Oh my how I loved this book. Louise Bay is a longtime favorite author of mine, and she never disappoints. I enjoyed this story narrated phenomenally by Erin Mallon. This was a solo narration as the story is told completely from Tuesday's POV. Erin blew me away with her performance. She was able to seamlessly navigate between characters and accents without missing a beat. Erin was absolutely the perfect narrator for this story.
Tuesday was in London to prove herself to the new CEO of the bank she worked at. She is only supposed to be in London for a few weeks. She never expects to run into who she thinks is the movie star she crushed on years ago...only he's not the movie star. Just someone that looks just like him.
Ben is a career driven workaholic. He needs just one thing to hopefully help his professional dreams come to fruition...a fiancée to impress the Duke and Duchess. After running into Tuesday a few times, his friend suggests that Tuesday would be perfect for the ruse of a fiancée. He will offer her enough money to give her a few things she needs when she gets back home in New York.
What they didn't expect was for them to really enjoy each other's company. Tuesday showed Ben a different side of life. While Ben showed Tuesday how a lady should be treated. I loved these two together. This story made me laugh and swoon, and I just couldn't get enough.
This was another absolute winner from Louise.

I absolutely loved Tuesday and her love interest Ben. This book had simultaneously me laughing out loud and sighing with satisfaction.
Tuesday Reynolds, the eponymous American in London is there to work in a bank in order to get on the fast track with her bank in New York. She also plans to use her spare time checking out sights from film scenes from her favourite British actor Daniel de Luca.
Ben Kelley is a billionaire who appears to be grumpy on the outside, but is actually quite sentimental. He keeps running into Tuesday who almost mistook him for Daniel de Luca.
The story starts out with a deception and ends with resolution. Humour aside there is a message. The story is good and the characters are are engaging.
Erin Mallon did a good job overall of the narration. The only nit to pick is that the Duchess occasionally slipped into American vernacular, but this did nothing to dim my enjoyment of the story.
This is a perfect holiday listen.

This low angst fake engagement, mistaken identity romance was super fun to listen to. Those are just a couple of the tropes that I loved about this audiobook. I enjoy how this performer brought Ben and Tuesday’s book to life. I usually prefer a dual narration but I think that’s Erin did a fabulous job. This fun, quirky story was super enjoyable from the beginning to the very end. The couple was so freaking adorable.

Another cozy 5 star read from Louise, just what I needed this Aussie winter
If you know me, you know Louise is one of my forever authors — if she writes it, I’m reading it. No questions asked. And An American in London was another five-star listen for me.
This one follows Tuesday, whose life is basically in shambles — her ex-fiancé ran off with a ballerina (as they do ), work’s a mess, so off she goes to London to try and save her job. She’s always been obsessed with this famous actor, Daniel Deluca, so when she spots a broody Brit she thinks is him… well, turns out he’s not.
Meet Ben: grumpy British billionaire, expert at keeping people at arm’s length… until Tuesday storms into his life. These two keep bumping into each other until Ben needs a fake fiancée to impress a Duke (yes, a Duke!) so he can buy a hotel off him — and who better for the job than Tuesday?
Fake relationship? Tick.
Swoony British charm? Tick.
Banter, slow burn, tension? Big tick.
Louise just gets it every single time.
And Erin Mallon? She’s brilliant, as always. Her British accents, her male voices, her delivery — top tier.
This was such a cosy, feel-good listen that made me grin like a loon and swoon on cue. Five big stars from me — obviously. Ben has officially joined my collection of British book boyfriends and I regret nothing.

Audiobook Review
So so good!!! Witty, banter, British dry humour. As a non British living in Britain I felt Tuesday’s descriptions of all the brits was so accurate, but Ben’s character was too notch. Loved this story so much for its simplicity.
Erin Mallon as Tuesday was brilliant, capturing Tuesday’s Americanism’s and Ben’s Britishism’s.

Another new Louise Bay favorite !!
Ben Kelley is a grumpy, British, billionaire, who needs a fake fiancé in order for a royal deal to go through . Tuesday Reynolds is a sunshine, New Yorker in London, who becomes the lucky fake bride-to-be . And they fit PERFECTLY together !
The way Ben truly sees and understands Tuesday right from the start and how he is finally making her see herself how he sees her .. is beyond beautiful . Then you take all of their swooniness and mix it with all of their witty banter and ever growing tension .. and you have the best comfort x fake fiancé read ! I cannot wait to read what Louise has in store for us next !
This book can be read as a complete stand alone .
This audiobook was given to me for honest review by the author and NetGalley .

