Thank you Montlake for the ARC!

Soooo this one scared me right out the gate 🙈 gosh dang I’m such a baby. I know it’s a romcom thriller but for me, it was thriller with funny things thrown in. But that’s a me problem!

This book was funny, spicy as all get out like you’d expect from Trilina, and definitely keeps you intrigued.

For me, it is a no simply because I’m a big fat scaredy cat. But others are going to LOVE.

WOW! WOW! WOW!

This book sucked me in. The insta-lust was off the charts. The chemistry between Noah and Goldie was from another planet.

These two thought they had it good, all right in the world until the secrets start spilling out.
Goldie felt betrayed, Noah had regrets.

I started to try to piece things together but Trilina tricked us! HA!

92% you get to the freaking twist, jawed dropped and everything!

"SHE'S MINE"

eek! I can't wait for the next book!

Thank you Montlake and Trilina Pucci for giving me the opportunity to read in advance.

Seriously cute rom com thriller! Love Puccis' writing. She did an excellent job branching out from her norm!

This was so good! I laughed as much as I swooned because Noah and Goldie were literal perfection. Summer camp is never a good idea, add in a few revenge murders, some trauma bonding and a haunted house, you get this wild ride of story. The meet cute with these two was so cute and a haven't laughed so much at one in a while. Goldie was such a relatable character and a total scaredy-cat! Also Chase and Evie's banter? Spectacular. Their whole dynamic is hysterical. The plot twist at the end? Chef's kiss because I abolutely did not see it coming at any point during this book. Absolutely recommend if you want a funny, spicy af, whodunit type of story this one is for you! I cannot wait for this one to hit y'all.

One Killer Night is a wickedly fun mashup of rom-com, slasher flick, and swoony, sex-charged chemistry. It’s a book that knows exactly what it is—a flirty, blood-spattered thrill ride with just enough heart to make you care and just enough heat to keep you hooked.

Goldie and Noah have an instant, off-the-charts connection—think Walgreens aisle meet-cute with fake blood and fangs, followed by flirtation so sharp it could slice you. The banter is clever, the chemistry magnetic, and the tension rides the line between hilarious and hot. And then just when you’re cozy in their sexy, candy-coated romance… the knives come out. Literally.

Pucci leans into classic horror tropes (the camp, the costumes, the secrets, the final girl energy) while still delivering the depth and emotional investment of a romance. The first half focuses on Goldie and Noah’s relationship, and while I loved their dynamic, I’ll admit I expected the horror element to arrive a bit earlier. When the slasher plot kicks in, it’s fast, twisty, and satisfying—but I did wish the creepy camp vibe had more time to simmer.

Still, One Killer Night is pure entertainment: equal parts sharp, spicy, and scream-worthy. It’s a must-read for fans of spooky-season romance, or anyone who wants their HEA with a body count.

Perfect for readers who love:

Halloween-themed romance

Slasher tropes with heart

Banter that bites

Tattoos, secrets, and sexy suspense

Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Love is patient.

Love is kind.

Love will stab you from behind.

If you’re in the mood for a romance read but make it sexy and slasher-y… look no further.

Noah and Goldie’s story hooked me right away and then kept me on edge. What starts as a fun and flirty meet cute turns into something I didn’t even know I needed in my life. A romance that was an edgy mix of banter and spice with a little blood and murder sprinkled in. All wrapped up with a twisty ending that basically slapped my upside the head cause I did not see it coming. This will make a great addition to your October TBR.

What I enjoyed;
🔪 Meet Cute
🩷 Sharp Banter
🔪 Family Secrets
🩷 Halloween Slasher
🔪 Steamy Romance

Thank you so much to Trilina and NetGalley for the advance copy and the opportunity to be an early reader.

OHHHHH MY GOSH.
I love Trilina's writing, so I was immediately itching to get my hands on this book. What I didnt expect was to find a story that appeals to everything I love: dark humor, slasher vibes, spicy romance. Think 'Lights Out' meets 'Bride of Chucky' meets 'Friday the 13th'. I belly laughed. I cried. I dropped my jaw.

One Killer Night is a genre mash-up that'll be perfect for the transition from summer to fall. It'll be a book I want to read every spooky season. I cant believe Trilina was sitting on this idea, but im so happy she's finally sharing it with us!

This was a very interesting read it’s a romance but also a slasher horror (not scary at all) put into one. It’s a hybrid type of book. Our FMC, Goldie and her sister Evie are out on Halloween going to a party. When they stop at a Walgreens to get fake blood for Evie’s custom. That’s when Goldie meets him… a dream of a man, our MMC, Noah. And that’s why our story really begins. I thought it was pretty funny. I laughed a decent amount. But reading the blurb and going off the title, I was under the assumption that this book was gonna take place in one night. It in fact does not. I really liked both of our main characters and I liked the relationship. They built over the course of the book that led to the last third of it where most of the action takes place. We still find out over the course of the book that there is a secret being kept and we don’t really know what it is and I did like that build. I thought it was well done. Overall the ending was fantastic. I really enjoyed the twist and I enjoyed the ending. I really hope there is another book that follows this one. I would really enjoy a book with Evie and Chase!
Thank you to Montlake for the complimentary copy. All thoughts and opinions are my own.

One Killer Night is a fun, flirty, and seductive ride that delivers on the banter, heat, and Trilina Pucci’s signature humor. I loved Goldie and Noah from the start—their chemistry was instant and electric, and their banter had me grinning constantly. The spicy scenes were incredibly well done, and both characters felt grounded and relatable in a way that made their whirlwind romance easy to root for.

