Thank you to Forever Publishing for the E-ARC of this book!
I devoured this in one sitting! April's world comes crashing down when she finds out her fiancé is a lying POS. You know who isn't? His younger brother, James. James steps up to help pick up the pieces that his brother destroyed. They had immediate attraction that made this a page turner as to how the author was going to handle their unexpected connection. It heats up pretty quickly and everything came together a bit too seamlessly. I would have loved more angst in the story. April has a tragic backstory that I would have loved to delve farther into.
This book was a bit predictable and skimmed surface level details. I loved the dual POV and getting both character's perspective. I think this always adds to the story.
One of the highlights of the book was April's bestie Gemma and her terrible one-night stands. I would read an entire book of Gemma and her dating fails.
Overall, I think this is definitely worth the read but temper down expectations.

The Other Brother had all the right ingredients for a gripping romance: a forbidden connection, a messy past, and the promise of emotional depth.
One of the strongest parts of the book was its honest take on heartbreak and healing. Those moments felt real and thoughtfully written. But the romance never fully found its rhythm. April and James’s connection felt more like a concept than a lived in love story, and the pacing didn’t help it lingered too long in the buildup and then rushed through the romance at the end. I really loved the concept of the story and the characters. The MMC is also a gentleman, with bad boy vibes which is a favorite of mine.
Looking forward to reading future books from this author!
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever grand publishing for the E-arc!

I love Tierney's TikTok and book recommendations, and I know how difficult writing a book can be as a new writer, but this one really fell flat to me.
It felt very formulaic, very predictable. There were three time jumps in the beginning, which I understand is realistic to how life is, but at the same time it took me out of the story each time.
Maybe this just isn't a good fit for me right now! But *me* being able to stop reading almost halfway through and not care about the characters is pretty telling - there's equally a lot of characters, but also not a lot of depth to any of them. The FMC has two best friends, the MMC has three, but there's not much difference between them all.
Thank you, NetGalley, for the chance to read this ARC!

Thanks so much for the ARC on this! This is a beautiful cover also. The synopsis of this really drew me in. And I've watched a few shows and movies lately with the brother vibe. Again, thank you!

Great debut from Tierney Page! Plenty of romance and drama to keep the reader interested, with a bit o' spice to keep it exciting. Looking forward to seeing what's next!

I was lucky to be gifted a copy of this book from #netgalley. I read rockstar is ex’s brother in the description and I said, “say no more!”
This book started slow and I was concerned that there wouldn’t be enough book left to develop the love between April and James. However, I was so wrong! They were truly meant to be together. Their love was so organic and enjoyable to read.
Usually, I’m a fan of darker themes and romances but this was an excellent debut for Tierney Page! I ate this up!

I’ve been following Tierney Page for some time on social media. Her witty personality absolutely came through in her writing, which I very much enjoyed. The fun banter between the characters and their respective friend groups made me laugh out loud at times and may have been my favorite part of the book.
The character development could have been explored more, even if it added 50-100 more pages. Though some of the story was predictable, I wasn’t left wanting. In fact, there were themes and paths the writer could have taken (and frankly, based on most romance books, I was expecting to be taken), but this author didn’t go there. For example, I don’t like the miscommunication trope and feel too many authors use it. So, I was pleasantly surprised and applauded the story for not taking more predictable avenues. Kudos to Tierney Page!
Overall, this was a light, fun, spicy read and I enjoyed it. I would definitely read the author’s next book.