This book was cute. It followed all the classic rom-com stereotypes. There were some clichéd moments, but that wasn't necessarily a bad thing if you like that sort of thing. I like rom-coms, so this book was right up my alley. I picked up this book when I was in the mood for something light and fun, and it came at the perfect time. I enjoyed it very much. Ben and Tuesday were the perfect example of opposites attract, and they were cute together. Ben is the classic British man: dry yet witty. However, it takes a while to get to know him and see his true self. Tuesday is the perfect character to balance him out. She's cheerful and bubbly. The running joke throughout the book is that Ben looks like Daniel Deluca, a famous actor and Tuesday's former teenage crush. At first, mentioning this was okay, but then the constant references to the actor became irritating.
The only thing that would have made me give it five stars is if it had been slightly longer, because the ending felt rushed.
As for the audiobook, Erin Mallon deserves all the praise for her incredible solo performance. She embodies Tuesday's personality and also perfectly captures the essence of our bubbly heroine and grumpy hero. I loved it.
This book contains many tropes, but they were all executed well. So, if you love grumpy x sunshine, billionaire romance, fake dating, and holiday romance mixed into a perfect blend of spice and fluff, this one is for you.
Thank you to NetGalley and @BrillianceAudio for this ALC in exchange for an honest review.

This book had me smiling from the first chapter. American in London is a grumpy/sunshine, fake fiancé rom-com that hits all the right notes—funny, emotional, and full of chemistry.
Tuesday Reynolds is a people-pleaser in overdrive, fresh off a breakup and a work mess, landing in London hoping to salvage her career. Ben Kelley is a buttoned-up Brit with zero interest in romance—but very interested in saving the historic hotel his dad once ran. The catch its he needs to convince a duke and duchess he’s a family man… fast. Enter Tuesday, with a chance to earn a down payment on a New York apartment if she agrees to play his fiancée.
Tuesday and Ben fall into something that starts out fake but gets real fast. Watching Ben soften and Tuesday find her confidence made the romance land in a way that felt sweet and satisfying.
Tuesday is relatable, witty, and just messy enough to feel real. Ben is reserved and dry in the best British way, but also secretly sweet and completely gone for her. Their banter is great, the tension is slow-building but worth it, and the side characters (especially the duchess!) bring warmth and humor.
I listened to the audiobook, and Erin Mallon crushed it. She brought Tuesday to life with just the right energy and somehow nailed the male voices, especially Ben’s. Even with just her narration, the characters all felt distinct and easy to follow.
This one’s perfect for fans of fake dating with heart, cozy-but-steamy romance, and swoony Brits who fall hard.

I'm completely blown away by how great Louise Bay's An American in London is! An unapologetic mélange of every trope under the sun, and the MCs joke about it the whole way through. I loved the fun, the romance, the humor, and the fascinating characters.
Louise Bay writes beautifully, and they paint such vivid pictures of the London sites and the English people. From the slightly abrasive barista to the stuffy Duke with a huge soft spot for his vivacious Dutchess, Bay nails these characters and makes the whole novel come alive.
Told from Tuesday's point of view, we really get to know her and I was genuinely plugging for her happily ever after in life and love!
The audio version of An American in London is beautifully performed by Erin Mallon who really had her plate full with this extensive cast! Whan an excellent job they did on this book.

My goodness, did I enjoy this book! And narrated by my favorite narrator. Such a lovely romance. 5 stars
Many thanks to Net Galley and Brilliance Publishing for an audio ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Thanks to Brilliance Audio for the ALC.
An American in London was just such an enjoyable listen. Tuesday is in London to prove herself to a new CEO when she keeps running into a man that looks remarkably similar to her childhood favorite actor. The thing is…Ben is kind of a grump.
When Ben and Tuesday become fake engaged for Ben’s business, the progression is so comfortable. I loved watching them go from bickering strangers, to friends, to eventually two people pining for each other.
Despite the rom-com-y feel of this story, it had some surprising depths regarding grief. Tuesday opening up to Ben about the grief of missing her mother was so heartwarming and brought me to (almost) tears!
Overall, this was a cute and quick listen with a great narrator in Erin Mallon!

