Overall I enjoyed the story. There were some blips and jumps though.

Chapters 1-14 were a good start to introducing the characters. Sherry started off strong.

Chapters 15 I feel like the relationship turns too fast. The go from avoiding each other to holding hands and having flirting banter. From then on Sherry's naivety in her relationship and what Matteo does, I feel doesn't suit the character we are shown before or even when she is actively working.

Such a fun sexy read. Like a "Godfather" light. The characters are great and the story moves quickly. The love story is believable and you want them to be together. The crime family is somehow on the right side of the story and you want them to win. This would be a fun thriller of a movie.

A mafia drama that tried to be gripping but ended up more like a lukewarm cup of decaf coffee—bland, uninspired, and lacking any real punch. The plot felt rushed, the characters one-dimensional, and I spent more time checking how many pages were left than actually enjoying the book.

Mafia, DEA, cat and mouse - and a bit of instant chemistry with a public defender who is tied to the family. A bit choppy and standard mafia activity.
