Falling in Love at Pennycress Inn ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This second book is the sequel in the Pennycress Inn series. You won't feel lost if you haven't read book 1 yet, however I suggest to read them in order.
Nicola moves back to her home town after leaving her cheating partner. That has left her broken hearted.
After some healing she starts to let charlie in. A great friendship is slowly starting to build. Just when things are looking up for Nicola her ex shows up.
He's a bully that wants her back. Will she give in and go back to the way her live was or does she move forward with a new relationship? Only time will tell.
This book is up for per order. So per order this great book and while there pick up book 1. You'll have time to read it before book 2 releases.

So lovely to return to Pennycress Inn
And to Meadowfield, the community and folks therein.
Not forgetting Claudette who is always up to mischief
From whom the villagers would welcome relief!
As the summer carnival date nears
There are organisational fears
Can enough tractors and trailers be found
To enable all the group floats to go round?
Nicola agrees to help and plans are made
For her to ask the last farmer for his aid.
She’s shocked to discover the farmer she knew
Has passed away, leaving the farm to his nephew.
The nephew proves intransigent, with an adamant, “No!”
Leaving Nicola wondering where next to go.
But sometimes first impressions should not be heeded
As later rethinks may well be needed.
With ex troubles and fresh chances
A beautiful wedding and romances
This is a heartwarming read,
One I hope you’ll also need.
For my copy of this book I say thank you
As I share with you this my honest review.

This is a delightful sequel to Welcome to Pennycress Inn. Nicola is settling in well at her new job at Pennycress Inn with the new owner, Laura. After having grown up at the inn, she is excited to be part of updated business, following the end of her previous relationship and needing to leave her job where he also worked. I liked that the mischievous sheep reappears in this book. I am excited to see if there will be another book in this series.

Falling in Love at Pennycress Inn #2 by Sarah Hope
Set in the picturesque town of Meadowfield in the heart of the Cotswolds, Falling in Love at Pennycress Inn is a heartwarming and charming read. Sarah Hope delivers a beautifully written story filled with characters you quickly come to care about.
The story follows Nicola, who grew up in the welcoming atmosphere of the Inn, and Charlie, who arrives in Meadowfield to settle his late uncle’s affairs and sell the family farm. As their paths cross, sparks fly—will they find their own happily ever after?
This is a delightful, clean romance with a gentle pace and a strong sense of place. I thoroughly enjoyed it and look forward to reading the next book in the series!
Unable to leave on Bookbub, as I could not find the book, if it does become available I will leave my review there too.

This is a new to me author and I really found this story cute. It gave Gilmore girl vibes but a twist of its own. I did feel it dragged a little bit here and there but overall it was a really fun read. I liked Nicola she was not about to put up with any ones stuff and she had a big heart always wanting to help those in her small town and those she cares for. Charlie was grumpy but deep down had a heart that just was protected by a big wall. I really liked Jill and Laura they are so sweet and the best friends a girl could have. I did not read the first story but I want to go after reading this to see what the characters were all up to. The author kept this book a clean read so suitable for all readers.

This is the second book in the series featuring Pennycress Inn and Laura is still working hard to make the Inn pay and make it the hub of the village. She has Nicola to help her out and she's a god-send as her mum used to run the Inn years ago so knows the ropes. Things are good, they are fully booked for the weekend and now there's the annual carnival coming up which should be a good success and Nicola has been left to sort out things. Only trouble is they need to borrow a tractor and trailer, they always used to borrow it from the local farmer, but since he passed away and his nephew has taken over the farm, the answer to borrowing the tractor and trailer has been a great big "no". This is made even worse by her ex Nathan stopping the payments on her car and now it's been repossessed. Still she has her bike, though its the one she had as a teenager so probably not in the best of working order, but it's all she has and it will have to do. But after cycling to see the grumpy farmer and then it pouring with rain, she comes to an unfortunate situation with her brakes failing and having an accident. Nicola has just had enough, but then who comes by and rescues her, none other than the grumpy farmer.
But still the problems with her ex Nathan continue, will he never give up, he thinks things should go back to how they were before the split when his new girlfriend then throws him out.
With hilarious moments chasing a wilful sheep to sorrowful times when she realises that her relationship with her newfound boyfriend just won't last with one of them living in London and the other living in the Cotswolds, this book follows the lives of the people living in this quaint village. Will there be a happy ever after or not?
I enjoyed reading this book, I have read the previous book in the series but you can read this as a stand-alone book, as this is Nicola's story. A perfect read for warm summer days, it kept my attention throughout and I have given it five-stars.

