Roller Coaster Romance is a coworkers-to-lovers relationship where the FMC gets a job as a manager of a theme park land and gets close to the man who trained her in the attractions. This was a quick and easy read with minimal details and an easy-to-follow storyline. While the FMC was learning the quirks and responsibilities of her new job, there was a side plot of the workers joining together to unionize. Typically, I find side plots like the development of this union uninteresting, but I found it more interesting and detailed than the romance. While the two MCs had some sweet moments, I never felt I NEEDED them to get together since it wasn't super established.
Overall, the writing was easy to follow for the most part. A couple of times while listening to the audiobook, I was confused due to frequent shifts in POV, but that is probably clearer in the written book.
I would really enjoy seeing this writer's development through more installments in this world, perhaps with the piano-playing intern.

I would like to thank the publisher for sending me an audio-arc in exchange for an honest review through NetGalley.

Vanessa has just been hired as the new manager at a huge theme park in Florida. Her first few days involve training at the different rides in her area, and the trainer for new employees is Thomas. Thomas has been organizing the employees behind the scenes into voting yes to unionizing, which puts him and Vanessa at odds. As Vanessa is told by upper management to discourage the unions, she begins to listen to the complaints from the employees, seeing how some things can easily be fixed, but upper management refuses to help, she begins to sympathize with the employees. And the more her and Thomas spend time with one another, the more she finds herself falling for him.

This is really cute and short. I love the rides that she has to monitor and learn, especially since we know what the amusement park is based off of and what rides are beings based on them and everything. You have the Victorian Factory which is my favorite ride that was described in this book and I love the real-life counpeterpart. I do love her and Thomas together , and I thought they were very cute. They are supposed to be enemies, but from the very beginning they were very much enamored with one another I found. All the union talk gpt to be a little much at time but it makes sense because that's the whole point of what they're doing. I loved the ending and how everything was resolved, even if it would've been nice to see upper management have to deal with the fallout of things. Overall this was cute, it was short, and I like the ending. Oh, and upper management sucks.

A fun listen, rollercoasters, unions and romance. Mixed with trying to do the right thing, it was easy listening, although I thought the ending was a little abrupt. My first time with this author, I will look for further books.

I wanted to like this book more than I did - I love theme parks and was excited about it based on the cover. To me the romance aspect of the story really isn't there, it plays a minor supporting role. While Thomas the MMC does fight himself for wanting what he shouldn't (management aka the FMC, Vanessa), it isn't really romance heavy as the title suggests. The story for me focused more on the unionization of the Destiny employees and a new manager finding her footing within the turmoil.
I liked the narrator, but the audiobook wasn't my favorite. The POV shifts were especially difficult to keep track of throughout the audio - which could be an editing issue rather than recording issue?
Thank you NetGalley for a copy of the audiobook.

Kate Moseman delivers a charming and engaging romance set against the vibrant backdrop of Destiny Park, where Vanessa takes on a management role overseeing the quirky team running the park’s attractions. Among them is Thomas, the operator of the mine train and haunted house, who’s secretly working to unionize his coworkers — a mission that puts him at odds with Vanessa and risks both his job and his cause. Despite the conflict, their undeniable chemistry complicates things, and navigating workplace dynamics while managing their growing attraction proves to be a thrilling ride.

Moseman skillfully weaves classic rom-com tropes into a fresh, theme park setting, creating a story that’s both entertaining and emotionally charged. The supporting cast adds depth and humor, enhancing the main storyline while showcasing the everyday hustle of park employees. With unexpected stakes and compelling obstacles, this seasonal romance is perfect for readers craving a light-hearted yet heartfelt read. Fans of workplace romances and second-chance love stories will find plenty to enjoy in this witty, feel-good novel.

A great workplace romance. Vanessa gets the job of her dreams and meets passionate Thomas - this is a quick, easy listen filled with Disneyland vibes!

Vanessa is a talented theme park manager, who has worked in the business before. She knows what she is doing. There, she meets Thomas, a park trainer who happens to be a key member of the staff who is organizing a union for the workers. They should hate each other, but the problem is that they don't!

This story is on the shorter side, but still valuable. It makes the reader question morality and ethics of any managerial position. How do you toe the line of doing what administration wants and doing what is right?

I listened to the audiobook version of this story. I thought the narrator did a fantastic job, though I wish the titles of each chapter had a pause after the word. Being that the titles of each chapter where the names of the narrating character, when there wasn't a pause it sounded like it was just the first word of the chapter.

I was expecting a romance and got a feel good story about theme park employees working together to get a union and better working conditions. There is a bit of romance, but the title is a bit misleading. The romance is more of the secondary plot, while getting the union is the main plot. It’s an enjoyable story. Predictable but enjoyable.

⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 originally was pulled in by the cover of this book and thinking it’s kind of like a Disney theme park romance. I honestly was pretty surprised that it wasn’t just a romance, but also heavy on the union right of the workers in the park and fighting back. As a factory worker who is always adamant about the quality of life that’s given to workers like myself. This really hit a hard subject for me. It was interesting to see our female main character being the person that was interviewing for a management position in our male main character was a worker within the park that was secretly bringing everyone together unionizing the workers. It was a really short audiobook, so I still highly recommend it. I enjoyed it.

