I’ve got a ton of ARCs on the go right now, but did that stop me from mood reading this one first? Absolutely not. I saw it, I wanted it, and I devoured it. And I loved it.

The moment Reese laid eyes on Beau, it hit—the mating heat, the draw, the obsession. Not cool! Reese enjoys her quiet life: her found family and her job at the blood bank, helping vampires get access to the best quality blood money can buy. Mating with a vampire? Nowhere on her to-do list.

Vein & Vow deep dives into the fated mates trope and all the intense heat that comes with it, and honestly, it worked for me! I really enjoyed the foundation this book lays for the series. Beyond the fated mates aspect, there’s a plot involving mates being captured and killed, which I’m guessing will play a larger role in the upcoming books. I can see this evolving into an absolutely binge-worthy series, and I’m eagerly waiting for more Boucher brothers!

Okay, I really didn’t expect to love this book as much as I did—but once I started, I couldn’t put it down. Vein & Vow completely sucked me in (pun intended).

The story follows Reese and Beau, who discover they’re fated mates—and immediately want nothing to do with it or each other.Cue the chaos. Their bond is anything but smooth, and watching them try to deny it—while the universe keeps shoving them together—is both hilarious and heartwarming.

Set in a modern-day USA where vampires are (sort of?) part of society, the world-building strikes this perfect balance between supernatural fantasy and real-world grit. Nicole Jacquelyn somehow makes vampires feel fresh, funny, and surprisingly relatable.

The banter is gold. The tension? Impeccable. And the plot keeps you hooked with the perfect mix of suspense, heart, and laugh-out-loud moments. If you’re into fated mates who loathe each other, vampires trying to blend in, and characters you root for hard, this one’s for you.

I really enjoyed this enemies to lovers vampire read. It had just the right amount of angst and wit while being deliciously spicy from the start. I also enjoyed the found family theme as well as the openness of Beau's family. Bonus points for calling out birth control should be the male's responsibility!

This book completely took me by surprise—in the best way possible. I couldn’t put it down! The story, the characters, the banter between the main couple… everything pulled me in from page one. If you’re into Fated Mates, Enemies to Lovers, Forced Proximity, and you love vampires? This is your book.

Beau finds his fated mate for the second time—which he didn’t even think was possible. And while the connection is instant, the tension between them is explosive (and not in a sweet way—at least at first).

I really enjoyed the world-building, especially the fresh take on vampires and the fated mate system. These vamps feel a little more human but still keep their brooding, powerful edge. Beau is out for revenge for what happened to his brother, but fate throws Reese in his path—and everything changes.

I absolutely loved watching their relationship grow—not just from being magically bonded, but from getting to know each other, giving love a chance beyond the fated pull. Reese can be a little annoying at first, but she’s hilarious and has such a good heart that she quickly becomes lovable. And Beau? He starts off cold but absolutely melts for her by the end.

I need book two ASAP! I can’t wait to follow another one of the brothers and dive back into this world.

Really enjoyed this book! There were moments of heartache, nail biting, swooning, and giggles for sure. The characters feel full without falling into stereotypes, and the balance between character-growth with the FMC and MMC and underlying plot through the interconnected standalones was perfect. One critic I have is that the conflict sometimes felt a little too forced, but I still found myself wondering how it would resolve and relieved when it did. Even with my rating officially four stars, I give this book four and a half stars!!

I tried to get into this but it just wasn't for me, at this time.

I never expected to love the book this much. I think it could have gone very differently if the writing wasn’t so spectacular but the author managed to make even the most mundane scenes interesting. The characters felt so real and believable, sometimes I forgot they weren’t.

The story focuses on Beau and Reese as they navigate their relationship. It was so interesting to see the way they interacted with each other whilst dealing with being mated and the hatred they shared. I really enjoyed the new take on mating, I haven’t seen something similar in vampire media. I liked the fact they were warm, loving and like people but slightly different, it was a refreshing take. The familial love and community was heart-warming and so nice to see, you could feel the love they shared through the page.

The underlying plot of figuring out the big conspiracy surrounding the brother’s death whilst navigating his feelings kept me unable to put the book down. I thought the mystery and world were well done, I felt extremely immersed and invested in what was going to happen.

