So Happy Together is a dark, twisty exploration of love and obsession in the digital age. Fans of psychological thrillers that delve into the complexities of the human psyche will find this novel an engaging read. While it may not offer groundbreaking insights, its fast-paced narrative and morally ambiguous characters make it a compelling addition to the genre.

This was surprisingly a good read! I wasnt sure if I was going to like it because the whole obsession with her ex came off as more of a middle school vibe vs an adult woman wanting her ex back, but it stopped bothering me as much once the story got going. I enjoyed the twists and turns in the story and thought the writing was very good. My only complaint was the ending. It left me wanting and I’m not sure if it’s because there will be a part two or if the author wanted us to use our imagination on how things ended.

This was a fun thriller with major crazy ex-girlfriend vibes with Jane. She is over the top obsessed with Colin who she believes is her soulmate. Her actions are totally questionable and even more so when she befriends Colin's GF, Zoe.
The thriller is twisty and entertaining. Michelle H. Lee did a great job on the narration.

Audiobook Review: So Happy Together by Olivia Worley
Narrated by Michelle H. Lee
I received this audiobook from NetGalley, and I truly appreciate the opportunity to discover and read new authors and share my thoughts.
So Happy Together was my first book by Olivia Worley, and while it wasn’t a perfect fit for me, it had some interesting elements that kept me engaged. The story sets up with one expectation and then completely pivots in a direction I wasn’t anticipating, which I did appreciate. Just when you think you know where it’s going—think again!
The plot follows Jane, a character who is obsessively attached to her short-term ex-boyfriend Colin. While her intense focus on him became a bit repetitive and, at times, frustrating, the unraveling of the story kept me curious enough to stick with it. I was able to predict part of the ending, but only a small piece—there were definitely surprises I didn’t see coming.
Michelle H. Lee, the narrator, did a great job. Her voice was pleasant, her pacing was smooth, and she conveyed the characters' emotions well. I had no complaints about the audio quality or performance—it was a solid listening experience overall.
I love audiobooks because they allow me to multitask, and this one accompanied me well through daily routines. While So Happy Together wasn’t completely for me, it wasn’t a total miss either. I’m glad I had the chance to listen and would still be open to exploring more from Olivia Worley in the future.
Thank you again to NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to and review this audiobook!

3.5 stars
Jane is really into Colin. Colin breaks up with Jane (can we call it a break up after six dates? Well...). Colin is now dating Zoe. Jane is now determined to connect with both of them in wildly inappropriate ways. The kids are not okay.
When this novel begins, Jane seems like the typical obsessed 20 something who just isn't getting the hints about this person who is clearly perfect for her, even though they can't even make it into the double digits of dates. She's a creeper, and she does not accept anyone's social cues. This becomes most obvious when she intentionally runs into Colin and his new partner, Zoe, early on, and she accepts an invitation to a social event at which she is clearly not wanted.
While some of the novel proceeds in extremely expected ways, Worley does throw in some twists that make the experience more fun for readers and less so for the characters. Come for the creeper/obsessed "romance" vibes and stay for the camp.

Thank you NetGalley & Macmillan Audio for the ALC
The novel begins with Jane's plan to get Colin back. Girlie needed some friends to tell her he's not that into you and to put her energy towards healing herself but where's the fun in that? This was a twisted tale of dating, relationships and wild conclusions.
If overthinking burned calories -as they say - Jane would be SNATCHED from the amount of overthinking she does. It was fun listening to her reach absurd conclusions and work through problems.
I really enjoyed the audiobook narration by Michelle H. Lee. The tone and pace were perfect for the story and created an immersive atmosphere.

If two is company and three is a crowd, then Jane is definitely delusional… or is she?
I really enjoyed this audiobook. The story kept me intrigued from beginning to end, with good character development and a narrator who brought the entire cast to life in a really engaging way.
One of the standout elements for me was the portrayal of Jane—a young woman deeply in love with her soulmate, Collin. Poor Jane sometimes seemed very disconnected from reality, which honestly made for some darkly comical moments. I found myself saying, “Really, girl?” more than once while listening. Her perspective and the way she explained things in her mind added an offbeat energy to the story that made it feel fresh, even when some of the plot points were a bit predictable.
There were a few moments in the second half of the story where I felt the pacing dragged just a little, with a bit too much filler—but I remained invested throughout.
This is a fun, suspenseful listen that’s perfect for fans of character-driven thrillers with a psychological twist.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for the advance listening copy.

