Ridley does it again! This historical romance made me laugh out loud and research what it takes to train weasels. Viv and Jacob are a great pair of main characters that you root for the whole way through. The cast of characters in general are a diverse group of tricksters that I enjoyed revisiting.
While this series may not be historically accurate, it is hysterical and includes a bit of mystery. It lost a star for me due to an overuse of ellipses and a more unbelievable plot point than I generally enjoy but overall A Waltz on the Wild Side is a fun, light-hearted read.
Thank you to NetGalley and Forever for the ARC!

This next book in the series of the madcap family definitely holds up to the barmy antics of the other books. There is kidnapping and sword waving, along with animal taming and pet badgers and tigers. The characters hold their usual charm and are as unique as ever. The book kept me on a knife edge with white knuckles as I was never sure what was going to happen next, what amazingly odd and unusual thing would happen and that was a great feeling, this book is total immersion in a world that cannot be real and yet somehow just makes sense when reading! Such great escapism.

“I absolutely loved A WALTZ ON THE WILD SIDE! (Aside from the open door, descriptive sex scene near the end.)
It has an interesting, imaginative, exciting plot, characters you want to move in with, and wonderful humor. Thanks to you I got only a few hours of sleep last night since I could. Not. Put. This. Book. Down. Thank you for hours of fun reading!
I reviewed a free Advance Reader Copy of this book with no strings attached.”