I’m excited to see what happens in the next book and saddened at the fact it will no longer focus on Reese and Beau, who I’ve grown attached to.

I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it as a quick read.

I have updated my rating to 5 stars as I could not put this down , the author really writes the emotions so well I felt everything and honestly wish the book was longer! The FMC Reese is honestly pretty cool and I love the whole found family with MMC family it’s super sweet!
The plot twist towards the end I definitely did not see coming

I was hooked from the beginning and I am excited to see how this series progresses. I like that the book acknowledged how quick Reece accepted and how not normal that is! I thought the banter was funny and that the hairdryer joke came up more than once.. I think there is more to Rena than we have so far. Thanks NetGalley for letting me read and review.

Loved the tension and the bite!

Vein and Vow was such a fun, steamy read. I loved the enemies-to-lovers dynamic between Reese and Beau—their banter was sharp, and the chemistry was intense from the start. Beau’s broody vampire vibes totally worked for me, and Reese’s no-nonsense attitude made her easy to root for.

The pacing dipped a little in the middle, and I wanted more from Reese’s journey into the supernatural world, but overall, I was hooked. Definitely recommend if you’re into fated mates with bite!

If you enjoy fated mates that are also enemies to lovers, vampires, magic, secrets, and drama, then this book is for you!! It’s also the start of a series that follows brothers as they, too, find their fated mates, along with uncovering who murdered their younger brother. The story starts from Beau’s point of view, who is our male main character and our vampire. It announces that his younger brother was murdered, and then it’s said that he and the rest of his brothers need to find their fated mates. Little do you know, Beau has already seen a mate previously, but there was some drama with that, so it’s been like 70 to 80 years that he’s been alone. Then he just stumbles upon his new mate, Reese. Immediately, they do not like each other. It’s not looking good, but that’s his mate, so he’s obviously going to get over it, and Reese does know about like vampires and the mythical world, but she just never imagined she’d end up being mated to one. We then follow Reese and Beau on their journey to becoming mates, along with some of the problems that being mates can entail. I’m not gonna spoil it, but that is a pressing thing in the book. They’re also on the journey of meeting the rest of Beau’s family and then meeting Reese‘s extended family. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found it to be a quick read. Looking forward to the next one!

A tale of two people not looking for love who find it, not quite the way they expected. One is a vampire who thinks he knows what he wants and the other is a human who never thought she wanted anything. I literally finished this book in one day… My favourite kind of romance is a vampire romance, and not only does this rank in the top 3 for me (and I have read hundreds), but it felt like a fresh take on the trope. Not quite enemies to lovers or insta-love but some delicious in-between with the concept of fated mates interwoven. I loved the combination of found family and strong extended families side by side, but content regarding foster care might be a trigger for some people. The plot was interesting, but the focal point was the character development, which was realistic, made the characters loveable and relatable in short - phenomenal. I was hooked from the get-go and it kept me until the very end where I was gutted it was over. I cannot stress enough how much I look forward to book 2.

Vein & Vow is a dual point of view enemies to lovers vampire romance with a little spice-all of my favorites rolled into one! Beaumont Boucher is the grumpy hero with a heart of gold and Reese Matthews is the quirky heroine. Beaumont comes across as tough but underneath he has a heart of gold. I devoured this book in less than a day. I loved the banter back and forth between the characters and the tension was palpable between the two. The story ends on a cliff hanger but I was happy to see there will be a book 2 coming out to continue the storyline with another Boucher brother. This was my first time reading a book. by Nicole Jacquelyn and I will definitely look into other books written by her.

Vein & Vow is a paranormal vampire romance with a nice twist on the mate bond that I haven't seen before. It balanced the romance and the overall plot really well and I flew through it in one session! It was a really easy read but the characters also had depth to them. The backstory of the FMC, Reese, was emotional and I teared up a few times as her story progressed!

There's just something about interconnected paranormal romances with a plot that unfolds across all the books that I just love and find so comforting, especially when the MCs are all part of the same family and you see the family grow book-to-book. I can't wait to see the plot progress and to see a new couple in the first sequel!