I always look forward to a new Sarah Hope book, and was not disappointed with this one. Delightful characters who blended together perfectly

This little series Is shaping up to be one of my favourites and a return visit to the Cotswolds is obviously always welcome.
Hope's characters are absolutely charming and are fast beginning to feel like friends. This is Nicola's story. A heartwarming story of finding love and second chances.
It's an enjoyable and engaging little read, moderately paced with a simmering romance and some surprises along the way.

Such a sweet light book - perfect for a hot summer's evening!
We follow Nicola, who is a totally relatable character, living in the most beautifully described English village - a book about normal life, hope and romance. Would love a sequel.

The second book by Sarah Hope set in Meadowfield and at Pennycress Inn, this was another easy read, and one that could be read as a standalone.
Nicola is now working at Pennycress Inn, the place where she grew up when her Mum ran it. Wanting to help her friend organise the village carnival she is tasked with speaking to the local farmers about lending their tractors and trailers, what she is not expecting is there to be a new owner at Little Mead Farm. Charlie has inherited his uncle’s farm and not wanting to get involved in village life refuses to help Nicola or the carnival. Nicola is not willing to give up and she and Charlie end up spending more and more time together.
Both Nicola and Charlie are lovable characters and ones that have an instant spark. We get to see the two of them come into their own during the book and grow closer in the process.
Although a little predictable, this was a great book to get lost into, especially for some light-hearted relief. With lovable characters, the return of Claudette the sheep and lots of romance it was hard to put it down.
I really enjoyed this book, it was easy to read, fun, light-hearted and full of romance. The perfect summer escapism.

A comfortable and cosy read set continuing thecPennycress Inn series but the story can stand alone. Life in a Cotswold village with the well depicted characters coming together to manage the village fete. A spanner in the works is the irascible new owner of the farm that was once at the centre of the activity. Add in a sprinkle of magic fairy dust and a romantic novel evolves

I enjoyed reading Falling in Love at Pennycress Inn by Sarah Hope.. You will fall in love with all the characters. I received an ARC of this book courtesy of NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed in this review are my own and given freely. Happy Reading!

This sweet second book in the Meadowfield series is like a cozy hug. It was so nice to return to the charming Pennycress Inn, now a lively little spot thanks to Laura and Jackson’s hard work.
This time, we follow Nicola, who’s still nursing a broken heart after a rough breakup. She throws herself into life at the inn and volunteers to help with the village’s beloved annual carnival. That’s where she meets Charlie—a city guy with a broody vibe who’s inherited his uncle’s farm and isn’t quite sure what to do with it.
Their banter is fun, their chemistry builds slowly, and watching them open up to each other is heartwarming. Both are carrying emotional baggage, but their story unfolds in such a natural, gentle way. Add in a festive village backdrop and plenty of small-town charm, and you’ve got a lovely escape full of warmth and second chances.
If you love feel-good romances set in idyllic little villages, this one’s for you.
A big thank you to NetGalley and Boldwood Books For an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

This is my first read by this author and I really enjoyed the story. A cute and sweet read between and girl and a grumpy guy who inherited a farm that he is now trying to sell. One is as stubborn as the other so they keep butting heads and soon other things happen.
I received an ARC from NetGalley and the Publisher and leaving a review by my own accord.

