Jane is trying to find love in New York, and she thinks she has found it with Colin but after 3 months of dating, he breaks up with her. Soon Colin is dating Zoe, a super cool wellness influencer. Jane ends up befriending Zoe with secret hopes of rekindling her romance with Colin, for surely, he is her one true love, right?

I mostly listened to the audiobook for this one and I loved the narrator, Michelle H. Lee. She captured the unhinged desperation of Jane perfectly. When I started reading this, I read it with almost a humorous mindset as to how crazy Jane was. As you read on, you learn more about Jane’s past and I started really liking her. I even questioned if she was crazy or a product of her environment. I couldn’t stop reading and listening.

The plot itself was a little slow as the focus is mainly on Jane, but the highs of the plot stood out and felt unexpected and original. This is my second Olivia Worley book, and I didn’t love the first one I read so I was super happy when I finished this one and felt very happy with what I had just read.

The characters are a little stereotypical, but they have some intrigue and variety added to them that make them a little more unique. There are some violent twists that I should probably warn about, or you could just read it and see for yourself!

So Happy Together by Olivia Worley is a twisty, engaging popcorn thriller enhanced by Michelle H. Lee's excellent narration. From the start, Lee brings the characters to life.

The plot follows Jane, an obsessive female main character who becomes fixated on Colin, a man who dumped her after just six dates. When she unexpectedly encounters Colin and his new girlfriend, Zoe, Jane becomes convinced that Colin still has feelings for her. This obsession leads her to intertwine herself in their lives, uncovering secrets from Colin's past that add intrigue.

Worley's writing is fast-paced and filled with twists, keeping listeners on the edge of their seats. I was not sure where the story was going and enjoyed going along for the ride. Lee's narration enhances the experience, adding depth to the story.

Overall, So Happy Together is a thrilling listen that combines a captivating plot with outstanding narration. If you enjoy stories with obsessive female protagonists and plenty of twists, this audiobook is definitely worth your time. Michelle H. I really enjoyed this story by Olivia Worley. The dialog between the characters was really interesting and made them feel completely real. I was on the edge of my seat when Jane was sneaking into Colin's apartment. The narration was also excellent. So Happy Together is quite the rollercoaster! It's a great mix of one-sided attraction, obsession, delusion, and thriller with just enough murder to keep the reader on their toes. I mostly listened to the audiobook, but followed along in my ebook copy, too. As with any thriller, I don't want to give too much away, because I think it's best to head in mostly blind. But I finished this one pretty quickly, as I really needed to know what happened. The beginning was a bit confusing as it jumps right into the head of a character’s crazy, but it comes together and makes sense if you stick with it for a few chapters before setting it down. I recommend checking it out!

Thank you Olivia Worley and Macmillian Audio for the opportunity to review an audio ARC of this book! First off...LOVE the cover!! This is a contemporary thriller with some stalk-y vibes. The characters are all pretty unlikeable. This felt like a young adult book at times due to the main character constantly attempting to validate the actions of herself and those around her. I wish I had felt more tension or connection to the characters. The audiobook narrator did a wonderful job painting vivid images that really brought the story to life. 3.5 stars rounded up to 4.

Wow, I love a delusional girlie book! I feel like 2025 is the year of the delusional female character. I received the audiobook for review, and I think that Michelle Lee did a great job at narration. This book follows Jane who becomes obsessed with Colin a guy who dumped her after 6 dates. She runs into him and his new girlfriend Zoe and Jane believes that he truly still wants to be with her. She entangles herself into their life and finds out some secrets from Colin's past. I thought that the plot of this was nowhere near groundbreaking and I believe there was a really similar thriller that was released last year. That being said, it was quick and entertaining. I enjoyed this adult book more than Olivia Worley's YA books. I will continue to read her new releases! Thanks to NetGalley and Macmillian Audio for this ALC.

This was a wild ride. I didn't really know exactly what I was getting myself into, but boy did I find out! This story involves a woman who is slightly (majorly) obsessed with a boy she dated. He's since moved on, so she finds a way to get close to them both. I won't give it away at all because it's so much fun to watch play out as the story grows.
This doesn't take long to get into and it's hard to stop once you start with it. I'm still not sure how I feel about the ending, but I know I really enjoyed the time it took to get there.
I listened to the audio book of this one as well as read the book and I can recommend both. The narrators for the audio book were fantastic and brought this creepy little thriller to life.

The cover of So Happy Together caught my attention and after I read the book description I wanted to read it: We have a female stalker! And I did enjoy it. The novel takes place in New York City. Jane meets Colin through an app (as people do these days) and they have six dates; they sleep together and after that Colin ends it. But Jane knows they are meant to be together, so she starts stalking him! I was all about reading a female stalker! Jane worms her way back into Colin’s life and one day sneaks into his apartment, and discovers something that is shocking to her.