Oh goodness, this was an interesting little thriller. This follows Jane, an obsessed ex who is pretty much stalking Colin. She has gone on countless dates at a restaurant near his house in hopes of running into him, but when she finally does, he is with a new girl, Zoe. When Jane happens upon Zoe's TikTok page she can stage a chance run in at a place they are at and she gets sucked in to the world of Colin and Zoe. Except Colin lies and says Jane is a college friend, but no matter, Jane will make it work, and she is instantly befriended by Zoe. As Zoe and Jane become friends, Jane can get closer to Colin, and she discovers some secrets that he doesn't want anyone to know. In Jane's messed-up brain, these secrets will bring them closer together, and he will dumb the perfect Zoe and come back to Jane. Then Zoe and Jane are brought in together with Colin's secret, and the more they dig, the crazier things happen. People die, we remember people dying, and everyone has secrets.
So...I still am not sure how I'm feeling after reading this one. Jane clearly needs a therapist; after all, she went through growing up, and she clearly needs help. At the end of the day, Jane just wants to be loved, but she feels like she needs love from a certain someone whom she can forgive no matter what, even if the what is murder. I mean, what's murder between soul mates? I mean, she tries so hard to be noticed by Colin that she ignores the perfectly amazing people who are interested in her. Normal people, less manipulative people. This book is full of manipulation of some kind. Jane is sweet but so gullible and naive that you just want to shake her and say, "What's wrong with you?" But it's a book, so you can't do that. At the end of the day, the book was entertaining, full of crazy and campy scenarios, but engaging because you want to know how everything will play out. Then it plays out...and the epilogue just confuses everything right back up. It's a good little thriller with twists and turns and more twists.

Newly single Jane can't get over ex, Colin. When she runs into him and his new girlfriend, she finds herself befriending the comer Zoe.
This was one twisty thriller!
First person thrillers where you have to question not only what they are telling you but whether or not you like them is a new trend in thrillers. Worley does this really well in this one. Jane is obsessive and makes very questionable decisions for all the wrong reasons. But you still find yourself supporting her as the anti-hero. I wanted her to find love and to find friendship. I realized early that you can't trust anyone in this book, which came in handy as I was reading. Colin and Zoe are also questionable. I found myself not liking them at various points of the story. But you know it's a good thriller when even with all of that, you still really enjoy the story. This one brings out the worst in people, but you still want to know what is happening.
I also really liked the Hamlet connection in this. That was a fun addition.
The narration was perfect. The only way to read a first person thriller with an unreliable narrator is though an audio that has an amazing narrator. This one has that in Michelle H. Lee! She pulls you right into the story. Her narration gets you into Jane's head and traps you in the story with that.
All in all, this was a great thriller that really keeps you guessing!
Thank you to the author and publisher for the gifted copy!

Olivia Worley crafts a compulsively readable story about obsession and the dark side of love. The novel follows Jane, who cannot move on from her ex Colin after he begins dating the seemingly perfect Zoe. What starts as relatable heartbreak escalates into disturbing territory as Jane's fixation grows more intense.
Narrator Michelle H. Lee delivers an outstanding performance, perfectly capturing Jane's unraveling mental state. The audio production enhances the story's tension, making this an especially gripping listening experience.
Worley skillfully manipulates reader sympathies throughout the narrative. Just when you think you understand a character, new revelations complicate your perspective. The plot builds to an ending that is both satisfying and unsettling.
The novel excels at making extreme behavior feel disturbingly plausible. You'll find yourself unable to stop listening as the characters make increasingly questionable choices. The psychological tension builds masterfully until the final moments.
With sharp writing and complex character dynamics, *So Happy Together* earns 4/5 stars. Fans of psychological thrillers will appreciate this twisted take on romance and obsession. I look forward to reading more from Worley.
Thank you to NetGalley and Macmillan Audio for providing the ALC.

Whilst reading this book, I felt a great amount of anxiety, the majority of the time for the main character.
She clearly had feelings for a guy who barely knew that she existed and she borderline on the psychotic line with the way she described how she just “knew he loved her. He just wasn’t aware of it yet“
This wasn’t one of my favorite books I have ever read, and the ending just had me kind of confused. I’m not sure what the outcome of it was. I had to go back and listen to it again because I felt like I missed something.

Enjoyed this one, kept me curious and held my attention through the entire read. An easy lovable FMC that will infuriate you and make you want to protect her at the same time.. Jane was completely obsessed, creating her own narrative and delusions versus facing the true status of her & Colin’s relationship. When Colin’s new girlfriend Zoe enters the picture, the 3 of their lives intertwine in twisted, shocking & unthinkable ways! Overall a great read that makes me want more from this author. The narration was top tier in this audiobook. Thank you Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for this advanced listening copy. All opinions are my own.

Many thanks to NetGalley, St Martin's Press | Minotaur Books and Macmillan Audio for gifting me both a digital and audio ARC of this wild thriller by Olivia Worley, with the audiobook narrated by Michelle H. Lee. All opinions expressed in this review are my own - 4 stars!
Jane has only had 6 dates with Colin, but that's enough to know that he's the one. So when he dumps her and starts dating Zoe, Jane is sure she can convince him that they belong together, even though Jane actually begins to like Zoe. But when Jane breaks into Colin's apartment, she discovers something that will change all their lives.
Welcome to crazy town - the good kind of crazy - when nothing is as it seems, which is what makes this story fun. So suspend real life and delve into this one as blind as possible, because the twists and turns keep coming. A story of NYC ambition, obsession, with unreliable narrators. The audiobook narration was great - plus that cover!

