I tried a few times to get into this book, but for some reason it didn't quite click with me, it's not a bad book by any means, and having different narrators for the different characters is really good and effective, it just wasn't enough for me to get hooked

Phew this book was an absolute ride from start to finish!! And I loved it.
There are a lot of threads to this story and it would have been easy for the whole thing to feel convoluted and confusing, but the threads are woven so masterfully that the story made sense, even though I spent so much of it scratching my head and wondering what the heck was going on.
I loved the suspense in the middle where we start to wonder how reliable our narrators really are. Are they all off their rockers? And yet there's a supernatural threads that makes almost ANYTHING possible.
Even once the mystery is mostly solved, there's still a super suspenseful question of will the villain keep getting away with it? Will the right people believe what's happened?
Honestly just a masterful mystery, a surreal reading experience, and Monroe manages to be a sympathetic protagonist even when you're questioning everything he's said. I really enjoyed this from start to finish and will absolutely be checking out more of Minty's work.
Additionally, I listened to this on audio, and man, the cast is top notch. The accents (especially for Enzo's POV chapters) were SO rich and the narrators all added so much depth to their parts. Just so well performed and i think the narration and different voices are part of what made the whole story easier to keep track of and less confusing than if it had only been one narrator. super well performed and produced.
Thanks to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial Audio for an advanced track of this book.

Thank you to the author, narrator, publisher and Net Galley for providing a free e-audio version of this title in exchange for my review.
Wow, there's just a bit o f everything in this book! Horror mixed with thriller vibes, and add in some mystery. Clear the calendar when you start this one, it's a hard one to stop once you're started. The twists and turns keep coming throughout the book. Characters are diverse and descriptions are vivid.
4 stars.

The narrator did a really great job and I did really enjoy this one. I was hooked from the beginning and kept trying to figure out if the main character was actually loosing his mind or if what was happening was real...which I kind of think was the point. I had to keep flipping pages to figure things out ans get to the end. If you're looking for a psychological thrillers, I highly recommend.

This gets a solid 4.75 stars: SO GOOD WTF!!! Everyone that likes mystery NEEDS to read this ASAP. This just misses being a 5 star for no specific reason other than it just didn't quite feel like one.

Psychosis diagnosis by Nikky Minty is an amazing horror, mystery thriller. This book is so well executed, planned and plotted.
Thank you NetGalley, BooksGoSocial Audio, author Nikki Minty and narrators Jodie Harris, Karen Chilton, James Fouhey, Ari Maza Long, Tamblyn Lord for this amazing adventure.
For anyone who loves magic, witches, ghosts, horror, mystery, betrayal this one is for you!
The narrators were simply phenomenal, the accents, the way they brought everything and everyone to life simply chefs kiss!
This story is a multiple POV story with a very interesting present and past dynamic. You have to uncover many dark secrets in order to get to the bottom of the mystery. Monroe is our lead POV and not only, he is a teenager, that has a rough upbringing, trying to save a girl, gets himself in more trouble, and the story and mystery unfold. If you know me I do not spoil and this story is a puzzle that you have to put together and trust your instincts.
Thank you so much for the opportunity!

The audio book was 10/10. I do think the audio book made this experience better. I think the story was good and the twists, spooky element, family secrets, and mystery were all well done, but I can see how this would have been a little confusing to follow without audio with the different timelines and characters.... The narration was superb.
This story had me hooked.

Thank you to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial Audio for providing an advance reader copy of this book. All opinions are my own.
Monroe is a young man who is living with his drug-addicted mother and ends up meeting Indi, his next door neighbor who is involved with a religious cult and is arranged to be married to the pastor of the group. They become close and decide to run away together in order to remove themselves from their life situations. One night, Monroe hears blood-curdling screams and ends up in a psychiatric hospital due to "drug-induced psychosis." When he returns to his hometown a year later to search for Indi, he is told that she doesn't exist and never existed. Thus begins Monroe's search for proof that Indi did exist and where he can locate her.
This was a wild ride. The idea of a religious cult scares me anyways, and this book took it to a whole new level. I loved the dual timelines and I loved how it all came together at the end. This book had everything a horror books needs - psychiatric hospitals, unreliable characters, supernatural elements, etc. We went through puzzle after puzzle trying to figure out whether Indi was real or not, which I really liked. I felt like I was immersed in the story and I often questioned my own "sanity" on whether I believed Monroe or not.
If you like books with voodoo-vibes, unreliable characters that make you yourself feel unreliable, twists and turns and satisfying endings, you will enjoy this one from Nikki Minty.

