Whewww, Kincaid and Nari had my pressure up the entire time! 😩 The push and pull between them was a lot, but I was fully locked in and I loved seeing their growth as a couple. Their fight for love was messy, real, and beautiful.
What really hit me, though, were the family dynamics. KC Mills delivered a powerful message: family isn’t always the perfect picture society paints…it’s the people who show up for you, even when the ones who were supposed to don’t. Sometimes, you have to build your own tribe, and that truth was front and center in this story.
Nari’s glow-up gave me life! Watching her step into her confidence and face her haters head-on? Chef’s kiss. And Kincaid? Baby… he is a good man, Savannah! 😌
This one had tension, love, growth, and a message that sticks.

This was a solid follow-up that gave what it was supposed to give. Kincaid still had that alpha energy controlling, bossed up, don’t-take-no-mess type but his soft spot for Nari stayed real clear. I liked seeing more of Nari finding her own lane in this one, especially as she got deeper into the whole “Family” lifestyle. Watching her grow into that space and reconnect with her mom gave her character more weight.
That said, I did feel like we missed out on seeing Kincaid open up more. Like, I know he loved Nari and would burn the world down for her, but I wanted a little more tenderness from him this time. A few extra quiet moments or even just him being more emotionally vulnerable would’ve added some heat to the romance side. Also, that piece with his mom? I needed that to be on the page. The apology was mentioned, but I wanted to see that scene unfold.
Still, I was locked in the whole time. The pacing was a little slower than the first book, but it didn’t drag. It felt like the calm after the storm less chaos, more foundation building. And I was here for it.
Overall? 4.5 stars. Kincaid and Nari’s love feels grown. Messy at times, intense always, but real. I’ll definitely be checking for whatever K.C. Mills drops next.

You Could Do Damage Too was a good time. The book picked right up where it left off. Kincaid, the male main character, was this alpha male who is used to dominating his business deals and commanding the people around him. He never took any bs when it came to his family or the people close to him. It was his way or no way especially with business, but his soft spot was his wife Nari. In this book, you really tap into Nari adjusting to her married life and the life of being connected to the Families. I also enjoyed seeing Nari really build that relationship with her mother.
The thing i would say that was missing was a little more of a rekindling of Kincaid and his mother. I know it mentioned apologies but I think I just wanted to read it. Also, I felt like I wanted to see more from Kincaid. A more loving side from him like the “romance” was missing at times with him. Yes , he did not play about his wife and he loved her. I just wanted to see that a little more.
Overall a good book! I give it 4.5 stars.

I love the way this story was laid out. You get to feel all the emotions and you feel like you truly have a connection with the characters. The writing style is chef’s kiss. You feel the emotions jumping off the page, each and very one. Kincaid is bae 😍 he can get it. Nari is a perfect fit for him, needing his love, protection and vulnerability. She is his reason for trusting his own heart and that’s such a beautiful thing. I love these two, I love this story it did not disappoint ❤️

3.5 ⭐️
This was a good ending to the series. Honestly, I didn’t enjoy it as much as the first book, but it still had moments that kept me entertained. Overall, I enjoyed learning more about Nari and Kincaid’s journey.

Tropes:

Kincaid is possessive and protective of Nari, call me toxic if you must. But I loved everything about it! This was a great ending to a story full of every emotion someone can have

"You Could Do Damage Too" is the final conclusion to this series, and let me just say, I have loved this book, and it will live rent-free in my head. I screamed when I received this ARC. K.C. Mills is easily becoming an author whose books I will always look out for and read.
This is an arranged marriage romance with a little drama, secrets, and lies! Everything I need and want in a book. I love that it's dual POV. Nari—a resilient former foster child—finds herself unexpectedly married to Kincaid Akel, a ruthless businessman with a complicated past.
Thank you, NetGalley, and Black Odyssey Media for the ebook in exchange for my honest review.

I loved reading this continuation of You Could Do Damage. Nari and Kincaid were building the foundation of their relationship, and we got to see them build in You Could Do Damage Too. The best thing that I love about Kincaid is that he is so protective of Nari. He goes out of his way to ensure he is okay, and that is very admirable. I love this couple. There was a good amount of drama as well that kept me on the edge of my seat.
Thank you!

Damaged Done
K. C. Mills knows how to keep the reader on their toes, Picking up where book number one ended: the club, dancers, and several alpha males. With each chapter, this story sends emotions in a different direction. The relationship between Kincaid and Nari is complex, encompassing a range of emotions, from humorous to scary, emotional, dangerous, loving, and intense. Secondary characters were loved, hated, and slightly overbearing.
Thank you to Black Odyssey Media, Netgalley, and K. C. Mills for the ARC of You Can Be Damage Too; above is my honest review.

I enjoyed the book as I did the first one.
The storybflowed perfectly.
I loved the relationship and the characters

I was so excited to jump back into Nari and Kincaid’s story, and this sequel delivered in all the ways that matter. I loved seeing Nari find her passion and grow into herself . It added a lot of depth to her character. While it didn’t have the same edge-of-your-seat intensity as book one and felt a bit anticlimactic at times, it was still a really enjoyable read. The author’s writing never misses, and I can’t wait to see what’s next!