I was so excited for this one, and I think I hyped it up too much in my mind.
It was kind of predictable? I definitely saw the end coming. I just felt meh through the whole story line. As someone who consumes a lot of thrillers, this one just unfortunately feel flat for me. This book is being advertised as for fans of "You" and it is nothing similar to that at all. I was expecting more suspense, core, unhinged-ness and what I got instead was a story of 20 somethings in NYC trying to find their way, with a murder twist that fell flat.
I would say to pick this book up if you are trying to get into thrillers and are more on the side of something not as scary as a traditional thriller.

Remember that crazy ex-girlfriend meme? That’s basically this book. The mix of characters kept this one moving. It was fun being inside Jane’s delulu brain and seeing how she really believed in her nonsense. The ending was unique as I didn’t see what was coming and it made it stand out a bit more than a typical stalker story. The narration was strong so I would give this one a listen.

Thank you to NetGalley, Macmillan, and Macmillan audio for the advanced copies in exchange for an honest review!
This was completely unhinged, and I was here for it! I loved the MC Jane and her fixation on her ex boyfriend, and the secrets that are uncovered along the way. I always enjoy being inside the mind of someone who is not well. This woman has issues, and she’s not going to deal with them. She becomes an obsessed stalker, ingratiating herself into her ex’s life completely. But maybe he’s not so great himself.
I loved this on audiobook. Hearing her thoughts and justifications really kept this book moving for me. But I will say that I didn’t care for the ending. It would have been a solid five star read if it hadn’t gone the direction it went. Still overall an entertaining read.
If you support women’s rights, but also women’s wrongs, then this book is for you!

I love an obsessive girl thriller! It’s very fun to be inside the mind of someone who rationalizes every insane thought they have. Jane was exactly that!
You spend the whole book thinking “girl…please be forreal” but it’s entertaining every step of the way. The gall of this girl!
There were turns I didn’t see coming, which I enjoyed. I think it had the potential to be a 5 star read but there were some elements I wasn’t sold on. Overall, enjoyable, well narrated listen!
Thank you to Macmillan Audio and NetGalley for the ALC!

Book Review - So Happy Together by Olivia Worley
Narrated by Michelle H. Lee
Jane, a struggling playwright, continues to pine over her ex-boyfriend, Colin. She just knows that they are meant to be together; she just needs to convince him. When out on an awkward first date with a guy whose name is Axel, she spots Colin across the restaurant with another woman. When their eyes meet as Colin is exiting the restaurant, Jane just knows this was a sign and that Colin will realize what they had and will try to contact her. As the days go on, and there is no text or call from Colin, she becomes disheartened. In scrolling through reels on her phone, she discovers tarot reader videos. One particular reel stands out; this is the girl that Colin was with at the restaurant. Jane immediately hatches a plan to friend this woman who calls herself “Zoe Ember.” This slow burn thriller hooked me right from the start as I grew increasingly intrigued as the plot unfolded.
After investigating Zoe’s profile further, Jane begins frequenting the same coffee shops as were referenced in the reels. After meeting her in person, Jane discovers that Zoe is actually a really great person, someone with whom she could definitely form a lasting friendship. My allegiances swayed throughout the story; the story is told through one voice, Jane’s, and the listener is privy to all of Jane’s innermost thoughts as the story unfolds. She is conflicted as Colin swears he didn’t invite hurt anyone, but Zoe insists that he is the one responsible. Who should she believe? The narrator, Michelle H. Lee, did a beautiful job giving voice to Jane as she struggles to find the truth about Colin and the secrets he seems to be keeping. There are just so many questions: Is Colin really responsible for so many strange happenings? Will she be able to look beyond all that he’s done in order to ensure that they’re together? Is Zoe telling the truth about Colin?
There were times in which I felt like the plot became a little muddled, but after going back and replaying certain parts, everything seemed to fall into place. As the book neared the last few chapters, I had my theories, but did not see the twist coming at all!
Thank you so much to Netgalley, Olivia Worley, and Macmillan Audio for providing this ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book is unhinged in the absolute best possible way! Since I started this book I was immediately drawn in by the characters and the FMC deranged thought process but I was completely eating it up. We follow Jane a screen playwright in the midst of producing a new play with a new perspective to Ophelia from the infamous Shakespearean play. Jane is trying to find love and her obsession with a previous lover draws her to uncovered me secrets she can’t come back from. This book was such a fun thrilling ride with so many interesting plot twists and a wonderful theatrical performance. As a true Shakespearean fan I love the concept of incorporating Shakespearean plays into this book. The concept of the FMC being a playwright was so unique and gave the book such an interesting and refreshing perspective. I highly recommend this book to any thriller lovers looking for their next thrill. The narrator did such a great job bringing this book to life!
Thank you NetGalley and Mc Millán audio for the advanced copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.

I was not a huge fan of this book from the beginning, but I did finish it. It seemed to follow the plot of every other one of these type types of novels/thrillers these days and was predictable. I found it overly complicated in the ending was disappointing, which I should’ve expected. I would not recommend buying this book.
