What an interesting and wild book! I really enjoyed this one. Such a unique and creative storyline. I really loved the main character and I also enjoyed the authors writing style. I also really liked the cover, it grabbed my attention immediately. If you’re looking for a short, fun and wild book that you have never anything like, this one is for you!

I enjoyed the first half of this book, but I feel like the ending was a bit abrupt. I also thought that the concept was interesting and could fit a full-length novel. I'm interested in seeing what else this author puts out, but this novella was more of a miss.

This short book was a wild ride from start to finish! It follows Nova and her sister as they steal a drug called DopeX. I read this book in 2 hours and I really could not put it down, the suspense was so good! A must read for anyone who enjoys stories involving crime and party culture. My only wish is that the book was longer. I would have loved delving even further into the characters, the plot and the overall drug scene. Fingers crossed the author writes a sequel!

I picked this one up on a whim and honestly I really enjoyed it. An intense short read that goes pedal to the metal with an interesting concept.
The writing was great and the story was so tense that I had no idea where it was going. In the best way possible, the climax really reminded me on Good Time with how gritty and intense the story was getting.

This was SO fun!
I know it is only a short read, but I read this in 2 sittings. I never knew where the story was going, and enjoyed every twist that happened.
The only reason Dope! misses out on the full 5 stars for me is because I wish Nova went into a little bit more detail around the trauma she experienced as a child, which lead her to take “Dope”.
Overall a really enjoyable read, and I would love to read more from this author.

Thank you, NetGalley, for the ARC! I quite enjoyed this book. It has such an interesting concept. The book is about a girl who steals pills called DopeX. It's a pill that is supposed to cure all mental health issuss and burnout. It's also used just to get high. The commentary in this book made me think a lot. I quite enjoyed it. The only issue I had is I wanted to know more about Cass and Nova's parents. Overall, a great read!

this book felt very revealing and current to what is a problem today. and yes because this book is about a pill that sells dopamine. but you know what nothing can do that. as we know there is an umbrella of things that need to happen before people can be happy and definitely for those who are suffering with mental illness. you cant just buy a pill. so this in itself is selling a flawed ideal. but i think what it links to more is the need for the high. or the need for clicks. to do with gaming, social media etc. the selling of people souls and buying off audiences souls to keep them "in dopamine" state seems to be such an issue. social media influencers and the like are selling these "fixes" which are fake. they are selling lives that arnt there and the comparisons are dangerous for those taken in. the same with the constant gaming needs. or screen need. people on tik tok needing the scroll, scroll action for more hits.
this book for me shines a light on all of that.
and its depiction by this book selling that in drug form i think was really brilliantly done. i think you could take this book many ways depending on where you are in life or what you take from todays culure.
a great book. its not too heavy which i think take a clever author.

I appreciate a shorter story that can be finished in one sitting. I read this book in the span of a couple hours. The concept of Dopaxin was interesting and I enjoyed all the parts with Nathan. There was one line in which a James was mentioned as a visual description but we were never introduced to James prior and he was never mentioned again. I had to search “James” to make sure I didn’t miss something. That made me a little confused.