I have followed Tierney on TikTok for some time now. I have loved her book recs they have never disappointed me. Her humour is the best. When I had the opportunity to sign up for this book it was an absolute yes for me.
This book evoked so many emotions, it made me sad, want to throttle someone, I giggled, kicked my feet with glee. Had a few how sweet moments too.
Teirnys personality and sense of humour absolutely comes through on page. I loved it!
The story line isn’t one you typically see but drew me in non the less. James is so understanding and sweet. I liked that he was able to see past the facade of Lucas. F Lucas by the way.
That twist that gets thrown in, I wasn’t surprised but also THE AUDACITY. That’s all I’ll say about that.
The chemistry between James and April was hot, like squirm in your seat hot.
April, I just wanted to wrap her up in a hug and love her. She just deserves to have someone love her completely.
April, Anna and Gemma’s friendship is so special. Their conversation are hilarious. I would also like a Gemma book, just throwing that out there 😉
Would I recommend this book? You bet I would!! I can’t wait to see more from Tierney.
Favourite quotes-
“What did they offer him that I couldn’t? What void did they fill that I failed to? But I know, deep down, that even if I did scream, even if he did offer explanations, it wouldn’t bring me the peace I crave. It wouldn’t undo the hurt, or the lies. “
“You’re in my blood now, April. Every song I play, I hear you in it. I feel you in the spaces between every word I speak. No one’s ever affected to me like this.”

Such a sweet, sexy, fun, ex boyfriends Rockstar brother romance book. Perfect level of buildup, spice and plot.
Full of the hilarious one liners you come to expect and hope for if you follow Tierney on social media.
Amazing book!

This debut was written by an Instagram content creator that I have followed and loved for her spicy book recommendations. So when I heard she wrote her own romance novel, I was eager to read it! This story had likable characters, juicy tropes (ex-fiancée’s brother, musician MMC, forbidden romance) , great friendships, and all the spice. Looking forward to more from Tierney Page. Thank you to Netgalley for this ARC.

April who was going to be married to Lucas starts to notice some red flags. He is constantly on his phone and disconnected. One day while he leaves his phone in the living room she finds out his secret lift. This lead to their break up. Logan has a brother whose name is James. He is a musician who plays live music. He always had a thing for April. This is where their story starts..
This book was hot, funny, just the right amount of erotica and romance. If you want a forbidden romance and friends to lovers this is for you!

What to expect
- Ex Fiance’s brother
- Supportive friend group
- Musician MMC
- Learning to live after heartbreak
- Slow Burn
I really, really wanted to give a glowing review for The Other Brother. Tierney is one of my favorite book influencers and “sibling ex” is one of my favorite tropes (no judgement please) that I wish I could see more of. It usually promises prominent angst , guilt, pining, forbidden-ness , and a rare love worth fighting for. Unfortunately, I was left wanting on all fronts. Yes , there were small bits and pieces sprinkled in, but ultimately felt like a missed opportunity.
I also struggled with the pace of the book. I appreciate the emphasis on friendship and the emotional healing after a breakup (the genuine portrayal of heartbreak and recovery was actually one of the things I liked the most) but it seemed to overshadow the romance for most of the book , which made the story drag for me. Then , in contrast, it picked up too quickly in the last 30% with tactics used to expedite the relationship growth.
As for the romance, April and James's chemistry didn’t quite land for me. Their chemistry felt artificial and connection surface-level, and though it was meant to be a slow burn, it never developed in a way that had me truly invested in them.
All that being said, I do still see potential in both the writer and the novel. I wouldn’t call this a bad debut, it just wasn’t one that I personally enjoyed. I’m interested to see how Tierney’s writing grows in future books!
**Thank you to Forever Grand Central Publishing and Tierney Page for providing advanced copy in exchange for an honest review **

Tierney did a phenomenal job with this story! I loved James and Aprils relationship so much! I loved how James spoke with April and how he helped her through her trust issues regarding Lucas. I was so happy when she stood up to Lucas after he hurt her. Her realizing that she was worth more than how Lucas was treating her. I really enjoyed reading this and cannot wait to see who the next book in the series is about. I am hoping Gemma because her stories were hilarious!
I was also soooo happy during the epilogue! I was nervous something was gonna happen to change how I felt but Tierney did a great job with changing it to something more relatable! This was so good. I am so glad I got to read this!!