Audiobook: 5⭐️
Book: 4⭐️
Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial Audio for providing me with the ALC of Psychosis Diagnosis in exchange for an honest review!
Okay, I won’t lie—this audiobook was incredible. The full-cast narration brought the story to life in the most immersive way. Each character had a distinct voice, which made it so much easier to follow the complex, shifting dynamics, and the emotional performances added a lot of depth to the experience. Honestly, one of the best audiobook productions I’ve listened to this year!
The story itself was gripping and unsettling—in all the best ways. Psychosis Diagnosis follows Monroe, a teenager trying to escape a traumatic past, who ends up entangled in a horrifying web of cult abuse, mental health misdiagnosis, and small-town secrets. The Church of Salvation is the stuff of nightmares, and the book tackles themes of gaslighting, isolation, and institutional failure with chilling clarity.
As a horror fan, I loved the blend of psychological suspense and occult themes. The pacing kept me hooked, and I never knew where the story was going—just when I thought I had it figured out, another layer unraveled. That unpredictability really worked for me and kept my brain engaged the whole time.

I had fun on the journey of this story but was disappointed with the “twist” because it was so OBVIOUS. There were lots of turns along the way that I couldn’t guess which made it better but the overall big reveal was exactly as I thought it would be which made me a little disappointed.

This is a true horror story psychological murder mystery that I completely ate up! You follow a male main character who ends up in a psychiatric hospital that is completely creepy. There’s so many diverse characters so many twist and turns I was hooked throughout the whole book love the audio love the narrators. I will definitely be picking up a physical copy so I can reread it when it comes out.

Thank you NetGalley for the audiobook arc while I loved the full cast of narrators this story does seem a little bit all of er the place and hard to follow at times. While the story synopsis sound interesting the execution just wasn’t for me. I’m 36% into the book and the story is just confusing to me.

The ALC of Psychosis Diagnosis by Nikki Minty is a very difficult audio to get through. Maybe the communication of what happens and which character it happens to on pages computes better than through verbal communication because at 75% in I have no idea what is going on and stopped looking forward to trying to figure it out. I cannot continue to read this but appreciate the opportunity. I am not going to review this on my socials,

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial Audio and also the author Nikki Minty for this audio copy of psychosis diagnosis.
Love love love!! This book is an amazing read! If you love magic, witches, and betrayal you’re in for a good one! This also has a cast of narrators and they made the book so enjoyable to listen to!
This book has an amazing concept and it was well executed. Set in Australia we follow Monroe Morgan who grew up with his drug addict mother. He grew up in a shaggy house and one day he met his neighbor Indi, she confided in him about her dad abusing her and he decided he was going to help get her out of there away from her dad but then he gets locked away for a year. After getting out he finds out indi doesn’t live in the same house anymore. Can he find her before it’s too late late? As Monroe is on the hunt to find Indi he moves in with his sister and starts working at a pub, he uncovers so many dark secrets that he was never aware of. We follow multiple POVs on this book and I love how just the ending ties everything together.
This book made me remember what a 5 star book is. I loved it so much. I’m definitely buying a physical copy.

Overall 3.75 stars.
Premise: A troubled young man who grows in unfortunate circumstances with a drug addict as a mother finds himself wanting to help his next door neighbour, a young girl who has been repeatedly abused by her father. He comes to find out that her family is involved with a cult that no one else believes to exist. Everything comes to a head when he realises no one believes his story or that the abused young girl exists.
This is a supernatural thriller that explores the themes of black magic and satanic cults. The story is said from points of view of different characters from two different timelines; this gives readers a sense of understanding a global story with multiple facets to each character and helps readers link up the timeline. Although I personally found the use of multiple POVs in this story quite a clever and easy to read way of understanding the whole picture that spans over several years; some readers may feel this to be quite jarring.
The characters were well written with several of them being likeable however certain aspects of relationships between characters were not well explored and felt quite rushed.
I listened to the Uxío narration while reading the book and it really gave a good sense of feeling immersed into the story. The narrators did a wonderful job with each character and expressing the emotion well.
Overall it was a predictable and yet intriguing thriller.