It would help if you know some about Hamlet and Ophelia as Jane is a playwright and written a play about Ophelia. I am not familiar with this play at all. I don’t feel I missed out on anything not knowing a thing about Ophelia or Hamlet.

This story has a lot of twists and goes in several different directions. We have disappearances and murder. I enjoyed listening to this one. The narrator, Michelle H. Lee did a good job with her narration. Her interpretation of Jane was ‘fitting’ for a stalker and her narration kept me involved in the story.

The perfect popcorn thriller. Be ready to suspend your disbelief a bit, but this was a fun ride! The perfect thriller to throw in your pool bag- a quick read that kept me entertained throughout.

Jane and Colin are soulmates. He just doesn’t know it yet.
That’s the hook that pulled me in—and I wasn't prepared for the wild ride this book delivered.

From the very first chapter, So Happy Together sinks its teeth into you. Jane is not your average romantic lead—she’s obsessive, delusional, and totally unhinged. And yet, watching her spiral was absolutely riveting. I kept thinking, She didn’t just do that... oh, she did. It’s the kind of story that dares you to look away but makes sure you can’t.

What I loved most was how quickly the story unravels into something darker and far more twisted than I expected. I went in anticipating a quirky, borderline stalker love story, and what I got was a tangled web of manipulation, secrets, and outright danger. Every time I thought I had a character figured out, the plot flipped again. And as much as I wanted to judge them, I was completely hooked.

Zoe was also a surprise—she’s meant to be Jane’s romantic rival, but Olivia Worley makes her so much more layered than that. Everyone in this book is flawed and unpredictable, and it just adds to the tension. As the secrets start to spill, the story picks up speed until it’s impossible to put down. I tore through the second half, needing to know just how far things would go.

If you're into books with morally grey (or straight-up delusional) characters and enjoy watching a narrative twist itself into darker and darker knots, this one is for you. It's part psychological thriller, part cautionary tale about obsession—and it sticks with you long after the last page.

So Happy Together is a twisty and dramatic Social Thriller that should be read as a warning about the potential hazards in modern dating. Singletons listen up!!

This story follows Jane, a 24-year old, aspiring NYC-playwright. Jane meets Colin, her perfect person, via a dating app. She can hardly believe her luck. He's too perfect. Sadly, he breaks things off after only 6-dates. Jane doesn't see it as forever though, just a bump in the road of their longer term relationship. She'll do anything to make it so.

Then Colin starts dating Zoe, a up-and-coming New York artist, who also appears to be quite successful in various online space as an artistic influencer. Zoe may have a lot, but Jane knows Zoe will never be able to love Colin like she can, but what's she willing to do about it?

I enjoyed this novel quite a bit. The audiobook was well narrated and kept me engaged during a very long solo road trip. Nevertheless, the story itself was a bit of a mixed bag for me, particularly in the second-half. The beginning was super engaging and gripping, but the further it went, the more it started to lose my attention. It almost got too twisty, if that's possible?

With this being said, I did still enjoy quite a few of the twists thrown into this wild tale. Also, I appreciated the risks the author took with the story. It's not your typical Dramatic Thriller and actually went a lot darker than I expected.

I think for me, the most difficult area was towards the end. There were so many things popping up, and some were hard to track, so it felt muddled. I'm still not entirely sure I understand how exactly everything played out. I think where the author really succeeded here was with the creation of the characters. I love an unreliable narrator, and Jane seemed like one, but she wasn't the only character in this story who you couldn't necessarily believe.

I liked how the author played with the abundant psychological manipulations of this cast of characters. It had me doubting everyone, and I sort of love that. I also really enjoyed the New York setting, and just that whole feel of being a young person, transplated to NYC, trying to make a go of it. You're amongst millions of people, but it can be such a solitary endeavor.

Overall, I definitely vibe with Worley's ideas and character work, even if the execution wasn't perfect in this one. This is the 2nd-novel I have read from this author, and I'm definitely excited to read more. You never really know what you're going to get.

I am here for the unhinged characters 😂 just deducting a star because I thought the murderer was obvious. However, I still very much enjoyed this listen! It's marketed to fans of You and I'd say that's very accurate.

To put it plainly, Jane is a psycho. She’s obsessed with Colin, who she went on a few dates with after meeting on a dating app. Then he loses interest in her after they sleep together. But she’s convinced he’s the one and proceeds in stalking him. She ends up befriending his new girlfriend Zoe in order to get close to him. Soon, she’s torn between her new friendship with Zoe and her obsession with Colin. But suspicions arise that make Jane suspect Colin is a murderer, but that just makes her want to protect him even more in order to win him back.