I devoured this book! I was so excited when I saw the TikTok of Tierney saying she wrote a book! I did a little happy dance when I got approved for the arc!
April is engaged to Lucas, who is a fug. Iykyk. Lucas and April break off their engagement. April is really struggling with the breakup. James, Lucas’ brother, keeps running into April and wants to be there for her. He knows how his brother is more than most.
There are definitely sparks between April and James. Though both keep fighting it, for the “taboo” aspect as well as guilty. This is a slow burn book. I enjoyed all the secondary cast as well. I hope we see Gemma get her book.
I greatly appreciated that there was no third act breakup. To me this was an adult book, meaning the characters acted like adults the way they addressed conflicts.
Thank you NetGalley and Forever(Grand Central Publishing) for the advanced copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

An entertaining and refreshing debut novel that delivers on romance, humor, and spice!
There is so much to appreciate in this book! First off, the FMC is 31!
As the title implies, this is a romance between April and her truly terrible ex's younger brother; so right off the bat we have the recipe for delicious angst and forbidden love. Oh, and he is a musician, making him even more tempting and swoon-worthy.
I appreciated how nothing is rushed and time is allowed to pass for the FMC to mourn and heal from her previous relationship (while feelings for the MMC are there simmering underneath the surface).
We are also gifted with April's dynamics with her girlfriends, and their friendship is absolute GOLD, they were so supportive of her.
MMC James is the biggest green flag and he had me kicking my feet and giggling. There were so many times where the miscommunication trope could have been used, but everyone was a mature adult and shared their feelings, and just- BRAVO! Honestly, I wish the book would have been longer and included even tension and yearning. This couple was amazing, and they deserve all the happiness.
April's friend Gemma is a hilarious mess, and I can't wait to read about her story in book 2!

Reading a lot of romance books does not mean you will be a good romance writer.
I was really excited and looking forward to this one as a long time follower of the author, but this was a big ole miss for me.
I love a good forbidden romance with a slow burn, but this was not either of those things.
From the beginning both characters are painfully obvious about how they feel towards each other. To the point of other characters noticing. There was almost zero tension and for me I didn’t feel even a hint of chemistry between them. None.
She had more chemistry with her ex in the beginning than she did with the main love interest.
I really wish books were marketed more accurately to what they really are because I went into this book with expectations that it would have the elements of those tropes and it’s disappointing when that’s not the reality.
The writing just isn’t good. I didn’t feel pulled in and reading felt more like a chore than a fun escape. But I think this book was over for me before it even really started when the mmc pet/house sat and cleaned up and did her laundry and I read the line “I hope there weren’t any skid marks.” I physically grimaced and I wish I was making this up. Gross.
The pacing of this book was off and just weird. There were huge time jumps and gaps that could’ve been filled with character development or relationship building but instead a lot of chapters felt completely unnecessary and didn’t benefit the story.
The characters were unlikable and inconsistent and I was not rooting for them to be together, which is the complete opposite of what you want in a romance book. I don’t think I’d recommend this book to anyone.

Of course I was going to read Tierney's debut novel. Bonus points since it was forbidden. The thought behind the story caught my attention and drew me in. That's why I finished the book within the day.
My favorite part of the book was April's friendships with the girls. We need a full book of just Gemma's "dating" stories. April had big emotions and glad she had people there for her.
I struggled with the pacing of the book and the time jumps. This was a easy read but I do wish there was a little more conflict or angst. James was almost perfect and there was no real pinning or winning April over.
I will for sure read book 2.
Tropes:
- Ex-Fiances Brother
- Forbidden
- Musician MMC
- Found Family
- Banter
- Spice
Thank you Tierney Page, NetGalley, and Forever for the arc in return for my honest review.

3 stars! Quick read for me! Definitely has great humor at points and I loved the writing style of Tierney Page. I do wish I was more connected to the two main characters. I would have loved to see some more development of the characters throughout the plot for me to connect with them more.

This was amazing! The characters in this and the romance is one of my favorites of the year! I am excited to read more from this author!

This was a fast and easy, but predictable read. I enjoyed it but it could’ve used a little more depth. It felt like it was just ok. I absolutely adore the author and will definitely pick up the next one!!
