This was a fun read, great for young readers. It would be a nice book to share with grandchildren or grandparents.

Such a a beautiful book! I’m glad the grandparents are getting some shine on them. I loved how it teaches that everyone’s grandparents are different, but they all still rock! This would be a beautiful book for grandparents to read on grandparents day at school to the class.
Also the illustration is beautiful!

Thank you NetGalley & Pat Benatar for giving me the opportunity to read the beautiful book.

I absolutely love this book. My grandpa taught me what it is to love music and what music can do in our lives. This book reminds me a lot of him. I would definitely recommend buying and reading it to any and everyone.

Thanks to #Netgalley for the ARC ebook.

A super cute kid's book that shows appreciation for all different kinds of grandmas and grandpas! I thought this was going to be more focused in on Pat and Neil, which would have been great, but I was pleasantly surprised to see it as a dedication to all grandparents out there!

My Grandma and Grandpa Rock was filled with beautiful illustrations! I loved the message that no matter what unique things your grandparents do, they love you. The rockstar couple used diversity and inclusive terms for children/families to relate to!

Thank you NetGalley and Sourcebooks for my complimentary copy in exchange for my honest opinion.

This book is a love letter to grandparents of all types, but especially those who rock! It starts by celebrating grandparents who love music and may be a little different, but also takes time to appreciate grandparents with a variety of names and careers. Not to mention the illustrations are joyful, dynamic, and full of diverse families. I’ll definitely be recommending this book to music-lovers and grandparents who are the bomb.

What a fun book!!

All about Grandma's and Grandpa's [with so many iterations of those name; that was fun to see] and how they ROCK!! [and not just in the musical way]. Filled with things our grandparents do to support us, teach us, inspire us and most of all, LOVE us, this book will become a quick favorite with littles and adults alike [who can tell stories about THEIR grandparents and how they lived] as everyone shares what they love and how they see the world.

Just delightful.

Thank you to NetGalley, Pat Benetar, Neil Giraldo, Tiffany Everett - Illustrator, and SOURCEBOOKS Kids/Sourcebooks Jaberwocky for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I received an electronic ARC from SOURCEBOOKS Kids through NetGalley.
All grandparents are special and this narrator tells readers about her grandparents. The two make music and perform (see the author). We see all the ways this set of grandparents interacts with their grandchildren and the love permeates every page. I love how the narrator also asks readers to think about how special each of their grandparents are and how they are connected. We see the focus on grandma and grandpa separately and together. The illustrations are full of energy and pull readers in to be part of the story.

What an amazing book, so funny and inclusive. I really love that it rhymes and flows. It shows all the different types of grandparents and there’s something for everyone to find themselves in while also opening the door to find out more about other cultures and learn more about what grandparents mean to different people. It was such a warm and fun book.

Great book for a music loving family! The illustrations were gorgeous, very clear, bright, and detailed. As for the writing, it was done in a rhyme but rolled easily off the tongue. It would make a great bedtime story for Grandma and Grandpa's house. I'd suggest for children 2-3+
Thank you, Sourcebooks Kids, for the advanced copy in exchange for a review.

Cute idea, but not a book I would buy for my grandchildren. I’m sure it will appeal to some parents if they can relate.

Such an adorable picture book! Perfect for grandparents and little ones alike. What grandparents are like and what they can do is so much more than the traditional stereotypes. My Grandma and Grandpa Rock! is a beautiful celebration of grandparents.
Thank you to Netgalley and Sourcebooks Kids for the advance copy.

My Grandma and Grandpa Rock! shows grandparents in a hip, fun and active way. It shows that grandparents can be adventurous, Grandparents can still have very exciting lives. Grandparents can be active in little ones lives.
A very fun read.

I love this book because it is not your typical grandparent book. It shows grandparents that go by many different names doing many different things. Just because someone gets older doesn’t mean that they can’t do some amazing things. Everyone’s Grandparent might be different but they all rock in their own amazing way. Such a lovely book to highlight how beautiful the differences can be, yet in the end they all love their grandchildren.
Thank you to Sourcebooks Kids and Netgalley for allowing me to read an advance copy of this title.

How cool is it to explore our family roots and celebrate the ones who gave life to our parents? The original cool people, Grandma and Grandpa, Me’ma and Papa, Big Mama and Pawpaw, each with their own flair, stories, and style. This book reminds us to celebrate them, reminds us of our family is uniqueness, and where we come from and show us how unique our journeys really are. And somehow, through all the differences, there's one thing that always connects us, MUSIC, our shared love for music. Whether it's old school soul, gospel, country, jazz, or hip-hop, music lives in our family bloodline. It plays in the background of Sunday dinners, cookouts, and front porch memories. Exploring our roots doesn’t just teach us history, it reveals the rhythm that keeps our family dancing through generations.

Beautiful illustrated book showing the wide range of grandparents from different backgrounds,
careers and interests. Introduces the way grandparents are addressed in different cultures. Above all is
the love grandparents have to share with family. Delightful addition to a child's library.

This is a cute story about some cools grandparents who rock. The story has beautiful illustrations the colors are bright and vibrant. This is definitely a much cooler set of grandparents than what some of us know. It gives us a variety of grandparents all different but all the same in what brings them and families together. My daughter thought it was cute and she enjoyed how they gave us a variety of representation.

So cute and fun to read! As a parent, I love story books that are playful and fun to physically read out loud to my kids and as an adult daughter of a Harley riding really cool mom who has the sweetest grandma role in my kids’ lives, I loved everything about this book that celebrates the uniqueness of grandparents that rock and all the love they have to give. Mom, PomPom (what my kids call their grandma that rocks) and kid approved! :)

This book was cute! I enjoyed the idea, but I thought the execution was a bit stilted. I enjoyed the story until the author started naming other names form Grandma and Grandpa and other jobs they could have. I don’t know this long of a list would appeal to children. The illustrations were pretty, but I felt that grandma and grandpa were depicted way too young.

My Grandma and Grandpa Rock! by Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo and illustrated by Tiffany Everett is such a perfect picture book for GenX grandparents. The sweet narrator walks the reader through all kinds of cool grand-people groups pointing out how we’re all the same despite what may seem different. The lyrical text is fun to read aloud. The bright, fun illustrations pop off the page and add such whimsy to the story.

My Grandma and Grandpa Rock! is a must-have for everyone who has or who is a cool grandparent.
