SO GOOD. This book was everything I wanted and more.
First off—the meet-cute? Perfection. It’s the kind of spontaneous, flirty, electric moment you wish would happen in real life. Goldie and Noah’s chemistry is instant and addictive, and from that first encounter, I was completely hooked.
As a huge fan of both horror and romance, this mash-up hit all the right notes. The horror elements were just enough to keep the suspense high and the pages turning, without ever overshadowing the heart of the story. And the spice level? Chef’s kiss. Steamy, but not overdone—just the right amount to make their connection feel real and very swoon-worthy.
What really makes this book stand out, though, is how invested you get in these characters. Goldie and Noah are layered, lovable, and flawed in the best way. I was desperate for everything to work out for them, biting my nails through every twist and revelation.
If you love your romance with a shot of adrenaline, a few goosebumps, and a lot of heart—this is the one. A must-read for spooky season or anytime you want a story that’s thrilling, sexy, and unforgettable.

I adored how the tension between trust and fear played out, making their journey feel authentic and deeply emotional. This isn’t just a romance; it’s an adrenaline rush of feelings and chills that had me hooked long after I finished. It’s the kind of story I’ll be thinking about for a long time and recommending to anyone who loves their love stories dark, daring, and full of heart.

Absolutely loved it! Smutty thriller/horror romance is exactly my kind of book, and this one delivered. I'm really hoping for Chase and Evie's story next, because I absolutely adored Chase's character. His personality and humor had me laughing out loud, and the chemistry among all the characters was simply perfect, elevating the entire story. And an MMC who reminds me of Damon Salvatore? Sold, immediately sold!

This was fine. I am not sure what I wax expecting from this book, but it was fine. I really enjoy thrillers, romance, and horror so I was not sure what didn’t hit with this, but I will ponder and be back

The couple in this book have a heart of good, serial killer motive aside. This was such a fun ride! The relationship dynamics were so good you could sink your teeth into.

I am completely obsessed with this book! It’s a rom com but also a suspense and it’s spicy as hell. I couldn’t put it down!

SERIOUSLY TRILINIA?! With that ending??? I need book 2 yesterday!!
Wow! What a thriller this turned out to be! I was so hooked in the beginning. I loved the instant connection between Noah and Goldie! Trilina is the queen of banter and making the characters connect right off the bat in a genuine way.
I have to say, my man Chase was my favorite! He was such a funny, gives no f*cks secondary character. His character kept the story so funny and interesting! I need a Chase book pronto!
Tropes:
🔪 Rom-Com
💀 Touch of Thriller & Mystery
🔪 Banter
💀 AMAZING Supporting Characters

I have such mixed thoughts on this one. Let me start by saying that I really enjoy Trilina's books and writing. This book followed suit with hilarious banter and some really great smut. BUT! The plot was....odd to me. This is supposed to have Halloween vibes, but you don't get there until 70% into the book. The majority of the book follows Noah and Goldie as their relationship grows throughout the year. There are these times jumps, and you see how their relationships progresses, and you slowly get the idea that something is "off" about Noah. It's cute, but I wanted more Halloween vibes throughout, not just a little mystery sprinkled in. Overall, I had a good time reading this book, and it's a solid 3 stars for me.

In aisle 12 of Walgreens, Goldie Monroe and Noah Adler share a meet-cute over the tubes of fake blood. In a bold move, she invites him to a Halloween party later that night.
One Killer Night is a departure from what we’ve seen in the last few releases. But it harkens to her earlier works with a depth to the characters and storyline, alike. Don’t fret, in her trademark trifecta, Trilina delivers a laugh-out-loud romance with steam. Plus, she upped the ante with a little blood and murder.

This was such a fun read! I loved the mix of romance, horror, and suspense, which had me on the edge of my seat. I enjoyed the intertwined stories from the past and present—I didn’t predict the twist at the end (I audibly gasped). I’m hopeful that we will get Chase and Evie’s story in the future!
I can’t wait to recommend One Killer Night to my friends this spooky season. Thank you to Montlake for an advance copy of One Killer Night!

I DON’T KNOW WHAT SHE PUT IN THIS ONE BUT IT IS PURE MAGIC 😍
This book is everything I want out of a spooky season romance and I positively FLEW through it because I loved it so much!
Per usual the banter is witty and charming and flirtatious, the spicy scenes deliver, and you really can’t help but to root for these two to end up together. The pieces all came together to create a story that feels like if a 90’s slasher flick and a 90’s rom com had a baby.

