Clairvoyance plays an important role in the story, but it’s handled well with no really gimmicky stuff thrown in. The character development and relationships are especially well designed and the plot takes advantage of both.. I’d enjoy a sequel.

This is an adventure book. But fair warning from the first page there are gruesome and more adult scenes. Characters are quirky.

If intense ‘fighting for your life’ action, paranormal suspense, unique skillsets and journeys of self-discovery intrigue you, this debut novel, a great Alaskan wilderness adventure, will be one you’ll want on your reading list immediately.

It’s been said that most people come to Alaska to get lost. Gabriella was banking on this as she tried to outrun her past. Matteo had the same goal. In running to escape his past and head towards his future, his journey intersected with Gabriella’s. This story highlights the confrontation of the shadows that serve as speed bumps in their escape.

As much as I’d love to have the power to see future events, I think Matteo’s experience of living with clairvoyancy killed that notion! It’s been a while since I’ve read a book where I had absolutely no idea in what direction the author would take me. Kudos to this debut author!
