This book was so entertaining and addicting! The characters kept me hooked and the increasingly worrying story had me anxious for more!

Jane is the kind of chaotic, delusional main character I live for—equal parts hilarious and terrifying. So Happy Together is a sharp, satirical take on obsessive love, ambition, and the lies we tell ourselves (and everyone else). Think You meets a very unhinged rom-com. No jaw-dropping twists here, just a slow unraveling of one woman’s perfectly spiraling breakdown—and I was so here for it. Olivia Worley serves up sass, drama, and just the right amount of darkness.
Thank you Olivia Worley, St. Martin's Press, Macmillan Audio, and Netgalley for the advanced copy!

SO HAPPY I listened to SO HAPPY TOGETHER.
Three protagonists:
* Two females obsessed with the same guy.
* One narcissistic male who could be guilty of murder.
Who is the unreliable narrator?????
(I adore books with multiple unreliable narrators!)
I listened to the audiobook, expertly narrated by Michelle H. Lee.
From start to finish, it was impossible to press pause/stop while listening to this twisty and riveting tale.
WHY NOT 5 STARS?
The last chapters were not as strong as the earlier chapters.
Special thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
4.5 stars.

I absolutely loved this book. First things first, Jane is absolutely nuts. She's convinced the man she went on 6 dates with and then dumped her is in love with her. Being inside her head throughout the story was very insightful and the whole time you had to wonder if she’s an unreliable narrator or not. She was just a fun and dynamic character to follow that I really didn’t care about how boring and flat Colin (the MMC) was. I was super interested in finding out what was truly going on that I flew through this story. Also, the narration was perfect. Michelle Lee did so good at portraying the chaos that was our lead, Jane. If you want a fun, leaves you guessing, chaotic read for the summer, this is it.
Thank you to MacMillan Audio, Olivia Worley, and NetGalley for allowing me to listen and review!

It was just six dates—but Jane knows they’re meant to be. Too bad Colin’s moved on. And too bad Jane’s not letting go.
📚 Reasons to Read So Happy Together
A rom-com thriller – It starts with swipes and flirty banter, but quickly spirals into obsession, lies, and murder.
Unreliable narrator – Jane’s voice is charming, delusional, and utterly untrustworthy… in the best way.
Twisted love triangle – It’s not just about heartbreak—it’s about secrets that could destroy all three lives.
Obsession and identity – It captures dating in the digital age, toxic comparisons, and how easy it is to lose yourself trying to win someone else.
This book kind of morphs from something I kind of expected to something I didn’t expect, and then some. You don’t necessarily like that Jane is stalking her ex but you also don’t understand why he so abruptly breaks it off and lies to everyone in the process. You spend a lot of time weeding through the stories and explanations and suspecting everyone. But it was such a fast paced enjoyable ride. I really couldn’t put it down.

The obsessive plotting and self-justification of 'Crazy Ex Girlfriend' and 'You' meets the violent vengeance of PROMISING YOUNG WOMAN in Worley's SO HAPPY TOGETHER.
Premise: Jane is a twenty-something playwright and hopeless romantic living in NYC and muddling through the mess of dating apps. She thinks she's finally found the one in Colin, a sweet software engineer who respects her art, makes her feel safe, and takes the pressure off in the bedroom. They're soulmates. There's just one problem - after date number 6 Colin gives her the slip.
That's okay. It's only temporary. After all, Colin said he wasn't ready for commitment - eventually he'll be ready and then he'll come back to her. Right? But when Colin starts going steady with Instagram-perfect artist Zoe only a few weeks later, Jane is livid... and all the more determined to win him back.
I really enjoyed Jane (she reminded me so much of 'Crazy Ex-Girlfriend's Rebecca). She was clearly unhinged the whole way through, but also a pretty empathetic character in the way of a best friend you can actively see spiraling post-breakup. She was the book's greatest strength and almost could have made it a 5 star read (along with the pacing & plotting, which were also very strong).
I wanted Colin to be more 3D, but I understand why he wasn't - Jane's obsession has nothing to do with Colin and everything to do with Jane. I could have overlooked that and still considered it a 5 star read, but Zoe also fell a little flat for me. Her character had so much potential!
Even with Zoe's unrealized potential and Colin's abs-and-a-credit-card characterization, this was a really solid read. As I said before, Jane was incredibly easy to empathize with and the plotting was so tight I blinked and it was already the end of the book - there's no room to come up for air!
I listened to the audiobook, narrated by Michelle H. Lee, and I really enjoyed her read. She did a great job, while also getting out of the way of a really great story. Given how bingeable this book is (and how audiobooks are significanatly easier to integrate into real life duties than a text book) I strongly recommend this format for SO HAPPY TOGETHER.
Thanks, NetGalley and Macmillan Audio, for the audio ARC in exchange for an honest review.

There’s just something about a main character who’s spiraling that pulls me in—and So Happy Together understood the assignment. Jane is absolutely off the rails in the best possible way. She’s obsessing over a guy she barely dated, tracking him and his new girlfriend like it’s her full-time job, and convincing herself there’s still something between them. She’s delusional, impulsive, constantly getting it wrong—and I was all in. I love a narrator who’s a little (okay, a lot) unhinged.
This story takes obsession to a whole new level. What starts off feeling like a messy breakup spiral turns into something way darker, and the shift caught me totally off guard—in a good way. The pacing works, and I appreciated how much time we spend inside Jane’s head. It’s claustrophobic and chaotic, but that’s what makes it so addictive.
And let’s talk about the girl power—but like, in a feral way. Jane and Zoe are both a mess, and I loved them for it. Their dynamic is wild, raw, and just a little dangerous. The ending had me grinning—Jane learning something truly horrifying and deciding she’s fine with it? Iconic.