OK, so, Colin was a jerk and not worth anyone obsessing over. But Jane channeled all her loneliness into her obsession for Colin, which I prefer over her wallowing in self-pity. It was entertaining to see what crazy thing this psycho girl would do next, which made this such a fun read.

Michelle H. Lee did a great job narrating the audiobook. So while this book is available for free with #KindleUnlimited, I recommend the audiobook if you can get it.

The characters were crazy. I think Jane was delusional about her relationship after a few dates. While there wasn’t much character development, I felt there was a good build up of suspense.
I think this was a good thriller for the summer.

First off - I thought the twists in this were great. I didn’t see the big major one near the end coming pretty much at all. I think the writing style was done well and the characters each stood out to create this thriller.

The trouble always begins with a mediocre man 😂 Olivia did such a great job and slowly giving clues that bruh was a dud. Give me those bread-y crumbs.

Finding love isn’t easy anywhere, but Jane is finding that it’s especially difficult in New York City. She moved there to go to NYU and stayed on to be a playwright. Now she’s 24 and tired of dating around. She wants to find someone special, but using dating apps just isn’t getting her where she wants to be.

And then she matches with Colin.

Colin had messaged her about her nerdy comment about the Oxford comma, so Jane knew right away that he was a keeper. He showed up for their first date, and they had a really good time. He hadn’t even tried to kiss her on that first date. It wasn’t until their sixth date, a magical evening at the Botanical Gardens, that they’d spent the night together. And that was when Jane knew she’d found someone she could spend the rest of her life with. And it was the next day that Colin dumped her.

Jane didn’t want to believe that it was over, so she tried to bump into him again. She took dates to the bar where they had gone, hoping to see him and find out what had happened. And it worked. Jane was out with a date, and she saw him. And she saw her. His date was tall and willowy with long chestnut hair. She seemed perfect. So Jane did the only thing she could do. She stalked her online until she found her.

Zoe was an Instagram influencer, popular for her inspirational videos encouraging her followers to manifest what they want. Jane starts following and saying her own mantra to manifest the future she wants for herself (with Colin). Zoe notices her and invites her to Colin’s birthday party. Jane is confused about that until she realizes that Colin had lied to Zoe about they knew each other and said that he knew Jane from college, even though he had gone to Penn State. Jane plays along though and ends up at Colin’s birthday party. She ends up hooking up with his roommate Ben that night, figuring that would be an easy way to stay in Colin’s orbit until he could figure out that she was the one he wanted to be with.

But as the weeks go by, and Zoe befriends her, Jane feels like she has a true friend for the first time in a long time, maybe her whole life. But she still feels a connection to Colin and thinks they will ultimately end up together. But when Jane learns about some sketchy things in Colin’s past, Jane is faced with a decision. How far will she go to protect him? And how far will she need to go to protect herself?

So Happy Together is a twisty thriller about the secrets we try to bury and what we have to go through to keep buried. It’s about obsession and love, and all the choices that go into staying true to the dream you are trying to manifest. But really, it’s just bonkers, filled with twists and new stories and lies and betrayals that make your head spin after a while. But mostly it’s one of the most entertaining thrillers I’ve read in some time, so if that’s what you’re into, then you are in the right place.

I listened to the audio book of So Happy Together, narrated to perfection by Michelle H. Lee. She embodies Jane and her insecurities as well as Zoe and her influencing, and all their hidden agendas and secrets. There is a lot happening in this story, and it could have been difficult to keep it all straight, but I felt like Lee’s confidence with the story kept me on track, so stayed with her through every scene. I raced through this audio book in one day, because I just had to know how we got from that crazy beginning to the end, and I was not disappointed. This book is a fireball, and the audio brings it all to life.

⭐️⭐️⭐️ – A Twisty, Offbeat Read with Unpredictable Characters

So Happy Together by Olivia Worley is a quirky, fast-paced story centered around friendship, obsession, and the fine line between love and control. It follows two girls whose bond takes a dark and unexpected turn, making for an unpredictable and wild ride.

I liked the overall concept and found the story to be entertaining, with some fun moments but I did find the book to be a bit predictable. The plot was okay – not entirely what I expected, but it kept me curious enough to keep listening. I enjoyed the characters in a strange way; they were unique and definitely left an impression. The story had a slightly weird tone, but that worked in its favor at times.

That said, I don’t use the word “crazy” lightly, but the two main girls in this story were truly over the top. Some of the plot twists and decisions felt far-fetched and made it harder to stay grounded in the story. The tone shifted between fun and chaotic, which might work for some readers but felt a bit jarring to me.

The audiobook, narrated by Michelle H. Lee, was a highlight. Her narration was clear and well-paced, and I had no trouble distinguishing between the characters. Her performance definitely helped keep me engaged throughout.