I really enjoyed that the book started off nice sweet romance and then turned into high stakes. It starts subtle and then full blown slasher movie vibes. Being a fan of Damon from tvd i liked the reference. The twist at the end i didnt see coming. Overall it was a fun read.
3.75 stars

This reminded me of the Halloween movie with Micahel Myers but with more of a plot. Overall, this was a great quick read.

I LOVED this book. Seriously - I wasn’t prepared for how much I’d enjoy it. The banter, the chemistry, the tension, the plot (no spoilers!) — it was all an absolute YES.
Noah & Goldie - Incredible. Their connection is funny and electric right from the start, and the tension just keeps building. The banter is quick, witty, and had me grinning like an idiot. I loved them both. Plus, the supporting cast - her sister and his best friend - are the perfect additions.
The plot - Immaculate. This is Halloween reading perfection - spooky without being horror, sexy without being OTT, and packed with fun nods to classic Halloween tropes and slasher flicks. There’s a playful, eerie charm running throughout, but beneath that is a really solid romance. With emotional depth, real stakes, and some serious 🔥 chemistry without being cliche, this had me hooked.
I’ve read a few of Trilina Pucci’s books before and rated them 3 or 4 stars - always enjoyable - but this one? A rare and very well-earned ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ from me.
Also: this is going straight to the top of my Halloween re-read list every year. Sexy, spooky, smart, funny — an all-round autumnal gem.
And with this book, Trilina Pucci has firmly become a “don’t even need to read the blurb” author for me — just a buy now, no questions asked.
Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for the ARC, and of course, Trilina Pucci for One Killer Night, especially Noah. All views and opinions are completely my own.

When Goldie stops at Walgreen’s on Halloween night in her inflatable t-Rex costume, the last thing she expects is an instant connection (and a date!) with Damon Salvatore look-a-like Noah. These two fall hard for each other, but secrets from Noah’s past threaten to pull them apart. Can she ever trust him again when she finds out the truth of who he is?
This fantastic read packed all the heat we expect from Trilina with all the fun and jump scares of an 80’s slasher film. It was twisty and turny filled with surprise reveals and amazing side characters (fingers crossed for a follow up featuring Evie and Chase!). Set primarily in Boston and in rural Nee Hampshire, the setting really becomes an additional character, especially in the fall months.
Things I loved:
Fall in Boston
Goldie and Noah took it slow and steady
Goldie’s adoptive parents
Evie
Chase!!
Thanks to NetGalley, the publisher and the author for the chance to review. All opinions are my own.

One Killer Night by Trilina Pucci will be released on October 14th. This was a fantastic suspense read that I would highly recommend.
I received an advance review copy for free and am leaving this review voluntarily.

The new queen of banter and best meet cute. What a fun ride of a read. Rom-com-thriller. What more could a reader ask for?
I couldn’t put it down. I haven’t read a book in a while that has me up all night because I just loved it.
Pro: the campy thriller vibes. The connection between the mcs, the pure entertainment of the entire story
Cons: I wish it was twice as long.
I’ll definitely be rereading on audio when tires come out.

What a journey I went on. I'm Glad this was my Cherry-Popping book for NetGalley & Trilina Pucci.
This book had the perfect balance of Rom-com/Thriller Moments. And The Banter between Goldie & Noah had me giggling to myself at some points.
Noah & Goldie Have a very comical meet-cute and the story just unfolds from there. I really enjoyed their love story unfold, and the when the story was getting intense I was on the edge of my seat.
I had a few theories on what was going on, some of them were right, but the major plot twist reveal I didnt actually see coming
Overall if you enjoy a dark romance rom-com this one is for you

This wasn’t the usual Trilina book, but it still has the spicy elements and banter she’s known to dish out. This delivers on the slasher vibes and will be a perfect read for October!
•
I thought I had it figured out, but Trilina threw some curve balls in there and had me gasping with the twists and turns.

Thanks to @authortrilinapucci and @netgalley for the chance to read this ARC! 🫶🏻✨

If Trilina writes it, I will read it!
Noah and Goldie's love story is the perfect balance/ buildup of lust, foreplay and spice. Their chemistry is addicting!
I highlighted and annotated so much of this book and I can't wait until it releases so I can share my favorite quotes with my friends. If you are preordering this book, do your friends a favor and gift them a copy too. This is a top tier buddy read that is sure to be a halloween slasher everyone will be talking about.
Thank you so much netgalley for gifting me a complimentary copy of this book before it's publish date. I squealed in excitement when I was accepted to read this in exchange for my honest opinion and review. Then I devoured this book!