I am a long time fan of KC Mills. I love how she branches out and indulges in different genres. This series has sent me on an emotional rollercoaster. At times Kincaid did seem a little overbearing/controlling but the toxic side of me enjoyed every minute of it. It’s something about a man being a leader, provider, and protector. I loved how he apologized when Nari would get upset but he stood his ground behind his reasoning. This installment was a little more slower paced than the first but it didn’t take away from the story for me. I would definitely recommend this series to anyone who loves to read.

I’ve read the first book, You Could Do Damage, not once but twice! I was on the edge of my seat waiting for book two and, You Could Do Damage Too did not disappoint!
One of the things I admire most about K.C. Mills is her talent for crafting flawed characters with hearts of gold. The way she tells her stories are the perfect reminder that we should never judge a book by its cover, there’s always more to the story. And Nari and Kincaid? They are the epitome of this. Complicated, a little rough around the edges, but ultimately, two people whose love runs deep….not just for each other but for those closest to them.
Their emotional depth is what really pulled me in. At the core, they’re just two people carrying the weight of past wounds, unitizing the only way they feel they can protect each other while searching for security, acceptance, and a place to belong.
Mills explores their individual struggles and the way they navigate life as a unit with raw honesty and depth that made their story incredibly relatable.
The suspense kept me on edge in the best way—just the right amount to keep me turning the pages late into the night. And the way Mills handles the theme of family? Powerful. She reminds us that family isn’t always about blood - it’s about loyalty, love, and who stands beside you when things get hard.
I truly enjoyed this book immensely.

Kincaid x Nari
We’re back again with Kincaid and Nari’s intense relationship. This book picks up where the first one left off. Nari is trying to find her footing in this new lifestyle and is still insecure with Kincaid’s past. However, we see her finding her voice and purpose in this book. She manages to maintain that special power over her husband that makes him weak for her.
Kincaid is still the force to be reckoned with. He’s a boss, a provider, a protector and loves intensely! In this book, his mask slipped a few time and the narcissist spilled out showing just how commanding, controlling and possessive he can be….even though it’s done all in the name of love and the need to make sure his wife is safe. I gave him the side eye a few times, but I guess I can find a place for him on the book boyfriend list.
While I thoroughly enjoyed the first installment of this series, this book missed the mark a bit. It felt like we were taking the long way to get to the destination. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing wrong with the scenic route, as long as the “scenery” is satisfying. It seemed like I was rereading the same scenes over and over again….they would have a misunderstanding or a moment of insecurity, they would make up and then have mind blowing sex….over and over again. Even though it was beautifully written, it became redundant and had me longing for that WOW factor.
This wasn’t my favorite read by K. C., but it wasn’t terrible. She will always be one of my go to authors.
Thank you NetGalley, and Black Odyssey Media for this eARC in exchange for my honest review

As much as I love a slow burn, this one was dragged out a little too long, especially for a second book. Regardless, I still loved Kincaid and Nari and enjoyed this book and the conclusion to this duet.

Okay, so if you read “You Could Do Damage” you know it ended on a cliffhanger that left us all wanting more!
Well in a couple of months you will be able to read “You Could Do Damage Too” and I guarantee you will love it just as much as the first book! Nari and Kincaid are still a favorite couple of mine! They both have strong personalities and even stronger chemistry! Their relationship is tested in many ways in this book!
I don’t want to give away too much…but just know when I started reading I couldn’t put it down! I literally was glued to this book! I can’t wait to add the physicals of to my collection!

This was good but not good as the first book, let’s be real. The first book had us on the edge and wanting more and more. Book 2 felt like a drag but I was so invested with the characters, I had to know how it will go. I’m glad we got some closure on some things.
Kincaid is still Kincaid!
I enjoy the book overall but I was just expecting more. The suspense could been hype more.
I do feel like the miscommunication between Kincaid and Nari was getting on my nerves. They both have a lot of growing up to do!
Thank you, Black Odyssey media, for the arc!

You Could Do Damage Too left me feeling emotionally raw and equally satisfied! Taking this journey with Kincaid and Nari has been a roller-coaster! You ever met a couple that is so much alike but so different at the same time? That's The Akels for you. Both are stubborn and too prideful at times which caused a lot of their friction. I love that Kincaid never has any problems apologizing to Nari when he knows she is upset, but doesn't apologizes for his actions, he always will stand 10 toes on protecting her and making sure she remains "untouchable". We really get to see Nari grow as a women, wife, daughter, and friend, she found her voice from years of being unheard and I'm so glad that she found her footing as Mrs. Akel. This is a beautiful unconventional love story, that started off as an arranged marriage that blossomed into unconditional and undeniable love between two people that deserve it the most.

Firstly, thank you Net Galley and Black Odyssey Media for this ARC of “You Could Do Damage Too”! After that cliffhanger on the first book, I had to know what was happening next. Secondly, I might be toxic because I love Kincaid’s whole vibe, like yes, put me in my place pls!
I feel like this wrapped up the story and loose ends very well. I love how Nari finally overcomes her insecurities and steps into being that b*tch (as she should). I also love how she stood on business when it came to her family members, that can often be a hard thing to do sometimes.
Overcoming vulnerability as a couple and individuals is not always easy but I love how Kincaid and Nari were able to grow and work through those moments. I was on the edge of my seat for the whole first half of the story but I feel as though it tied up loose ends and wrapped up the story perfectly! I look forward to reading more of K.C. Mills work as well as other BOM authors.

So good thank you for this part two I love it as I loved the first one a page turned and I will recommend
