A beautiful, humorous story about the unbreakable bond of sisterhood, friendship, and love in all its forms.

The voice of the narrator is perfection for this story! The accent, the way everything was delivered with energy and passion, was CHEFS KISS.

I LOVED this book. What an incredible story!! I don’t want to spoil anything but Nadia is sick and this is her love story without telling him about her sickness. She’s getting her chance to be loved without any judgement and just having fun. I was here for all of it and the ending had my whole heart!

I was just so pleasantly surprised by this! Sometimes I worry about books that portray individuals with chronic health. Occasionally, the books because a “boo-who” about the main character. I felt that Betty did a great job of mixing the reality of lupus, with love and laughter. It’s definite recommend for me!

The audio book I handed this whole experience so much! I’m picky about my narrators and this one had me laughing out loud and just in love with this book. I thought the difference between character voices was very clear. I loved it!

I really enjoyed this on audio. Nadia was flawed in the right ways after receiving her diagnosis. Marco though… biggest teddy bear that you just want to squeeze so tight. Narrator did great!

Narration was done by Joy Nash. I thought she did such a great job bringing this book to life.
I thought the author did a great job shedding light on Lupus. I personally didn’t know much about this chronic illness, and through this book learned a lot about the disease.
I did however struggle with the main character, Nadia. I struggled with connecting to her and Marco. Their love story felt very rushed to me and felt very much like insta-love.

This book was incredible! If you like emotional love stories then this book is for you. This book had me both crying and laughing so much. The banter between the Nadia and all the characters was so funny and heartwarming. Definitely one of my best reads this summer and maybe even of the year. This story is beautiful, especially for anyone who has dealt with any illness or ever felt like they weren't good enough. This book really hit home for me. As a NJ Italian myself, I just loved the subtle Jersey Italian accent in the audiobook as well. I have been feeling a bit burnt out on romance books lately, but this one is really so unique in every way. There's even a little fun spice thrown in! I cannot recommend this book enough.

Betty Corrello has solidified herself as a new favorite romance author! Her dry and hilarious style never misses and always makes me laugh out loud, yet still endears me to the characters enough that I tear up at their emotional moments. She hits the balance between humor and tenderness perfectly.

I loved the banter in this book, but thought the relationship and their hilarious dynamic was well balanced with Nadia's personal struggles and health battles. I loved how Nadia's diagnoses were revealed in real time throughout the book, causing such an amazing emotional impact. Corrello's style is so readable and her characters never fail to make me fall in love.

The narrator of this audiobook perfectly captured Nadia's feisty attitude, stubbornness, and self-reliance, but also her tender and gooey center. As a Philly/Jersey shore girlie myself, this narrator really understood the assignment of this regional vibe.

I absolutely adored this book. The narration is fantastic! I learned so much about chronic illness’ like lupus and how it can affect a persons entire well being. I loved the relationship between Marco and Nadia and it was such a pleasure reading about them falling in love.

SHORT SYNOPSIS:

MY THOUGHTS:
This is my first Betty Corrello novel, but certainly not my last. Honestly, I knew nothing of this story before starting it. The cover was pretty and I figured it’d be a good summer read. And it was. But it was so much more.

I adored Nadia and Marco. Their banter and one-liners had my laughing out loud. Nadia’s chronic illness journey was heartbreaking and beautiful as she rediscovered who she is now. It was truly a beautiful story the world needed and highly recommend it for your summer reading.

I love this book so much and I didn’t think I could love it any more than I do, and the I listened to the audio.

Jay Nash makes these characters I love come alive. She hits every line with the right amount of heart or humor or any other beautiful emotion that Betty Corrello has crafted into this book.

Wow, this book was amazing! Betty Corrello wrote such a beautiful, funny, emotional, and super real romance about a young woman named Nadia, who’s just been diagnosed with lupus, and her whole “no-strings” thing with Marco, a former TV star, for one month. She’s determined to keep her illness a secret, and the way this story handled life, love, and living with a chronic illness was so, so good.

The chronic illness representation in this book was honestly one of the best I’ve ever read. Not only did I learn a ton about lupus, but the way the author captured what it’s like living with an autoimmune disorder felt so authentic and thoughtful.

And let’s talk about Nadia and Marco — I adored them! Their connection, the way they challenged each other and brought out the best in one another, it just felt so natural and sweet.

Also, I loved how the book was set up, with each chapter starting on a different day in May. It made it flow so well, and I literally couldn’t put it down. If you’re looking for something to add to your summer reading list, this one needs to be on it!

