musician with eyes like fire and the patience of a saint.
Let’s just say: this man is the definition of "I’ve been quietly obsessed with you for years." And when the tension snaps? WHEW. One word: feral. 🥵🔥
💬 The banter? ICONIC.
💋 The spice? 4-alarm fire.
🎸 The tension? A slow-burn masterpiece.
🩷 The girl gang? 10/10 would ride-or-die.
This isn’t just a messy brother’s best friend trope, it’s about healing, rebuilding, and learning that sometimes love finds you in the wreckage. April and James are electric together, with a push-pull that’s addicting and a forbidden romance that feels like fate.
Was Lucas the worst? Yes.
Did April deserve to find love that was intentional and soft and chosen? Absolutely.
And James? James delivers.
Tierney’s debut is packed with humor, heat, healing, and just the right amount of drama to keep you flipping pages. I’m officially invested in the London Hearts series and already counting down to Gemma’s book. 🎤

With a title like “The Other Brother” and after reading the blurb I was expecting more of a conflict. April and James’ relationship wasn’t forbidden. Her ex (his brother) cheated on her. Both April and James were single when they got together. There wasn’t much tension there.
The writing was kinda choppy with the time passages. A little meh for me.
Thank you to Forever Publishing for the advanced readers copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

April moves on from her disastrous breakup in an unexpected way...with her ex's brother.
This was a good read. There was a lot that I really enjoyed. April and her friends were really the stars of this book. They have such a great relationship that is supportive! Gemma's dating stories were always funny! The romance itself was also good. I loved James. He's kinda brooding and all promising rockstar. I really liked that he worked hard for his break into the music industry. He also treats April like a queen which I adored.
All in all, this was a good spicy romance!

The Other Brother starts with a premise I was really excited about…London setting, rock band vibes, and complicated family dynamics. Tierney Page does a great job creating chemistry between the characters, and there were definitely moments that had me smiling (or swooning a little). I also enjoyed the glimpses of the music world and the tension that came from being caught between brothers.
That said, I felt the pacing dragged at times, and some of the emotional beats didn’t hit as hard as I wanted them to. The conflict felt repetitive in parts, and I kept waiting for a deeper exploration of certain character motivations that never really came. I also wish we’d seen more development in the side characters, because some of them had a lot of potential!
If you’re in the mood for something easy to get through with some sweet and steamy moments, this could still be a fun pick.

While the premise of this book held promise, the overall execution left me feeling underwhelmed. A compelling narrative was undoubtedly present, but the final product felt rushed, underdeveloped, and ultimately, unconvincing. The storyline, centered around a forbidden love, possessed the potential to be truly captivating. However, the narrative felt disappointingly simplistic. The ease with which the situation resolved itself undermined the obvious challenges and complexities one would expect from such a difficult situation. The path to falling in love felt too smooth, lacking the necessary obstacles to create genuine tension and emotional conflict. To elevate the story and make it more believable, the inclusion of a significant conflict during the third quarter would have been fitting. A well-placed conflict would have added depth, complexity, and a much-needed layer of realism, transforming the narrative from a pleasant but forgettable read into a truly memorable and impactful experience. As it stands, the book's potential remains largely untapped but has the potential to being a compelling story.

i wasn’t sure how i would feel about the brother of an ex fiancé but oh my goodness this was soo good! i was hooked and fell in love with april and james! it was so well written and the storyline was perfection

4⭐️ 3🌶️ I really enjoyed this book and the characters! April’s were the best, we love a group of supportive and funny friends! Gemma’s dating stories had me cracking up!
Lucas is the absolute worst and just kept on digging the hole deeper the more we learned about him. April and James were so great together, always so caring and understanding and communicated so well with each other. There was no 3rd act breakup, which I really enjoyed, however the 3rd act drama was very anticlimactic.

