"You Could Do Damage Too" is the final conclusion to this series, and let me just say, I have loved this book, and it will live rent-free in my head. I screamed when I received this ARC. K.C. Mills is easily becoming an author whose books I will always look out for and read.

This is an arranged marriage romance with a little drama, secrets, and lies! Everything I need and want in a book. I love that it's dual POV. Nari—a resilient former foster child—finds herself unexpectedly married to Kincaid Akel, a ruthless businessman with a complicated past.

Thank you, NetGalley, and Black Odyssey Media for the ebook in exchange for my honest review.

I loved reading this continuation of You Could Do Damage. Nari and Kincaid were building the foundation of their relationship, and we got to see them build in You Could Do Damage Too. The best thing that I love about Kincaid is that he is so protective of Nari. He goes out of his way to ensure he is okay, and that is very admirable. I love this couple. There was a good amount of drama as well that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Thank you!

Damaged Done

K. C. Mills knows how to keep the reader on their toes, Picking up where book number one ended: the club, dancers, and several alpha males. With each chapter, this story sends emotions in a different direction. The relationship between Kincaid and Nari is complex, encompassing a range of emotions, from humorous to scary, emotional, dangerous, loving, and intense. Secondary characters were loved, hated, and slightly overbearing.
Thank you to Black Odyssey Media, Netgalley, and K. C. Mills for the ARC of You Can Be Damage Too; above is my honest review.

I was so excited to jump back into Nari and Kincaid’s story, and this sequel delivered in all the ways that matter. I loved seeing Nari find her passion and grow into herself . It added a lot of depth to her character. While it didn’t have the same edge-of-your-seat intensity as book one and felt a bit anticlimactic at times, it was still a really enjoyable read. The author’s writing never misses, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

I am a long time fan of KC Mills. I love how she branches out and indulges in different genres. This series has sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. At times Kincaid did seem a little overbearing/controlling but the toxic side of me enjoyed every minute of it. It’s something about a man being a leader, provider, and protector. I loved how he apologized when Nari would get upset but he stood his ground behind his reasoning. This installment was a little more slower paced than the first but it didn’t take away from the story for me. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves to read.

I’ve read the first book, You Could Do Damage, not once but twice! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for book two and, You Could Do Damage Too did not disappoint!

One of the things I admire most about K.C. Mills is her talent for crafting flawed characters with hearts of gold. The way she tells her stories are the perfect reminder that we should never judge a book by its cover, there’s always more to the story. And Nari and Kincaid? They are the epitome of this. Complicated, a little rough around the edges, but ultimately, two people whose love runs deep….not just for each other but for those closest to them.

Their emotional depth is what really pulled me in. At the core, they’re just two people carrying the weight of past wounds, unitizing the only way they feel they can protect each other while searching for security, acceptance, and a place to belong.
Mills explores their individual struggles and the way they navigate life as a unit with raw honesty and depth that made their story incredibly relatable.

The suspense kept me on edge in the best way—just the right amount to keep me turning the pages late into the night. And the way Mills handles the theme of family? Powerful. She reminds us that family isn’t always about blood - it’s about loyalty, love, and who stands beside you when things get hard.

I truly enjoyed this book immensely.

Kincaid x Nari

We’re back again with Kincaid and Nari’s intense relationship. This book picks up where the first one left off. Nari is trying to find her footing in this new lifestyle and is still insecure with Kincaid’s past. However, we see her finding her voice and purpose in this book. She manages to maintain that special power over her husband that makes him weak for her.

Kincaid is still the force to be reckoned with. He’s a boss, a provider, a protector and loves intensely! In this book, his mask slipped a few time and the narcissist spilled out showing just how commanding, controlling and possessive he can be….even though it’s done all in the name of love and the need to make sure his wife is safe. I gave him the side eye a few times, but I guess I can find a place for him on the book boyfriend list.

While I thoroughly enjoyed the first installment of this series, this book missed the mark a bit. It felt like we were taking the long way to get to the destination. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with the scenic route, as long as the “scenery” is satisfying. It seemed like I was rereading the same scenes over and over again….they would have a misunderstanding or a moment of insecurity, they would make up and then have mind blowing sex….over and over again. Even though it was beautifully written, it became redundant and had me longing for that WOW factor.

This wasn’t my favorite read by K. C., but it wasn’t terrible. She will always be one of my go to authors.

Thank you NetGalley, and Black Odyssey Media for this eARC in exchange for my honest review

As much as I love a slow burn, this one was dragged out a little too long, especially for a second book. Regardless, I still loved Kincaid and Nari and enjoyed this book and the conclusion to this duet.

Okay, so if you read “You Could Do Damage” you know it ended on a cliffhanger that left us all wanting more!

Well in a couple of months you will be able to read “You Could Do Damage Too” and I guarantee you will love it just as much as the first book! Nari and Kincaid are still a favorite couple of mine! They both have strong personalities and even stronger chemistry! Their relationship is tested in many ways in this book!

I don’t want to give away too much…but just know when I started reading I couldn’t put it down! I literally was glued to this book! I can’t wait to add the physicals of to my collection!

This was good but not good as the first book, let’s be real. The first book had us on the edge and wanting more and more. Book 2 felt like a drag but I was so invested with the characters, I had to know how it will go. I’m glad we got some closure on some things.

Kincaid is still Kincaid!