Really, really liked this author’s writing style and her characters. They felt real, the dialogue was good, the setting was great. The entire first half I felt like the main character was Jules from My Best Friends Wedding if she had truly nefarious motives.
The back half of this novel just got a little crazy. I still like the characters and the writing style but the plot was just bananas. Twist after wild twist after wild twist after wild twist on and on so many times it was almost confusing and definitely unbelievable. Lots of action without consequences, lots of unrealistic set ups, if you are a reader who is married to reality as I am where you need there to be some sort of tether to the real world or some sort of grounding to reality, this is not your book. That being said, I really, really liked this authors style, the writing, the pace and literally everything about it except the craziness. If you’re able to suspend your disbelief, this is a killer novel.
The narration for this audio book was also awesome. I listen while walking my dogs and we just kept going and going because it was such a good listen!

📖 Bookish Moments:
This was so good! OMG—Jane is something else. She is absolutely delulu in the best way, and yet?? I was rooting for her the entire time. Her inner thoughts were hilarious, oddly sincere, and made it really hard to fully judge her—even though she was clearly toeing the line of stalking. And once she and Zoe actually became friends? I felt even more conflicted!
Zoe was such a girls’ girl. When Colin was rude to Jane, Zoe immediately called him out and stood up for her—no hesitation. Their connection made things even messier… but then you were rooting for both of them.
And when you finally find out what happened to Jane—ugh. It just made me want to give her a hug.
The last third of the book was non-stop. Once things started unraveling, it didn’t let up. And just when I thought it was over… the epilogue came for me. Overall, I really enjoyed listening to this audiobook and loved how it all wrapped up.

Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the advanced listening copy. All thoughts are my own.

Jane believes she and Colin are meant for each other, but he breaks things off and starts dating someone else. Determined to win him back, Jane becomes obsessed and discovers a dark secret that will impact everyone involved.
Well, well, well, the hype surrounding this book was simply irresistible. Alas, the whole shebang felt a tad too much like a YA novel for my taste. The characters lacked the sophistication I crave, and the obsession levels were off the charts. The abundance of inconsistencies and the lackluster ending left me feeling deflated, and the incessant fixation was downright draining. It all seemed a bit too outlandish, and the overall experience was just okay. Some parts dragged on, and I found myself disliking the characters immensely. The premise showed promise, but the execution fell short of my expectations. Come on, enough with the obsession already! It did nothing for character development, and I found myself growing impatient with the whole ordeal.
In a nutshell, the concept was solid, but the delivery left much to be desired. I had to double-check if this was indeed a YA read, because these supposed young adults sounded more like angsty teenagers to me.
Despite my lukewarm reception, I still encourage you to give this book a whirl and form your own opinion. While it didn't quite hit the mark for me, it may very well strike a chord with you! If you're into twisted friendships, dark explorations of obsessive behavior, or simply enjoy a love obsession gone awry, this might just be up your alley. Dive in and be sure to share your thoughts with me. Let's compare notes, shall we?
The audiobook was engaging and kept me interested throughout. It left me wanting to know more. It could be one of those books where the audiobook enhances the experience if the written version falls short.
Thank you, Macmillan Audio, for the digital ARC copy. I am leaving this review voluntarily.

So Happy Together (Pub date | 6.3.25): Okay, so THAT was fun! Jane is seriously unhinged in a way that makes you feel sorry for her. (We’ve all been dumped and desperate, be honest lol) She was recently dumped by Colin after just six dates, but she truly believes they’re meant to be.
After learning of his new girlfriend Zoe, she puts a plan into place to win him back. In doing this, she begins to learn more about this couple. They are not what they seem.
Super fun thriller with a satisfying ending. Worth the read!
Thank you to Minotaur Books and Net Galley for allowing me to give my honest review.

Thank you NetGalley for the audiobook arc. I will say that this book blew me away. It started off with me thinking that this book is about a jealous and obsessed girl trying to get he ex back and break him up his current relationship. The twist and turns that this book took kept me guessing what was going to happen next.
She ends up running into her ex’s girlfriend and gets invited to a party, and befriending her ex’s girlfriend and his current friends. As time goes on she discovers that he killed and old ex girlfriend so her and her new friend try to solve the murder and get him to confess. The ending of this book just had my jaw on the floor. I would highly recommend to anyone who loves murder mysteries.

Who doesn’t love a crazy stalker heheheh. Man this book kept me interested and was such a crazy fast read! I love books that make me question everything and this book did that for sure! This definitely gave me vibes like a good girls guide to murder in just the youthfulness and fast paced of it all. Olivia did a great job fleshing out her characters and loved getting some past scenes to really understand the characters better. And I always love a little twist ending and this book did just that. So thanks to NetGalley and Minotaur books for this opportunity to read a really fun book!

I was expecting more You vibes, especially given the comparison. The story had too many underdeveloped elements, and while I enjoyed the ending, overall it was a meh read.

The love triangle from hell comes about when a woman is dumped by the man she’s sure is her soulmate. Sure she can, and will, win him back, she’s not about to let the fact he’s dating someone else stop her. Until the night she breaks into his home to discover something that has some serious consequences