I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know April and James within the pages of this book. I’m definitely a sucker for a good broody bass player 😉
I think the plot was great and I was very impressed at the character growth that April went through. Tierney Page really captures the pain of being cheated on. I also really loved how mature the characters were described. It made it all very relatable and realistic.
I would have loved to dive deeper into Lucas and his situation, but I completely understand that that was not the point of the story.
Shoutout to the girl squad! April’s BFFS were so fun to read about and get to know.
The spice was spicy and James is a heartthrob 🥵 I truly wish I could listen to his music 😅 The part where he’s writing the song was so engaging and it had me wishing Atlas Veil was a real band. And the band mates! Their banter was easy and funny to read. It truly felt like I was observing mates just having a good time.
This book was incredible and I’m thankful to the author for my ARC copy.

I'm so sad that I am writing this review. I think I had such high hopes because of how much I love Tierney’s content.
I really thought there would be lots of pinning and angst in this book. The plot and pacing happened so fast, and I feel like these characters lacked depth. I didn’t really feel the chemistry or interest from the April. I got a little bit of pinning from the James, however it was shorter lived then I would have liked in a slow burn. I wanted a really messy, brother vs brother romance where I was gonna feel conflicted over which brother. I left not really wanting either. Especially at the end where James admits he cheated with his brother’s ex-girlfriend and that's why there has always been tension there. It confused me as I’m like why would I want to root for either brother, and why would April after being so emotionally traumatized from their relationship want to fall back into a risk of the same/similar dynamic in her future.
The one thing I loved about this book was the friendships between the girls, and how they supported her throughout. I love the premise of this book. I just feel like it could have been better executed. The beginning was very good, and pulled me, and unfortunately he rest just fell flat.
Great job nonetheless for the author to put herself put there.

This was a pretty good debut novel from a favorite booktok'er turned author. I could hear Tierney's humor throughout the novel and had some giggles especially with Basil (the cat) and Gemma's hook ups. I would have loved to see the romance with James fleshed out a little more as it seemed most of the focus was on the spicy parts. Overall, I would recommend if you're interested in a slightly taboo (ex's brother) fun read.

ARC Review 🎸
The Other Brother is an ex fiancés brother romance with sizzling tension and good chemistry between James and April. Great, funny, and loyal friendships. Loved Gemma’s character, she was so funny, definitely a side character that made the whole story. This book is filled with constant family drama for added effect but ultimately there was no drama involved when they finally revealed their relationship to everyone like I expected, especially between the brothers.
April is the fmc. Her insecurity and confidence at the same time makes her such a real and flawed character that is easily relatable. James is the musician mmc, her ex fiancés brother. He gives off bad boy vibes but is a total sweetheart. He is caring and considerate of her thoughts and feelings.
The premise sounded so good but felt like it was lacking in character development. And I’m only rating this 3 stars because I didn’t particularly like the writing style, and the fact that it was a ‘will they, won’t they’ situation in the book, which I usually don’t mind but it lasted for a while in this one and it started to get irritating. As well as the fact, that the author used pooping as comedic value constantly throughout the book. I know it’s a natural bodily function but I don’t particularly like having books mention it so many times and just thought it was weird instead of funny.
Overall, it was an alright read, it does have some really great tropes in it. With some tweaks and editing it could be really good.

Thank you Forever and Netgalley for the arc! 🫶🏻

A spicy rockstar other brother romance. Lucas was cheating in April so she ended the relationship. She never expected to fall, hard for his brother James but she does. This has good banter and a fun friend group for April (I liked Gemma in particular). These two work their way past the sorta-taboo thing fast and well, you can guess what will happen. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC. A fun read.

This was a great debut by Tierney Page! I really enjoyed it!

Thank you to Tierney Page and Grand Central Publishing for the ARC copy in exchange for my honest opinions!!
I LOVE the tropes in this book! Gimme the bad boy younger brother who’s a musician ALL DAY!! This one took me a little while to get into. The beginning was spent developing the backstory between April and Lucas (her ex). I realize it was necessary but I wanted more from April and James in the relationship development portion of this book. James was a hottie and I loved how he did the little things for April like grab her favorite coffee! He showed up for her in all the ways his brother didn’t. Gemma, April’s best friend, was the star of the show in her own right. I loved her antics and I definitely would read her book because anything involving her was hysterical!!