I enjoy the book overall but I was just expecting more. The suspense could been hype more.
I do feel like the miscommunication between Kincaid and Nari was getting on my nerves. They both have a lot of growing up to do!

Thank you, Black Odyssey media, for the arc!

You Could Do Damage Too left me feeling emotionally raw and equally satisfied! Taking this journey with Kincaid and Nari has been a roller-coaster! You ever met a couple that is so much alike but so different at the same time? That's The Akels for you. Both are stubborn and too prideful at times which caused a lot of their friction. I love that Kincaid never has any problems apologizing to Nari when he knows she is upset, but doesn't apologizes for his actions, he always will stand 10 toes on protecting her and making sure she remains "untouchable". We really get to see Nari grow as a women, wife, daughter, and friend, she found her voice from years of being unheard and I'm so glad that she found her footing as Mrs. Akel. This is a beautiful unconventional love story, that started off as an arranged marriage that blossomed into unconditional and undeniable love between two people that deserve it the most.

Firstly, thank you Net Galley and Black Odyssey Media for this ARC of “You Could Do Damage Too”! After that cliffhanger on the first book, I had to know what was happening next. Secondly, I might be toxic because I love Kincaid’s whole vibe, like yes, put me in my place pls!

I feel like this wrapped up the story and loose ends very well. I love how Nari finally overcomes her insecurities and steps into being that b*tch (as she should). I also love how she stood on business when it came to her family members, that can often be a hard thing to do sometimes.

Overcoming vulnerability as a couple and individuals is not always easy but I love how Kincaid and Nari were able to grow and work through those moments. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole first half of the story but I feel as though it tied up loose ends and wrapped up the story perfectly! I look forward to reading more of K.C. Mills work as well as other BOM authors.

K.C Mills did it again! This book was the continuation of “You Could Do Damage” and it was great. Things were wrapped up nicely and was full of suspense. I was at the edge of my seat reading, just waiting on that moment something happens. I loved how lovable the characters are, despite their flaws. Nari is so relatable and although her and Kincaid have many miscommunications, it doesn’t take away from the story. It’s part of life and actual relationships. Anybody in their place would have the same reactions. Everyone ended up happy which is great, I kept thinking oh no, the other shoes is gonna drop but I’m GLAD it didn’t. I loved the characters so much and they deserve all the good things.

I enjoyed this book just as much as book 1. The relationship between Nari and Kincaid progressed to an adult relationship. Nari had a lot of growing up to do to deal with her insecurities, and she did the work to become who she wanted to be. Kincaid still did not play about Nari and ensured she stayed untouched. His love and protection of her were beautiful. I loved Nari's relationship with her mother. They were all each other needed when it came down to the other family members. Endia's side of the family was trash and deserved to be put in their place. This story was the perfect conclusion. Everyone who caused them harm got handled, and all unanswered questions were answered. I wouldn't mind a novella on Endia, Nari's mom, to see her get her HEA with her boo.

Thanks to NetGalley for hooking me up with ARC of this book. I had just finished reading You Could Do Damage so this came right on time…especially after how book 1 ended!

You Could Do Damage Too follows Kincaid and Nari as they settle into their arranged marriage turned marriage for love. The drama follows them through their first year or marriage, so we see them navigate through it in this book.

In my opinion Kincaid came off more possessive than protective for most of the book & even though I understood why he had to be that way I don’t know that I liked it. It was evident he loved Nari down & would do anything for her (& did!) though.

In this sequel Nari struggled to settle into her new kingpin wife role & Kincaid was battling internal struggles of how to show up in his marriage.

Overall the drama kept me engaged with the book & I loved the character development the author gave us. There were a few gaps in timeline that made the pacing feel a little off but it was a good sequel to tie up the loose ends of book 1.

Gripping, Gritty, and Full of Heart

K.C. Mills delivers an emotionally charged, fast-paced story in *You Could Do Damage Too* that kept me turning the pages late into the night. The characters are layered and authentic, with flaws that make them feel real and relatable. I especially appreciated how Mills weaves love, loyalty, and pain together in a way that never feels forced—just raw and honest.

The dialogue felt natural, and the chemistry between the main characters was electric without being overdone. I found myself rooting for them, even when things got messy (which they do—in the best way). There’s a depth to the story that speaks to cycles of hurt and healing, and Mills doesn’t shy away from showing the complicated truths behind both.

If I’m being honest, I would’ve loved just a little more buildup in a few places—some transitions felt a bit rushed—but overall, it didn’t take away from the emotional impact or the power of the storytelling.

This is a book that makes you feel something, and for me, that’s what counts. K.C. Mills knows how to write characters who linger long after the last page.

Highly recommend if you’re into emotional, urban love stories with grit and soul.

I really enjoyed the ending to this book. I agree with others it’s not as good as the first! HOWEVER… I still really enjoyed the ending to the series ❤️

Kincaid I loved so much 🥵❤️ honestly he has my heart I would do ANYTHINGto be in an arranged marriage with him 😂

Ok let me start off by saying I enjoyed the first book that by the time it came to the end I didn't think a second book was needed. After reading the second book, I still stand by that. With the way the first book ended on that cliffhanger I was expecting more of that story line in book 2 and that didn't occur. We didn't really get a deep dive into the father until 70% into book 2 and for that I alone I gave this 3.25 starts.