The premise—a sexy slasher with a Halloween twist—was what drew me in, and Pucci’s writing style made it easy to devour the pages. That said, the pacing of the story threw me off a bit. The first 70% of the book focuses almost entirely on Goldie and Noah’s first year together, and while I enjoyed watching their relationship unfold, I went into this expecting a slasher vibe much earlier. The actual camp setting and horror elements didn’t kick in until very late, and when they did, it all felt a bit rushed. I found myself wishing the creepy, suspenseful part of the story had more time to breathe.

Still, One Killer Night is a unique blend of romance and horror with some killer one-liners, great character chemistry, and a lot of heart. If you're looking for something steamy with a spooky twist, this one’s worth checking out!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.5

i read this over the span of a week (because i’m always juggling like 4 books at once lol) but every time i picked it back up, i didn’t want to put it down. this was so addictive. the banter was on point, the chemistry was 🔥, and the spice?? perfectly done. trillina pucci knows how to bring the heat and the humor.

i loved the halloween vibes and the slasher setup—it had just enough spooky without going full horror, which is right up my alley. the thriller aspect itself was actually really fun and well done, it just came in a little too late in the story for me. i was definitely hoping for a more even mix of romance and suspense, but what we got still delivered.

definitely bookmarking this one for when october rolls around. it’s the perfect cozy-but-steamy fall read.

thank you to netgalley and montlake for the arc!

I was one of the lucky ones to snag a super early ARC through Net Galley.

Run, don’t walk when this bad boy comes out October 14th! It was so good! Absolutely adorable and funny the way Trilina knows how, AND those scary elements were on point! Complete 80s summer camp vibes. She even put one of my worst fears into the book. Loved the plot twit too. No spoilers though, so you’ll have to read it to figure it out!

Noah was the ultimate book boyfriend. Chase was the perfect sidekick and I really hope Evie caves. Goldie was the sweet and stubborn FMC and could relate. Loved the banter. Loved the spice. I’m gonna need book 2 ASAP!

If all you’ve ever read by Trilina are her fun, spicy why choose romances, this book will surprise you. This is a rom-com thriller, and it was excellent.

This book hooked me from page one and kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. It has everything you want in a thriller. There is mystery, intrigue, and one hell of a twist.

It’s also an excellently written romance. You still get the spice you love and expect from a Trilina Pucci book. If you’re one who usually skips epilogues, trust me when I tell you that this is one you don’t want to skip.

One Killer Night is a spicy, spooky rom-com thriller that delivers heat, humor, and Halloween horror in equal measure.
Goldie, an out-of-work writer dressed as a T-Rex, meets Noah, a tattooed handsome man with vampire vibes. What starts as flirty fun turns into a fast-burning romance with secrets, scares, and some seriously swoon-worthy spice.
Trilina Pucci serves up heat, heart, and horror like a pro. The chemistry? Electric. The banter? Top-tier. The slasher camp? Bloody delightful. It's sexy, twisty, and packed with more treats than tricks.

Sorry i cant say more, this book release day is in autumn. And I think it's perfect read for that time!!

3.5 stars
- WTF WAS THAT CLIFFHANGER!? IS THERE GONNA HE A SECOND BOOK? I don't know how to feel about this book. I'm saying 3.5 stars now but it may change in a few days. I couldn't put the book down but there were moments that felt dragged on. It's my first slasher romance and I'm not disappointed in the slightest. The twist definitely took me by surprise which is a good thing. I'd recommend to anyone who loves romance but what's a spooky Halloween story at the same time.

One Killer Night by Trili a Pucci

Yall, this book was such a trio in the best way! This was my first read by Trilina and I was not disappointed.

This book starts with one of the most hilarious meet cutes I've ever read. When Goldie Monroe ran into Walgreens on Halloween not to buy fake blood for her sister, wearing a full blown inflatable t-rex outfit the last thing she expected was to run into the man of her spiciest dreams.

Noah Adler is an aspiring sneaker designer who just needed to stop i to the store to fend off the feral children flooding his doorstep. Instead he finds Goldie. After some flirty and witty banter Goldie invites Noah to her sister special effects halloween party and he doesn't hesitate to accept.

Things with Goldie and Noah heat up quickly, and they find themselves in a whirlwind romance full of humor, connection, and spicey moments. But perfection can't last forever, Noah has a past he rarely talks about and when Goldie finds out he is hiding a dark secret their love shatters around them.

After Goldie agrees to go to a horror special effects retreat with her sister things start getting a little too real and old truths and shocking twists come to light.

This book was so well written, and when I though I had the ending all figure out the author totally flipped me on my head... and i LOVED it.

If you liked the vibe of the movie Heart Eyes, but wanted more romance and less gore, you’ll like this book.

After a chance encounter on Halloween, Goldie and Noah have a whirlwind romance but something is always lurking in the shadows and you don’t know when it’s going to jump out and attack. Noah has a secret… but the question is, is he a good guy…. Or bad guy???

This book’s main focus is on the romance, with some spice but throughout keeps you on your toes with some chills and you don’t know when it’s truly going to focus on that side of things. And when you think you’ve figured out the plot twist, in comes a curve ball. I loved every second.

I love TP and loved this thriller meets Rom-com mashup. The main characters were engaging and it was well paced from the get go. Plus who doesn’t like a Walgreens meet cute?!

Thanks to the publisher and NetGalley for allowing me to review.

I loved this! I love the connection between them! It was also like Mike Meyers vibes ! A definite must read! Never a dull moment! The Walgreens scene I giggled so much talk about a meet cute ! The fact she was in her costume getting tubes of fake blood and I’m sure she was not expecting to run into a total hottie ! Love the rom-com thriller vibes as well!
