Concise and prescient overview of and introduction to narratives surrounding Palestine and the history of Western financial, political and social support for Israel.
I appreciated that they focused heavily on systemic roots of colonialism and how political motivations surrounding capitalist Middle Eastern energy control, colonial paternalism and racism all influence the seemingly unwavering Western backing of the Israeli state. Interesting exploration of racialized justifications for Israeli aggression as a "right to defense" while Palestinians are consistantly categorized as "terrorists".

this is short and concise book that discusses palestine within the global context of capitalism, exploitation of labor/resources, and imperialism. this book explains exactly what laws, money, and diplomacy have allowed israeli settler-colonialism to persist. a great starting point for further reading on what has predated and allowed the events of today to occur.

This and books like this are beyond needed. Most analysis of the events are at face value they dont see the true causes and roots of Israeli genocide and dehumanization. Free Palestine now and forever.

I have been reading books about Palestine for a while now and this work brought information of what I already know and historical evidence that the Western refuses to show.

I will be recommending this book far and wide. It’s full of information and helps frame the situation in Palestine through a more global framework. This book is short and concise and no word was wasted. I felt myself learning something new on each page and the information the authors provided seemed to help various bits of knowledge and understanding about the conflict click into place. This is a must read.
