K.C Mills did it again! This book was the continuation of “You Could Do Damage” and it was great. Things were wrapped up nicely and was full of suspense. I was at the edge of my seat reading, just waiting on that moment something happens. I loved how lovable the characters are, despite their flaws. Nari is so relatable and although her and Kincaid have many miscommunications, it doesn’t take away from the story. It’s part of life and actual relationships. Anybody in their place would have the same reactions. Everyone ended up happy which is great, I kept thinking oh no, the other shoes is gonna drop but I’m GLAD it didn’t. I loved the characters so much and they deserve all the good things.

I enjoyed this book just as much as book 1. The relationship between Nari and Kincaid progressed to an adult relationship. Nari had a lot of growing up to do to deal with her insecurities, and she did the work to become who she wanted to be. Kincaid still did not play about Nari and ensured she stayed untouched. His love and protection of her were beautiful. I loved Nari's relationship with her mother. They were all each other needed when it came down to the other family members. Endia's side of the family was trash and deserved to be put in their place. This story was the perfect conclusion. Everyone who caused them harm got handled, and all unanswered questions were answered. I wouldn't mind a novella on Endia, Nari's mom, to see her get her HEA with her boo.

Thanks to NetGalley for hooking me up with ARC of this book. I had just finished reading You Could Do Damage so this came right on time…especially after how book 1 ended!
You Could Do Damage Too follows Kincaid and Nari as they settle into their arranged marriage turned marriage for love. The drama follows them through their first year or marriage, so we see them navigate through it in this book.
In my opinion Kincaid came off more possessive than protective for most of the book & even though I understood why he had to be that way I don’t know that I liked it. It was evident he loved Nari down & would do anything for her (& did!) though.
In this sequel Nari struggled to settle into her new kingpin wife role & Kincaid was battling internal struggles of how to show up in his marriage.
Overall the drama kept me engaged with the book & I loved the character development the author gave us. There were a few gaps in timeline that made the pacing feel a little off but it was a good sequel to tie up the loose ends of book 1.

Gripping, Gritty, and Full of Heart
K.C. Mills delivers an emotionally charged, fast-paced story in *You Could Do Damage Too* that kept me turning the pages late into the night. The characters are layered and authentic, with flaws that make them feel real and relatable. I especially appreciated how Mills weaves love, loyalty, and pain together in a way that never feels forced—just raw and honest.
The dialogue felt natural, and the chemistry between the main characters was electric without being overdone. I found myself rooting for them, even when things got messy (which they do—in the best way). There’s a depth to the story that speaks to cycles of hurt and healing, and Mills doesn’t shy away from showing the complicated truths behind both.
If I’m being honest, I would’ve loved just a little more buildup in a few places—some transitions felt a bit rushed—but overall, it didn’t take away from the emotional impact or the power of the storytelling.
This is a book that makes you feel something, and for me, that’s what counts. K.C. Mills knows how to write characters who linger long after the last page.
Highly recommend if you’re into emotional, urban love stories with grit and soul.

I really enjoyed the ending to this book. I agree with others it’s not as good as the first! HOWEVER… I still really enjoyed the ending to the series ❤️
Kincaid I loved so much 🥵❤️ honestly he has my heart I would do ANYTHINGto be in an arranged marriage with him 😂
I loved watching Nari & Kincaid go through their struggles and come out on top ❤️

Ok let me start off by saying I enjoyed the first book that by the time it came to the end I didn't think a second book was needed. After reading the second book, I still stand by that. With the way the first book ended on that cliffhanger I was expecting more of that story line in book 2 and that didn't occur. We didn't really get a deep dive into the father until 70% into book 2 and for that I alone I gave this 3.25 starts.

Nari and Akel are married and Nari is trying to navigate Akel’s world. She feels like an outsider looking in and when confronted by a woman from his past she lashes out. We leave them both at a crossroads in You Could Do Damage and this book picks up right where that one left off with Akel stopping at nothing to keep Nari safe and Nari feeling betrayed.’
I loved this book. Nari and Akel have a lot to work through and Akel makes it plain that Nari is his world and now this family is his first priority. I loved the relationship they are building, even when they are at odds they are drawn to each other in a way that pulls them through the turmoil raging around them. Nari is fierce and she is Akel’s only weakness. There are some great elements in this story, Nari and the relationship she is building with her mom and Akel’s relationships inside and outside the organization. Friendship dynamics, OW drama, couple communication. This book has it all. I didn’t want their story to end. KC Mills did her thing with both books.

This was a good end to the series. I didn’t love it as much as I loved the 1st book but it still kept me entertained and I was invested in the characters. I think I expected more, especially after the events in the 1st book. There was less romance this time around.

Honestly this wasn’t as good as the first book ! It had some good moments but didn’t keep me entirely engaged. This started to feel the like an Urban Fiction with a romance subplot , where as the first one was opposite. I still enjoyed learning more about Nari & Kincaids journey .

You Could Do Damage Too continues where the previous book left off so I would recommend that readers read these books in order. This book was just as great a read as the previous book and ends with a HEA's for a few of the characters. Nari is still insecure and a bit naive, but eventually it was nice to see her being able to hold her own. Kincaid was possessive and protective when it came to his wife but with threats coming from Eli he had to be. The truth about what caused the Manchester and Akel feud over all these years was revealed and that's another hard truth he had to accept because the cause of it was because of something terrible that happened to someone he loved. I enjoyed Edina, Corinne, Darius, Alisha, Cast and a few other characters in this story and was happy to know their HEA's. The ending felt a bit abrupt to me, but the author gave us an epilogue so although it was abrupt, I was happy with the ending of this story after reading the epilogue. This story had threats, deaths, family and baby drama, insecurities, jealousy, steamy scenes, laugh out loud moments and more. I'm definitely looking forward to reading more books from this author.