Psychosis Diagnosis was a fast paced, multi-POV paranormal thriller. It jumps back and forth between different characters and timelines that kept me engaged.
I thought it was a fun, creepy read and enjoyed the storyline. However, I do think it felt unrealistic at times. Particularly in terms of how quickly the characters would develop trust/relationships.
I enjoyed Enzo’s narrator and POV the most! It felt a little reminiscent of Sinners at times.
Overall it was a fun, spooky read.
Thank you to BooksGoSocial Audio for the ARC!

This audio was chefs kiss. With the accurate accents, multiple narrators, and slightly read as a graphic audio with the screams and some sound effects. It made an enjoyable immersive reading experience.

My First ARC—And WOW, Did It Deliver
My First ARC—And It Absolutely Wrecked Me (In the Best Way)
Let’s take a moment: THIS was my first-ever ARC review, and wow, did it set the bar sky-high. I went in expecting dark psychological twists—and came out questioning everything.
Psychosis Diagnosis is a chilling, fast-paced deep dive into cults, trauma, and one young man’s terrifying fight to uncover the truth. It’s part psychological horror, part conspiracy thriller—and completely gripping. From the first chapter, I was hooked, and by the end, I was pacing my living room like, “WHAT did I just read?!”
This book is twisty, dark, and hits hard on both an emotional and adrenaline-pumping level. Nikki Minty nailed it.

🎨 Let’s Talk Cover Art
Obsessed. The cover features a red-haired girl in a vintage white dress—looking eerily innocent but totally haunted—standing against a dark, shadowy wall scrawled with blood-red writing. The bold, messy title font screams psychological horror, and there’s this unsettling mix of purity and menace that fits the story’s vibe perfectly. Honestly? A+ creep factor. It practically dares you to open the book (and ruin your peace of mind).
📝 Quote
"As if snapping back to himself, the spark in his eyes ebbs, dimming to a low burning ember."
YES. This line stuck with me—it’s eerie, understated, and exactly the kind of subtle horror that creeps under your skin.
🔍 What to Expect
- Deep Psychological Horror: Messes with your head—in the best way.
- Supernatural Suspense: Keeps you guessing right to the end.
- Twists on Twists: Plot curveballs that hit hard.
- Heart-Wrenching Emotion: I felt every bit of Monroe’s fear and struggle.
- Unputdownable Pace: Say goodbye to your sleep schedule.
💭 Final Thoughts
As my first ARC, this book will forever have a special place in my horror-loving heart. Nikki Minty weaves a story that’s creepy, fast-paced, and packed with emotional gut punches. The way it balances raw, real mental health themes with supernatural terror? Absolutely masterful.
It’s rare to find horror that delivers both scares and substance, but Psychosis Diagnosis nails it. I finished feeling haunted, heartbroken, and SO grateful that this was the book that launched my ARC reviewing journey. An easy 5/5—and honestly, I wish I could give it more.
🔮 What’s Next from Nikki Minty
While Psychosis Diagnosis is a standalone, Nikki Minty is also known for her Zadok Series, a sci-fi/fantasy saga with dystopian elements and rich world-building. Although that series is more in the sci-fi/fantasy lane, Psychosis Diagnosis shows she’s got serious horror chops too. I’ll definitely be watching to see if she brings us more dark and creepy stories in the future!

The narrators did a great job. The story takes place in the 90’s it goes back and forth to 70’s, the past, and it’s multiple POV which I enjoyed most, the story was very captivating and medium paced with horror factors and somewhat of a psychological thriller as well. The thrill and the plot twists had me hooked until the end and the ending was satisfying once everything came together. It has been a while since I was so gripped by the plot until the end I would recommend to anyone who likes thrillers, dark magic and horror stories.
Thank you to Netgalley and Nikki Minty for the ability to review the audiobook.

I won't lie, the start of this story had me slightly worried about how the characters' , especially the main character's, mental health was going to be handled, but as the story went on and more context was added, the book grew on me more and more. I do not think it was the perfect story and it felt as though some characters might not have acted in the most logical ways or felt slightly like a caricature, but the plot and storytelling were compelling. I will most likely be checking out the other series by Nikki Minty, as I am curious to see how I would find more of her writing.
The audiobook was well produced, and I appreciated the multiple narrators who would each come in when their character would have dialogue/when the story was told from their point of view. My only complaint is the way the screams were handled and how loud those would be compared to the rest of the narration. They could have still been included, but *greatly* reduced in volume or left more in the background of the production.