What a charming story! It had all the Bridgerton vibes with a modern setting. The story follows Tuesday Reynolds, who travels to London to salvage her job in NYC. There, she crosses paths with the grumpy and reserved Ben Kelley. Ben proposes a plan: Tuesday will pose as his fake fiancée to help him impress a Duke and Duchess in return she gets more money than she can think of. Their relationship starts off as strictly platonic, but as they get to know each other better, feelings begin to develop.
𝐓𝐮𝐞𝐬𝐝𝐚𝐲 has a fun personality, her optimism is refreshing. Ben, on the other hand, finds her positive energy annoying at first but with enough time he realizes she actually brightens his life. Together, they make an adorable pair!
🎧I loved the audio version. 𝐄𝐫𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐥𝐥𝐨𝐧 deserves high praise for her fantastic solo performance. She has impeccable comedic timing. She perfectly captured the essence of our cheerful Tuesday and the grumpy Ben.
𝐎𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐥, if you’re in the mood for a London setting, a dashing British gentleman, and a charming American girl, then this audiobook is perfect for you!

I loved this stand-alone quirky romance.
Tuesday Reynolds is effervescent even now that her life is in turmoil. She's in London fighting for her job but determined to enjoy being there. She bumps into Ben Kelley is the dryest lead I've read in a good while. Mistaking him for a her favourite actor. He has a singular focus but a good heart. When he makes her an offer that is so far removed from anything she'd normally consider, she says no, on response. But with her mum's voice in her head telling her to do something new. Take the chance. So she does.
The audio was such a fun listen. The narrator is Erin Mallon. I love her voice she brings the fun and the emotion to every character.

I haven’t read a book by Louise in too long. I really enjoy books set in England. It just reminds me of the culture I grew up in. And Louise always does a fantastic job of marrying American and British settings and characters. She also manages to strike the perfect balance of humour and heart.
This is a fun story. It’s a feel-good one with a broody billionaire and a woman who’s trying to work out what SHE actually wants instead of just being a people pleaser.
Erin does an amazing job with the narration. It’s always impressive to hear a voice actor smashing solo narration. She has a range of voices and really puts us in the thick of it.
So if you’re looking for a…

Holiday romance (and no, that’s not a Christmas one, that’s a vacation one, IYKYK!)
Grab AN AMERICAN IN LONDON. It’s brilliant!

A rendezvous of the heart that is full of surprises. Bay takes emotions on an escapade as unpredictable as it is sincere. Ben and Tuesday light up the canvas with a fire that never dies down. From the heat of romance to the spice of life, An American in London is a big adventure that dares to be bold.

Ben and Tuesday are everything in the newest book releasing this week by Louise Bay. As a huge LB fan for years, I knew I would enjoy it, because she really can do no wrong. Listening to the alc done in single narration by Erin Mallon, ever the pro, the audio is perfection. As much as I love dual and duet, this was my first single narration in a very long time, and I wasn't left feeling like I was missing out. This one was just fine with Erin going solo.
If you love romance movies, this is the book for you. Tuesday goes to London to work for 6 weeks after a break up. Upon arrival at her hotel, she finds out she's shown up at the same time as a convention for one of her fave movie stars. While out for coffee, she bumps into Ben, a grumpy Brit, that looks very much like the crush she remembers growing up while sharing movies with her mom. After several times where they happen on one another, Tuesday finds herself being offered an opportunity to make some money to move when she returns home by acting like the fake fiancee for Ben. Ben is looking to buy some hotels from someone that doesn't want to sell them, but doesn't have anybody to pass them down to either.
We get so many tropes in this one. Fake dating/engagement, workplace, grumpy/sunshine, billionaire, and vacation romance. The entire book just leaves you feeling warm and happy. And the ending. It's just so satisfying. An easy read that is the perfect start for summer on a beach.
Thanks to Louise Bay, NetGalley, and Montlake for alc and arc.

This is my first Louise Bay book! It was absolutely lovely. Tuesday and Ben had great chemistry! Erin Mallon did a fantastic job narrating and I will read more in the future!!

Love me some Louise Bay and of course, An American in London is a fun, lighthearted, cute romance that had me swooning.

It was funny, heartwarming, and such a charming story. I was captivated and completely smitten from beginning to end.
As always, Erin Mallon narration was perfection. Her performance was flawless. She truly made the experience unforgettable and really brought the book to life. This audiobook is a prime example of why Erin Mallon is one of my favorite narrators.
Highly recommend.

Audio/eBook Review:
An American In London Is British billionaire Ben Kelley and American Tuesday Reynolds mistaken identity romance. I loved everything about this book from the characters to the narration and everything in between. It’s a well written, entertaining and engaging read that took me away from real life.
An accidental meeting where Tuesday mistakes Ben for her teenage crush actor Danielle De Luca which leads to so much more…..
I smiled and I swooned as I cheered this couple on.
Erin Mallon did a great job bringing the characters , the drama, the humour and their story to life. She was spot on with the emotion and was very easy to listen to.
I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley.