I love a charming small-town English romance, and this book was everything I hoped it would be. This is the second book in the Pennycress Inn series, but it can be read as a stand-alone. In this book, we spend more time with Nicola, whom we met in the first book. Her long-time boyfriend has broken up with her, which is probably a blessing, as he can be a bit of an ass. However, Nicola loves her job working at the Pennycress Inn and has a great group of close friends. I thoroughly enjoyed Nicola's story. It really had everything I wanted in small-town romance: meddling friends and townspeople, quirky town drama, the heroine disrupting any carefully laid plans the hero has, and one demanding cat.
Sarah does a wonderful job of hooking readers and keeping them entertained throughout. I loved just watching everything unfold and was curious to see how Nicola and Charlie would get their HEA. There were some laugh-out-loud moments, usually involving Nicola's cat, who instantly adores Charlie, which is a micro-trope that I just love. I can instantly tell that Sarah knows her romances because she includes so many wonderful tropes and perfect rom-com moments that make for one swoony reading experience. You have that pesky ex who just keeps popping up; you have the heroine finding herself in a tricky situation and a grumpy hero who just wants to be left alone. This book was such a fun, light, and fluffy read. But it's just not all fluff; these characters are dealing with real-life issues. Nicola is feeling a drift and not too sure what her next steps are in her personal life; Charlie is dealing with the grief of losing a family member and having to make a big decision about what to do with the family farm. The townspeople who are quirky but are also going through things, and it was great watching the community come and support each other in their time of need.
The romance is sweet and lovely. It's a closed-door romance, which I loved. Don't get me wrong, I love my spice, but there are times when this bookworm wants to read something that stirs those romance butterflies in her stomach without clothes flying off the MCs. Nicola and Charlie don't get off on the right foot. Nicola thinks Charlie is a grumpy man who has no sense of community. Charlie thinks Nicola is just another townsperson looking to meddle in his business. I like that dislike to lovers' love story. That fiery, sharp banter between the two MCs is like catnip for my soul. I also love this trope because I love watching that dislike turn into something else. I enjoyed Nicola and Charlie’s romance. There is this ticking time bomb to their relationship because Charlie is set on selling the farm because he loves his life in London and doesn't want to give it up. The question becomes whether they can have a successful long-distance relationship or, in the end, who will be the one to move?
Falling in Love at Pennycress Inn is a charming and fun romance that is so easy to love.

An amazing story . Full of emotions , I laughed and cried so many times I can't count . Nicola is working at the Pennycress Inn where she grow up since her mother used to run it when she was kid . She been single after 8 years since she caught her boyfriend Nathan with his assistant 5 months ago but he still causes her troubles . When her friend Jill is having problems with managing the Carnival she tells her that she will help her . Her job is to ask the farmers to loan their tractors and trailers . The only farmer who is denying her is the new owner of the Little Mead Farm Charlie who is the nephew of Farmer Williams . Charlie is from London and he is in Meadowfield only to fix the farm so he can sell it and go back to his life . While he always he denies her doing what she wants from him he always does it . Nic and Charlie start a relationship but and at a corner of her mind is always the truth that he has to go back to London . At the end what will he choose ?
I loved both Trixie and Claudette .
I received this book from netgalley , the author and the publisher as an ARC . Thank you . All thoughts and opinions are my own .

Cozy, sweet, and lovely summer read. Highly recommend for a feel good time while relaxing and having a nice cold drink. 💫💫💫💫💫
This is part of a series but can be read as a stand-alone. Pennycress Inn is owned and operated by Laura and Jackson. They have now hired Nicola, who is in dire need of change after a horrible breakup. She has immersed herself in the annual carnival and will do anything to make sure it is a success. In comes Charlie, a grumpy man who recently inherited a farm that he didn't ask for. Sparks fly, emotions bubble, and Nicola and Charlie can't help but fall for each other.
Their enemies to lovers' story is perfect, sweet, and flows naturally throughout the story.
Thank you, Netgalley and Boldwood Books, for this ARC. All opinions are entirely my own.

Nicola, still hurting from discovering her fiancé was cheating on her, has thrown herself into her new job at Pennycress Inn and re-entering village life, including volunteering to help with the annual village carnival. She goes to see Farmer Williams to ask if they can borrow 2 tractors & trailers for the float parade as usual. Unfortunately, she encounters not the genial Farmer Williams she remembers from her childhood but Farmer Grumpy Williams, his nephew! Despite her pleas Charlie Williams refuses to help as he is too busy restoring the farm following his uncle’s death so he can sell it and return to London.
A really enjoyable cosy, slow-burning romance. Both Nicola and Charlie have had bad relationships in the past, and in Nicola’s case, the bad relationship keeps causing problems and popping up with outrageous demands, making her wary of trusting anyone again.
This is the second book in the series and can be read as a standalone book, the first is ‘Welcome to Pennycress Inn’ again a very enjoyable book and worth reading before this one