Vanessa has just landed her dream job, a management position in Destiny Park. But the more she interact with the employees the more she realise that there is trouble in Paradise and she has to decide if following her heart will kept her her job or not. The audiobook with Angelina Roca is an improvement to a average story. Thanks to NetGalley for the ALC. this is my honest review.

This was a cute concept, and as a Florida local, I loved how clearly Destiny Park was inspired by Walt Disney World. That part made it more fun to listen to, especially since the setting was so vivid, it really felt like being in the middle of the parks on a hot day, people watching with a snack in hand. The narrator, Angelina Rocca, was great and definitely a highlight of the audiobook.

That said, the story itself felt more like a workplace novel than a romance. There wasn’t much chemistry between the leads, and the romantic development was so minimal that by the time they actually went on a date, I was surprised it was even happening. I kept waiting for more banter, tension, or at least a spark, but the relationship stayed mostly surface level. The premise had promise, but the romance kind of got lost in all the logistics of theme park management and union talk. Still, the setting and narrator made it a light listen, even if it didn’t fully land for me as a romcom.

Was an interesting read. Not quite the romance I thought it would be. More about union rights and workplace hostility than I realized. Loved the fact it was about a theme park but just wasn't what I expected. Not a bad read though. Still had a cute ending.

Thanks to Netgalley for this arc.

Thank you @NetGalley and @VictoryEditing for the audio ARC. Kate Moseman has written such a cute and fun book. Vanessa is newly hired at an amusement park, not realizing that management has been worried about unionizing. She sees both sides of the friction and will stay true to herself and do what she feels is best. Thomas is her trainer and the one who wants a union. I loved the chemistry of Vanessa and Thomas, such a cute fast read.

This is not an easy one to rate but I'm going to go with 3 Stars. It wasn't horrible but it wasn't awesome either. It also wasn't very romancy. It felt like romance was on the back burner and not very obvious, I can see how they ended up together but it felt like an afterthought to the story.

Then there is the meat of the story, employees are fighting for a union and management is not for it. I only have my own world view but the speech from the lady they brought in to help keep the union from forming was spot on. People with seniority are promoted over deserving people specifically.

Anyway, I'm not mad I read it but I'm not going to read it again and I doubt I'd recommend it to anyone. Angelina Rocca is a fantastic narrator; I will seek out more from her.

Thank you to NetGalley, Victory Editing, and the author for the opportunity to read and review this story.

Thank you to NetGalley and Victory Editing for this audio ARC. This review was posted to my Goodreads (@MadyGrace) on May 1st, 2025.

I’m really bummed—I wanted to love Roller Coaster Romance, but unfortunately, it just didn’t work for me. The romance felt more like a subplot, overshadowed by the union storyline, which took over the bulk of the narrative. The pacing felt rushed, and the characters didn’t feel fully developed, which made it hard to connect with them.

That said, there were definitely some bright spots. The theme park setting was vivid and well-done—I could easily picture it while listening. I also thought the antagonist, Mr. Destiny, was compelling and surprisingly well-developed, despite being a secondary character.

With more character depth and a stronger balance between the romance and external plot, I think this story has a lot of potential. It just didn’t quite land for me this time.

This is review of the book itself and the audiobook version I listened to. I listened to this book at 1.5 speed giving it a reasonable pace. Based on the dual POV this book could have benefited from a male narrator. The narrator has a pleasant female tone but did not necessarily give Thomas enough personality.

This book lacked plot until around chapter 5, then it became a pro union/ anti union story that fell flat. There was no chemistry between the main characters and no one to root for. I’d give this 2.5 ⭐️ with the main positive points being that it was a quick and easy ‘cozy’ read.

When a cover looks like this, and the title has the word "romance" in it, I expect it to be a romance. I guess you could call it romance-lite. Granted, there were some romantic elements... kinda, but not enough to really pull it together for me. I found that most of the discussion in the book had to do with unionization, and again, little to do with romance. I was rather disappointed.

I enjoyed the characters in this book as they each had their own distinct personality. It was nice to see that the FMC was able to stick to her guns and fight the good fight from the inside.

Though I will say that Angelina Rocca did an exceptional job reading this book.

I'd like to thank the publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to listen to this book.

This was cute. Short. It read fast. But I wish that there was…more? More conflict, more romance, more resolution. It kind of read like the first book in a series of novellas. I feel like there was a lot of detailing at some parts and not enough in others. I would have like to see a better ending. I’m glad how it ended in favor of the side it did but I wish that the ending had been more. It felt like the book started out at the same pace and it kind of felt like it got wrapped really suddenly without a lot of full resolution. I would have liked to see more romance for a romance book. More conflict between the love interests for that chemistry aspect. Overall it was… good.

Listened to the Audio book for this the story was good and characters were cute I just feel like the audio book fell short for me. Maybe if I had read it instead i may have liked it more. I really would have enjoyed knowing what happens next I feel like so many things were left unknown in the end like there was so much detail up until the vote and then the story just ends.

First, I love the cover and description. The premise of this book - romance blooming for high up employees at a theme park who care to provide fair working conditions for all - is interesting. However, I found the narration to be too breathy and lilting for me to continue with the story. Also, the pacing made it difficult to get invested from the beginning. I would be intrigued to try this as a regular book and see if I can enjoy the story more there.

Special thanks to Fortunella Press and NetGalley for a complimentary copy of this audiobook. Opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.