Words cannot express how much I want this book. As a person with Lupus. I felt everything this protagonist felt.. but I also thought it was a cute romcom. I also enjoyed the banter between the two. I was approved for an audiobook and recommend the audiobook. The narrator was excellent.

Thank you NetGalley and HarperAudio for an advanced copy of this audiobook.

This book beautifully captures the reality of living with lupus through Nadia, a strong and relatable main character. When her doctor sets her up with his cousin Marco, what starts as a temporary connection turns into something deeply moving.

Their relationship grows through shared vulnerability, balanced with humor and heart-melting moments. Meant to only last through May, their romance is tender, sweet, and rooted in the idea of loving someone fully, even their broken pieces.

A charming, emotional read that left me smiling and a little bit heartbroken.

(4.75⭐️) For fans of Hannah Bonam young, Betty Cordell is brining hot, sad girl summer! I truly related to this so much as someone with a very very similar disease and meds as the main character Nadia (I have Rheumatoid Arthritis, so my body attacks my joints instead of my organs like Lupus). The chronic illness representation is something that means more to me than I can even express. I heavily related to Nadia and thought her experience as a newly chronically ill person was extremely relatable and well done. I loved seeing her get to live her silly fun summer fling with a hot minor celebrity dreams (where’s mine!) I loved getting to see her accept herself and her illness and let herself be loved by this sweet man. Their chemistry and banter was everything, I was giggling and kicking my feet!! Overall, I highly recommend, and I will be reading Corrello’s other books from now on!!

I will say, check the content warnings and take care of yourself!

I really enjoyed Betty’s debut last year, so I was excited for this one! Overall, this was a really good follow-up. I think my only issue was that it seemed marketed as a cutesy rom-com but it had some very heavy parts (suicidal thoughts, addiction) that seemed to come out of nowhere. It was tastefully included, though, and I appreciated that, as well as the lupus rep.

I’m from NJ, so I loved the random NJ and Philly references. The author made Evergreen feel like a real Jersey beach town. I did kind of hate the dropping of the L-word within a few weeks of them meeting, but that seems to be the new norm in romance books.

First off, I just want to live in this cover! This book wasn't really on my radar, but someone told me to pick it up, and I'm so glad I did. As someone who deals with chronic illness, I related so freaking hard to Nadia. The way you can be fine one day and dead the next is so true. The doctor fatigue and the rewiring of your brain to slow it down is so demanding. All the while, people don't understand what you are feeling/going through and are worried, but also make snide comments about being lazy or crazy. I feel like the author was living in my head.

With all of that, this is a beautiful romance about Nadia and Marco, who meet through a mutual friend and decide to date each other just for the month they are in the Jersey Shore. But they soon realize that this carefree fling for the month just isn't enough! Except Nadia never told Marco about her lupus, which she thinks would kill the relationship. I really related to Nadia's feelings on how her health changes her life. Her thoughts on dating and her struggle to just want to be normal are so relatable. Overall this book will put you in all the feels and give you a fun and eventful romance to boot!

Read if you like a small town, a celebrity just for the summer romance, with chronic health and mental illness representation. Thanks to the publisher for the ALC in return for an honest review. This book is out now!

Wow. 32 Days in May completely caught me off guard—in the best way.

This book was sharp, raw, unexpectedly funny, and full of heart. Betty Corrello has this way of making you laugh out loud one minute and then quietly gut-punching you the next. I didn’t know I could feel so much in such a short span of time… but here we are.

The narration was so good—it felt like listening to a friend spill their heart in the most honest, vulnerable way. It added so much to the experience and made it feel even more personal.

There were a few moments where the pacing dipped just a little or the structure felt slightly uneven, but honestly? That didn’t take away from how much I enjoyed it. It was messy and real and beautifully human.

Would absolutely recommend—especially on audio. Just maybe have some tissues nearby.

I have tried this book multiple times, and every time I set it down, I don't feel the urge to pick it back up. I'm deciding to DNF and move on. I think the idea of this story is wonderful, and I will recommend it to others. I know it's getting a lot of deserved love, and I am so sad it just isn't working for me right now. Maybe I'll try again in the future.

This one was so much more than I expected. I loved this romance book that dealt with some heavier themes (chronic illness, addiction, suicide) while at the same time being full of humor. There were even times that I was getting stand up comedy vibes. I thought the author did a great job of depicting the Nadia's and Marco's struggles, and how they grew and changed and came to terms with what their respective lives would entail. I loved seeing their relationship unfold, and I also loved the friendships they had with others. Evergreen was a perfect backdrop for the story, and it sounds like a place we should all go to rest and rejuvenate sometime. This was my first book from Corrello, and I will definitely check out more from her in the future.
